This really wasn't for me. The stream of consciousness style isn't all bad and after a while there were parts that I could follow. But even when there was, it wasn't something I was keen to pursue reading. Perhaps it was because I recently read Requiem For A Dream, which was harrowing and at times challenging, but this didn't grab me in the same way.

DECLINING TO REVIEW. Although I admire the author's willingness to write a challenging experimental novel, unfortunately this was way too obtuse for me to even follow along, or even read with basic comprehension. (Opening paragraph, for example: "A six-month recovery from the effects of general anaesthetic proved challenging, but his back zip fierce magnet to the ghosts and Ouija. Plastic streamers laced bells at the top of wooden stairs with honey tea sweet spread through the mushroom dark like a pack of cards. Rosso weighed the deg on copper scales, his fanning face spider teeth clack.") Better marketed as experimental poetry, CCLaP will unfortunately be declining an opportunity to review it as a three-act narrative novel.
