Fangirling! I absolutely loved this book - Ethan's assholeness and all! I'm going to be honest and say I read a few reviews of this book before I decided to read it, and not all of them were pleasant. I was more attentive to this book due to those reviews and it just made me love it even more. It's not anything special or 6 stars on my rating scale, but I can assure you it's better than you probably think it is.
The book is centered on Ethan and Jenny. Ethan is a sports agent, an asshole, but at the same time caring and sweet. He has a weak spot for Jenny from the moment he met her and although he's a jerk for a good 50% of the book, he always tends to make up for it in the most considerate ways. Seriously if I had an Ethan for a boyfriend I would never complain.
Then there is Jenny. Jenny is struggling to pay her fathers medical bills. Growing up with an absent mother, her father is her world and taking care of him is the most important thing in her life. Her and her best friend Kelsey spend almost every day with him unless their working. This is tough especially because working for Ethan means work work work.
I loved how there was no delay in Ethan and Jenny's relationship. Although in the first few chapters they struggle to step across the employee and boss line, soon enough they give in to their mutual attraction and take a chance. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to shake Ethan and tell him to just shove it! Seriously he poor his foot into his mouth quite a few times, but he always manages to make their arguments worth while...if you know what I mean.

Jenny needs a new job her father’s medical bills are out of control. The opportunity to work under Ethan is too good to be true.
As soon as Ethan sees Jenny he knows he is going to hire her. He can’t even think straight when she is in the room. He has to have her.
Jenny just wants to worry about spending her days with her Dad as his condition is getting worse everyday. Adding Ethan to the mix is dangerous territory for her. She can’t resist him and he can’t resist her. Ethan has to put his arrogance behind him and get over his past in order to move forward.
This book is hot hot hot one kiss form Ethan and Jenny is gone. Not only does Ethan fall for her body but for her brain as well.

I loved Bossed!!!! Ethan and Jenny's story was equal parts sweet and steamy. The story and characters were well developed, believable, and relatable. I devoured the book in one sitting....it's a definite mommy's ordering takeout kind of book. I'm glad I picked this one. I'm going to see what else this author has done!!!

Loved it!!! A sexy romance with the new hire ready to take charge of the hot-shot sports agent. He is used to calling the shots and falls for his employee, even though he knew he shouldn't. I love the back and forth between Jenny and Ethan and really could not put the book down. Will recommend for sure!

I like the concept of the book but it failed to deliver for me.
I like the initial sass and banter between Ethan and Jenny but they were teetering in meanness. They didn't have the playful banter that I was hoping for.
I also didn't feel chemistry between the pair. They went about the motions but it was lacking for me.

I really enjoyed this book! A lot sexy, a little sweet, I loved this couple. Jenny and Ethan push each others buttons and it makes for an entertaining read. Can't wait for the next in the series!

I loved this story! Ethan Mason and Jenny Jackson, whew...the chemistry was off the pages hot. I love a story where the heroine gives as good as she gets and this story did not disappoint. This book had me from the first paragraph, and I could not put it down. Great read that I would definitely recommend!

This is not your typical Millionaire boss and smitten employee, that he happens to fall for but has a dark past and no one is close to him so he uses BDSM as a way to control... or the other types of Millionaire/Billionaire story.
This book was a breath of fresh air...
Jenny is a strong woman who isn't afraid to stand up for herself. When she runs into a jerk before an interview (for a job she really needs and wants) she has no idea it's about to change her life.
Ethan is taken by the woman on the street who gave his attitude right back to him. Neither thought they'd see each other again..... until she walked in for her interview.
The chemistry between them is palpable and you could feel it in the writing. Ethan is like a normal guy except he refuses what his heart & soul want.... and Jenny is no mouse. She is smart, strong willed and witty. Each character was developed and you become familiar with them as though they were your friends. If you like steamy romances with real dialogue you will love this book. There was wit, humor, heart break and panties on fire romance. I've already downloaded the author's Pantie Whisperer series because her writing captures you right away!

Whew! This was a steamy read! I liked the chemistry between Ethan and Jenny, but I found Jenny to be a terrible employee and Ethan started off arrogant but ended up completely whiny when Jenny stopped speaking to him. By the end, I was just skim-reading to get to the happily-ever-after.

Are you searching for a book with a sexy, filthy, alpha male then look no further? Ethan Mason owns Mason and Associates, a sports agency; he is the boss you love to hate, but he is so sexy! Jenny Jackson is on her way to an interview when she bumps into a “beautiful asshole” only to find out he is her interviewer. She schools Ethan in baseball stats and gets the job! They have a mutual attraction and chemistry that cannot be ignored. Their interactions are feisty, so sexy and amusing. They get their HEA after a few bumps in the road. I could not put this book down it was an entertaining, compulsive read that was in turns raunchy, witty, and blue. It is well written, with 2 strong leading characters and a supporting cast that enhances the story.

I liked this book, but it wasn't what I expected from this author. It was very well written, and had a great story but, I feel the writer could have done so much more. It just felt off for me. I would buy this and recommend to other readers only because this authors' work is usually so much better.

I have never read a book by this author and you can bet I will remedy that. This was an amazing read. Funny, sexy, great friendships, informative and so so sexy. I already have the second on in my wish list.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This book is about Jenny, a smart-mouthed, no-nonsense girl who needs a job to help with a family issue. She's heading to an interview when she bumps into a rude stranger. Her day goes downhill from there.
I liked Jenny's character for the most part. I did not like that she couldn't handle crisis well, but given the circumstances, I gave her a pass for MOST of her reactions. Though, there was one part that I thought she had crossed the line of reasonablity.
I don't expect the characters of any book to be perfect (I prefer flaws, actually). I believe that there is a possibility that one could be so enamored by another, that they "reform" their idiotic ways. Like Ethan did. He did have lapses, but I chalked that up as concern and fear. There were times he did act like a spoiled kid throwing a tantrum, but if he was accustomed to getting his way and understood that he had no control over the situations that were presenting themselves, maybe, just maybe he would shut down (though he'd never let on that this was happening to the outside world).
Now, given the setting of the story, I don't know if someone would truly act the way Jenny did in the workplace and have a pass. I'm not convinced of that part of the book, but it was entertaining, nevertheless.
This was a quick read for me and I wanted to know how it ended. I liked the supporting characters and felt they added a little more to the story. There is adult language, that I could have done without and adult situations in interesting places.
3.5 stars

I’ve read a couple of Sloane Howell books before and find I really enjoy her writing style. I love the start of every new book and when the plot is interesting and compelling from the start, you know it’s going to be a good book. The chemistry between Ethan and Jenny was there from the beginning yet they didn’t start having sex right away. I like that it was built up which made the sexual tension that much more interesting; plus they actually got to know one another before they had sex. I was a little frustrated with all the miss-communication between the H & h that seems to be an on-going occurrence but if you like work-place romance you will like this book. I really enjoyed the banter with Ethan’s best friend Matt and can’t wait for his story. I was fortunate to receive this free book for a pre-release ARC review. This is one that I will enjoy read again – I definitely recommend.

I really liked this book. Jenny and Ethan have chemistry right from the moment they meet. They can't act on it as he owns the company jenny works for but as the spend more together the more they realise they are meant to be together. This was a good book it had lots of laughs and some sad parts and at times I wanted to hit Ethan over his head. I loved Ethans friend Matt and Jenny's Kersey and I hope they get a story.

DNF @ 30%
Life is too short to keep reading books you have a hard time with, sadly. The main problem I have with this book is the characters; Jenny and Ethan behaved too juvenile for my taste. I didn't feel connected at all with them, and I got annoyed when they didn't act realistically.
Overall, this had potential; I really liked the first 10% but it went downhill from there for me.

4 stars.
ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
First time reading a Sloane Howell novel and after reading was surprised to find out the author was a man. I say this because I really liked how well defined and complex the heroine was in this book. Kuddos to Sloane. Jenny was pretty amazing and Ethan wasn't bad either.
It was a highly entertaining sports themed contemporary romance with witty banter, strong characters, sexy scenes and a touch of sadness. I really enjoyed reading this book and was hooked very quickly.
Jenny Jackson really needs this job at Ethan Mason's Sports agency as she has a sick father and mounting medical bills.
Jenny: Job interviews are a bitch under the best of circumstances, but when your potential boss is the world’s biggest prick, that’s when you should simply walk away. It’s just that I need this job so badly—and I’m mesmerized by Ethan Mason’s piercing gaze. Men like him aren’t supposed to exist in real life. But under the tailored suits and GQ looks, Ethan simmers with barely restrained ambition. And no matter how hard I work to fight the attraction, I’m going to get burned.
Ethan: You don’t become a top agent without learning how to close a deal. I always get what—or who—I want, by staying cool and in command. Then Jenny Jackson walks into my office with her lush curves and “screw you” attitude and blows away my intentions of keeping things professional. All I can think about is exploring the perfect body hidden beneath those conservative clothes or shutting her saucy mouth with one hot kiss. Jenny’s worth breaking the rules over—if I can convince her to break the rules for me.
If you like contemporary romance give this one a spin as you won't be disappointed. Great emotional story. I had a few nit-picky moments mostly with professional and work related scenes but as I learned more about Jenny and Ethan and why they are so emotionally closed off I really felt for them.

What a great book! I loved it!! It has humour, sadness, love & hot, hot sex! I was hooked from the first meeting of Jenny & Ethan by the park. (Who doesn't like a bit of talking back, needing to have the last word & some sign language thrown in!) The sparks flew between them through the whole story. The characters felt real. They were like friends & family.
I would definitely recommend this to friends as a must read. And, I look forward to reading more from Sloane Howell. Mr. Howell, you know how to tell an awesome story! Thanks :)

This started out great... snappy witty and then dissolved into something i just couldn't get behind... it could be me... but to my way of accessing... the female lead started out with fire and could hold her own... The guy was hot sexy and strong- She became less... and whinny and he had knee jerk reactions. So for me... was not my book.
