After reading the first trilogy of the Colours of Love, Kathryn Taylor immediately followed it up with “Seduced,” the first book of what I hope to be the next trilogy for this engaging series!

As the blurb for the book says, “New location. New Love Story.” This time, Kathryn Taylor brings her readers to Rome and introduces her audience to the young art dealer Sophie Conroy and art professor Matteo Bertani.

No, there are no conflict of interest here; nor an inappropriate relationship between a professor and a student. It is about two people who have a mutual attraction to each other. It is very straight forward story telling. And quite frankly, that is the genius of this story.

Kathryn Taylor has a very light touch. The crescendos are not too high and the downturns are not so low. Yet, there is friction and suspense that make it very hard to put down the book once you start.

And though the stories are very different, with “Seduced” not even a derivative of “Pride and Prejudice,” reading “Seduced” made me feel like reading the Jane Austen novel with the modern twists of well-described sex scenes. In “Seduced,” “Sense & Sensibilities” meets “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

"Seduced" is Rated M for Mature due to sexual content.

Seduced is the third full length book in the Colours of Love Series and this is the beginning of Sophie and Matteo's story. If you haven't read the two books prior to this one, Unbound and Uncovered, they were about a different couple (Grace and Jonathan), while they do pop up you do not need to know their story in order to enjoy this one.

Kathryn Taylor takes us on a journey to Italy in this book. Sophie is in Rome when she "bumps" into Matteo, and lets just say that sparks fly. There is an instant attraction between the two but it takes a while for anything to happen, I was happy about this when I found out the reason behind it.

We are left with a cliffhanger and there are soooo many unanswered questions that I have and I really hope they are answered in the next book in the series, Surrendered.

Seduced is part of the Colours of Love series. An adult fiction and it has contain that are not suitable for young readers.

Sophie is in Rome where she "accidentally" met Matteo. She's 25-year old art dealer from London and run their family business which is an auction house. Matteo is an Art History professor, came from a rich well-known family and opposed that Signore Giacomo asked Sophie to appraise his art collection.

I love Sophie and Matteo's chemistry. They suits to each other. I like how they argue and give their opinions. Their banter are impressive because both are argumentative and they are humorous. Sophie and Matteo are very intense and their feelings explode together.

What leaves me to think until the end is Matteo's ulterior motive. I wonder what his motive towards Sophie because Signore Giacomo warn Sophie about it. Is it just me that I didn't get it? Because as I interpret it, Signore Giacomo is only concern with Sophie's feeling because Matteo is hurtful.

I hate Matteo for distancing his self to Sophie and for hurting her. Why would he start something that will make Sophie fall for him? I know his hurt and can't move on from the past but he shows that he very much interested to Sophie and there's some electrifying connection between them.

Problems or twists here are not too surprising. But what really surprise me and hurts me the most are the words coming from Matteo. It really stung. I can feel how hurt Sophie is. And I like her bravery and strong personality. Despite of what happened to them and even though she's hurt, she still consider Matteo at least her friend. Also that friendship thing, just WTH Matteo? I don't believe that he's helping Sophie out of their friendship.

It's written okay until I could feel how intense the words are that also hurt me. I like and enjoy books that could touch my heart.

The ending is cliff-hanging and I would love to read the next book soon. I would like to know what happen between Matteo and Sophie.

Love the continuing character detail of this author's books. She really grabs you into her stories and connects you to her main characters like they are a part of your real world. Don't want to give anything away but I can not wait to read the next book to see how Matteo gets to London because I am sure he will be ending up there!

Love this story!! Matteo and Sophie are so adorable, frustrating, stubborn, and hot together. They fight their relationship because both of them are afraid to discover something new. The words just flow off the pages. I couldn't put the book down. It does end on a cliffhanger. I can barely wait to see what is going to happen to these two.

This book is brilliant, hot and steamy!!! I could not put it down. Sophie is a fine arts dealer, she is visiting Rome to assess some art work. There, she meets handsome, enigmatic and mysterious Matteo who is an Italian art professor. The attraction between them is instant, like sparks of electricity. Together Sophie and Matteo reach new heights of pleasure as their desire for each other ignites. This book is beautifully written. I can't wait for the next instalment in Sophie and Matteo's story, in the Colours of Love series.

This book was translated from another language and I feel like it lost some of the appeal I had been expecting. It was a very slow moving story that too me several chapters to really feel like I could continue reading it. Maybe it was because I have gotten used to the shorter stories being written recently. Overall it was a good story but not one that I would say captured my undivided attention.

Matteo and Sophie are both deeply interested in the art world, not as an artist themselves but as people who appreciate it in many ways. She meets him in Italy at a party where she was invited to meet the owner of an art collection and hopefully gain the commission for sale of that. Matteo is the grandson of that person and he definitely doesn’t agree that the art should be sold. Sophie has really only known university life and the art seller side of the business because her mother suffers from depression and other ailments that require her to be constantly monitored. So she doesn’t want a relationship and has no real idea what it feels like to desire a man either.

He doesn’t like that he wants her and keeps her at arms length until he can’t anymore. They are explosive together but fate has given them both a challenge of a future together. Splitting up is destined to happen even though they might want to stay. No spoiler, just read it to see what they finally choose to do.

I received an ARC from the publisher for an honest and unbiased review. No compensation was expected or received in exchange for the review.

Final Score - 5 What's Gonna Happen Next Stars!!!

We meet Grace & Matteo in this book ... and we get a glimpse into Grace and Jonathan's life as a married couple.

Grace is in Italy to secure some art for her family's auction house. The owner wants to sell them to be closer to family as his wife has passed. Just before she's to make her introduction, Sophie embarrasses herself be nearly falling down a flight of stairs. However, she's rescued by Matteo. He's mysterious, tall, and enchanting upon first meeting. He suddenly turns cool and aloof upon discovering Sophie's intentions. Turns out Matteo is close to the art owner and doesn't wish him to leave Italy.

Thus begins a battle of wills, attraction and an affair is born. But how long will it last? Will Matteo resort back to the aloof and cool man Sophie first met? What secrets is he hiding? And why?

I have to say, I enjoyed this next installment in the Colours of Love series. I have my suspicions about where the next book is headed, but I'm gonna wait to see if they come true (*cough*infidelity/murder/suicide*cough*). I love Ms. Taylor's discriptive writing style and how she brings her characters to life. I also want to see Matteo redeem himself and Sophie to break out of her shell more. I can't wait to find out what happens to Sophie & Matteo next!

Having read the series of Colours of Love books last year, Unbound, Uncovered and Unleashed I was so delighted to see Seduced was being published and what a brilliant addition it makes.
Sophie Conroy certainly knows her way around fine art having been part of the U.K. family business all her life, but as far as love goes it has never really happened.  Well things were about to change for Sophie with a business trip to one of the most romantic cities in the world, Rome, even if she has only ever associated it with fine works of art before. Matteo Bertani is not only an art Professor but one of Rome's most influential, wealthy and sort after single men. So after literally falling into his arms  they soon become very passionate about a collection of paintings to be appraised for auction and who will handle the sale. There is a definite attraction between the pair of art lovers, which Sophie is on a losing battle to control especially when she has to persuade him to help her.
I really love Kathryn Taylor novels that not only have full blooded erotic scenes but also a story that is passionate and meaningful, tender and loving.  She has what I think is the perfect balance. It is a case of opposites attract in many respects, one the teacher and one the pupil each fuelling the others needs. The only thing is, is it a case of falling in love for only one of the pair? There is still so much to discover about each other. If you have read any of these novels before you are in for a treat. If not you are in for a feast.
I wish to thank Netgalley,  Basti Entertainment and be-ebooks for the ARC of this book which I have chosen to review
