Wow! What a fantastic book! It was beautiful, dark, and twisted. I didn't expect it jumping into it. You feel every emotion reading this book. I loved it!

I’m one of those readers who still enjoys a good love-triangle so the promise of a love-square in the Kiss The Boys synopsis definitely had me intrigued!

This was a pretty intense read, the first chapter raised many questions about three of the characters and their lives. River’s story wasn’t easy to read but it certainly made me feel protective of her, she was a vulnerable character who found herself in some deeply unpleasant situations. Nate also appeared to have some deep-rooted issues, he repeatedly mentioned an abduction so that was something I was looking for answers about.

I think perhaps the situation with River happened a little quickly, I’m all for a fast pace but it felt a bit too unbelievable that a whole family would fall in love with a complete stranger on sight. There were also elements of the storyline that I felt should carry a trigger warning as they were quite distressing to read.

The Hunt family dynamics were really interesting and one of my favourite parts of the storyline. The brothers seemed close, yet far apart if that makes any sense at all and it was fun trying to predict each of their reactions!

Favourite Moments

* Unexpected Christmas gifts
* Protective Bear
* A mourning dog

A sexually charged yet deep read that intrigued me from the start.

My first book by this writing duo. Myers and Downey have intrigued me enough that I will be looking for another book very soon.
This is book two in the Lost Girls Collection, and now I need to go back and read book one in the series. Kiss the Boys is a steamy psychological thriller and where I'm not usually one to read the mental thrillers this one keep me turning pages. Keep it up; I will be watching for more.

I feel like I read a different book than everyone else did.

I struggled with this book; while the plot was interesting I didn't feel truly connected to the main characters. I had a soft spot for Jake just given what he went through/was going through but that's as far as the connection went.

River....At times I felt her maturity level didn't meet her age in the book. And I get that the author did that because of everything she went through but honestly I think this would have been better if both characters were older. I struggled with someone who just turned 18 doing the things she did and behaving the way she did.

Nate...his success was completely blown out of proportion. I mean a 21 year old having sculptures at the Louvre? Having been there and seen first hand the beautiful art on display, I have a hard time believing he was this successful. The whole abduction thing bothered me. For something so major to have happened, they spent small amount of time on it. Everyone in the book was so convinced something happened that when the truth comes out about what actually happened it seems more of a let down than anything. And really...River had an issue with that?!?!?

I think this story could have been so much better than it was.

Kiss the boys

I don't really like giving bad reviews but honestly this book is just a mess.. It centers around River a damaged runaway foster kid. And the Hunt family Nate Noah and Jake three brothers with a boat load of problems. Nate is the dark broody sexual one, Noah is the perfect jock and Jake is a war veteran who was inquired in the war.
There is to many issues going on in this book for my liking.. Its not a love triangle its basically about Nate and River but there's to many other storylines thrown in. It's just a mess. And then 60% you throw literally everything into chaos?... No! Sorry.. This just didn't work for me.. Half a star..

Received an ARC from NetGalley for on an honest review....

The blurb and cover of this book had me really interested, I love a good book with a love triangle and its even better when the triangle involves brothers, however this book kind of feel flat for me. There was no real story development and the love triangle that I was expecting never happened, it was clear from the start of the book which brother River (the main female character in the book) was going to choose to be with.

The best part of this book was the way that River deals with Jake and Noah and how she brings them back to life and to start living again.

"There's nothing human to hurt us, only my memories."

I can't say I love this book, but it isn't a bad book too. I enjoyed it rather well and with just enough curiosity to turn the page.

Nate is just screaming for sex. He has this strong appeal that simply draw women to him and get down on their knees. Just by the description of his physicality, the reader would be drawn to him.

A family with 3 sons who barely get along, the life of rich people in art museums, a basketball star in high school about to go pro, an ex soldier who lost a leg, a bestfriend, and a girlfriend, an orphan.

If you're looking for steamy bed scenes, and things that keep you warm at night then I'm sorry to disappoint because this book isn't it. The characters try to find the light in their dark universe and it's inspiring to see them work hard to reach the surface. Sometimes I feel for them, their pain, their hopelessness, but we know that there's always that one person who refuses to sink with the ship.

The writing looks like it's been written by an amateur, so are some parts of the story. Other times it just seems too exaggerated and unrealistic. If it wasn't for the different world that Nate and River live in I would have stopped reading. But it's because of Nate being a famous artist, him, River, and Jake being survivors, it gives me a glimpse of how people with their same experiences or challenges live. It's new information for me and I'm always on the hunt for new information.

This was a DNF from me. I felt that the story was very choppy and had no flow at all.
I don't like to give up on a story and I tried to stay with it, but in the end, about half way through, I had to stop the misery.

This is a dark and dramatic romance that is very entertaining. Three brothers, one River. One brother she fights for, one she longs for, and one she yearns for. Ultimately River will only give her heart to the one she can't walk away from.

With its slow pace in the beginning I found myself a bit bored, but of course that didn't take long before things got really juicy. I mean, kissing boys, how can it not be? ;)

Couldn't put this book down. It was gritty, traffic and beautiful. The the brothers each had their own personalities and River meshed well with them. I most certainly recommend this book to all readers who love dark and thrilling reads with a mix of steamy romance.

When I first started reading this, I thought I am not sure I am going to like this - no reason why it just took me a couple of chapters to get immersed. But then I was fully immersed and couldn't put it down! The three brothers were so different but each had their own qualities which made the reader love them. Nate was my favourite though - he was dark and life hadn't played him a good hand and he did come across at times as a bit of an a**hole but you couldn't help routing for him. River was a great character - her inner turmoil justified after what she had been through and her synergy with Nate was easily understood. She was destined to be with him - she liked the idea of Noah - all round good, gentle guy - the guy you should choose but as we all know, everyone loves a tortured bad guy! The relationships in the book were intricate and believable. There were moments of elation, comedy and complete and utter sadness. I loved the epilogue but still wanted more - a sign of a good book in my opinion.

I always love a gritty story with lots of sadness. I think it’s because I always find the healing so lovely. I read the synopsis and it sounded great…but I was worried this was a love triangle…or in this case a love square. While I won’t deny or admit anything (spoiler – phobia), I want you to know it all worked out as it needed to work out and I never had a coronary. 😉

Nate, Noah and Jake are 3 brothers with 3 very different personalities and histories. Some of the histories are really dark and will break your heart. It explains why they are so troubled. But it’s not just the boys that carry baggage, it’s River as well. River, the runaway girl who has been so terribly burdened with so much, yet still has so much strength and resilience in her. (FYI, I struggled with the name River. I kept thinking she was one of the guys). She is the key to the boys’ missing pieces and it was a glorious puzzle and River was the missing last piece.

The hero and heroine had a connection immediately and I could not get enough of their raw attraction and draw to each other. It was on such a primal and carnal level. But then it went deeper than that; I felt the love that developed, which only intensified everything. The sexy times were not necessarily my cup of tea, but I think it was perfect for them and couldn’t have been done any differently.

So up until the last 25% this book was outstanding, but then it suddenly seemed a little hodge-podge and there were a good few things thrown in that could have been left out altogether. Those things made the story unrealistic for me. Without giving away the storylines it was Diego (who could have not been mentioned ever, he had no added value) or the direction it went with the parents. There was too much coincidence.

However, even with all the extra stuff at the end, I really like how it ended. The hero and heroine got their HEA, as did everyone else. It made my heart warm even if some of it was a little over simplified.

This never felt like a thriller to me. It was more of a story of wounded souls finding that connection to become whole. Accepting that life had thrown them ugly moments but it was still worth living.

Rec this? If you love healing stories this a great addition for your TBR. Ms. Myers definitely has a gift with her words created this magical romance that touched my heart. Be warned though, the back-stories almost every character has could probably trigger something. It was quite graphic and could be upsetting.

This book earned the solid three star rating. While the story was faster paced than I would have liked, the drama and the most of the plot points where amazing! The remaining plot points just seemed a little out of place. I get the dark and damaged man with his dark and damages woman but even some of the damages seemed to go a bit far for me. That being said, it was ingesting enough for me to keep reading to see what happened next.
