can't even put into words what this story was. Sawyer has blown me away. This was something so different than anything I have ever read from her prior. I could not put this down. I fought sleep to read this.

Kyle is someone with such a dark past. What he did haunts him and he is hoping to hide out without interruption. Jane is having none of that. She wants to know him and not just in that neighborly way small towns are famous for.

Jane is the "sweet" art teacher. She is a hometown girl, I mean she lives about 3 blocks from her parents. She is intrigued with her new neighbor in the lighthouse across the street for more than his amazing abs. She may have attempted to murder him with her muffins, but not everyone is blessed with the baking gene. She knows getting involved with Kyle will be bad for her heart, but she cannot deny her feelings as they spend more time together.

Sawyer is so creative with making the settings she does. I could picture the lighthouse, harbor, and that front step. I was so enraptured with Kyle and Jane. I was rooting from the beginning for his past to not catch up to him.

I loved Miranda as well. She was who I would strive to be if I was written into a story. She is sassy, spunky, and the best friend.

We finally get to hear from Kyle!
Honestly, I had forgotten about Kyle, when the doors closed on the Wicked Horse series with Bridger's story - I had just slid Kyle out of sight, out of mind and never gave him another thought. Im very glad SB wrote his story though, it was great to see what became of him.
Kyle's been tucked away in the MC for years, hardened and tattooed... yeah baby. Its ground into him. Even though he was one of the good guys, undercover, living that life for so many years does something to a man. Now hes out, and in hiding. Working as a lighthouse keeper in a tiny town in Maine - he just wants to be left alone. His neighbor Jane, has other plans for him. Lots of plans....
Finding Kyle was a bit different than what I am used to in a Sawyer Bennett book. It was still sexy, just less on the erotic side. The main character Kyle was a bit hard to love in the beginning, up until about the midway point. When he finally softened toward Jane and her somewhat pushy advances was when I really got interested in his character. Jane was sweet and quirky, if just on the pushy side with Kyle. I can see this being a true-to-life personality for some women though and felt it was written as such.
The story was well written in the signature SB style that I know and love and as always I look forward to whatever she has up her sleeve for us next.

Kyle is such a tortured soul - you just can't help but want him to find his HEA with Jane. Jane is almost too sweet to fall for Kyle's bad boy persona, but luckily she sees through it to the real and good man underneath.

Jane's quirkiness adds some much needed humor to Kyle's life and her talent for movie quotes is impressive! And the banter between the two - it's such a treat.

Of course - they have their ups and downs as Kyle has a pretty sordid past and has unresolved issues still to work out. Jane's strength is evident especially near the end and I'm glad to see that she wasn't a patsy and just took Kyle's terms as is.

Oh - and if you've read any of Sawyer's other series - there's a fun connection to discover. All in all - another great read by Ms. Bennett!!

This is a fairly quick, low angst, somewhat predictable read. At the end we find out that Kyle made appearances in the Wicked Horse series (which I read but don’t remember him although his tie to that main character makes me happy) and the Last Call series (which I haven’t read but want to, especially now).

This book is definitely an example of opposites attract. Jane’s light to Kyle’s dark; her light hearted, happy-go-lucky to his grumpy, heaviness. She is exactly what he never knew he needed. After doing his job for the ATF – which was gruesome at best – he really thinks he’s just going to go hide in oblivion for the rest of his life. Jane intrigues him in a way no one ever has and gets under his skin. Unfortunately, his life as she knows it has a shelf life which she refuses to accept. They have an undeniable chemistry that Kyle cannot deny. They are pretty cute together and fit well with each other.

The end of his obligations are a bit predictable but not in a bad way. The story ended pretty much as I expected but that wasn’t bad. I liked that it was pretty low angst and that it can be read as a standalone. I would expect Miranda, Jane’s best friend, to get a story but maybe she already has one and I just haven’t read it yet.

Definitely another great read from Ms. Bennett!

Bianca:
I really enjoyed this story!
I'm not a fan of MC books and extremely tattooed guys, but Kyle is out of that live and now he's this adorable lighthouse keeper who has to plant flowers and keep his lighthouse pretty, so that the tourists will come and bring their money to town! Too cute. The big, tattoed biker cop painting his picket fence and having to fight off the advances of his beautiful and way-too-cheery neighbor.
I loved it!

Jane is so adorable. She's such happy person. She's so very content with her life in that town. All her friends and family live there too.
And she just wants Kyle to have all that happiness too. But he's not making it easy.
But of course he can't resist her for long.
And we just hope that everything will work out perfectly with those 2, but of course we also know - or rather - are afraid - of those bad guys finding Kyle... we just know they will show up and ruin poor Kyle's new happiness! And we're also afraid that all his secrets will come out and Jane will run away as fast as she can! I just had to keep reading - I so wanted to see how their love story would end!

FINDING KYLE was such an adorable & funny & sexy romance! Run to your nearest amazon to find out if Kyle will find his forever-ever-after-happiness in small-town Maine! ☺ 4.5 stars

Janeane:
Another Sawyer Bennett story - woohoo!

If you have read her other series, you would have met Kyle briefly - I remember him from the Wicked Horse series.

I adored his troubled, rugged handyman ways, trying to hide but also wanting his old life back. I loved how he struggled to ignore the adorable Jane's advances.

What a ray of sunshine is Jane - so cheerful and bubbly, and it is completely understandable that she gets under his skin.

I couldn't help but need this pair to find their HEA.

I loved the small town vibe of the story, and for some reason it has made this country girl want to go find somewhere she can go stare at a sexy, tattooed lighthouse keeper for a day or forever.

This is a cute and sexy and sweet and adorable story, I hope we get more stories set here in the future.

An interesting tale of the sassy, quirky and quiet girl, not taking no for an answer and befriend her new neighbour who just so happens to be very hot dark and mysterious.

Kyle has a past that he knows will catch up with him and it's only a matter of time, he can only stay for awhile, but there is something about Jane that intrigues him and he can't avoid, but he can't have a long term relationship will she agree ?

Will their passion and love be enough to overcome his past when it does catch him or will the lies and deceit be too much and push Jane away.

Brilliant as always from Sawyer

Kyle is an undercover ATF agent who needs to hide away until he is called up to testify against some high crime bad guys. Since he knows his time is limited wherever he goes his plan is to keep a low profile and just stay under the radar until he leaves. His new neighbor Jane is having non of that. She's so intrigued by him that she's constantly finding ways to bump into him or rope him into hanging out with her. As reluctant as he is, she's just as persistent.

***
“I’ll hurt you,” I say ominously.
“Right this very moment?” she inquires sweetly.
“Eventually,” I mutter.
“I’ll take my chances, Kyle,” she whispers.
Those five words seal her fate.
***

The writing always had me hooked, the characters were well developed and the story itself kept me flipping page after page. Along with their romance, there's some secretiveness, a little action and mystery. Finding Kyle is an all around solid 4 Star read.

When Kyle Sommerville showed up in the Wicked Horse series, we saw a man so deep undercover, he didn’t know if he would ever find his way out. Then the take down, we didn’t know if Kyle survived, and that was the plan after all.

Kyle is now holed up in a small town in Maine, keeping the lighthouse. It is a menial job, after what he has been through, and just what he doesn’t want to be doing. Labor and solitude, the world thinking you are dead, keeping your head down and trying to move on until you are allowed to be alive again.

Jane is that quirky neighbor that cannot mind her own business, you know the one that is going to cause trouble. She has this thing; she wants to find out more about her new neighbor. Slowly, making her way into his life, she becomes a friend, then more.

Will the life he left in the past stay in the past, or will it blow up in his face and harm the woman he falls in love with. Kyle was a shadow that is out in the light now, and what a bright light he is. Ms. Bennett has done it again and I give her a SOLID 5 stars for this one! LOVED IT!!!

Kyle Sommerville just had his life flipped a complete 180. With his undercover mission over he's now in hiding, living in a small seaside town until it's time to tell his story at trial. All he has to do is lay low, keep to himself, and everything will be fine.

But Jane Cresson won't make that easy. She's got her sights set on her new neighbor and is determined to get him out of his shell. Friendship is all Kyle can offer (but he considers even that too much), but sometimes temptation is hard to resist.

I fell in love with Kyle so hard in this book. He's not your typical swoon worthy book boyfriend though. He's brooding, rough around the edges, and sometimes even kind of a jerk. But with the things he's been trough in the last few years, he doesn't think he deserves anything good in his life, least of all the beautiful ray of sunshine that seems to be enamored with him.

To be honest, I didn't think I was going to like Jane in the beginning, but that didn't last. I adored her by the end of the book. She's just the brightness Kyle needs in his life.

Another great story from this author... I'd highly recommend it.

Five stars!

Those looking for a romance that puts readers through a gamut of emotions will want to add this charming and sexy read to their bookshelf. From its likable characters to its fun and flirty banter to feelings of suspense permeating the story, readers will find themselves quickly captivated and sad to see this story end. From the first page to the last it's a hard book to put down.

Kyle always wanted to be a hero and took great pride in becoming an undercover agent to bring down a corrupt MC. The line between hero and villain became quickly blurred though as he got caught up in his role and took part in acts that haunt him still. In hiding and presumed dead, after bringing his MC down, he awaits the trial in which he'll give his testimony and finally get back to his life. Being in hiding is a frustrating time, tedious and lonely, as he tries not to make an impression on anyone that will bring danger to his door. With a sexy neighbor, who doesn't take no for an answer, within arm's length hiding out soon becomes more difficult though. With her sweet smile, kind heart, and innocent questions it's hard for him to remain aloof as he becomes more drawn to her. With his time in town running out, and with danger coming ever closer, his heart and soul won't be the only thing left broken in a burgeoning relationship that brought a smile to my face. Kyle's a dramatically different man after his years spent with Mayhem's Mission, he's harder and more jaded, unable to see goodness in others or himself. He's content to be alone, biding his time until he meets Jane with her boundless energy and unending goodness. She wears him down and becomes the lone bright spot in his tainted life. With obsession outweighing common sense he undertakes a relationship with her that reminded him of the man he used to be, and who he longs to be again, which left me aching for him. Ultimately, Kyle's a good man who sacrificed his very soul to do what was right and is now paying a heavy price before getting a reward he never expected.

Jane's the proverbial good girl. She never seems to stray from the path of goodness, content with the life she's made in her hometown. Her life is ordered and quiet, but it's all her's which gives her a feeling of pride. She's an unconventional heroine in some ways, quirky with her knowledge of film quotes, but with a backbone that won't let her back down from anything. She's always gone for the good guys before but soon finds herself drawn to the tatted-up bad boy next door. They start out as tentative friends but soon become more in a relationship fueled by desperation as Kyle's time in Misty Harbor winds down. Jane's immensely likable and loyal with a heart of gold and joy that radiates off her. She's a bit quirky and somewhat naive about sex but is just what Kyle needs to find his way back to the land of the living. Being with Kyle gives this kitten claws and I enjoyed seeing her stand up for herself when her ex seeks to bruise her ego. Throughout the story Jane's the perfect heroine, bringing joy to one and all, and deserves her richly rewarding HEA after rescuing a man who saved so many others..

From the first page to the last I found this a sexy and satisfying romance. With a main couple you can't help rooting for in a relationship that's sweet and scorching I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Theirs was an erotically-charged friends-to-lovers connection that nicely balanced steamy interludes with intimate talks and playfulness to keep me fully invested in their HEA. While their romance was fun to see flourish, I found the suspense a bit lacking. Once danger came knocking it was resolved before it barely began, despite how much build-up preceded it. Along with a memorable main couple came a colorful cast of secondary characters, denizens of a quaint small town who subtly pushed Kyle and Jane together. Jane's friend Miranda was more than subtle in pushing them together and I enjoyed her bold and brash nature that was in juxtaposition to Jane. The two of them together were an entertaining match that made me want to be their friend too. On a whole this was a fun and flirty story about redemption that wore its heart on its sleeve and kept us entertained every step of the way!

Every single second of this story was just so incredibly entertaining and I had so much fun reading it. I was smiling and laughing and loved getting to know both Kyle and Jane. Loved it!

I loved the prologue introducing everything and explaining just who Kyle. I had a oh my god THAT Kyle moment and was even more excited to read this. He was such a hard guy with a very difficult and brutal past and I loved watching him really grow and find redemption. That in itself made it an awesome story but it was so much more. Jane was the absolute bomb! I freaking loved this woman! So sweet, caring, persistent, and down right adorable. I loved her tenacity and how she never gave up. She and Kyle had so many great moments and I loved her pursuit of their friendship. There were so many fun scenes that had me liking them more and more.

I loved seeing Kyle's walls come down little by little as the story develops. I thought there was a great pace and loved all the details. The writing was so good. I loved everything about it from the interesting characters and their interactions, their amazing chemistry and connection, to all the awesome details. Kyle liking Jane but trying to fight it because of the circumstances he was dealing with. There was so much anticipation that came along with their building heat, I couldn’t wait for them to connect.

Honestly though, for as much as I loved Kyle and the growth he experienced, this is one of those times where I think the heroine might have out shined the hero. From Jane's quirky personality, her movie quotes, her sweet, caring and persistent nature, I just loved everything about her. She was the best and just so endearing. She had her own moments of growth as well, and I loved every single second.

If you want to read something entertaining (seriously, this was such a fun read!), sweet and sexy, with a nice amount of heat and some mild drama, this is it. Finding Kyle was jut a fantastic read that's all about love and redemption.

Sawyer Bennett has been a favorite go to author for me so when she has a new book out, of course I have to read it!. Finding Kyle is a sweet (in the non traditional way), funny, suspenseful romance that is perfect for an afternoon read. I liked the idea behind the story line. a hero with a dark past who finds a full of life, quirky woman who squeezes her way into his life before he even realizes whats happening. That part of the story was really fun to read. Because of that I found myself smiling and laughing throughout the story. While there were a few dramatic and suspenseful moments in the story, I wish there was more. I wanted more of the "hold your breathe, what's going to happen" moments. The author seemed to brush over a few of these moments and I wish she would have elaborated more. Overall, I enjoyed the storyline and the characters. While this is a standalone, the author does bring in or mention characters from other books. It makes for a great tie in. I can't wait for more books from the author!

Finding Kyle took my heart by storm! Seriously, I loved everything about this story and about Kyle. It seems like this book came out of no where but took up space everywhere. Never in a million years did I imagine that a character with such a small but significant part in Bridger’s book would get his own book. But God Bless Sawyer Bennett for giving him one and for creating this amazing story about second chances, redemption, and self-forgiveness.

Kyle Sommerville has gone into hiding, well witness protection, and he is in the tiny coastal town of Misty Harbor. Where you blink and you’ve passed it. He is dealing with not only isolation but with self-loathe for the things that he did while being undercover. He is in Misty Harbor for one thing, to bide his time until the high profile trial that will bring down many. He doesn’t interact with anyone and he is definitely not friendly to anyone. So when we meet Jane and she is totally ogling her HOT, tattooed neighbor, I just knew this was going to be so wickedly good. Her airy, fun personality was evident within the first few pages and throw in her equally fun bff and I just couldn’t wait for her and Kyle to meet. While she did make the first attempt to introduce herself, nothing came back on this end. With encouragement from her best friend, Jane decides to get to know her neighbor and despite his back-the-hell off vibe, she slowly starts to bring him out of “hiding” so to speak.

From the awkward moments, to the sweet, heartfelt moments, Finding Kyle turned out to be such a good read. I loved how Jane never gave up on him, and I loved how Kyle started finding his path towards redemption even though he fought it with tooth and nail. This book was sexy and hot yet angsty and sad. I enjoyed my time spent in Misty Harbor with Kyle and Jane more than I ever imagined. I cannot recommend this book enough and as with all of Sawyer Bennett’s book, I fell hard for our broken hero. Pick up your copy today and be prepared to immerse your self in a beautiful story.

ATF agent Kyle Sommerville is in hiding after being undercover to bust a huge crime ring. He's got to stay out of sight until the trial begins, and there's always the danger that someone will be sent to take him out so he can't testify. He's perfectly happy living a quiet, solitary life until his neighbor Jane decides to take things into her hands.

Not knowing Kyle's circumstances, Jane tries to get to know Kyle. She's quite devoted to her work of getting Kyle to relax a bit and for them to get to know each other. Kyle does a good job of trying to resist her, but after everything he's gone through, he isn't exactly immune to Jane's many charms. I really liked this part of the book, where Jane gradually breaks down Kyle's resistance.

Eventually Kyle and Jane connect, but it isn't long afterward that Kyle receives word he could be in danger and should relocate. While he knows what he has to do, he's not happy about hurting Jane. But when an intruder busts everything wide open, Jane isn't quite ready to let go of everything Kyle withheld from her.

There wasn't a huge amount of drama in Finding Kyle, so if you are looking for a sweet little love story with some quickly resolved drama, this story might appeal to you. I did like the relationship between Jane and Kyle very much in this book.

Finding Kyle is a quick read. There are some very satisfying steamy scenes between Kyle and Jane that spice up the story a bit. I should mention that Kyle Sommerville appears in Wicked Bond, if you are interested in reading more about his days in the ATF. I did like how these books were connected, although I will admit I had to go back and read some pages of Wicked Bond to get my bearings. No worries though, because this book works well as a standalone, too.

This is my honest review. An ARC was provided.

My 4.5 star review is now posted on Goodreads and linked below. It will be posted on blog and social media on release day 1/16/17 and links will be updated below.. UPDATED 1/16/17.

4.5 stars
Kyle Sommerville is just hiding out with a new identity to protect him from enemies he made while working undercover for the ATF. He refused true witness protection and is on his own in a remote location and considered "dead". He is lost and has done and seen things that have hardened him and make him think he does not deserve true happiness. He is a loner, stoic, gruff, and reclusive.

His new neighbor, Jane, is curious and relentless in her attempts to get to know the mysterious man. She is cheery, bright, funny, optimistic, and quirky. She pushes into his life and under his skin.

He's got up walls, but she keeps chipping away at them. He wants her, but knows it is a bad idea. He tries to friend zone her. But it gets harder and harder to refuse. His secrets are dangerous and he is not proud of his past. But she makes him want. And she sees he needs more than he thinks he does.

Their chemistry is explosive. But Kyle is clear that anything that could happen between them will have an expiration date and feelings cannot get involved. He knows he is on borrowed time and thinks he can be satisfied just soaking up all the good he can until his time is up.

But he never knows when or if his secret is going to come out and how she might react.

This is about Kyle needing to find his humanity, self worth, and confidence again. Jane sees the good in people and encourages him to find it in himself. But to move on from his past he will have to seek forgiveness from her and himself.

I have always been intrigued by Kyle since we met in previous Sawyer Bennett books Shaken, Not Stirred (Last Call #5) and Wicked Bond (Wicked Horse#5). His life took a dark and dangerous turn, but deep down he never wanted to be fully consumed by the darkness he was living in. But he was not sure if the damage could ever be reversed.

His one good deed from his recent past put him in the path towards redemption, but he needed an extra big dose of sunshine and light to even begin to lead him towards the man he wanted to be again.

This is funny, sweet, sexy, and even swoony. It was truly a story of a man in need of forgiveness, hope, and redemption, but afraid to grasp it. I really liked both characters and getting their dual points of view. Jane was such a breath of fresh air and unique. She just lit up the pages and had me smirking at her quirky and pushy behavior. And Kyle just had this natural charisma and vulnerability under that hard facade. I loved seeing their changing dynamics and Kyle beginning to show signs of life.

Her best friend, Miranda, added some support and girl power. But this story really centered on the couple in the isolated small town and the possible external threats in the situation Kyle was involved in. It just put their connection and passion more at the forefront of the story without a lot of extra background characters pulling the attention away.

And I have to say the man on the cover...he just IS Kyle Sommerville in all of his hot and broody glory! I am so glad that Sawyer decided to write his story.

I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Finding Kyle is a new standalone by one of my favorite authors, Sawyer Bennett. I have read all of her books and I love them all for different reasons. Finding Kyle is different than some of her other romances. It's not a flowery, lovey dovey story. We met Kyle in the Wicked Horse series and we saw enough of him to know he was into something big and that I had really strong feelings for him. If you haven't read that series, go now. Seriously. Go get it. Anyway, as I was saying…Kyle. He's a tough, tatted up unlikely hero. But deep down he's hurting over what he's done. He was deep undercover in the ATF and now he's hiding out awaiting trial. He wants to keep to himself and just pass the time until he leaves this small, picturesque town of Misty Harbor. The only trouble he's having is with his tenacious neighbor who won't leave him alone. She's hot, sexy and won't take a hint. He knows he should stay away from her since he's leaving and he might be in danger. The last thing he wants to do is put her in danger too. But she continues to show up with food, saying silly things and she gets under his skin. He's fighting his internal demons between the man he was forced to be while undercover and the man he truly is deep down inside. He doesn't believe he deserves to be happy and Jane is the sunniest, happiest thing in the world. Jane is so great! She cracked me up the entire book. Her relentless pursuit of Kyle was epic. I want to be her when I grow up. She's beautiful, funny, talented and sees something more in Kyle. She doesn't want to change him, she wants to know him. Will Kyle try to live in the moment and enjoy being with Jane? Will Jane stop herself from falling in love with Kyle? I loved this story. So much! I loved Kyle before and I'm so grateful to Sawyer for giving him his own story. It needed to be told. Honestly, I need more from Kyle and Jane!

I want to kiss her again, because it's Jane. She's not a woman who I ever want to face away from me.

It should be a sin to look that good, and it should be addressed in the Bible. Or maybe it is, because I'm pretty sure the way I'm coveting my neighbor has probably been written about a time or two.

"Thought I was hot, huh?"
"Oh shut up. You totally know you're hot."

Kyle is living and working in Maine, hiding out until he must testify at trial. He keeps to himself, trying to come to terms with the sordid life he led as an undercover agent for the ATF (if you’ve read Wicked Bond and Shaken, Not Stirred, Kyle may be familiar).
Jane is his neighbor, she is artistic, quirky, and persistent; not deterred by Kyle’s aloof and gruff personality. Gradually she gets under his skin until he finds himself spending time with her in and out of the bedroom. They have great chemistry and Kyle begins to remember how to laugh and enjoy life again until his past catches up with him, impacting Jane as well.
This book is vintage Sawyer, steamy, sexy, funny, intriguing and a compulsive read.

REVIEW: 4 GRUMPY STARS!
"The tug-of-war this man plays on my emotions from second to second is disorienting to say the least."

I don't know how else to explain Kyle....but grumpy!!! Ok, probably not grumpy, but surly for sure. He had a two foot thick wall between his heart and his head and he was stubborn AF!! I mean, I completely understand he dealt with pure hell when he was undercover messing with Mayhem's Mission and all the stuff he had to do to infiltrate them, but...wooh!! He was dealing with some stuff. He had nightmares and he was constantly looking over his shoulder. He lost his moral compass at one point and he had a very bad self-image because of the horrors he saw and crimes he committed. I cannot imagine the demons he wrestles with on a daily basis.

But, little does he know Jane is there and she's going to break into his heart and mind and make him smile more than he wants. And let me tell ya, I loved Jane!! Jane was a quirky and fun introverted extrovert. What? Yes, sounds funny, I know, but I don't know how else to explain her. She was very secure in who she was and put herself out there with quiet confidence, and I loved the way she made Kyle shake his head. I laughed quite a bit during this book because of her quirkiness and her determination. She had a certain innocent naïveté to her and I know that scared Kyle away....but she was undeterred and the fact that she kept on wiggling herself right on into his life was too funny!

I want to point out that the buildup of these two characters was pure.
She's so happy
He's so gruff
They meshed really well!!!

I honestly questioned Jane's reactions when all hell broke loose, but I had to make myself stop and think from her point of view. Was it hard? Yes. Very much so, but again....that wasn't my reaction, it was hers. I wish she was a little more understanding of him and the reason he was so secretive. Clearly it worked out in the end. Overall, the story was a great story and I loved the epilogue. It gave me the chills and a goofy grin.

Finding Kyle was classic Sawyer Bennett. A guaranteed good read with a story that will make you fall in love with the characters and allow you the quick escape you are accustomed to. Once again, I got caught up in the world of Sawyer's men and their walled off hearts. I love it!

The quirky heroine, Jane really made the story came alive. I'm not sure whether is she your cup of tea because she seems very forward and can't take a hint no matter how hard the hero, Kyle tried to rebuff her advances... or rather her friendship. She loves to sprout out movie quotes all the time and I find myself trying to guess some of the movie titles.

Jane is a very refreshing and special kind of heroine. As someone who actually woo her own husband, I can totally appreciate her guts in going after what attracts her. With such a hot neighbor, I don't blame her. She is such a spirited and care free character and she loves her small town community very much.

Kyle is ready to embark on a new chapter of his life, once everything is settle and done with. He only meant to spend a few month in Maine and the last thing he needs is to start something with his lovely neighbor, Jane and taint her beautiful soul with his ugliness. But there is only so much a man can resist and with Jane keep popping up in his daily life, Kyle finally succumb to temptation.

When I read the blurb, I was expecting this to be a romantic suspense because apparently Kyle is a criminal in hiding. But the story didn't delve much on the suspense because from the start the reader was told who Kyle was and why was he hiding himself. There is so much more to him than the surface and he is a man who was tainted with a corrupted life that he didn't expect to find happiness for himself. The story is mainly about how Kyle's sweet and naive neighbor, Jane tried to coax him out of his shell with her tenacity in engaging him no matter how much he tried to avoid her.

The fascinating part of the story besides witnessing Jane's quirkiness is watching Kyle's blossom from an isolated man filled with dark thoughts and nightmares into someone who can enjoy the simplicity of a life in a small town with a woman who accept him for who he is.
