Meh. Nothing extra to push it over the top. Prince knocks up a commoner, but neither know the other's last name. Months later she's in labor in his ER. Happily ever after.

Emergency registrar Elias is also secretly a royal Prince. He is shocked when recent one night stand Beth arrives at the hospital he works at in labour with his premature baby girl. A very enjoyable story told in flashbacks and the present. Beth and Elias are likable characters with interesting back stories. I thought that the author descriptions of the medical procedures and the premature babies were very good. Well worth reading.

Beth's parents are pretty strict so imagine when they find out that their taught is pregnant after a one night stand so eventually she went her own way not knowing much about the father. Shes also less then thrilled when she find out the doc who will be aiding her child's birth is none other then the father. Now she'll have to not only deal with the stress of her child being a preemie but the stress of also having Elias around.

I liked this book it was a nice and simple read. Pretty basic romance with a different set of characters. I still find these stories enjoyable even if they are predictable. I liked the characters in this book and how well the story was written. Overall a pretty good book.

A captivating read about finding the love of your life when you least expect it ... and overcoming secrets and roadblocks to find your happily-ever-after!

Dr. Elias Santini, the secret Prince of Medrindos, doesn't plan on delivering a baby during his Accident and Emergency shift that night at a London hospital ... and he's even more shocked when he sees his one night fling and realizes it's his very own baby he's delivering!

Event planner Beth Foster is in town on business and suddenly finds herself in labor way too early. Estranged from her strict parents, she's all alone in the world as the stress of being unwell and unable to find out what's going on with her baby rains down on her. She's so relieved when Elias walks in the door! As they embark on the journey of seeing their baby through this battle, they begin to get to know more about each other and enjoy their time together. When the truth about Elias's heritage comes out, will she be able to stand the thought of life as a royal?

I feel as if I reached my limit with these royalty-type romances and thought I'd give this one last try before I call it quits, but I was pleasantly surprised as unlike the rest, this one I really liked. The main characters were likable (no douche hero) and having personally experienced the fear and pain one goes through when confronted with a preemie, I could relate.

For a moment there, I thought I was re-reading His Pregnant Royal Bride by Amy Ruttan. Prince who is also a doctor, check. Has a one-night-stand with a commoner, check. Gets her pregnant, check.

From there on in, though, the stories are wildly different, and in the best possible way. Elias is everything one could want in a man who's had new fatherhood sprung on him in the worst possible way - having to deliver his own premature daughter - and he handles the whole situation magnificently, not dumping any of his burdens on Beth's already overloaded shoulders. He and Beth were wonderful together as they coped with having a premmie in the neo-natal ICU (very believably and poignantly written), somehow dealing with the fallout from their own relationship at the same time.

I won't spoiler this story any more for you, but I will say that it was an absolute delight. I may be changing my mind about the quality of modern-day Harlequins... or at least reserving judgement until I've read a lot more of them. Carol Marinelli is a master of the storytelling art and she's told an amazing tale here.

5 stars.

This was Beth and Elias's story. A patient comes into emergency in premature labor. Elias is called to deliver the baby. The patient and child turn out to be his. This book shows how Beth and Elias deal with a premature baby, his royal life, being a doctor and Beth's father being a minister. It was a fast and enjoyable read.

A definite buy if you like modern royalty romances. While it is not in my favorite line of romances it is one I turn to for a change. This author is extremely talented with her way of writing. I was pulled into the book and only had one problem, that the hero was a little too weak in character at times while at others he was a fantasy man! The characters are well written, the pathos and love and life threatening situations were grasping and real. I was buried in the story and rooted for so many of the supporting characters as well as the main that I was sad and disappointed when the story ended. It is truly a good read! I only gave four stars for I thought with royalty I expected him to be a little stronger in his stands at times. Maybe it was unfair to take off a star for personal opinion but that is what it way. This in no way detracts from a good read! For a heart grasping and warming romance this is definitely one to read!
I was given this book in return for an honest review. Anna Swedenmom

Loved the beginning of the story, the surprise of the delivery and the quick set up of characters so the story can evolve. Carol Marinelli writes with such a wonderful way of words she's on my auto buy list. I love the depth she goes into to develop Elias and Beth. I love the wholesome character of Beth and the complete opposite of Elias, a prince from far away.

Beautiful story, well written and had me hooked the whole way through.

Their Secret Royal Baby was a great read in one of my favorite guilty pleasure genres, modern royal romance. I received a free copy from NetGalley and the publisher. Beth is a young Scottish woman who despite having a minister for a father has managed to live a little. She is trying to stretch her wings through a career as an events coordinator. It doesn't please her father but he assists her by helping her gain clients through the church by arranging functions like weddings. She has her first event far away from home planning and coordinating a surprise event for friends from her home town in Scotland when she meets Elias, a prince of a small European island. Elias is also struggling under the weight of family obligations when they meet but, they have an instant attraction that will cause both of them no end of trouble. It is great to see them work through the constraints of their different upbringing, backgrounds and goals. This is a great addition to Carol Marinelli's list of wonderful books and definitely one I'll come back to again.
