What a lovely surprise! What a lovely story! I am so happy i read it! I loved everything about this book, the story line, the settings, the characters... I can't wait to read another book by Tracey Corbett! I don't know why I kept this book for such a long time in my TBR pile because it totally deserved to be read!!! I warmly recommend it to you!!!

It took me ages to get around to reading this. I thought it would be a standard women’s fiction novel and I kept putting it off but I am glad I finally read it. I enjoyed it very much and it had some deeper moments than I initially expected. I will read more by this author.

A lovely story, with a bit more depth to it than the usual romances, and well written. Apart from the flower shop and its charming manager (and wannabe owner) Evie, there are several other relationships intertwined in this book, and the reader becomes involved in all of them. Her love interest, Scott the plumber, has a bit more to him than the usual romantic lead, as he is caring for his disabled mother at the same time as bringing up his nephew. I enjoyed this delightful feel-good read, and would definitely read more from this author.

I really enjoyed this book, it didn't take me long to read it. I enjoyed reading about the flower shop and Evie. I laughed out loud at some moments when she got Marlon her dog and had tears in my eyes when Scott's mum passed away. I enjoyed the chapters about different characters intertwining in the book. I guessed when Scott's mum left him some money that he would try to buy the flower shop but I was pleased to read Evie and Scott get together eventually. I would definitely look out for her next book. Thank you for letting me read and review this book, I would definitely recommend it.

This book was absolutely outstanding! The characters could be related to easily and in general, it was just a lovely book to sit down and read - I was completely unable to put it down. All the way through I was cheering for the main characters and hoping that they would eventually see sense. The plot unravelled beautifully and seamlessly. This is a book that I would definitely recommend to other people.

I loved this well written romance. This book is the story of two individuals with not time for love, but love waits for no man. Good plot and characters.

Evie runs a lovely flower shop in Heatherton, which she is working towards buying, and so is very busy trying to build up the business with the help of her trainee Saffy (great character with attitude). Having come out of a bad relationship she is right off men.........that is until she meets Scott

Scott is a plumber so very busy with work and then having to go home and look after his sick mother and 18 year old nephew Ben. He has also been hurt in the past and so is off women......until he meets Evie

A lovely book with a host of characters easily introduced by the running of the shop and with lots of little back stories so we get to know them all. Definitely one that I would recommend for the summer

A flower shop is the perfect setting for a love story to unfold. I got lost in the beautiful armour of a love story between our main characters. I story I differently won't forget-me-not.

This was a lovely, quaint read that I absolutely adored. The Forget-Me-Not Flower Shop surrounds the lives of Evie, the manager of the flower shop, her friend Laura, Scott the plumber and his family.

At first I got a little confused because there was a lot of characters introduced and it took a little while for me to figure out who was friends with who and who was married to who. Once I got this all figured out it was easy to follow and I loved how all the characters became entwined with each other.

I absolutely loved the character of Evie and her assistant Saffy, they were fabulous together and I really felt they were good friends. All the characters had their own back story that was explored well, I didn't feel like one character got felt behind. Despite it being a relatively short book, Tracy packed in a lot of information but without it becoming overwhelming.

Scott was a lovely man and I couldn't resist falling for him as well. He's caring for his disabled mother as well as being main guardian for his nephew, all while trying to keep working and bring money to the house. He was charming and sweet despite wanting to play the tough guy!

The setting of the flower shop was brilliant, I haven't read many books set in flower shops and I thought it was a fab location. It brought characters together who wanted flowers - not all were sent for love! Also it was interesting to read something new.

The change of voice and perspective was great, you could really notice the shift in voice and it worked brilliantly well. I can't end this review without a mention of Evie's fabulous shoes and her lovely dog Marlon. These two really made the book for me, it added a nice twist to her character and allowed to show more of her personality.

It's only when I reached the end of the book that I realised this is Tracy's debut, wow! I wouldn't have guessed it while reading, I was hoping there would be more books by her I could read!

My Thoughts :
There is a lot going on in the book and there are a few charactors to keep track of. I found myself sometimes losing who I was reading about and had to skip back a few pages to update myself. That said it was a great story and I enjoyed the developing relationships, both family and romance. Evie runs the flower shop and takes a liking to plumber Scott, although she is trying her best not to. I loved the decriptions of the flowers, from the shop it felt like such a beautiful setting that we could get lost in. Marlon the dog, who Evie adopts is a breath of fresh air.
Overall this was a pleasent read and hard not to connect with the charactors. Looking forward to more from Tracy Corbett.

Another unbelievable delightful romance, Scot is a devoted and loving son who sacrificed much for his mother after her debilitating stroke, and a loving uncle to his nephew Ben, who was also devoted to his grandmother Nan. It was a trying and sometimes difficult period for them, but their self-sacrifice and deep love for a great woman pulled them through. Then love came knocking at their door, a young love that is true that leads to a wedding and a jaded soul that sacrificed so much still on a lonely path. This story is engrossing sometimes amusing and sad, Evie has developed trust issues she is very distrustful of men after her difficult experience and Scot wasn’t looking for love after his failed attempt, so here we have two jaded souls about to embark on a trial a test I would say. This story was very soul-searching with a sad twist, the storyline is a great one and the characters are awesome, this book jerked at my heartstrings, seriously, it was too close to home.

This was a really cute story which incorporated family and friendship as well as love. It is somewhat different to other chick lits and was actually more emotional than I was expecting. There are a few different relationships within the book all telling their own story and I liked how they were interwoven.

All in all a nice read with good pacing and more than your average chick lit - at least imo.

This was a lovely and easy to read story. It's quite emotional, but it has some really meaningful parts which you will find really heartwarming and enjoyable to read. This book was written beautifully and I found myself being hooked from the first chapter.

I'll be honest and say that sometimes I found the characters a little grating but overall it was a really lovely story and I found that all the stories blended in really well together, and I didn't get too confused by this. I would recommend to all those who love chick lit and romance novels (with a bit of a weepy storyline sometimes!).

Evie runs the Forget-Me-Not Flower Shop. She is saving hard to be able to buy the shop from the owner who will be selling at some point in the near future. Life is hard and money is tight, but she loves her job. The boiler in the shop is playing up and into her life walks handsome plumber Scott (or Scottie the Hottie as he is more commonly known as!). Evie tries to pretend to herself that she isn’t interested, as she’s been hurt in love before. Scott also makes out he isn’t interested – he has enough on his plate caring for his disabled mother and estranged nephew. Will they ever work out that sometimes you have to let things happen!

This was a wonderful story. It was a bit of a weepy, but also some lovely funny and meaningful parts! I went into it thinking it was another chick lit story, but I was wrong. It didn’t focus purely on Evie or Scott, but on all the other people in their lives as well. We met Laura, Evie’s best friend and Patricia, Laura’s husband’s tennis partner. Both don’t really know each other, but end up with their paths crossing due to their marriage problems. We meet Saffy, Evie’s flower shop assistant and Josh, the funeral directors assistant who pops in to collect the wreaths and always hopeful of getting Saffy to notice him. We meet Ben, Scott’s teenage nephew whose mother has abandoned him in favour of her career and Amy, Ben’s true love. Can they win everyone round to the idea of them marrying at such a young age? We also meet some other wonderful characters, all bringing together this story of love, friendship, relationships and sadness……oh yes and shoes! (Read the book, you’ll understand what I mean!!)

Fabulous writing which kept me hooked from the first page! A new author for me but will definitely keep an eye out for more! Five Stars!

• The love of a mother for her daughter and her happiness, even if it means going against the wishes of her bully of a philandering husband.
• The young and intense love of two intelligent and caring teenagers who only want to be together.
• The love between a long married couple who have lost their way.
Each of these subplots and reflections of love mesh together through the florist shop and impact on the relationship between Evie and Scott, who are flawed and real and honest.
Evie’s backstory with her former boyfriend Kyle can make her sound like a whimp who left her friends and job behind because she did not want to face his controlling nature again. That’s not very credible, but stick with it because like all of the memorable characters in this book, Evie does face her real, internal demons and come out at the other side with a real future ahead of her.
A well written and evocative novel with layers that any reader would enjoy.

The Forget Me Not Flower Shop shines with four separate subplots whose characters are carefully woven together later in the story. Evie is managing the shop and hopes to one day own it. She needs a plumber and calls in Scott, who lives with his mother and nephew after a heartbreaking incident with the love of his life. This story is engaging and honest, I loved the author's prose and characters. Scott is the man that every woman is looking for! Evie was the only character that I really wish had been a little different. She was too snitty and mean to Scott at first and a little too uninterested to me. All in all, I still recommend this book as a great read! I really enjoyed it!

This is a terrific book. Let’s start there. I’ll give you more below, but just know it’s a really good book and you should read it.

So to begin, The Forget-Me-Not Flower Shop by Tracy Corbett and available July 3, is kind of a romance, but while romance is a part of the book, it’s really about people figuring out their lives and going through difficult times and finding each other as friends and family. So if you’re looking for a strong romantic narrative, it’s not going to be coming. Doesn’t matter. It’s a fabulous read.

Scott is a delightful guy, but bogged down in several crises of his own. He’s given up his business and his life in London to care for his disabled mother and his nephew, who’s mom–Scott’s sister–can’t seem to be bothered. His ex-fiance blew him off when he decided to care for his mother, and so he’s skittish of new relationships, but he’s also eager to know Evie.

Things quickly go wrong for both. Corbett follows each through their separate lives, then bumps them up against each other, often with disastrous results. Each of them are putting up fronts so nobody knows just what is going on behind the facades and how difficult things have been and are, and both are afraid of what the other might think. Gradually their secrets come to light and they share, growing closer as friends and maybe something more.

This story is a relatively slow build, but the pacing is really perfect and the story so well woven that the end is incredibly satisfying. You don’t get any of those “too-stupid-to-live” moments, and when Evie seems determined to be blind or to react irrationally, Cordelia or Laura or Saffy or others are there to catch her up short and point out that her reality is different from what she understands. But you sympathize with her because you see that those reactions are realistic for where she’s been and she owns her mistakes and she doesn’t hide from growth. The other characters find both heartache and happiness–but in the end, it’s all perfect.

I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading Corbett’s next book.

I really liked the beginning! Evie had spunk, Saffy made me laugh, and Scott was someone I could empathize with. But then, when the sexually frustrated Laura and the emotionally abused Patricia come into play, everything went downhill. Quickly. Laura cheats on her husband (yes, she still cheated even if she ended up refusing sex) with Patricia's obvious player of a husband, Patricia lets her husband walk all over her and their daughter, and Evie can't get over her "man issues" long enough to give Scott a chance. She's rude and arrogant, and Scott was that way too. They seemed to treat each other worse as time went on instead of better. I actually would have rather read about Saffy and Josh, than about any of the other characters. I didn't like the ending, except for seeing that Patricia finally gave her husband the metaphorical finger.
