Very entertaining. I enjoyed this story and the dialogue and relationships between Aubree and Parker and their kooky town, friends and family. There was substance to the story, which is great to find, and real sparks between these two. My only problem with the story - and its totally only a personal preference - is that Parker should have been well broken up with Sophie before he hooks up with Aubree. We want to hate Sophie, but no one would actually like to be in her shoes. It takes a bit of the shine off Parker. Otherwise, a fun and flirty read!

I always like books about old flames reuniting and there’s a softness in this story because of the closeness and familiarity between hero and heroine that is moving.
The beginning grabs your attention immediately with its witty and snarky dialogue and appealing characters.
Characterization is good with overall solid characters: the heroine is shy of being annoying and pushy, but somehow redeems herself with her altruism. The hot alpha hero is a tortured male dealing with survivor’s guilt and PTSD.
Was the PTSD issue resolved too easily? Is a soothing heroine enough to fight this condition? I think the approach to this subject had some weaknesses, even when turning to a psychiatrist.
At the end the story drags a little, but all in all a very enjoyable read.
