Love in Lingerie was angsty, flirty, and of course sexy! There was so much angst that I often found myself wanting to strangle Trey. The relationship between Trey and Kate was agonizing but yet euphoric. This is a friend to forbidden lovers story that will hook you immediately.
Trey is the owner of Marks Lingerie which currently is in danger of closing down. He hires Kate who he thinks is the best fit to hopefully help the company prosper. Little does he know that Kate will make him question his fraternization policy. I loved Trey, but at the same time I was so irritated with him. The attraction between them was there from the get go, and I felt like he needed to hurry up and make a move on Kate.
Overall, I love Alessandra’s agonizing writing and the complex characters she gives us. This is definitely one that everyone needs to read!

Strokes of pure genius. I love this story of Trey and Kate because it spans years and a deep basis of friendship. Yes, I was tempted to throw the Kindle a few times because there is so much sexual tension between these two characters that you can't help but want them to connect on a sexual level. Alessandra Torre's Love in Lingerie is the perfect friends to lovers romance for your weekend read. Quintessential Alessandra when it comes to whipping up the steam factor with a beautiful love story that crosses boundaries.
Alessandra Torre's Love in Lingerie is the perfect friends to lovers romance for your weekend read. Quintessential Alessandra when it comes to whipping up the steam factor with a beautiful love story that crosses boundaries. Because of this deep seeded need to not cross lines, Trey may miss out on the love of his life. Can the lines get blurred for good and not evil, though? Is Kate like women in his past or is she different?
Love in Lingerie had me swoony and happy, miserable and sad, and so entrenched with Trey and Kate's story that I ended with a book hangover and a smile on my face. Well done, Alessandra.

If this night was lingerie, it'd be a leopard print satin set. Trashy and destined for ridicule.
If this woman was lingerie, I'd strip it off and then properly show her who is in charge.
If our love was lingerie, it'd be a corset, one laced so tightly that it takes your breath.
If our love was lingerie, it would be a see-through lace that would share everything while it still teasing the hell out of both parties.
If our love was lingerie, it'd be leather, thin strips of binding that could withstand a hundred years of war and peace, fights & love making. It would yield and give, yet never rip or break. It would be built to last, to wear forever.
If our love was lingerie, it would never come off.
If these quotes don't make you want to read this, nothing will. I debated how I wanted to review this story. This story is like nothing I have read before.
Trey & Kate are such powerful characters, yet together off the charts.
Treys' company, Marks Lingerie is struggling and he is in need of a new Creative Director. If he doesn't bring life back into his company-it's over.
Kate Martin is tired of being promised of this position where she is and this lands her into the office of Trey Marks for this position.
Again, I racked my brain to give this story such a great review in terms of words, but the words above me say it all.
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this story!!!!!

Well this was one of those reads that has everything wrapped up nicely into a fluffy ball of good ole angst-romance, then thrown at you at high speed when both do something you don't want them to do, then explodes into a gooey mess of lovey-dovey-ness when all is said and done and you sit back thinking, oh shit that would make a good film!
I bloomin loved Love In Lingerie, I visualised their story the whole way through, oh man when both did things I didn't want them to do, I was getting agitated, shocked, horrified and wanted to divorce them both! The promise (well hope) of all things good come to those who wait, kept me focused and 'in love' with both Trey and Kate. Even the secondary characters, (gah Trey's favourite pastime! And the women I wanted to slap (and him ocassionally lol) but these characters are necessary, they are there because of the character's traits, whether I liked them or not, Love in Lingerie would not have worked on the scale that it did without them.
The push/pull of staying friends and watching their jealousies was refreshing, To me this was a back to basics office love story, there was no bells and whistles, no curve balls (as such), no excessive drama, there were bucket loads of great writing and character building and relationship building that made this a top read. In other words all the ingredients for a great read and it was exactly that for me. It ticked all of my escapism boxes to take me out of the mundane and into a budding office romance, that of course wasn't going to be an easy ride.
I loved every single minute of it. I received Love in Lingerie to review and Alessandra yet again didn't disappoint, I am definitely a hardcore fan of whatever she writes, she does it with style, panaché and skill.

Sweet and oh so sexy, I could not put this book down. The chemistry between the two main characters is off the charts and I loved the slow burn of these two friends who progress into something more.
It is such a well-written story. The pacing, the suspense of their relationship in the balance, the angst and the love are such a perfect combination in this book and I absolutely loved reading every page.
I read everyone of Alessandra's books in one sitting. I always carve out time when she has a new release because I know I won't be able to stop reading once I start. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

I absolutely loved this book! Both Trey and Kate were attracted to each other from the start, but with Kate engaged and Trey having learned a harsh lesson about mixing business with pleasure, they were firmly in the employee/boss zone, but over time that slowly morphed to them becoming friends. Of course the attraction continues to build, until Kate learns the truth about Trey's proclivities when it comes to his sexual trysts. What I didn't particularly care for was how judgmental she was when he told her the truth. I realize it was shocking, but I had to agree with Trey when he questioned whether he could be with someone who was that quick to judge a person based what they like sexually.
I do wish the the revelation would have happened a bit sooner in the book, so we could have gotten more of Trey and Kate once they became a couple. But that wasn't enough to keep me from loving this book and it's one I definitely recommend.

"Baby Jesus in a manger. The man should be illegal."
I suggest reading Love in Lingerie in one sitting, otherwise you will lose your mind. It's so good, and as hot as the cover. However; much of the hotness is conveyed through the chemistry between the characters rather than actual events. The author strung me along, building and building and building the sexual tension until I was a hot mess. I could not put it down. Sleep was out of the question until I turned the last page, with a big smile on my face.
Trey & Kate are both very likable characters that kept me entertained with their witty banter. I wanted them to get together from the time of their first meeting when I felt the flames through my kindle. However; they both made it clear during that interview that it would never happen. It was a hard limit for Trey. He had been there, done that, and was still sweeping up the ashes of a relationship that convinced him to never make that mistake again. He was firm, in both his head and his trousers, every time he looked at Kate. Wanting her, but determined never to have her. But that didn't stop him from fantasizing about her, having her in his mind. And let me tell you, his thoughts alone will have you fanning yourself.
Kate didn't have the same negative experience to remind her of the rules. She forgot them every time he walked by her office. It was so distracting she had to rearrange her office furniture. She knew, that he knew, how she felt. But that didn't change anything. They would keep their hands to themselves and become the best of friends. Sharing everything, except their hearts. Not that their hearts weren't involved, but they weren't allowed to come out and play. They had to stay put, hidden, kept secret as they yearned for each other. But the sexual banter was let loose as they lusted after each other. Keeping the fire smoldering, but contained, trapped behind his fear of losing everything that was important to him. His company, and his best friend. It was too much to risk.
Both Kate and I were ready to throw something at her sexy boss on numerous occasions. He was so sexy. He was so bossy. He was perfect, but he was off limits. He was the subject of her fantasies on 'Wishful Wednesday' and every other day of the week too. She wanted him, but she knew she could never have him. Could she?
Not only was I thoroughly entertained by the characters and their friends-to-lovers journey, I was very drawn to the details of the lingerie business. Love in Lingerie is the full deal, ticking off all the boxes of what makes a good book. I was not ready for it to be over. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for whatever this author has for us next. The lines forms here...

Love in Lingerie is not your typical office romance, this was a slow burn, friends-to-lovers story; full of angst and emotion. Taking place over several years, the two main characters fall in love pretty much at first sight, but their journey is not an easy one. Trey is the owner of his lingerie company, and having been bitten once before, he refuses to risk both his business and his friendship by crossing the line from friends to something more with his Creative Designer, Kate.
I love a book with oodles of sexual tension, and this book had it in spades. The slow burn was quite unexpected but I welcomed it with open arms, I was so eager for this couple to move past all the obstacle's that came their way, and when it finally happened, I was in heaven.
A special mention goes to Kate, our heroine - she was a fantastically strong personality who wasn't afraid to face things head on, and even though she could be a bit naive at times, it only added to her charm.
Trey was adorable and created some swoon-worthy moments, although sometimes painful to watch how he pined after Kate, even when he was in other relationships.
Definitely my kind of book, a highly recommended read for lovers of angst and delayed HEA's.

I am a huge sucker for friends to lovers romance stories and this one certainly had me hooked.not your traditional friends to lovers in some way in how the main characters first get to know about each other. But it most certainly ticks the boxes for sexy romance the simmers along before boiling over and being scorching hot. I have read many of Alessandra’s men and some can be off the charts sexy and domineering to a degree with Trey though there is something smoother and still incredibly sexy and him. In addition Trey comes to life with the feisty Kate and she certainly has her hands full trying to resist his charms, and i would feel the same way too if i met a man like Trey. A very good read and kept my attention throughout

While a solid romance book, I know what Torre is capable of. Maybe this isn't the right subgenre for her, or me because I find her twisted romances her best work. Her ability to blow me away with last several volumes lets me know she has balls, but the last couple have felt soft and tame.
If this book was lingerie it would be bikini briefs. A little sexy, but still traditional with no frills.

4.5 "slow burn" stars!
Love in Lingerie by Alessandra Torre has heart, humor, and heaps of steam and I loved it. It's sexy, romantic, angsty, a little bit dirty, and oh, so good. The wonderfully paced story draws you in until you are completely invested in the fantastically well-developed characters. The steamy chemistry, crazy sexual tension, heart-aching angst, and emotional love made for an entertaining and addictive read that is easily a new favorite of mine.
Trey Marks owns Marks Lingerie and is desperate for a Creative Director who can help get his struggling company back on its feet. Enter Kate Martin. She hates her current job and is in need of a new one. One that will get her creative juices flowing. She just doesn't know that the man behind the desk would change her life completely.
He doesn't just reek of trouble. The damn man is dipped in temptation, the center of it all radiating out of those eyes.
When Kate gets the job, she fully is committed to saving his company. She proves she can handle whatever is thrown her way, including the attraction they can't deny. Acting on the pull that drives them crazy is out of the question so they enter into a friendship that will end up being everything to them. As they grow closer, the more they get to know each other the more they realize you can't judge a book by its cover.
Love in Lingerie is utterly delicious and I loved every bit of it, even when it hurt! The connection between Trey and Kate was breathtaking. The depth of their friendship and even deeper love was gorgeous. I loved the nature of their relationship and the banter was sensational and added a nice dose of humor. They were wonderful together and I loved how they showed their strengths and challenged each other.
If this woman was lingerie, she'd be black leather, with studs along the seams and enough of a dominatrix vibe to give a man pause.
If this woman was lingerie, I'd strip it off and then properly show her who was in charge.
Kate and Trey were also exceptional characters individually. I loved Kate. She was beautiful, smart, witty, and strong-willed. She was confident, irresistible, and instantly likable. She had a beautiful heart and I loved who she was as a person. Great at her job, Kate was exactly what Trey needed to turn the company around and I could vividly picture them working side by side.
Trey was fantastic. He is sweet, generous, and hard working. He is also sexy and gorgeous with a dirty mind and dirty mouth. I understand why Kate was hot for him, I was too. He knew who he was and owned his decisions. There were things about his life that could ruin their relationship from the start and I hated that he felt the need to keep secrets, but I understood it and think it all came out when it was supposed to.
He should have told me this. He should have told me this years ago, before I fell in love with him, before he injected his soul into my veins and I became addicted.
The attraction was there from the beginning and though their chemistry was scorching, it is slow burning and so well done. It's a forbidden romance that will have your emotions going crazy. There is so much pent up sexual tension pulsating from the pages, it makes your heart race, body tingle, and your breath hitch. It can also make you frustrated, desperately searching for relief. It was realistic and I could actually feel the tension with every interaction.
When a kiss waits for a thousand days, it erupts like a cyclone - a slow unfurling of lips, of tongues, hands ripping, clothes flying, hot swirls of breath met with a clash of frantic desire.
This story has its fair share of angst and heartache that is painful to watch and I literally cried for them. I ached for their happiness and in the end, the timing turned out to be perfect, just like the fireworks that filled my heart when they finally took the leap. The trust, acceptance, forgiveness and love healed my heart and made all the angst and drama of the past worth experiencing to find a love like theirs.
I have to comment on Trey's list...talk about swoon worthy! *sigh* The epilogue left me with happy tears streaking down my face and was a perfect ending to this emotional story.
I'd never believed in fairytales, but this man - he is my prince, my future, my everything.

Trey owns a troubled lingerie company in Los Angeles.
Kate is the creative director he hires to breathe life back into Marks Lingerie.
And during the next four years they do exactly that. Create new ideas for the company, sell a lot of underwear and make the brand successful again.
But they also fall for each other.
description
Trey promised himself he would never again start something with a colleague or an employee.
But being so close to Kate day after day.... it's hard not to.
They start out as strangers. Become friends. Then best friends.
But that's it ... right?
They can't risk the company for a few nights in bed...
But what if it's more than that? More than a few nights?
How about forever?
But will the company survive if they should ever break up?
And will Kate be ok with his kinky side?
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH KATE & TREY???
WILL THERE BE A HEA???
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!☺

Adorable!
I had absolutely no idea what to expect from this book.
The cover and blurb made the book seem so verrrry sexy and I was excited to get started.
And I really enjoyed reading it. I was done pretty fast, it's not all that long. But there's a lot in it.
But also not a lot. Gah, it's complicated. I can't explain what I mean....
Four years!!! It takes Trey and Kate four years to finally forget all about their fears and whatnots and take what they have wanted all along...
And I kind of liked that. The slooooooow build-up. The slow way they're getting to kow each other. Falling for each other. Secretly. Kind of. There's all this flirting and dirty talk and funny banter. And they also kind of know that they have feelings for each other. But that's it. Nothing more happens for years. They live their lives - there are boyfriends and girls. But through all those days, they're also falling for each other more and more every day.
This is such a huge but also very subtle love story.
I loved them both so much. Well, I loved Trey more. That's most often the case with me and characters. I'm not a fan of most females in books. But I really loved those two. Trey is so amazing.
description
I wish there would've been a bit more back-story and family-time with both of them....but it was ok the way it was.
• adorable • funny • serious • mature • subtly sexy •
Nothing like all those sexy New Adult things we get so often these days (I love them too) but this was soo different - so adultish! ☺
The whole book had this I'm-a-36-year-old-single-lady-drinking-champagne-at-an-art-gallery-in-Manhattan feel to it. No idea what I mean by that though.☺ It felt so grown-up somehow and artistic and beautiful and all this teasing sexiness....
I wanted to hit Kate & Trey over the head a few times. They wasted so much time with being stupid and grrrr... But they used that time to get to know one another. That's the perfect basis for a great relationship! ☺ I really enjoyed reading it!
LOVE IN LINGERIE was such a beautiful & sweet & different & teasingly erotic lovestory! Run to your nearest amazon for your own lingerie-company-owner-hottie! ☺
And btw. - if words on the pages of erotic romances were lingerie, I would want it to be a very tiny speedo on the guy I imagine as Trey ☺
If I had to find something about the story that I didn't like all that much...
it was a tiny little bit to subtle for my tastes. I was expecting a bit more sexiness. It's there, but too subtle and too late! Even though the whole book kind of IS sexiness in its purest form...but I wanted a tiny little bit more!
The story was also a bit short ... I think with another 100 pages of depth or just more story, more backgrounds, more excitement or action or kink ... it would've been more interesting! The whole book was a bit too subtle for me! ☺
But I think that's exactly what Alessandra wanted to write! It's definitely very beautiful!

Love In Lingerie is a deeply sensual erotic office romance that is weaved of the finest silk, class and sophistication. Alessandra Torre is the epitome of what every indie romance author hopes to be. With her smooth and heartfelt writing, she has readers like myself craving, wanting and needing more.
I can go on and write a review of what to expect but I won’t do that because this is one of those reads that has to be read. Readers need to feel the tension, the angst, the chemistry, and of course the slow burn love of Trey and Kate. This book beautifully blends heat, passion, friendship, and romance in a very tasteful and sexy manner. Like lingerie, this book entices readers to see the characters stripped in their raw and vulnerable form. Lingerie is supposed to be admired and boy oh boy did I find myself admiring and loving Alessandra’s ability to paint a literary canvas that was silky, smooth, and made of the finest lace. All there is left to say, Love In Lingerie is one deliciously sexy, tantalizing, and sweet love story. A must read and one of my reads of 2017!

Trey is the owner of Marks Lingerie. He has a strict policy that he doesn't sleep with his employees.
Kate joins the team at Marks Lingerie. There is some sexual tension between the too. They sometimes have this love hate thing going on. They become good friends but you still know they want each other in a more than friendship way. I kept wondering if they were even going to get together. Both Kate and Trey are interesting characters that kept me hooked. I loved at the end of some chapters we lingerie reference, like "If this night were lingerie, it'd be a leopard print satin set. Trashy and destined for ridicule." I loved those references and it made me want to go lingerie shopping. This one was a fun sexy read.

Absolutely loved this book! I was just saying to a friend that we need more “slow-burn” stories and Love In Lingerie” completely fits that bill.
If you enjoy romances with lots of sexual tension then this book is for you. I personally loved it! This is one of those stories that I wouldn’t mind reading over and over again.

LOVE IN LINGERIE is SEXY. EROTIC. And BEAUTIFUL. Trey hires intelligent and sassy Kate Martin to help save Marks Lingerie from its downward spiral, what he doesn't expect is to find a best friend, a friend who would become so much more. The problem is, Trey doesn't date staff, he certainly wouldn't date a friend and risk her finding out the truth of his desires for fear it may all be too much. The story arc develops over a trajectory of four years depicting an addictive and sexy friends- to-lovers dynamic high on sexual tension showcasing the nature of their attraction towards each other, toggling between HIM and HER perspectives that perfectly present their inner thoughts and feelings.
An erotic romance simmers through the pages with a slow burn that blossoms into the most beautiful love story. I LOVED every moment of the smartly written sassy narrative with its punchy chapters, sometimes punctuated with a cute lingerie analogy that never failed to make me smile. The pure sex appeal of the hero enamoured me, pulled me into his world making me understand his motivations, his desires and all his reasons why.
The transition of time and development of the protagonist’s relationship is perfectly paced with authentic sounding dialogue, thought patterns and actions. There are moments that made me laugh out loud, moments that warmed my heart, highly HOT moments that warmed other places and the perfect number of beautiful moments where I rooted for this couple to develop from friends to lovers. The slow burn of their romance tore through my reading heart.
Sexy, sweet, a little bit cheeky and a whole lot naughty is such a wonderful combination in an erotic romance and the fact this story became a friends-to-lovers made it an extra special and enjoyable reading experience. There are no surprises as to the final destination of this novel, as a reader I felt totally safe I'd be left feeling content. What is unique and totally mesmerising is the execution of the storytelling which has a refreshing and creative approach. The way the

Him and Her. Trey and Kate. Co-workers and best friends who Alessandra Torre crafts into a delicious couple in this friends to lovers story. I read this story is one fell swoop, meaning I lost almost a full night of sleep but I was glad for the sacrifice. Trey and Kate worked their way into my heart and I simply needed to see how they worked through the many roadblocks of a them.
Love in Lingerie is perfectly paced, showing the initial spark between boss (Trey) & employee (Kate) and how that relationship shifts into a unique and beautiful friendship. But there's an undercurrent, an atmosphere of intense sexual attraction between them that is tested and put to the side. Usually I have an affinity for one characters or the other, but in this case I adore Trey and Kate equally. There is really no doubt how much they love each other giving us that angsty component. They both work to have romantic relationships with others and simultaneously burying their own jealousy and the fear of losing a place in each others lives.
Any read from Alessandra is a sure thing but what really stands out for me is the way she develops their friendship. As well, anything by Alessandra is going to be HOT and with Trey and Kate trying to avoid the draw between them, it's an especially sultry read. The heat between them is undeniable but there is simply too much to lose if things don't work out, but it's up them to work out the risk versus reward factor as they do with flair! 5 Stars and recommendation!

4.5 Stars!
“My boss stepped into my car in a bathrobe.”
How many of us can say that about our jobs? Kate is having a great start to her new job as a creative designer of an independent lingerie company, and add to that the bonus of her sexy-as-all-get-out boss sitting commando in her passenger seat with only a terry cloth robe separating him and the seat. Oops…too bad Kate is engaged; otherwise she could probably do a little hanky panky on the side. Oops…again too bad that her boss strictly enforces the no fraternization policy in his company. A lesson he has learned the hard way. (I seriously didn’t even mean that as a pun.)
Who is this sexy boss? His name is Trey Marks. He started his own lingerie company years ago but has come across dire times. He is hoping that Kate can save his company with fresh ideas. At the beginning, he did not care for her ideas what with the firing of several of his long-time employees, but he began to see her reasoning. In fact, Trey eventually relies on Kate for more than business – she becomes his best friend.
Kate and Trey have a friendship that is truly one in a million. They have so many good times, late nights, drunk conversations, and extremely comfortable with one another. There’s also the added bonus of HOT CHEMISTRY between them. Holy smokes. They could light up wet kindle with the sexual tension flowing between them.
The man is a complete tease. He flirts like a teenage boy, then walks away and leaves me panting.
Oh, but there’s one little issue between them – keeping each other from crossing the line…Kate’s fiancée. That still doesn’t stop Trey from imagining the impossible.
“There’s not anything on Earth I want as badly as you. I’d love to know if the chemistry that we have…if it could be how I imagine it.”
And here’s the thing with Trey and Kate…They are such good friends, he could say that to her and the next day they would be back to being best friends…as if a bomb had not been dropped on them. But there’s more wreckage to salvage because believe it or not, not everything is perfect in Trey and Kate’s world. There’s that little thing about an engagement looming between them and also a secret that Trey has kept hidden from Kate.
I’ve lost her. I can see it in her eyes, in the tremble of her voice, in the questions that she asks. Maybe I should have lied. Maybe I should have muted the truth. Maybe then, she wouldn’t be looking at me as if I am a monster…
Remember those signs we used to see in stores…”If you break it, you buy it.” With all the money that Kate has made Trey, it’s possible there isn’t enough money in the world to fix the broken trust. Trey is going to have his work cut out for him.
I loved this story. I love stories involving mature adults – Trey being 38 fills this quota. I also love stories that span a good time frame; I am not a fan of insta-love. This was a fun romantic comedy with so much hotness being emitted from the pages. They weren’t even together having sex and I was fanning myself. Their sexual chemistry was sky high! So many times I feel sexual attraction is forced between characters. This was not forced. I found this to be a fun, easy read with plenty of laugh out loud moments. This was a light read still packed with plenty of drama.
