Mistaken Identity was a surprising read. When I started the book I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did, but as I continued reading the story really picked up. I liked the mistaken identity part of the story -- I can totally see why the villains were wrong about who Trinity was in relation to Mason.

The story had a decent amount of suspense, which made the pages easier to fly through and I (of course) loved that. I also liked that even though this is the seventh book in the Mission: Rescue series, you do not need to read them in order...I've only read a few of them and it did not affect my enjoyment of the book.

All in all, Mistaken Identity was a good read. I recommend it to fans of romantic suspense.

This is book seven in the Mission Rescue series, I believe it is a stand a lone book for I had no problem understanding what was going on. I did, however, think this was a part of a series before I looked to be sure just by the way it was written. Now I want to go back and read the entire series. I fell in love with all the characters in this book and want to read their own story.

Shirlee McCoy does a great job at putting you right in the middle of the lives of those involved. You understand their feelings, emotion and struggles. You feel like a part of the group.

I loved Trinity Miller, she is a fun, spunky, smart girl who is trying to help out a dear friend. She just happens to find herself in more trouble than usual. When she is mistaken for someone she is not. Will she be able to stay alive and help her friend or are they both just to complicated to figure out.

Mason Gains is a character all to himself. There is more to him than most people realize. When Trinity is mistaken for his girlfriend, he must wonder her true motive for being on his property. Is she an innocent bystander or does she have alerter motives.

The attraction, dialogue and circumstances Mason and Trinity find themselves in are great. I look forward to reading more from this author. She is a great suspense, mystery and of course romance writer.

Mistaken Identity is part of the Mission: Rescue series. I am embarrassed to admit I forgot how good this series is. I realized I missed Chance and Stella’s story and I need to go back and find it. In Mistaken Identity Trinity gets her story and some action. She is the sister of Chance the owner of HEART and works behind the scenes doing computer forensics and finding people. I loved her and her story of trying to find her purpose and trying to prove she is valuable. Trinity was strong but didn’t make stupid decision to prove how strong and stubborn she was. She understood the dangers because she worked for HEART. I LOVE Mason. Mason was heroic and tortured but not in an overly dramatic way. He is somewhat of a recluse and has turned to making high tech prosthetics for veterans after returning from the war.
The interactions between her and Mason were swoon worthy. He wanted to know her. I loved how he would support her when her brothers were being overly protective. It was funny that she was a hot mess most of the time they were together.
I recommend a hot chocolate and an electric blanket while reading the book, because the descriptions are so realistic that you will be freezing right along with them.
Would love to see Tate get his own story. Also the lady of the B and B. She is a mystery and I want her story. Mistaken Identity is action packed and romantic is a sweet fun way. Readers of the series will enjoy the scenes with her brothers coming to her rescue.

This book starts right off grabbing you by your shoulders pulling you into the book - grabbing your hand saying "you, you're with me and don't let go or you'll regret it." The beginning of the book starts off right away attacking your curiosity and it keeps it right until you find ALL the answers - when your socks are totally knocked off. McCoy balances love life and mysteries just great. Immediately something happens with Trinity that gets her into some serious trouble - life trouble. Mason is perplexed by Trinity - he likes his life as is, but he also likes Trinity - what should he do? This book is humorous, dangerous, exciting, romantic, trusting, downright appropriate for those of you who like a good ole fashioned mystery with a twist -of suspense.

It seems that Trinity seems to be at the right place at the wrong time situation. Looking for Mason to help a friend out Trinity is mistakenly believed to have a connection to Mason. The kidnappers believe if they take Trinity they'll have leverage over Mason to get to who they want.

This is fast paced action packed book and if you love that sorta thing like I do then you'll want to get your hands on this book. Along with that the main characters weren't the lovey dovey type to have a romance in between all that is happening which kinda drives me nuts sometimes. Like your life is in danger can we stop fooling around or someone will get hurt because of the distraction? This book didn't have that type of thing going on there is that spark / Connection between the two main characters but it didn't over power the book or really get anywhere much until the ending. Overall this was a pretty great book I loved that every single moment was another opportunity for something to happen and I love being on my toes when it comes to books.

Trinity Miller has a big heart, she's on a mission to help her best friend's son Henry who is going to lose his leg to cancer. She wants the elusive Mason Gaines to make Henry's prosthetic, and she knows that he has property in Maine. But upon finding his house she is chased off with gunshots.

Mason comes home just in time to help Trinity. Mason is ex-military and makes prosthetic limbs for veterans, placing a computer chip in each of the limbs, and he believes that someone is trying to find one of his clients. He feels responsible for Trinity's safety after the bad guys assume that she is his girlfriend, and her life is now in danger.

Will they be able to find out who is after them before it's too late?

Trinity is a computer forensics expert, she is brave and tenacious, she is determined to see it though to the end and get Henry his leg.

Mason is impressed by Trinity and her determination. He is always on the alert for danger and does his best to keep her safe. He thought that he wanted to be alone and live in solitary, but meeting Trinity is changing everything for him. He must step out of his comfort zone to keep her safe.

I loved how this book is fast paced, and full of intensity. The dialog grows their relationship, and I like how the heroes realize that God's plan is bigger than anything that they could have planned themselves. Highly enjoyable and full of tension!

From the very start of the story, the author paints a picture from the horror movies and worst nightmares, bringing up the tension high, and the fear factor aloft. The eerie, dark forest road, with no one around, late at night, raining, and a woman driving alone to an unsure destination... The creepy and morbid scene just escalates, the danger imminent, the events just adding to the peril Trinity Miller is in making the story addictive.
The suspense and action in the story are straightforward, constant, and deadly. Even though the main culprit isn't known, the characters themselves are pretty much clued into the reasons and motivations behind the attacks.
Trinity Miller is a fun character, I really liked her. She is at a crossroads with her life. The future she had planned and hoped for didn't work out, her disappointing former relationship gave her a restless mind and made her evaluate her life goals, seeking God's guidance with her future. She has a great sense of humor, she is resilient, kind, caring, with a deep sense of loyalty. Even though she kept acting without thinking, getting her into trouble, she also was able to think under duress and get herself out of the hurdles as well.
Mason Gains has chosen to live in the secluded house, on the outskirts of the small town. The pain from the past, the losses he had faced, and the betrayals he had encountered had guided his desire to keep at the distance of the most in the society, teaching him to only trust in God at the moment of uncertainty. But he wasn't an unpleasant character, quite the opposite. Deep down he was very much like Trinity, with the loyalty, kindness, caring, and toughness, and a great sense of humor. His nearly instant attraction to Trinity was endearing, he wasn't about to hide it, and he was willing to do anything to keep her safe and out of harm's way.
The riveting action with the danger and fear created a spellbinding vacuum that clued me into my kindle. Adding to that the budding sweet and tender feelings between the hero and heroine, the loyalty of friends and family, and the unexpected humorous moments that had me cracking up at the dodgiest times made this book unputdownable for me, reading till the dawn. I really do enjoy this author's writing, she gets me every single time!

I usualy love Shirlee McCoy stories, but this one was a disappointment. I didn't like Mason and I thought Trinity's angst over how she fits into HEART was contrived. To be fair, by the end of the story Mason kind of grew on me, but he seemed too much of a jerk at the beginning.

His backstory didn't seem to give him any empathy - maybe we were supposed to see that it hardened him and made him reclusive, but I didn't "feel" that in the book.

There were so many great things that could have happened in this book, but didn't. There is a lot of running around, some injuries, but no genuine suspense. This is atypical for a McCoy story.

"Mistaken Identity" is a Christian suspense novel. It's the seventh book in a series, but you don't need to read the previous books to understand this one.

The characters were nice people who struggled with realistic problems. Trinity feels like she needs to prove her worth after a failed relationship and doubts about her career choice. Mason also has past relationship traumas which have led to his refusal to make prosthetics for kids, the very thing that Trinity wants from him. With bad guys determined to kidnap Trinity and kill anyone who gets in their way, there's plenty of suspense. They have to fight off the bad guys while trying to track down exactly who they are.

The Christian element was their coming to understand that God has a good plan for their lives. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this enjoyable suspense novel.
