What a wonderful read! Samantha Chase has crafted a romance so full of the feels that you can’t help but sigh in satisfaction when you turn the last page!

Owen has always been the shy, quiet, nerdy Shaughnessy brother. The Clark Kent to his rock star twin brother’s Superman. He’s a bit socially awkward and still carries around a lot of the same insecurities that plagued him during his childhood. He’s been so wrapped up in his work that he often doesn’t even notice that life is happening around him, and if it wasn’t for his family he probably would never get his head out of the stars.

Brooke was once a mean girl beauty queen who was never given credit for her intelligence since that credit was always reserved for her brother who was a certified genius. After tragedy struck her family she was forced to take a hard look at her life and is trying to be a better person. She’s trying to find her passion in her painting and create a life for herself that is just that – for herself. She's still haunted by her past, but with the help of her Uncle Howard who is her biggest supporter, she is coming to terms with who she is and who she wants to be.

Owen and Brooke share a connection from their first meeting – but neither believe that the other could truly be interested in what they had to offer or was willing to take a chance to find out, but when fate has these two spending time together it isn't long before these two realize that the heart wants what the heart wants. Owen also isn’t thrilled that thoughts of Brooke are distracting from his work, something that has never happened. She’s so distracting in fact that he wasn’t even aware the he was distracted...!

I loved that these two pretty much said what was on their mind and they didn’t play games. There were a few bumps in their relationship that were mostly caused by their own insecurities – yep, looking at you Owen for that move near the end – but each and every one of these bumps made them both stronger as individuals and as a couple.

And what would a Shaughnessy Brothers novel be without getting to spend some time with the entire family? I loved catching up with everyone and, even though they got me a bit angry at how the treated Owen, I loved watching him stand up to his over-protective family and redefining his relationship with them. There are some interesting dynamics going on with the family so it will be interesting to see where the next installment takes us.

Overall, this was a well-written book that moved a little bit slow to start as the groundwork for Owen and Brooke’s relationship was laid, but once the pace picked up it was hard to put down. There’s not a lot of heat in this book, but the emotion, passion, and heart more than make up for it. And although this is book 5 in a series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone, so nothing but missing out on some other great books would be missed by starting the series here.

This is one that definitely belongs on any romance lover’s bookshelf!

Guess who release another fantastic romance book? That is right, Samantha Chase did. She always knows how to write addicting romance series that pulls you in and fall in love with the story. A Sky Full of Stars will pull in because Owen Shaughnessy definitely knows how to make women fall for him even if he does not do it on purpose, and trust me, he is very cute in every way.
A Sky Full of Stars introduces Dr. Owen Shaughnessy, the shy yet intelligent Shaughnessy sibling. In his family, he is very known to be the quiet yet clever brother but he does have social problems that it will create issues in his workplace. Owen is very brilliant in his work that his co-worker should understand that everyone is social. He is his own person and there is nothing wrong with it. And Brooke Matthews definitely agree with this statement.
Brooke Matthews is definitely a beautiful woman that have hidden talents. She is definitely re-discovering herself again that she turns her passion into her career which would be a talented artist in painting astro field. She definitely needs help in capturing images which she asks, Dr. Owen. She definitely attracts to him because he sees beyond her looks. He sees the true her which scare her but also excite her too.
They both have some personal challenges in their life but they are definitely strong in overcoming them. It definitely provides insightful information about each of them but it will boost their relationship. A relationship takes time and work because there are different challenges or issue that couple face which Owen and Brooke will face but they can overcome it.
A Sky Full of Stars will bring light yet intense romance between Owen and Brooke that reader will love their story so much. Five Stars.

A Sky Full of Stars, by Samantha Chase is an interesting contemporary romance, which is focused on family dramatics and relationship drama.

Owen Shaughnessy is a brilliant scientist, yet he tends to struggle in social situations. When he has to lead a group of university students on a trip revolving around a meteor shower, Owen's close colleague recommends Brooke Matthew. Despite her lack of scientific knowledge, Brooke is an artist with her specialty painting nature and the night sky.

Both Owen and Brooke have insecurities and past history issues that lead to relationship drama. This story has a high emphasis on Owen being an extremely smart geek who is awkward and uncomfortable in social situations, as well as Brooke being a former mean girl and beauty pageant contestant who is now a struggling artist. As the story unfolds, they're forced to deal with family complications and issues from the past affecting their future.

Since it's the fifth book in The Shaughnessy Brothers series, it's recommended to start with the first book, Made for Us, yet it's not necessary to read the books in order. However, it's slightly easier to comprehend the full story, especially due to the dynamic interactions between all the family members.

A Sky Full of Stars is geared towards those who enjoy reading modern romances.

Owen is a brilliant astrophysicist however he is extremely shy and lacks confidence in social situations. Due to his intelligence, he thinks differently than others and most people do not take the time to see and appreciate the real Owen beneath the nerdy exterior.

All her life Brooke’s has been praised for her beauty and little else was ever expected of her. She has always been popular and outgoing but she matured from the self centered girl whose had little concern for the feelings of others.

Brooke’s uncle has arranged for her to join Owen on a field study trip as an assistant. It is a mutually beneficial arrange as she can help him with the social side and also spend time working on her art. They are so cute together as Owen doesn’t feel someone as beautiful as Brooke would be interested in a geek like him and she doesn’t believe that a genius like Owen would be interested in someone whose only attribute is her beauty. Although they are complete opposites they. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Samantha Chase has finished up the Shaughnessy brothers with Owen, the shy brainic of the group. Talk about rip your heart and with a few ugly tears to make you enjoy the good parts. Chase takes an astrophysicist and pairs him with former mean girl and beauty pageant girl turned artist and makes it work. You become emotional invested and want it to work for them, besides getting to see the other brothers in the family we have been falling in love with in the series.

A Sky Full of Stars is a very sweet romance. Owen and Brooke may be opposites but they certainly were attracted to each other.
I loved the sexy brainiac hero . Owen was sweet and shy and knew just want it took to Brooke heart. Although he stumbles from time to time he makes a bold move for the woman he loves.

Brooke has learned that she's more than just a pretty face. She's vulnerable but has quickly fallen for Owen.
I liked watching her grow personally as well as a couple with Owen.

The family dynamic that the Schanuessay was well written. I enjoyed the sibling banter and comrade. If I could find any fault with the book is I often felt like they babied Owen. I was routing for him to give them all a piece of his mind and he didn't disappoint.

The book deals with real life issues that were sad but the overall feeling of this book is a true romance.

I received an ARC for a honest review

I loved how Brooke helped Owen come into his own and finally see the man that he is! I don't know how to completely tell you my love for this book without giving anything away. I can tell you that a smiled, laughed and cried while reading this book. Samantha Chase has a way of pulling on my heartstrings! I can't wait for Darcy's story!

I know you’ve heard the old saying - Opposites Attract, well, Samantha Chase brilliantly tells a delightful story of exactly that in ‘A Sky Full of Stars’. Owen and Brooke’s story isn’t insta-love crazy, it’s a beautiful story of two people, who are very attracted to each other, getting to know one another on a deeper level. Both working through their own insecurities, both learning more about who they are and what they are capable of, while also bringing out the best in each other.

Their journey together was so heartfelt and full of emotion. I felt everything right along with them, I laughed, I cried, my heart hurt, I was irritated, but most of all - I loved. I fell in love with all of it.

Samantha Chase has a remarkable gift and gives us amazing stories with exceptional characters and families we all want to be a part of. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.

Having read my way through the Shaughnessy brothers’ books, I had a bit of trepidation when I started Owen’s story. I wasn’t sure how Samantha was going to be able to make me feel warm fuzzies for Owen. I am happy to say that I need not have worried.

I was enchanted by Own and Brooke’s story and if was great to see that their relationship grew at a believable pace. It wouldn’t have been complete without a trip home to see the rest of the Shaughnessy clan and to catch up with the other characters we have come to know. It was touching to see how much they all loved and appreciated Owen and to see him finally be able to see himself not as an outcast. A true opposites attract” story that will have you cheering from the sidelines.

This is such a satisfying series and I will be sad to see it end – I am assuming we have just one left with Darcy’s story.

What a wonderful story of complete opposites! Each coming to one another with their own past memories & insecurites. Brooke and Owen's story was so poignant overcoming those insecurites and their family issues. It was wonderful to see how the other Shaughnessy brothers and spouses are doing! I love the continuity of these stories of this deeply entwined family! It is hard for me to pick a favorite of these books, but Owen and Brooke's story is right up in the top couple!!!! I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did! I can't wait to read Darcy's story. She is a firecracker and I know Samantha Chase will do her story justice as well!

Samantha Chase has created a series of books about the Shaughnessy family and each one is better than the last. In this book, we meet Owen, whom I fell in love with in the first chapter. He has a brilliant mind and can teach you anything you want to know about astrophysics, but struggles when it comes to social interaction. He has been given an opportunity to lead a group of students in a trip to view a meteor shower… the educational part of the trip will be no problem for him but having to interact with the students on a daily basis will be a struggle.

His mentor and dear friend, Howard, steps in to try to help him and introduces him to his niece Brooke. She is the antithesis of Owen… conversant, outgoing, confident… she is everything Owen is not. Howard suggests she joins Owen the trip to help him navigate the social pitfalls that he could find himself in. In spite of their differences, a spark is ignited between them.

Owen has always felt that he was different and that he would never find someone who could love him in spite of all his “nerdiness.” Brooke helps him to see his true worth and their story is a sweet romance that left me with such a warm feeling.

The memories of his mother that are interspersed throughout the book lend such a feeling of love and of family to the story. This is definitely a book worth reading and I would recommend having a box of tissues handy….you may just find yourself shedding a few tears!

Oh my goodness! What a beautiful story! Owen and Brooke...Owen is a college professor and renowned amongst his family for being a genius. When he meets Brooke, he is shocked that she is actually talking to him. Like I said, such a beautiful story that Samantha Chase has written and from the beginning it makes the reader want to cry it is so well done. I couldn't stop reading it.

Owen's story is absolutely the best. I love his connection with his brothers and the deeper connection he builds while searching for how to handle his emerging feelings for Brooke. Brooke is a bit of a mystery. She has found who she wants to be but is till not completely sure of herself and her goals. A wonderful couple. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Another exciting visit with the Shaughnessy's has Samantha Chase doing what she does best ... making us laugh, pulling on our emotions and etching another Shaughnessy brother onto our hearts! A down-to-earth family who are all super supportive of each other, but know how to tell it like it is when they need to.

Owen Shaughnessy has alwasy been the over-the-top smart brother. He might be socially awkward and far from the life of he party, but he's real. He's smart, he's shy, he loves knowledge. Now he's about to undertake a meteor shower excursion that forces him way out of his comfort zone and having to interact with his students/colleagues in a different way than he's comfortable with.

Brooke Matthews is a struggling artist trying to find her way in the world, but she's also the niece of Owen's fellow scientist and mentor, so when she's pitched an idea to go along on Owen's excursion as his assistant, she's excited for the chance! Neither of them expect the zap of attraction they both feel the instant their eyes meet though ... this could make for an interesting situation!

A SKY FULL OF STARS is the fifth book in the Shaughnessy family series by Samantha Chase. Each of the books has focused on one of the brothers. So it is finally time for the brainiac, Dr Owen Shaughnessy to fall in love. Each of the brothers has their own talent but everyone has always made fun of Owen for his mind and love of astronomy. This includes his twin brother Riley who is a famous rock star.

Owen always feels awkward in social situations and assumes people only want to get close to him because of Riley. So when the beautiful Brooke Matthews shows up in his classroon and actually seems to enjoy his lecture, Owen is very uncomfortable. Even when he realizes that Brooke is the niece of his close friend Howard.

Brooke also has family issues related to her brother being expected to be the smart child while her job was being the beauty queen. As Owen and Brooke get acquainted they each work hard to overcome their own issues.

Another great read by Samanth Chase. Highly recommend.

A SKY FULL OF STARS is the fifth installment in Samantha Chase’s contemporary, adult THE SHAUGHNESSY BROTHERS romance series focusing on the Shaughnessy siblings of North Carolina. This is astrophysicist Dr. Owen Shaughnessy, and artist Brooke Matthews’ story line. A SKY FULL OF STARS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Owen is rock star Riley Shaughnessy’s twin brother.

SOME BACKGROUND: Approximately twenty years earlier the Shaughnessy’s lost their mother to a drunk driver that left six siblings (including a one year old infant daughter) without a mother. Fast forward to present day where the now adult children continue to struggle with the loss. Owen’s connection to his mother is their love of the stars, and the memories that remind him of everything they lost

Told from dual third person perspectives (Owen and Brooke) A SKY FULL OF STARS follows the building relationship between astrophysicist Dr. Owen Shaughnessy, and flamboyant artist Brooke Matthews. With the department’s upcoming trip to Red Rock, Nevada Owen’s mentor Dr. Howard Shields asks a favor on behalf of his twenty eight year old niece Brooke Matthews. Brooke is an artist and her specialty is the night sky. A meteor shower would be the perfect muse for our heroine’s talent but Owen’s nerd-like, painfully shy, and emotionally withdrawn personality is not a match for the out-going Brooke Matthews. What ensues is the building relationship between our leading couple, and the fall out when Owen’s issues of trust come to the forefront.

Brooke Matthews is an outgoing, exuberant young woman whose past is shrouded secrets and pain. Raised on the pageant circuit, our heroine walked away from her life to focus on what she loved and what she lost. Owen is the socially awkward, quiet but brilliant genius who prefers to work alone without the distraction of human interaction but his relationship with Brooke Matthews brings out a distinctly different side to our leading hero-a side that is willing to step up and take a stand. The $ex scenes are mostly implied and fade to black.

All of the Shaughnessy siblings and their significant others play secondary and supporting roles. With the arrival of the next generation there are some awkward moments for the family patriarch Ian Shaughnessy, and his lady love.

The world building continues to follow the Shaughnessy sibling dynamics: Owen’s struggle to accept his position within the family; and sister Darcy’s need to get out from under the protective bubble of five older brothers.

A SKY FULL OF STARS is a sweet, clean romantic story line that sees another Shaughnessy brother find his happily ever after. The premise is emotional and realistic-I truly felt for Owen’s predicament. The characters are passionate; the romance is intimate. A SKY FULL OF STARS is an encouraging and delightful look at family and love.

I have had the pleasure of reading the Shaughnessy Series. I love the family that Samantha has created for us. Yes they are all different in is many ways but as different as they are, they are always there for each other. I enjoyed the gentle growing romance between the characters, even though it was not without struggles.

Owen has been in and out in the series to date and we have seen how he is the most different but different in a good way. He is a scientific genius who is a superhero in his field but he tends to be a little socially awkward. Always there for his family and never second guesses his family duties. When a beautiful woman shows up in his classroom, he has to catch his breath. When she starts to show interest in he, he can't believe it but he is totally enjoying her company. Can Owen believe in himself to believe that Brooke will actual want to be with him?

Brooke is trying to sort herself out and has moved in with her uncle in Chicago. Finding her love of art is the way she wants to take her career, hoping that Owen will give her a chance to paint the Red Rock and be his assistant on this outing. Owen catches her attention the minute she steps in his classroom but he is very shy and quiet. This might make for some difficult times. Determined to get a chance she pushes Owen a little bit to get to know her and the more they get to know each other the more they like.

Can Brooke help Owen see that he is worthy of love? Will Brooke be able to move past the guilt of the past? Is there hope for love under the stars?

The perfect love story, chock full of emotion!!
I have fallen in love with each and every one of the Shaughnessey brothers, and Owen is certainly no exception! In fact, he is my very favorite!! I was halfway there before he even got his own book. Owen is just everything I knew he would be and even more that I had secretly hoped for. (wink, wink) I adore him!!! He is such a sweet, sensitive soul and a beautiful person. He is an introverted astrophysicist who is a little nerdy and has an innocence and vulnerability about him that it pulls at your heartstrings. Think Clark Kent. (smiles) Samantha Chase wrote such a wonderful story for him and Brooke! It is most definitely another on my re-read list!
My review is also on ibooks as KindleKat64.
