**Trigger warnings necessary for 2 of the installments, spoilers for 3rd story**

These are both also in the book Hunger.

Dangerous Passions by Kate Douglas: 5 stars: This continues the Feral Passions storyline that I LOVE. A bit of a trigger warning is needed as there's a new female wolf in the area that has a pretty horrendous past, but it's handled well.

Bound to the Wolf by AC Arthur: 1 star: I'm not finishing. 2 attempted violations in the span of 4 chapters is more than I want to read. Granted the first one was pretty brutal and sets the storyline, but the 2nd "oh she's so hot, I must touch her while she sleeps" is bullshit.

The sex scenes were super hot, but the stories were over detailed which called for lots of skimming just to get the important parts. I def had higher hopes for this one but entertaining anyway.

Claimed by the Mate, Vol. 3 Feral Passions third installment by Kate Douglas & A.C. Arthur

Once again, Kate Douglas has written a hot and also romantic story that has given me butterflies in my stomach. Traker and Evan will have you swooning with every page as they shower Darnell with endless support and protection. Not only that, but we get to witness little moments where their wolves spend time with her. Dangerous Passion is a great story to curl up and get lost in.

A.C Arthur is a new author to me, but the way she was able to shift my attention in Bound by the Wolf was amazing. From the moment, Marena and Phelan meet it was explosive. Sexual tension was everywhere, like a crackling fire that just kept getting hotter and hotter. Besides the hot chemistry moments, A.C Arthur created a great storyline that takes the two main characters on a mission to finding what happened to Davis, the man who she shot in selfdefense and clearing her name.

If you enjoy shifter reads, I would suggest reading Claimed by the Mate.

Bound to the Wolf

I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book

This book had me at hello. I loved Phelan Sava in the previous books and I was happy to finally get his story. I also loved Marena Panos because she was such a fighter....she refused to give up... she refused to let the enemy win.

Together Phelan and Marena kicked but. Overall a great addition to the series.

Popular author of a popular series and she never disappoints. Kate Douglas and her anthologies never fail her readers.

I find myself struggling with most BBW romances. The focus is always on the size. I enjoy reading a book for the storyline and not the size of the women. It is also quite hypocritical, because in every book the male is a sex god, who just so happens to be drop dead gorgeous with little to no flaws. It’s true that people come in all shape and sizes but when I am reading fantasy/paranormal/sci-fi, I am doing so to escape reality. When you put whiny women who are only focused on size and being negative about those who are thinner, it takes the whole fantasy away. It becomes everyday life.

This is the third and concluding volume in this series. Don’t let the cover fool you, neither story is not a menage romance but both involve shifters. I highly recommend reading the previous two volumes before reading this one as the stories are a three part series with this being the final part.

In Dangerous Passions, only two of the pack haven’t met and claimed their mates after running the Feral Passions Resort for a season - everyone else has met their mate or mates. Evan Dark met one woman who keeps visiting his dreams but he did little more than kiss her when she stayed at the resort earlier in the season. When she takes the initiative and turns up at the resort again their attraction is stronger than ever - but she’s human and isn’t aware of their shifter nature . . . . Traker Jakes is the alpha of the Trinity Alps pack and is amazed to meet his mate when pack mates bring the local florist in to tell her story. She’s in danger, escaping from an abusive pack and trouble is following close behind her. This story is full of dilemmas, action packed and with plenty of love interest too. It was a great finale to the series and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The characters are well developed, easy to relate to and there are plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader enthralled. I’ll certainly be looking out for more books by Kate Douglas in future!

Bound to the Wolf has an intriguing plot and is a very different blend of shifter and mythology. However, for me, the detailed, steamy scenarios detracted from the flow of the story and didn’t enhance it in any way. I’d have preferred more story detail, but that’s probably just me! There were just too many inconsistencies in character behaviour, plot and events to make this a story I’d want to read again but that’s just me - others may well love it!

Many thanks to the publishers who gifted me a copy of this book through NetGalley without any obligations. This is my honest review after choosing to read it!

Claimed By The Mate Vol. 3 is an exciting and passionate adventure into the world of wolf shifters. In Dangerous Passions by Kate Douglas, I revisit Feral Passions Resort and her wolves. Darnell has come back to claim her man. She can't get Evan out of her mind. Their connection is powerful, but she doesn't know that he's a wolf shifter. What will she do when she finds the truth? Meanwhile Trak, their pack leader, finds his mate when he offers protection to Chelo. She's fleeing abuse and violence, but she's being hunted. Can Trak and the Pack save her. As these two couples seek their HEA , I was pulled into a story that's filled with passion and suspense. I like all the characters, the resort setting and the passionate romances. I care for the shifters of Feral Passions. Bound To The Wolf by A.C. Arthur tells the exciting story of Marena, an overworked lawyer, whose life is forever changed when she's bitten and becomes a lycan. She needs to get away or be arrested. Her attacker has disappeared. While on the run, she meets Phelan, a lycan with an attitude. He takes her to Blaez, his leader. Zeus wants Blaez alive or dead. Is he behind what happened? I cared for Marena. She's courageous and determined. Phelan carries his pain in his soul, but his connection with Marena soothes him. The chemistry and connection between these two is amazing. I enjoyed seeing them bond. This is an exciting story filled with non-stop action and unrelenting evil. I was kept on the edge of my seat. There was so much excitement and suspense. I can't wait for more adventures. I know that Zeus won't give up.

There are two books in this bundle, and there's also a major problem; neither of them is a menage romance.

Why is that a problem?

Take another look at that cover. I'll wait.

Oh.

There's another problem: the blurb for Dangerous Passions is for a threesome story. It's not a threesome at all. It's two completely separate romances, both one man and one woman, happening concurrently. So if you're coming into this expecting a menage story, sorry. You're out of luck because someone at the publisher has clearly screwed the pooch.

That said, I really enjoyed Dangerous Passions. It's always a risk reading the last book in a series (or starting any place other than the middle) because you never know whether the author will have included enough backstory for things to make sense.

Kate Douglas has, and well enough that I actually went looking for the rest of the series. I'd have bought them, too, if I'd been able to do so individually instead of having to buy half a dozen bundles with authors I'm not interested in. If Ms. Douglas ever decides to release the Feral Passions series as a bundle by herself, I'd happily buy it.

I'd give her story five stars, but I've got to knock off a star because of that misleading cover and blurb.

Bound To The Wolf, I have to admit I struggled to get into. There was too much backstory missing, and the writing didn't grab me enough to care about going to look for the others.

My criteria for what makes a good series is that each book should stand on its own merits, but intrigue you enough about the other characters appearing that you should want to read the rest. I really didn't. Three stars.

However, I have to say that I love the fact that both authors are writing diverse female leads; black, Latina, big and small, they deserve recognition for their efforts to bring more diversity into paranormal romance. For that reason I'm going to round up my review average to four stars overall.

(But the publisher really needs to fix that misleading cover and blurb or you're gonna have VERY ANNOYED readers disappointed at the lack of menage in this book! Why not a black woman on the cover, either? Come on, representative cover art is important!)

Two great stories with some sexy alpha shifters. The stories are fast paced with lots of drama and the steam is off the charts hot. I really enjoyed both paranormal reads

These are two super-sexy novellas, packed with plenty of danger and excitement. DANGEROUS PASSIONS, A Feral Passions Story by Kate Douglas, takes us back to the lodge where the wolves each found their mates. Evan and Darnell (Nellie) were reunited amidst a new danger stalking them all. I liked Evan’s gentle humor and how Nellie just seemed to fit. I particularly enjoyed Trak meeting Chelo and how that relationship worked out amidst the turmoil. A fast-paced story that will keep you reading. BOUND TO THE WOLF, by A.C. Arthur had a different feel to it. A little darker, but no less smoldering. Phelan meets his mate Marena. I wasn’t too sure how I felt about her, but she soon grew on me. I got so engrossed in the story that time flew by quickly. It was a sexy and intense story. All in all, I liked the addition to each series.

Once again the Claimed by the Mate, Vol. 3 – double story series has given those of us readers who absolutely love and devour Shifter Romance another set of satisfying, sexy, totally hot and intriguing stories to enjoy.

Although I have to be frank and say that the Cover Description for Dangerous Passions in the Feral Passions Resort series is somewhat confusing – Evan has his love interest return to the resort to make her own claim on her happiness with him… alone. And Trak finally finds his alpha female love in the arms of a wounded, abused female shifter new to the pack’s territory… again, a separate couple. There is no menage for this story, although there has been in previous stories in this series… so confusion there. (I hope someone from St. Martin’s Press sees this and addresses it because the description might draw or turn away certain audiences when it’s not correct for the two separate romances going on in this story)

Both Dangerous Passions and Bound to the Wolf are excellent, sexy and will fully engage readers in the lives of these characters. I will confess that although I’ve enjoyed both stories, this time around it was Dangerous Passions that won my heart. Seeing Trak find his perfect match was such a delight and their story was not only completely hot and sexy but a page turner for the suspense and danger they faced. I will miss this group of amazing, funny, sexy and endearing shifters and their mates – and hope that we’ll find a reason to revisit them some day.

In all, I completely enjoyed my time spent in these two Shifter worlds and am saddened to see them come to a close – although, now I can’t wait to see what Kate Douglas and A.C. Arthur offer us next.

i love each stories. live how Trak got the most difficult time for them. i actually like the plot of Ms. Kate, but more so when she pulled that wonderful twist for the Alpha of her book. it was such a fitting way to end it.

Phelan's story? i can say wow! never thought that it could be that intense and that deep. i really liked how each of Blaez, betas found their mate. and what can i say, hands down!!!

Dangerous Passions by Kate Douglas ~ Evan finally gets his story and for him it is perfect. Of all the men in this series Evan was the quietest and hardest to get a feeling for but in this book he finally shows his true colors. The reader will be excited to see how he ultimately meets someone who gets his wolf all excited and how they work together to protect someone they care about.

Traker for me seemed the hardest to match and throughout this book you see his obstacles in finding someone that can meet all his alpha needs as well as satisfy his wolf. The author did a superb job of finding someone that adds lots of interest to this story and draws his interest.

Secondary characters are the people from the previous two books as well as some new villains to add lots of intrigue. Hopefully you've read the first two books so you can enjoy seeing how their lives evolved. But this can be read as a stand alone in my opinion.

Kudo's to the author for the great ending to a sexy, entertaining series!

Bound to the Wolf by A. C. Arthur ~ Marena is very complex and the situation she falls into is beyond anything she wants to deal with or understands. Her desire to control all things is displayed in a manner that is not annoying or overbearing. The author does a brilliant job with the development of her character as well as Phelan's.

Phelan enthralled me in the other books to this series and I have been patiently waiting for his story. What I liked about him was how messy his life was and how he is much more then the reader originally gives him credit for. I was intrigued by his back history and what drove him as well has his connection to the Gods.

The reader will love the ending and be quite satisfied. I hope you have read this series....it's very good but if you haven't you will still love this book about Phelan and Marena.

Overall, I liked the closing out of the respective series and am glad I got to see how the various men and women met their mates.

Dangerous Passions: The last two unattached shifters are on deck and they're dealing with sexy times and romance and a passel of dangerous individuals who are looking to cause trouble. Evan reconnects with someone he hasn't been able to get out of his head and Trak meets someone who is a match for his own alpha power.

I am kinda giving the blurb side-eye, though, because it makes it sound like the two wolves are sharing a lady-friend and that wasn't the story I read. Ahh, well. I enjoyed spending time with the Trinity Alps pack and am glad to see them all properly mated up.

Bound to the Wolf: I liked this one, but I felt like the mythology aspects got a little muddled. Like, there was A LOT going on in parts as the pack worked to protect Blaez and maintain the balance of power. It did work nicely to close out the series, but I had to handwave how Marena (an unknown until this book) happened to be in the right place at the right time to put her in Phelan's path so they could go into battle together. At the same time...GODS, MAN. They work in mysterious ways. So maybe it wasn't so much handwaving as godwaving. I don't know. I still liked the story and the sexy times Phelan and Marena got into.

Kate Douglas and A.C. Arthur return with another scorching volume in their Claimed by the Mate series featuring two delicious, unforgettable novels in one!

In Dangerous Passions, Feral Passions Resort is the place for women to find romance and seduction with a hot, hard werewolf alpha mate. Traker Jakes and Evan Dark of the Trinity Alps pack have yet to find a strong, sexy BBW woman to consume with heady pleasure. But a special woman has arrived at Feral Passions Resort. The one who will burn with passion between these two sexy werewolf shifters. Desire will reach its peak…and the best these three can do is hold on to the sensations that erupt between them.

In Bound to the Wolf, Phelan Sava is a lycan werewolf shifter with a dark side to his soul. He lives for pleasure and revels in pain. But what burns for more than anything is a woman to dominate with his unbridled passion and desperate lust for good. Marena Panos is an attorney with a dark secret that follows her into the mountains and into the bed of a Phelan Sava. And when she is hunted by the feral beast that ravishes her body and claims her soul, Marena has no choice but to give in with no intention of ever looking back.

Review:

Two more exciting stories in this third volume.

Both center around Alpha males and the women who come into their lives and need rescuing. Not saying the women are not strong and tough, but every girl needs an equally strong guy. In Kate's story you get a much more ensemble piece. Where really two couples come together, Evan and Darnell and Traker and Chelo are the ones finding love and a mate this time around. In A.C.'s story it is about Phelan and Marena. Both books are full of danger and dangerous people/shifters out to do harm. Things get very intense in both books and I kept waiting for the baddies to pounce. Now, both have some good ol' sexy times too. The chemistry between all is palpable and both Authors write very hot intimate scenes. There is no need to read the other books in the series to enjoy this volume, but I would just for further enjoyment. Besides this is the end of the Feral Passions trilogy, so if you are one to wait until all books are released, now is the time.

This book gave me a steamy supernatural fix on a cold winters day.

What a great shifter combination with these two authors. You get the super sweet, protective Alpha's in Dangerous Passion by Kate Douglas and the really intense, protective Alpha in Bound to the Wolf by A.C. Arthur.

4 Stars for Dangerous Passion by Kate Douglas.

Normally I like the more dominant alpha's in my books but I can not complain about a man who is all about taking care of his woman. That's exactly what you get in Dangerous Passion. This book is loaded with sugary sweetness. Plus you get two couples story in one book!

5 Stars for Bound to the Wolf.

Bound to the wolf is almost the complete opposite. Talk about intense! You can't get more dominant than Phelan. I would best describe him as dominant, broody and commanding. It takes a very strong woman to handle Phelan and he certainly met his match with Marena. I had to bring out the fan for this book. Hot! Hot! Hot!

Both books are a continuation in the series. While I think you could read them as a standalone, you will be missing some information on characters that were in previous books. ARC provided by NetGalley.

I enjoy reading this series. I especially like the Kate Douglas series, Feral Passions , featuring the werewolves of Feral Passions Resort. With only 2 men without mates the resort is changing to a wedding venue. Nell returns for Evan and a new werewolf, asks for protection from the pack and Trak knows he's found his love. Book two deals with the lycans and the Greek gods and while it's a good shifter series, it's not my favorite. Both authors, Kate Douglas and A.C. Arthur write beautiful steamy love stories.
