This is the second book in the NY a confidential series. We re visit the Finnegan family and FBI agent Craig Frazier. A woman has been found posed in a forgotten crypt under an old church. The victim is a well known supermodel/actress. She is not this killers first victim. Kieran Finnegan and Craig Frazier are a couple and he is worried about her because she closely fits the profile of the killers victims.
I have to say I liked the first book better than this one. This was a good read, plenty of dark suspense and mystery. There were some threads in the story that were left unexplained. This was a quick read and I will continue reading the series. I would give this book 3 1/2 stars. Thanks you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

After I finish The Simplicity of Cider, I have A Perfect Obsession by Heather Graham to read next. I love to switch up genres so I’m moving right into a thrilling novel. Here is what you need to know about this one!
Kieran Finnegan, forensic psychologist and part owner of Finnegan’s, her family’s pub, is consulting on the case. Craig and Kieran are a couple who’ve worked together on more than one occasion. On this occasion, though, Craig fears for the safety of the woman he loves. Because the killer is too close. The body of a young model is found in a catacomb under a two-hundred-year-old church, now deconsecrated and turned into a nightclub. A church directly behind Finnegan’s in lower Manhattan.
As more women are murdered, their bodies discovered in underground locations in New York, it’s clear that the police and the FBI are dealing with a serial killer. Craig and Kieran are desperate to track down the murderer, a man obsessed with female perfection. Obsessed enough to want to “preserve” that beauty by destroying the women who embody it”

Glad to return to Finnegan's Pub and the brothers and sister owners. The plot does a great job with the history of New York that adds much to the enjoyment of the book. The plot is fast moving and will keep you engaged.

Though I enjoyed reading this book I felt it was very predictable and therefore less compelling. This is a good book to read at the beach .

I enjoy reading about Kieran and Craig's adventures. The Finnegan family and all that are related keep things interesting. This was a well-formulated mystery, it kept me quite engaged. I also enjoyed the aspects of history of New York City that were entwined within the story, a hallmark of Graham's writing.

OH BOY! I was sucked in the moment that I started the first sentence. Make sure that you start reading this book when you have time to finish it in one sitting. You will not want to put it down.

If there were more stars to give, I would give them to this book. Second in new series, following Flawless, this book has wonderful characters and you quickly get to know each as friends. I didn't narrow down the culprit until the last couple of chapters but it all made sense. Highly recommend this and Flawless. Terrific.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, but this one just felt a bit like a filler. The main characters relationship was flat and didn't evolve. The story was okay, I didn't guess who the killer was until the end. But it wasn't as great as the first.

This is the first book I have personally read from Heather Graham.
A Perfect Obsession is book two in a series of books about the Finnegan Family in New York City who runs a pub. Heather Graham is able to pull readers into story quickly keeping the readers hooked. The only dispute I have with A Perfect Obsession is that I feel ended to quickly. Heather Graham keep this amazing build up but I felt it was cut to short and I didn't feel I understand why the killer wanted to keep the girls so perfect. I can only imagine how hard it is to tell such a detailed story but I could have had less romance to make the ending make just a little more complete.
I will keep reading Author Heather Graham she is able to paint such a detail world pulling the reader in walking the streets of New York with the Finnegan Family.
Thank you Netgalley Advance Copy for my honest thoughts.

I love this series by Heather Graham. Spooky setting and wonderful characters. A story line that grabs you from page one

Another page turner from Heather Graham. Main characters are always great but I was a little disapointed with the explanation of why the killer started and also the killer themselves.

A “collector” is hunting down and killing the “perfect women” of New York and leaving their bodies behind in creepy crypts and mausoleums. FBI agent Craig Fraiser is heading up the investigation, aided by his lover, forensic psychologist, Kieran Finnegan. The two have worked together before, but this time Craig is uneasy. He’s worried that the killer is too close to Kieran and he’s proven right when the latest body is found underneath a 200-year-old deconsecrated church turned night club, located right behind Kieran’s family pub, Finnegan’s. High octane excitement from Graham will please her legion of fans
