Oh my... I absolutely loved His to Seduce. Right from the start, I was consumed by this couple.
David and Camden have been circling one another for months. He has been blatant about his desire for the two of them to become something more. However, she's been quite resistant even though she also feels a wicked attraction toward him.
Denying their feelings creates this intense sexual tension and you're desperate for the moment that it pops and they act on all that they've been feeling. And from the moment that they do, you're all in. You want this relationship. You want them to work out their issues and to get past their personal histories and experiences because David and Camden are so amazing together.
They both try to ignore their own baggage and as a reader, you find yourself happily in the middle of some pretty emotional drama. Your heart hurts for all that they have endured. But what I really enjoyed was how the author resolved the couple's problems. It was intense while realistic. His to Seduce is truly a well written and thought-out story.
Each book in the Fireside series has been better than the last - which is really saying something since each of the love stories has been pretty freaking incredible. Definitely check these romances out - they are must read books!

What a wonderful romance. Cam and David are fantastic. The whole Fireside group is wonderful. I loved how they were part of this story. The problems that Cam and David had were real and sad. The words just flowed off the pages making you feel everything those two were going through. This was a very heartfelt, perfect story. Just a fabulous series

I am so glad to have discovered Stacey Lynn as an author. She is now on my must read list as everything I have read from her has met all my favorite criteria in romance: sexy heroes, strong heroines, lots of emotion and real life situations, sexy time and of course the ultimate happily ever after. You cannot go wrong with her books and I really love the Fireside series.

Camden and David finally get their story told in this last Fireside novel. I have enjoyed this group of friends as they've all found their happily ever afters. David has been interested in Camden since he came to down months ago, but she keeps him at a distance because of his profession and the fact that he could leave town at any time. Camden had a tragic event as a child and likes to keep her life in order. She likes to feel in control and doesn't ever enter out of her bubble, until she decides to let herself go for a weekend with David. This changes everything for her. When David turns out to be not exactly who she thought, she starts to spiral, but David is determined to stand by her. Camden needs to let others in and in order to do that she finally has to let go of her past.
This was a wonderful story about letting go of past tragedies that have shaped our lives in order to move forward. Camden and David both have had things in their past that have shaped who they have become. In talking about it, it frees them to love and move forward. This was a great ending to these novels. They can each be read as a standalone, but you usually see all of the characters throughout the books. I love this group of friends. I'll miss them.

ER doctor David McGregor has been running from himself for a long time. Camden Reed keeps to herself and holds her secrets close. When the two confront their attraction that is not the only uncomfortable truth they must face.
Stacey Lynn concluded her Fireside series on a high with His to Seduce. All of the stories in this series presented extreme issues that were dealt with candidly and sensitively. Lynn's use of emotional immersion in approaching hard topics and her dogged devotion to finding happily ever afters for her characters in a real and meaningful way were not only successfully done but were beautifully written. Book four, His To Seduce brought together two isolated people by exposing secrets and stripping down their self-imposed walls. David and Camden's recognition of the power of their connection allowed them to let go of the past and embraced the future making this book impossible to put down as their relationship played out. With no shortage of angst there was a strong passionate connection between the leads that was blistering hot! Ms. Lynn's strength at portraying her characters weaknesses and leading them to a place of stability and contentment shines through in His to Seduce.

'She was a wild card, skittish and closed off. Out of anyone I could go after, Camden would be the hardest to win. '
David McGregor has returned home to Latham Hills, MI to escape the guilt of running after tragedy struck back in Chicago where he was an ER doctor. While he figures out what he wants to do with his life, he’s keeping what happened in Chicago a secret and spending his time bartending at his friend’s restaurant to help him out. It’s here where he meets the tightly wound and closed off Camden Reed. He can’t get over the intense attraction he has towards her and even though she’s rebuffed his advances for months now, he is determined to get her to give him a chance. Camden can’t deny she’s attracted to David, but she thinks that he’s everything that she doesn’t want in a man. But as she spends more time with him, she finds that he pushes her out of her comfort zone and she’s surprised that she actually likes it. Camden has built up some pretty serious walls over the years to help her cope with something from her past, will David be able to break through and convince her that he’ll always be there for her?
“Don’t hide from me,” I whispered, and held her tight to me. “Don’t you know that I want to know everything about you? That I want all of you?”
I’m a big fan of Stacey Lynn’s books and have had the Fireside series on my TBR since it was announced, but I have to admit that this was the first one that I’ve gotten to actually read. It can stand alone, I never felt like I was lost by having not read the others but I can imagine that fans of the series will really enjoy catching up with some of the past characters. Overall, I enjoyed this story. David was fantastic. I loved his character and the way he (gently) pushed Camden past her comfort zone and helped her realize that the way she was living wasn’t how she wanted to live. He was great with her and he was willing to stick by her through thick and thin, even when she didn’t exactly make it easy for him. I went back and forth with my feelings for Camden. I did feel bad for what she went through, but I didn’t always understand her reactions to things and her standoffishness started to color my feelings against her. I found that I liked her most when she took chances and let David in but it was usually tempered by my frustration at something she would do that would push him away again. David was definitely a patient man! When she let her guard down, they did have great chemistry, though! There were plenty of steamy scenes that I really liked. Despite all the ups and down and back and forth with my feelings about Camden, I thought this was ultimately a sweet, sexy and heartfelt story and I really enjoyed the ending! I guess now I’ll have to make time to go back and read about the rest of the Fireside gang!
'Her mysteries had drawn me to her. Her vulnerability set me on fire for her. '

I absolutely loved His to Seduce. There wasn't a moment in this book where I wasn't moved (either happily or angrily).
Nobody- not even his best friends- knew what David was running from and even though he had heard Cam make comments, he still couldn't resist getting to know her. Cam always kept her armor up, due to a traumatic event when she was younger. When they are at their friends wedding, they decide to be together while they are there.
David gets Cam to let her guard down and they both realize that they want to give a relationship a try. When Cam finds out that David is way more than a bartender, she feels lied to because he never told her.
He doesn't give up, instead he beats her home and fights for her. She still hasn't told him everything and when she does my heart melted.
Things are good until something happens at Cam's job and she spirals and ends things. Does David have any fight left in him? Does Cam know/realize she made a mistake? Will they make it work on the end or is she too broken to admit she wants him?
Lies, omissions, traumatic events and hard truths are what you get when you read this gem.

I am in love with this series and I'm so sad that this is the last book! Lynn's characters and their issues are real life problems that are relatable. They are such interesting reads that I wouldn't hesitate to pick up anything Lynn writes.

David and Camden hook up at their friends wedding in Jamaica. For the weekend Camden let's down her hair and just has some fun with David who is hiding secrets about his past. As they grown closer together over the weekend David's past catches up to him and Camden runs.
Back home David fights to to gain Camdens trust and for the first time Camden learns to trust a man buthey runs when she gets scared. This was a great book and really enjoyed the 2 characters

This was a drama filled emotional read for me. I liked the characters as well as the story. It really drew me in. The characters have great chemistry and the sex is very steamy. A good read.

His to Seduce is the 4th book in the series and can be read as a standalone although I think after reading it (I didn't read the previous books yet) it would be more enjoyable if you'd read the books before this one.
This book centered around Camden and David who had obviously had some interactions in previous books. Both characters have some issues although Camden's are much greater. Camden had something happen to her when she was twelve that made her protect herself. She wanted control of everything that happened in her life and so she turned to lists and organizations. She worked hard to be successful and never have to worry about financial security and vowed to never have a boyfriend who didn't offer security. I had a really hard time connecting with Camden. She was so closed off and when I discovered what happened to her I found myself surprised that it wasn't more severe (not that I am saying she didn't go through a horrible situation but the lead up led me to believe it would be worse). Camden wanted security above all else and she was quick to judge other people based on what job they had not on who they were. Camden knew that David was very loyal to his friends who he'd known since childhood and would do anything for them so her "excuse" of it wasn't that he didn't make money but that he could leave at the drop of a hat because he worked as a bartender just made no sense to me. Since this was the driving conflict in the book I had a hard time with it.
I really enjoyed David. He saw his father die as a young man and decided to become a doctor. Unfortunately his need to save people conflicted with an ER doctor's ability to save everyone and when he had a difficult case where he couldn't he decided to take a break. David is in a place where he isn't sure which direction he wants to go in and so in a state of flux he works in his friends bar and has been pursuing Camden for several months (I assume in the previous books we actually see some of this).
Camden and David get together at the beginning of this book at a wedding for their friends. Camden decides to just let go and have some fun but still doesn't want anything serious with David do to her trust issues with him. David really likes Camden and wants more so he continues to pursue her and hopes that she will realize that they really have something together. Of course when Camden finds out David hasn't been open about his past she sees it as betrayal. Although I understand that she was upset Camden hadn't been open and honest about her past with David so it bothered me a bit that David had to do all the groveling for forgiveness.
Although I liked this book my issues and inability to connect with Camden made this a 3 star read. I will however go back and read the previous books in this series.

I'm torn on my review because I am such a fan of Stacey Lynn and the Fireside series. However, I found it hard to engaged in this particular story. I totally understand both Camden and David's hesitation to trust their secrets in the beginning, I just feel like Cam was so withholding with her's even after David shared his and had showed her she could trust him. I can appreciate that after coming from so little and wanting stability in your adult life that it would be hard to just jump into that type of unknown but David had proved time and again what the important parts of life could be had with him. I did love how sweet and patient David was. His character was immediately easy to like and root for. Cam was a good person just a little harder to respond to.
Where this can be read on it's own I would highly suggest reading the entire series. I love how you get to follow up with everyone in each book and see where they are at the moment. It's like the best type of epilogue. I was especially happy to be able to see where Aiden and Chelsea were after all they had gone through.
Would I recommend this book to others? For sure. It's still a well written story and I love that they ended up happy together. It's just not my most favorite out of the series in it's entirety. Still a Stacey Lynn fan and this is still a recommendable book.

3.5 Stars
His to Seduce is the fourth book in Stacey Lynn's Fireside series and follows bartender David, and overachiever Camden. The two have been circling around each other for months, yet Camden will not allow herself to fall for David. But David doesn't give up easily, especially not when he wants something as much as he wants Camden.
Honestly I don't have much to say about this book. I really enjoyed the story and the characters. David was sexy, and I liked that he didn't give up on Camden when things got tough. Camden was an okay character, I didn't hate her but I never felt a connection to her so I also didn't love her.
Their story is endearing and I liked them as a couple. I think I just couldn't stop comparing this book to the previous ones in the series which is why it ended with me only liking it. Overall I would still definitely recommend this book, though I would also recommend reading the previous books first.

Fighting the inevitable. That is the definition of David and Camden, well she fight the attraction to and nail. Both fighting to be more than their past, she to prove that she can be more than what she had and he to prove that the past does not rule his actions no matter the cost. What they both fail to see is that they are who they were in that past and so much more, better yet, that together they will surpass their own goals.
The last book in the Fireside series, gives us another couple that will melt your heart, fill our soul with tears and joy. This series is filled with so much more than just love, it is filled with romances that leave a mark.

His to Seduce by Stacey Lynn is the fourth and final book in the Fireside Grill series. I will truly miss everyone from the series but hopefully the author will write a wrap up novella in the future. This book deals with an accountant who protects herself with lists and organization and a former doctor now bartender with more money than he knows what to do with. But he also is running from a tragic death of his father and a mother while he was a ER surgeon in Chicago. Can they get past both of their sorrow and find love together.
Camden Reed having survived an attack by her mother's then boyfriend as a pre-teen, protects herself with lists and organization so that she'll never be hurt by any man ever again. She grew up in poverty and vows to never be poor again and her biggest champion is her mother who helped get justice for Camden. Having flirted with David through the previous three books they finally reach out and take it to the next level in Jamaica during Blue and Tyson's wedding. But when David reaches out to help a man who is having a seizure with his previous doctor's skills Camden runs. Can David win her back by telling her everything and promise of no lies or secrets? Will she be able to move past her tragic childhood?
David McGregor was there when his father had a heart attack and vowed to become a doctor so that no other child had to go through what he did. But one night while working the ER in Chicago, he does everything he can for a young family but its not enough. So he runs back home working his best friends bar as a bartender. Once a month the girls come in for a night out and even though he'd love to get to know Camden better, she won't date a bartender. He'll do everything to convince Camden to trust him but she has a secret too will he stay once he learns the truth?
I will miss the gang at Fireside Grill and even though this book has a rather touchy subject the author was able to present it in such a way that it shows Camden and her mother's fierce vow to survive and become better. I loved the family dinner when David takes Camden to dinner at his mother's and how she finally realizes that David is the man she's been waiting forev

What a great ending to a great series. Now granted, I only read two books. But the books that I read blew me off my feet. His to Seduce starts off as a your typical screwfest. I mean, Camden and David had no holds bar sex in a closet at their friend’s wedding reception in Jamaica and then spend the rest of the vacation doing the same. But, Cam’s tragic past raises its head and David’s huge secret (which was only a secret to Cam….not everyone else) is revealed in a very shocking way.
I will admit, Camden annoyed me. She came across as a bit snobby (telling Trina that she would never date bartenders) and very insecure. But, the more I read in the book and the more she reveals about herself, I started to get why she was the way she was and it broke my heart. No child should ever have to go through what she did and all I have to say is that the drunk neighbor was my hero in that situation. It also explained her over the top reaction to David’s secret.
David was a saint. His only fault was that he didn’t tell Cam that he was a Dr or that he was über rich. I think he dealt with Cam and her insecurities amazingly well and I pegged him being in love with her when she told him her big secret and he gave her space. He also didn’t take her crap, which I liked also. But he wasn’t a saint. To be honest, I felt that he was dealing with a form of PTSD after being an ER Dr in Detroit. Just saying, it sounded like it to me. I also liked that he pushed Cam to face her fears and embrace them. I swear, if he was real, I would be all over him like white on rice….lmao.
The sex was beyond hot. They had closet sex, pool sex, ocean sex and bed sex. I loved Cam’s reaction to the ocean sex. Honestly, I would have thought the same thing. Salt water wouldn’t make a good lube….lol.
The end of the book, along with the epilogue, was awesome!! I just wish that the other characters from the other book made an appearance, so we could have seen what was going on in their lives.
How many stars will I give His to Seduce: 4
Why: A great book with hot sex and some memorable characters. I will admit that Cam annoyed me but that was eclipsed by her and David’s love story
Will I reread: Yes
Will I recommend to family and friends: Yes
Age range: Adult
Why: Sex and language

While this can absolutely be read as a standalone, I've followed the Fireside Series from the start and I have to say, I think this one may be my favorite. I've enjoyed them all but there's something special about the dynamic between Camden and David that really sucked me in.
Both David and Camden are running away from something in their past so there is a bit of drama to them. But what I like the most is how David never wavered. His goal was to get Camden to open up to him and the idea of them together when they went to Jamaica for their friend's wedding. He knew that he wanted more than a casual hookup and he did everything to make sure she knew that and knew his intentions.
Camden has been very calculated in everything she does since she was twelve. A horrible past has left her with a lot of emotional pain that she hasn't really dealt with and it has left her unable to really enjoy life the way that she should. David does something to her and forces her to face her fear instead of running from it. He's exactly what she needs, even when she doesn't know she needs it.
The two of them are just absolutely perfect for each other and they balance each other out. They push each other and support each other all with the intention of fulling making the other happy. I had a great time experience them fall for each other.
I'm sad that the Fireside Series has come to an end, as I've really enjoyed it. I've liked all the characters and I truly enjoy the writing style from Stacey Lynn. It flows effortlessly and really helps keep the pace steady.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. If you are looking for a super sweet man with a big of cocky swagger and a sweet but haunted woman who is looking to come out of her shell, then this is the book for you.

This is the 4th and final book in this series which for me has been very enjoyable. I will start out by saying that this was not my favorite HEA but it was good enough that I am glad I read it. I truly enjoyed seeing old friends from the previous books and knew that this book would be the final with this troupe of friends. Camden and David both had issues that kept them from being open to each other, but they also had a powerful attraction. David was able to get a handle on his issues early enough in this book but Camden really, really had issues and it seemed that we would never get to the HEA. To me it dragged when I was ready for her to "buck up" and have a life. I don't mean to make light of her issues because they were horrendous, and I guess everyone has to resolve them on their own time frame, but for the sake of this story, I wish it had happened a little more quickly! As always, thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this for an honest review. I have honestly enjoyed this entire series.

Final Score - 5 A Beautiful Ending Stars!
What happens when a a spur of the moment wedding trip to Jamaica, two people finally hook up? In the closet? In a hallway? With guest just circling around?
Meet David ... who has been waiting for 5 months for Cam. He's been patient, but the time has come for him to make his move. Now that he has unlimited access to her (meaning she can't run away), he's got the weekend to prove to her that they're worth it. David sets about his seduction of Cam (what else can it be called?) and begins to slightly push Cam out of her very tightly woven comfort zone (cuz let's face it, the girl need to let loose!)
Cam is the one out of all the girls - you know the one: wrapped so tight, if you stick a lump of coal up her butt, in two weeks you'd have a diamond! She has set rules and doesn't deviate far from them. She's not a risk taker, she makes carefully structured lists, and insists on order in her everyday life. So hooking up with David is not only out of character, but totally not her. Who is he turning her into?!
But David sets about to change that, pushing Cam out of her very tightly woven comfort zone. It's such a great thing to see these connect and just let loose! Although Cam tells herself it's only one night, she beings to relent (defrost) herself towards David. However, these two have secrets.
They spend a large part of the book working through their "issues" regarding those secrets. David allows himself to be vulnerable first, only after having his hand forced but it sends Cam running back home. It takes a while for Cam to open up to David about her secret. She doesn't make it easy for David to gain her trust. Even after him telling her his story, she still withholds her from him. Until it can't be held back any longer ... and then they are at a crossroads.
I loved David in this story. The man was so laid back and willing to give Cam her space to work things out for herself - what man do you know does that?! And despite wanting to knock her upside the head once or twice, I genuinely liked Cam, although she's a tad extra as they say.
Stacey Lynn can write a great story and just engross you with her characters. These people have real lives and relevant issues and are dealt with as such. It's perfect from beginning to end. This book and the rest of this series is incredible.
This book marks the 4th one of the series and I'm sad/depressed to see it end. Each story has taken a piece of my heart. I Thank you Ms. Lynn for a great trip into the lives of everyone in this series.
It really embodies the saying - a #mustread series.
