What's not to like about this book? I can't think of one thing.

We have a very feisty female lead, Addison. She is intelligent with a great sense of humor, feisty and knows how to have fun.

Roman also had a great sense of humor, along with being a bit more than I anticipated. The author gave us insight into this characters past, which of course helped me to understand some of his choices in life. He also is smart and alpha male which just made him even more interesting to me.

The chemistry between these two could melt pages in books and panties to be truthful.
I loved the kink in this book and the heat between our characters are sure to win some new readers over.

This writer knows what we like and made sure she dished it out for all to enjoy.
Would I recommend this book? YES!
This is for dedicated readers of Gina Maxwell along with a great introduction into what new reader might enjoy.

I loved everything about this book!! I could not stop reading it as soon as I started it. Addison and Roman were amazing as a couple. Their interactions were everything that I would want in a book. There was hot, sexy, steamy, drama, and emotion. This is not the first book I have read by this author and it will by no means be the last.

Lawyer and stripper. Anyone? Anyone?
Holy Heavens above, Gina L. Maxwell... what have you done? Whatever it is, I like it.. a lot. A. LOT.
To say that I have been waiting to get my hands on Ruthless is quite possibly the understatement of all understatements. After Shameless (book 1) I knew that, for me, GLM had written a version of lady porn Pokemon and I must have them all. ALL.
Roman 'Ruthless' Reeves, yall. Where to start? Well.. hes a lawyer by day, stripper by night. Sound tacky? Work with me here. He's kinky to the bone. (teehee) He meets Addison and they hook up and its great but not a problem until she gets hired at his company and he turns into her boss. UHOH.
The sparks FLY in this book - its completely off the charts hot but more that that, its a really well written, fully developed story. The MCs and even the secondary characters were fairly three dimensional and I thought the dialogue between the two MCs was great.
GLM has proven to me that she can slay in the romance/erotica genre and I will never hesitate to recommend her or her books to someone looking for a great read in these categories.

5 KINKY CROWNS

Be prepared to enter the world of delicious alpha men with their own kink when you open the cover of the Playboys in Love series. This erotic world that Gina L. Maxwell is perfect blend of licentious deeds and romance, creating a story that will pull at your heartstrings and keep things hot in the sheets.

From the very first chapter, I was drawn into this story, ad mainly because of the voice of the female lead. Her dominance, her intelligence, her assertiveness and her ownership of her sexual prowess will have readers in complete awe of her. Even with all these female alpha-type behavior, Addie still allows her vulnerable and softer side show through, only making her that much more endearing. She is never more vulnerable though when she is with Roman. He seems to be able to flay her open and serve her up, but she allows it because she trusts him.

Roman as a hero is gahh!! Unreal. Completely dominate, utterly attractive, smart, and loyal to boot. His kink though leaves him wandering around looking for more, and he never thought he would find it in Addie. What will make readers absolutely become enamored with Roman is his care of Allie. Once she agrees to participate in his fantasies, he takes unbelievable care of her, taking things slowly and constantly assessing her comfort. My favorite moments with Roman though are when he lets his guard down, when he is just with Allie as a “couple” without getting down and dirty. These little glimpses not only serve to make Roman than a man with darker pleasures, but a hero readers can fall in love with.

This story is so delectable! The heat picks up from the very beginning, and it doesn’t let up ever! Even when Allie and Roman are hooking up, the sexual tension is enough to set readers blood on fire. Each look, innuendo, comment is laced with desire, and readers feel every hit, but this story is more than just sex. It is about Allie opening up her physical limits, while Roman is pushed to open up emotionally. Of course with both of the characters open and raw, there is bound to be issues, and when these issues come to a head, Roman should just grab readers’ hearts and crush it in his palm. It was painful to see him self-destruct and take the people he loves with him. His redemption, though, his desire to fix what he has done is just as filled with emotion and love. He took the pieces of my crumbled heart and pieced it back together with every sweet word that came from his mouth.

Gina L. Maxwell has effectively sucked me into the P4H club. Gah!! I freaking love every single one of these men and the woman they meet, and the writing is fantastic. This erotic world has effectively seduced me, and I don’t ever want to leave.

I loved this one! It's really hot so make sure to have an ice cold drink handy. Trust me you'll need it. Roman is delicious and he a few surprises. The chemistry between him and Addison is off the charts. Roman doesn't touch friends or friends of friends, but when the attraction is as explosive as it is between him and Addison he can't help, but touch. Things get a little complicated when business comes into play. Can Roman break the rules when it comes to Addison or will he let the best thing ever happen to him slip away?

Hot! This is a fast paced steamy read with great characters and steamy sex. Gina did a great job of weaving this hot read in to a steamy love story. I loved it!

This review is my honest and personal opinion and I know authors can't please everyone and that was the case here. I'm actually sad that this one didn't work for me. Ruthless had a lot of things that I loved and I know others, more adventurous and with less triggers then me, will absolutely love this series. All I can say is it didn't work for me. I can say I honestly gave it a shot and now I know that it's not something I would actively seek out.

Maybe my brain is just wired differently, but I could not get into their kink. No matter how hot these two were together, it was overshadowed by the fact that our H was just biding his time with the h until he would tire of her alone and have to bring someone else in. What really bugged me was the fact that the sharing was 100% Roman. I think for this to work both Roman and Addie had to be 100% into it. Not one sided, and not coersed into it. And the execution (especially with Roman's feeling of jealousy) just didn't convey that. Which for me, made it seem not true and kind of a form of cheating.

I still love Gona L. Maxwell and more power to her for venturing outside the box. I'm sure there are countless fearless readers she is winning over with her more dangering work.

I'll stick to her M/F stuff though :)

People call me Ruthless for a reason.

Whether I’m in the court room or in the bedroom, my reputation is well-earned. I’m either working hard, working out, or working my way into some woman's panties. But none of them share my particular kink, and I walk away feeling unsatisfied.

Until I met her.

She’s a friend of a friend, which makes her off-limits in my book. But then temptation had me by the balls and I had her up against a wall. She literally fucked my world off its axis, but it can’t happen again.

My plan was avoidance, but that got blown to shit when my firm hired her as a new junior attorney. Now I’m her boss, and I’m supposed to act like I don’t want to bend her over my desk every five minutes.

But I’ve never held myself back with anything before, so consequences be damned, it’s time to show her how damn good it feels...to be ruthless.

Holy Office Romance Hotness!

I have wanted to read this Author for a long while and was always too caught up in other scheduled reads to get the chance to read her work. Big mistake...

First I was intrigued by the blurb and really who are we kidding the cover is hot. Once I started reading I was drawn in by the writing and the characters. I don't think I have read a story where the guys are the strippers, girls yes, but guys no. A million years ago I went to a few male reviews and I have to tell you the scene she writes with the guys stripping was 100 times hotter than the actual thing. Besides the hotness, there is a lot of emotion to this story and that is what really kept me going and getting attached to the characters. Addie is really the best, loved her confident, rockin' self. Roman was all alpha, bad a** with a touch of vulnerability. Their dialogue is awesome with a lot of great snarky-ness to it. Now, this is book two in the series and of course I am reading out of order again, but this can be a stand alone title and you would never be confused. That being said I really want to go back and read book number one in the series.

Awesome book, well worth the read!

3.5 Stars

While there’s nothing specific that bothers me about this book, it’s not my favorite by Gina. It is definitely erotica with LOTS of sex. I normally don’t have problems with a ménage but I didn’t really like their ménage scenes. They didn’t work for me. Most of this book was pretty predictable.

I like Addison. I like how strong she is and how she stands up for herself. I like that she wants to prove how tough she is as an attorney. I really like her confidence. I like that she doesn’t take crap from Roman, and is completely willing to tell him to walk away when he treats her like crap.
Roman is okay to me. I don’t mind his confident arrogance but when an issue arises between the two, he turns out to be a bit of a coward. I didn’t care for his lack of communication with Addison.

Roman’s interaction with his father was a bit confusing to me. He claims they are close but I couldn’t tell that by the couple of scenes in which they interacted with each other.

This is a quick read and can be read as a stand-alone although the couple in the first book (which I didn’t read), are in this book a bit. There are a couple more characters that I’m guessing we’ll see in future books but I’m not sure I’ll visit them, as I’m not a huge fan of erotica.

Ruthless is the second book in Gina Maxwell’s Playboys in Love series, but you do need to read the first book in order to dive into this one. The premise for the series is that three college friends own a stripper-for-hire company and all three men moonlight as strippers. They started the business in college but all now have successful day jobs, and they are all three also into kinky sex - each has his own favorite fetish.

Roman is the lawyer of the bunch and his stripper name is Ruthless. He meets Addison (Addie) through a mutual friend, and they have a crazy hot night of sex (in a bar) that gets complicated - on many levels - because Addison now works for Roman. Even though mixing work with sex isn’t the smartest, they can’t resist each other.

They find they like each other and the casual sex becomes a relationship. Luckily, both are professionals and seem to be able handle working together, but Roman is into menage and feels like he wants/needs it to be satisfied. Addie has never experimented, but she wants to with him and they do.

They have sex A LOT, but Ruthless also has a heartfelt and interesting story that sensitively explores some of the emotional aspects of multiple partners. Roman and Addison are both great characters who both challenge and compliment each other. They have amazing chemistry and there is a witty push/pull between them.

While Roman’s kink isn’t my cup of tea, Ms. Maxwell writes sensual love scenes with emotion. Ruthless is hotter than the first book - Shameless - so you’ll definitely want to read this one at home.

Holy hotness overload, Batman! In the mood for an office/boss/employee romance? Check out this book. In the mood for some kinky loving? Check out this book. Or perhaps you want crazy hot chemistry and fabulous banter? Yes, Ruthless has that too. It’s safe to say I freaking loved this book.

Roman is an attorney by day, but when he needs to blow off some steam his Ruthless stripper persona comes out to play. And he particularly enjoys playing in threesomes but every woman is just a play thing as he doesn’t believe in HEA’s for guys like himself.

Addison is a young attorney and one tough bitch. With practically no filter and an I’ll-get-anything-I-want attitude towards everything in life, she takes one look at sexy Roman and decides to go for it. She was even more determined when her best friend told her he simply wouldn’t go there with her because they are now in the same friend circle. Did you see that “Challenge accepted” meme? Well, that pretty much describes Addison and Roman alike.

Roman still can’t believe he lost control like that with Addison. Good thing they don’t have to cross paths every day as he’s still thinking about her weeks later. His luck won’t last too long, though, when the new addition to his firm is no other than Addison.

I enjoyed immensely both main characters, they had strong personalities, no tolerance for bullshit and they went for what they wanted. Addison was bold, brass at times, but still always true to herself. Her confidence in every setting was quite inspiring, but at the same time, she could be tender and vulnerable.

Roman was hotter than hell, with all his cockiness (figuratively and literally) extra bossyness and when his possessiveness came out play… yum. At the same time the whole Ruthless/Roman differentiation, I think was on this side of too much–bordering on multiple personality disorder. I’m not saying this didn’t work for me, but maybe if it had been a wee bit less pronounced it wouldn’t have bugged me at all. Besides this, Roman’s total inability to reflect on his own feelings drove me close to physical violence against my poor unsuspecting kindle. (Let it be noted, no Kindles were harmed in the reading of this book).

I have to give it to Ms. Maxwell though, I’m not fond of recreational ménage in my romance but in this instance, it was excellently done. It actually didn’t bother me at all and I really liked how she handled Roman’s gradual change of heart about the subject.

Extremely hot, Ruthless was a sexy romance with a lot of kink, amazing chemistry and really good characters all around. Once I started it I couldn’t put it down and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next in this series.

This book was well-written but it had me skimming over it. I'm a book-reviewer which means I have to read books and review them based on what I think of the authors talents at writing and the storyline. This book was an exceptional book. So why the 4 stars? Well, because as a person of moral fiber and one who's not really into the whole Fifty Shades of Grey style writing (yes, I know there are still some out there who haven't seen the movie nor want too) I just didn't like all the taboo sex, language and crudeness. I know that as a reviewer I have to be somewhat removed when reading a book and see the whole picture, however I also feel like an author could tap into so many more outlets of people if they had 2 separate versions of a book. Kind of how they put out different languages...except they would take some profanity out and sex and market it to people who are a little more subtle in their views. Now, for those who like ALL of that - this is the book for you. It had a good plot, a lot of angst with a guy who thought he couldn't love and a misunderstanding that I thought had been used before. This didn't detract from what readers will undoubtedly like about the book...being that it had a strong heroine who referred to herself as a "honey badger" and a hero who called her his "wildcat." The pace didn't slow down until about 76 percent which is where the misunderstanding takes place and switches to 3 months in the future and then it picks up again with another misunderstanding. I'm not a fan of "misunderstandings" in general, I think in real life - we just yell, throw things and moan until it's out in the open. At least in my house we do! I would tell my boss to read it because she's a fiend of erotic romance and is always in search of good authors. I genuinely believe that Gina Maxwell is an awesome writer and can tap into some funny, humorous writing and so I will continue to read her. I may skip over some stuff but I will continue to read her books because no one writes a hero like her. I loved Roman's best friend in this, Austin and know that the topic of his book is going to be a tough one to tackle. I'm not exactly sure how she'll do it but I'm sure she'll do it with some humor in it!!

I was given a copy of this ARC from the publisher on Netgalley for a honest review. All of the above comments are my express opinions and no one else's.

Advanced Readers Copy Courtesy of Netgalley....:)

Lets start by saying if you want to read probably one of the naughtiest, hottest books that will instantly dissolve your underwear....this is it.

I love the first book in the series Shameless, and if you would have asked me if I would have loved Roman more than Chance, I would have said no....but whoo eee.....yum!!!

We first meet the couples of this story in book 1. Roman is friends with Chance and Addison is friends with Jane. Therefore even though Roman is attracted to Addison he does not want to spoil the group dynamics and therefore makes her off limits.....until she ends up working for him....

Oh and did I forget to mention that Roman is a lawyer by day and a stripper by night!!!

This was a great quick and dirty little read, with a strong, feisty and sassy heroine and a extremely hot alpha..... and I loved every single minute of it.... :)

Adore isn’t even a strong enough word to describe how much I love Ruthless. Gina L. Maxwell always out does herself with each new book she releases. Ruthless is the second novel in the Playboys In Love series with the hero being a lawyer and a stripper. He is two opposite sides of the same coin and he wears both hats well. Roman is a take no prisoner lawyer that wears a suit like no other but then he’s Ruthless all his bad boy, tattoos, and piercings are on displayed. Mrs. Maxwell has such a way with her characters that everything about Roman/Ruthless makes a girl melt. Roman meets his match in Addie because she makes him break his hard-fast rule, which is no messing with someone in his circle of friends. Addie is a friend of a friend and that makes her a no go but she is having none of that. Addie wants Roman so when she sets her sights on him she will stop at nothing to get one steamy moment with him. Their one and done moment goes up in smokes when they realize that Addie is the new junior attorney at Roman’s firm. The hardest thing to do is fight the extreme chemistry these two feel. I loved this novel because it was beyond awesome. OMG Roman/Ruthless is beyond panty dropping sexy, while Addie is all around a bad ass chick willing to go toe to toe with him. I can’t wait to read more from this series and it’s definitely a series I’ll be happy to reread. 5 Stars for sure but warning it is a very naughty read and not for everyone! It is definitely not a chocolate, soft music, and rose pedals on the bed type of story.

These are my Happily Ever After Novel Thoughts...

When I die, I want to be reincarnated as a book character like Addison Paige! She's tough, beautiful, smart, sassy, driven, and successful, basically a force to be reckoned with. And I want to meet a guy like Ruthless. Together they are unstoppable.

This book is steamy, spicy, and all over HOT!

Why don't my I know or my friends date some super hot strippers? Oh the free shows! Who wouldn't want that?

Roman Reeves is Ruthless and he's waiting on you! Don't keep him waiting too long. Grab your copy and enjoy the ride to your Happily Ever After.

Addison Paige is a very determined woman, when she wants something she gets it, no if's, and's or but's about it... and she wants Roman Reese. But Roman has this pesky rule about not getting involved with someone in his inner circle of friends, which makes sense to a point, but when you have the intense chemistry that they do, then it seems silly to waste it... and Addison isn't about to waste a single drop of it. So, she plays a little game to lure him into her sexy little plan, fully expecting to win and get her way, but then her little plan takes a turn she never saw coming... one that turns her work life upside down!!

Roman Reese is a ruthless lawyer by day, and a ruthless sexy stripper by night, it's his way only, no matter the cost! But he is also a man with morals, so he decided early on that getting involved with friends was a big no no and a line he'd never cross... but when he made that rule he never anticipated a woman quite like Addison Paige to waltz into his world. The moment they met he could feel the sexual tension brewing between them, but his pesky rule kept him from acting on it, so he decided avoidance was the best policy... but Addison had a plan of her own, one that would land him in her bed and she wasn't about to let him say no! So he reluctantly gives in, and soon finds that he may have just made the biggest mistake of his life... a mistake that could have been prevented if he had just stuck to the damn rules!

After reading Shameless I thought I knew what to expect, but Ms. Maxwell totally took me by surprise with this one, talk about HOT!!!! Roman and Addison had an undeniable chemistry that neither of them could ignore, and the moment they gave into their desires everything got a little hotter, myself included, and page after page the heat continued to rise, and my fingertips and Kindle were DEFINITELY feeling the flames!! I have to say this is by far one of the hottest little reads that I have had the pleasure of devouring in a long while, and enjoyed every sinfully delicious little drop!!

If you like your stories on the hot side and with a determined heroine at the helm, whose not afraid to call the shots, then I highly recommend you take a chance on this story, Addison and Roman will set your world on fire!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.

For this bad boy, breaking the rules is a way of life. Roman thrives on pushing the envelope in his career, his personal life and behind closed doors. He meets his match in maneater Addison. She knows what she wants and goes for it, no matter the risk. So when she sets her sights on Mr, Ruthless, himself, not only do things get interesting but a torrential downpour couldn't cool off the inferno that blasts through their lives. Ruthless takes raunchy to a whole new level with it's sexcapades while delivering a story that is as demanding as it's main characters.

Ruthless is a perfect example of erotic romance. It has everything you need for a steamy bit of escapism - the kinky alpha male, the strong woman with a penchant for kink that she was unaware of, the unexpected fall into the depths of love... it's all there, with bells and whistles. I hadn't read the first in the series when I picked this out from Netgalley, but it didn't matter in the slighteset - it works find as a standalone, though I can guarantee you'll be heading straight to Amazon to find the first book once you've read it, because you're going to want more of these sexy men.
