Love In Lingerie was AMAZING! Dual POV is my favorite type of story to read, and a slow-burn friends-to-lovers book will always rise to the top of my TBR. And once I started this one, I could not put it down. It's amazing how my insomnia comes back full force when I am in the middle of a good book! Maybe it's not insomnia, huh? And bonus: I FINALLY know how to spell lingerie. Ha!

Trey and Kate's relationship had many things: a strictly-business relationship that progressed to a best-friendship, but also SO MUCH CHEMISTRY and ROMANTIC TENSION! Over something like 4 years! That's what kept me reading.... wondering, when are these two going to get past their secrets and angst????? The writing was just effortless- Alessandra can write a believable story and make it funny, serious, and sexy all at the same time. Love love love this book!

This is my first Alessandra Torre’s book I read, I am very glad I requested it. it took me just one read of a post teaser to knew that I want it.

This book is so sexy as the lingeries that are produce in Marks Lingerie, just check that HAWT cover and let me tell you that the story is burning HOT.

This is a friends to love story, forbidden office romance, a story with a spectacular writing that will captivated until the final page.

Trey Marks owns Mark Lingeries, he is struggling to save his company, the story starts with him interviewing Kate Martin for the position of creative director. Since the interview Trey found her interesting and was very attracted to her, lucky him she had a ring on her finger so she was off limits. Kate was hoping she can get this position, she needed a change, it’s a plus that Trey Mark is that HOT, even though he mentioned her that he doesn’t cross lines like f*cking his employees.

Kate got the job and they were focused on saving Marks Lingerie, they built a very strong friendship, and create the most amazing lingerie line that will make the company be on track again. Trey was proud of the work Kate has done, even though they disagree most of the time, he learnt to trust her. Even though he was not “satisfied” in the sexual department, the sexual frustration was palpable, he wants her but he didn’t want to jeopardize his empire.

Alessandra make us FEEL the story, within the following pages, I was kinda confused, as the story develops I wasn’t sure how these two characters will end together, there was too many obstacles, two many reasons why they can’t be together, I was struggling myself, worried for them. Trey was worried for his business but at the same time he fell hard for Kate. And both continues with their lives ignoring the love that they feel for each other.

There is an important issue that involves Trey’s lifestyle (or sex style) that Kate won’t think possible to accept (I wouldn’t either) but you have to keep reading to know the amazing ending that Alessandra gave us.

I can’t remember being so worried about a book before, the struggling was real, sometimes full of agony. I was desperate to know how things will end and I couldn’t put my kindle down, I was very hooked with this story.

It’s refreshing to have a book like this, because once all the concern was gone I got very satisfied how things ends. If you like reading slow burn romance that is so well written and well paced, this book is for you. I highly recommended it.

Holy sexual tension, Batman! This book you guys!!!!!! It's filled with intense sexual tension and has a long, slow burn. Sheesh. Be prepared. This book is sooooo good! I loved how we got both of their perspectives throughout the book. And when a books starts out with, "Some men reek of trouble. Trey Marks is one of those men." the reader knows it's going to be good! The banter between Trey and Kate was seriously delicious. However, they are nothing more than friends. He's trying to save his business and even though he wants her, he does nothing to upset their work dynamic and their friendship. Kate is engaged to be married and enjoys her work and getting to know Trey. They get along really well and I loved the internal dialogue we, the reader, see as well. They might say one thing, but know what they're really thinking and that's even better! And because they work for a lingerie company, Trey quietly tells the reader what he thinks about her/them in terms of lingerie. This book is HOT! I couldn't put this book down and devoured it every minute I could. I was cheering them on and wrapping myself in Alessandra's words! One-click this book and meet your newest book boyfriend, Trey!

Alessandra Torre's books are always so different. That's why I love reading them.

When I started Love in Lingerie, I thought I knew the plot. A love story involving a forbidden relationship at the workplace. Boy, was I wrong!

Kate Martin is applying for a new job. She's smart, creative and has great instincts in regards to lingerie. She knows she could make Marks Lingerie a success. She was not counting on feeling attracted to the owner of the company, Trey Marks. This could complicate her life. After all, she's already engaged.

Trey Marks is trying to stop his company from going into the red. He needs new blood and Kate seems to be the perfect applicant for it. Yet, he shouldn't feel tempted towards her. He shouldn't care that she's already engaged and he shouldn't want to get to know her better. His business should be his first and only concern. Then, why is risking it all?

This book was hot but also there was a sweetness surrounding the attraction between these two characters. They tried to fight their attraction from the moment they met. Then, slowly they became friends and despite falling for each other, they thought the company and their personal misgivings were going to interfere with their relationship. The build up was a killer. As the reader, you knew they belonged together. It drove me nuts to see them making mistakes and pushing each other away. But, no worries, Alessandra made sure it was worth the wait.

Shel: We've been reading Alessandra Torre books for almost 4 years now and it's no surprise that we've enjoyed every single thing we've read; Love in Lingerie continues this streak. The thing I think I love about this novel, and, frankly, Alessandra Torre is that she still manages to give us something new. For instance when I saw the synopsis for this book, I made assumptions about Trey and Kate and while some of those ideas I had were correct, so many were wrong. Trey was way more than the token alpha male I thought he'd be and Kate's character held a few surprises for me too--I think she's one of the most conservative minded heroines Torre has written...ever? or at least in a while. Even more surprising was how long Torre had these two burn for each other and not really do anything about it other than pine for each other; this was the slow burn to end all slow burns and you know what? It really worked. The build up between these two from the beginning to the ending was interesting--the rebuilding of a company that coincided with the building of a relationship--and rather than feeling anxious or annoyed that things weren't happening quicker, I found that I enjoyed their banter, their observations, and how they grew to know and trust each other; it made the ending that much better. Court: We really got to connect with the characters, or at least Kate. I felt that we didn't get *as much* of Trey as I would've liked...but that's just me wanting each book Alessandra writes to go on for thousands of pages and never stop. That's how invested I am in the story, and was so sad when the end drew near. I really enjoyed the characters, and the lingerie company, and how they worked together was a lot of fun. The writing of this book is flawless, and the characters - even when being entirely frustrating - are keeping things interesting enough to keep you right there with 'em the entire time. I agree that it was a slow burn that just about killed me...but it was one that kept me reading this book straight through and not giving a care that I had other things that I needed to do yesterday.

Shel: We know by now that Alessandra Torre is never going to give us the same story twice--just look at her backlist of novels--and so it's always a delight to open the first page of one of her novels to see where's she going to take us next. Court: Trey (such a great name for him, honestly) is also a delight, so I agree Shelley. I had a lot of fun reading this, and hope that you all pick it up too. The cover is hot, the characters are hotter...and they really make you work for it. But...Alessandra's writing makes it 100% worth it!

Knowing your business is struggling is not an easy thing to deal with. For Trey Marks - the dire situation his company is presented with has him looking for a new Creative Director. After interviewing plenty of job applicants, Trey finally settles on the hiring Kate Martin. As the two begin the task of rebuilding Marks Lingerie, a friendship builds that neither could have expected.

Days spent going over the latest design that will pull Marks Lingerie out of the red lead to long nights. During those times, Trey and Kate learn what makes the other ‘tick’. Making sure to never blur the line that exists between a boss and his employee. As the newfound success of their venture hits the shelves, neither can help wondering what would happen if they took their attraction to one another a bit more seriously.

Love in Lingerie was one of the top books on my radar for 2017! When the cover landed on my reader….I couldn’t wait to dive in. What I read….well - it reminded me of something I wasn’t really prepared for. How do I describe it?

Think about the most decadent dessert you can imagine. Now close yours eyes as you anticipate the warm gooey chocolate that is coating that three layer Better Than Sex cake. When you think about biting into this cake that you have waited so long for, the anticipation makes your mouth water. All that delectable chocolate that teases you. Then you take that long overdue bite. Sounds delicious….until what you actually taste is Angel Food Cake. Still a great cake on its own, but not the creamy, chocolate decadence you were expecting. A slight of hand that results in a huge disappointment after that first taste. Can you imagine it? That is what I felt when I finished Love in Lingerie.

If you follow my reviews then you KNOW how crazy I am about Alesandra Torre’s books. Each one and adventure to remember. Various genres that never fail to disappoint me….until this book. With all the hype about a ‘slow build’ romance that screams ‘sexy office romance’ I couldn’t wait to dive in. After all - Erotica is my favorite genre, and Love in Lingerie was touted to fill that bill. Add to that the mentions of lingerie, and my mind was whirling with what I could expect.

What I discovered what a story that fell a bit flat in the beginning. A contradiction of the character building as it is described. Some sporadic events/things that are placed in the early stages of the chapters that really don’t have any bearing on the story or the plot development. This ‘slow building romance’ really is two people just working together. Their time together leads to something more, but don’t expect it until 85% into the book. A romance that really didn’t hold the ‘magic’ of what I define as ‘slow burning’.

Don’t get me wrong….I am not saying the book is ‘bad’. It just doesn’t hold the flair, creativity of plot, or enthralling twists that readers know to expect from Alessandra’s books. No matter which genre the author tackles, she has always had a flair for unique storytelling. Love in Lingerie just fell short of that expected unique quality for me. Love in Lingerie is a ‘simple’ romance that began thanks to a sexy lingerie business. A quick read that gives you that ‘feel good’ quality one would expect from a modern romance.

3-3.5 stars

Love in Lingerie promised to deliver on a trope I favour, office romance. When written well, office connections can be intense and thrilling. The office context is cleverly constructed and underpins the story well. The significant timeline for this story is a real strength, the long haul being the focus.

The connection between the MCs Trey and Kate was definitely intense. I devoured their story initially but as the story progressed I did become a little frustrated with a repetitive back and forth and a lack of courage from these two. However, I enjoyed their friendship and their misfires on the journey. I'm a fan of the slow burn so that element was a definite plus. The tension between Kate and Trey was ever-present and I couldn't help but be compelled by their story. The secret between them underwhelmed me however, and I longed for a Torre-twist.

I liked this book but I didn't love it. Because I'm a Alessandra Torre fan in every genre she's written, I have expectations and this one didn't wholly meet mine. I found it light in flavour and I wanted more from the couple. That said, it delivers on a light contemporary romance that is a short-ish, sexy read.

A copy of is book was provided by the author in return for an honest review.

I love when my expectations gets blown to smithereens. That's exactly what Alessandra Torre did with Love in Lingerie. I went into this story expecting a fun romance and sizzling hot chemistry between the main characters. Well I got that and so much more. A hundred percent more. I got blown away by this very well developed and wonderfully paced story with fabulous characters.

The main characters Kate and Trey were beautifully written and flawed in their own way. Kate was my kind of woman. She was down to earth, humbled and secure in her own sexuality and skills regarding her work as a creative director. Trey was just as amazing as Kate. He's had his share of women but always treated them with respect. He's very dedicated to his company Marks Lingerie. I was very intrigued by him because he had his secrets and also had his struggles with his company. I had a crush on both Kate and Trey. Both individually and together did they show strength and vulnerability.

This wasn't just about forbidden romance because they worked together. No, it was how a friendship was built and grew into something more. Their friendship was phenomenal because of their chemistry but also because they became each other's best friend. The pace and development of their friendship was flawlessly written and explored, that I felt their hesitation, fear and love they had for taking the next step into a relationship.
Their chemistry was delicious and intense. The push and pull, the flirting between them only showed how crazy attracted and in love they were with one another.
The epilogue was fantastic and my admiration for this story only grew. What a perfect end to a mesmerizing story.

Alessandra Torre can create anything with words. Her prose is poignant and feels effortless. She can surprise me, make me swoon and literally make my head and heart hurt because of the twists and turns. Love In Lingerie gave me all of these emotions and I enjoyed every one them. Definitely 5 star worthy.

Love in Lingerie is a friends-to-lover romance like no other I’ve read. The writing is crisp. The dialogue is genuine. The story is filled with fun and flirtation as Kate Martin helps Trey Marks save Marks Lingerie—a boutique lingerie house. The chemistry and attraction is undeniable but Trey has sworn off intimacy with employees after a previous crash and burn experience.

Kate wants more from her career, and she goes after a bigger job at a different company. Can she shake up the design team at Marks Lingerie enough to turn around Trey’s company? She’s pretty, straight-lace, and focused. She looks for stability in her men, but yearns for the passion and excitement that men like Trey imply in every comment they make. Too bad he strictly sticks by his no-fraternization policy!

Trey is the perfect spokesman for a lingerie company. He oozes sensuality. His commanding personality influences employees, buyers, and consumers alike. I loved that he readily admitted his attraction to Kate instead of the usual denial that you find in most friends-to-lovers novels. I adored that he developed an equal working relationship and solid friendship with Kate.

Ms. Torre takes her time developing both characters and their solid friendship. It was a joy to read a romance that is years in the making. She gave her characters develop sincere admiration and affection for one another as they work together to not only save Marks Lingerie but grow the business beyond Trey’s imagination. I loved Kate and Trey’s flirty banter, but the angsty double dates are to-die-for! The games they play to try to prove their disinterest in one another depict the pair’s underlying feeling for each other.

This fast-paced reads gets scorchingly hot in the last third of the book. Ms. Torre takes the PG-13 office flirtation all the way to NC-17 as all that pent-up desire is finally realized. I definitely had a “is it hot in here” moment or two! In a lovely change of pace, Ms. Torre doesn’t end her story there. She takes her readers a few years into the future and provides the perfect continuation of Trey and Kate’s budding romance. Love in Lingerie ends with a perfect HEA epilogue that will melt your heart! Trey and Kate ultimately fill all the missing pieces in each other’s life, and their story satisfied a need for a sweet but sexy read for me. I’ll definitely re-read this book!

Love in Lingerie is the latest standalone novel from Alessandra Torre. The story is a friends-to-lovers romance about Trey Marks, owner of Marks Lingerie, and his newly hired creative director Kate Martin. Marks Lingerie is hanging on by a thin wire. Trey doesn’t want to lose his company and is looking for new ideas. Kate comes from a dead-end position that she starts to hate to one with Marks that is her dream job.

Trey and Kate have chemistry from their first meeting. There is a lot of flirting. However, Marks’ human resources rules forbid dating among employees. Trey knows the danger from a former liaison that went bad. Instead of going down the dating path, Trey and Kate become good friends. The dialogue between these two characters is often funny and light. There are moments of angst and pain, and there are moments that are Hot!

What I Like:

The Characters:

“If our relationship was lingerie, it’d be fur-lined handcuffs, latched around you, the key lost, escape impossible.”

The characters are fascinating from the beginning. Trey is a man who can get a woman to drop her panties (or buy Marks lingerie) with one of his beautiful smiles. He is also a man of mystery. He has secrets that he doesn’t want to share about his bedroom kink with Kate because he fears she will think badly of him. Trey values their friendship, and the working relationship is perfect.

Kate is a smart, career driven woman with a good heart. She wants the dream job, and Kate wants Trey until she realizes early on that his no fraternizing rule will not bend. The rule doesn’t keep her from fantasizing, though. She knows her job and doesn’t have a problem standing up to Trey when she wants to push her ideas through. They are the perfect work partners.

The Story:

Love in Lingerie is a story that spans four years in the life of these two characters. It is told in the alternating point of view of the main characters. These two work together to bring the company back to life all the while a solid friendship grows. The sexual attraction is always present even when they both fight it. The affection and respect they have for one another personally and professionally grows over time.

Ms. Torre does an excellent job of taking this couple from friends to lovers. It is quite the journey that is realistic and lovely with a little pain thrown in for good measure. The reader is smack dab in the middle of the events as they unfold. All the fun, success, struggles, heartbreak, and joy is experienced with the characters. The book is fast paced and packed full of character development.
"If you want me to fuck you, Kate, just say the word. Don’t ever be confused over whether I want that. There’s not anything on Earth I want as badly as you. I’d love to know if the chemistry that we have…if it could be how I imagined it."
What I didn’t Like:

Nothing! I loved it all from beginning to end.

Love in Lingerie is on my list of Alessandra Torre favorites. (Honestly all her books are on my list of favorites, but that’s another post.) She added a couple of surprise twists that made me take a deep breath and occasionally panic while waiting for what will happen next. The ending is perfectly satisfying. Love in Lingerie is a must read for all fans of friends to lovers/office romance hot, adorable and captivating tales.

4 ‘Our Lingerie Love’ Stars!
ARC provided by the author via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Alessandra always manages to surprise me! She is one of my favorite authors and with that comes always having several expectations on her new releases. Well, Love in Lingerie was definitely more than I expected! Continuing with her magnificent writing style, Alessandra Torre gives a new meaning to a slow burn romance.

Love in Lingerie is a standalone novel and let’s just say it’s so much more than a friends-to-lovers love story. This book presents Trey Marks, the owner of Marks Lingerie, and Kate Martin, his newest creative director. The sparks start flying since the beginning but many obstacles are in the way between these two. The first obstacle is Trey himself and his rule of “never touch an employee”.

If this woman was lingerie, I’d strip it off and then properly show her who is in charge.

Holy hell, what a journey with this book! As always, Alessandra Torre does not fail with her sexy love stories, full of twists and secrets. Love in Lingerie was what I expected (in terms of sexiness) but not what I expected (in terms of the actual relationship between the main couple). Trey and Kate become friends, even though they want each other, and Alessandra managed to give us a love story that is full of steam, especially with the slow burn between Kate and Trey.

My company needs her.
I need her.
And, unfortunately, so does my cock.
And that right there, is how things fall apart.

My favorite thing about this book (besides the final chapters) was Kate herself. I love strong heroines, I love women who stand for what they believe in and do not mince their words. I have to say, to me a heroine like Kate was completely necessary because sometimes I struggled with Trey’s behavior/decisions. Even though, I really enjoyed the story as a whole, I have to admit, those mixed messages, those other people always in the mix and Trey’s “secret” did not sit very well with me.

“If you want me to fuck you, Kate, just say the word. Don’t ever be confused over whether I want that. There’s not anything on Earth I want as badly as you. I’d love to know if the chemistry that we have… if it could be how I imagine it.”

Now, leaving that aside, Love in Lingerie does not fail in terms of chemistry and sexiness, that I can assure you! Yeah, I found the slow burn amazing (even though sometimes I thought it was too much, I just wanted them to be together! lol) and when the sex finally happened between Trey and Kate.. absolutely fucking explosive! I loved when they finally admit their feelings and I loved the ending SO MUCH!

If our love was lingerie, it would never come off.

Therefore, my rating for Love in Lingerie is 4 STARS because I really enjoyed the ride that I got while reading this book! It was definitely different from what I expected but still with Alessandra Torre’s outstanding writing and deep characters. If you are a fan of her novels, you totally have to check this one out!

If the relationship that Trey and Kate build in the story was lingerie, it would start as a negligee, leaving more to the imagination than not; it would then transition to a corset, slowly revealing some of their assets, but still holding parts securely in place due to circumstances and fears, and then, finally, when everything has been stripped away, the lingerie would simply be a G-string because at the end, it’s more about ripping away the final obstacle holding them both back from taking what they’ve wanted since their first meeting.

Love in Lingerie is so much more than an office romance…it’s so much more than a friends to lovers storyline, and it’s not because of Trey’s views on interoffice relationships, nor the sexual tension that resonates off of every page when Trey and Kate are present, nor is it the fact that Kate has someone else in her life, but what makes Trey and Kate’s story enthralling, addictive, and must read is the fluidity of their relationship and the unknowing steps that are taken to solidify a bond between them…one where their connection becomes less about saving Marks Lingerie and more about being who the other person needs in every facet of their life.

Alessandra Torre, once again, overwhelms me with her flawless writing and the masterful creation of her characters. Trey and Kate are deeply complex characters, which makes them not easy to read, so hearing the ups and downs of their relationship as well as their thoughts and feelings about one another in their own words allows readers to truly understand the decisions Trey and Kate make in regards to not acting on their feelings and the constant state of desire they feel in each other’s presence, which then makes the build up of their longing and need that much more orgasmic towards the end of the story.

Love in Lingerie is so much more than readers will think it is just by reading the blurb, which is exactly the kind of stories I adore!

Trey and Kate’s story is a definite must-read!

4.5 Poison Apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)

Holy wow, AT sure knows how to write some hot books! Ms. Torre took a unique twist on the usual erotica novels with Love in Lingerie and made it something teasingly sexy.

Trey Marks is a man with far from simple needs, he needs his company to not go under, he needs Kate to help him get his business profitable, and he needs to not want to bend her over his desk. She's off limits to him since she's his employee and more than that, not suited to him sexually. But the closer they get the harder it is for him to leave his hands off of her and soon he's forgetting why he should only be undressing her in his fantasies.

Reading about Kate and Trey was like reading one big seduction. It will caress your mind with slow and teasing strokes of sexual tension until you're on the brink of insanity, and then it will push you over into sheer bliss. They're two people that want each other so bad they could scream but are each unable to obtain the object of their affection, but that doesn't stop the heated glances or the slow touches.

I'm not a big fan of books that take a long time for the main characters to get together but with Love in Lingerie I had no issue with that fact that Kate and Trey didn't officially get together until near the end. There was so much chemistry between them throughout the whole book that it made it more than okay. I actually ended up loving that theirs was more of a friends-to-lovers type of story since even as friends Kate and Trey had an amazing connection that was also sexy as hell.

There's also a few twists that are thrown in about Trey that I wasn't expecting, but I really loved them. I feel like he had a complicated past but it made him very intriguing and a great Hero to read about. He also suited Kate perfectly, where she was a little timid about certain things Trey was the complete opposite and helped her open up and discover things out of her comfort zone. They were just perfect together and I loved them both.

The bottom line is that this is a book you absolutely need to read. I couldn't get enough of these characters and their story had me up all night unable to put my Kindle down until I got to their climax. It readdressed all the reasons I'm such a big fan of this author and reminded me why I love her writing so much.

Love in Lingerie is a forbidden love story/a friends to lovers romance at it’s finest. If you’re like me and love a drawn out romance- Alessandra creates the most delicious slow burn and sexual tension between Trey and Kate. This book enamored me from the start. It has the perfect amount of angst and the plot has just a touch of mystery in it. I just loved everything about it.

Trey Marks first meets Kate Martin when she is applying to be the creative director of his business. He desperately needs the help, and even though he is immensely attracted to her, he won’t go there. He has rules and not messing around with someone he works with is one of them. At first these two butt heads, but soon enough they become friends. Trey and Kate work together and spend free time together, too. Their friendship becomes closer and their is always that attraction lingering right below the surface. It’s apparent both want more with the other, but things are holding them back. What about their friendship? The company? Trey’s secrets? It had me wondering if these two would ever make their way to one another…

Trey is one of those character who was a bit complicated, but my god. He loved Kate something fierce. There is nothing I love more in a book then when I can truly feel the love rolling off my hero. I could feel how much he loved her with every thought he had. I can’t imagine how difficult it was for him to stay away from her, but Trey always wanted to do what was best for Kate.

He wanted to protect her heart and her feelings. Kate felt that attraction for Trey from their first meeting, but the more she truly got to know him, it became so much more. With becoming such close friends, she go to see his heart.

Alessandra’s writing always blows me away. I love how descriptive it is, how her characters are always complex and her story lines are always intricate. Love In Lingerie really hit the spot for me.

OFF the CHARTS sexual tension! Wow. This was definitely a different avenue in my experience with Alessandra's writing. Trey Marks and Kate Martin start off as coworkers. Kate is the Creative Director for Trey's floundering lingerie brand, Marks Lingerie. Kate comes in with her energy and creative mind and turns things around.

"He doesn't just reek of trouble. The damn man is dipped in temptation, the center of it all radiating out of those eyes."

I wasn't expecting such a slow burn for LiL. Kate and Trey's story spans over YEARS and it's fabulous! This book isn't long by any means, but their tension, friendship, and banter are so volatile and perfect, it really makes for perfection when the other shoe drops and they both get their heads together.

"If this woman was lingerie, I'd strip it off and then properly show her who is in charge."

With that being said, I do feel that this story could have been longer. There could have been a lot more detail in their story throughout the years of their relationship leading up to their HEA. I did want to read more about Trey and Kate's love and relationship before reading THE END.

"If your love was lingerie, it'd be a corset, one laced so tightly that it takes your breath."

Overall, I really enjoyed Love in Lingerie. It was super sexy and fun and truly kept me guessing about when they would actually get together!

THE COVER! I AM SCREAMING.... the cover is seriously hot and reflects perfectly for everything this book is. It's just gorgeous. Alessandra has to be one of the best writers that I love to read. I devour her words like they're just going to disappear if I don't read them fast enough.

I never thought I'd feel as much as I felt during this read! I thought Trey would be this cocky business man with a supersized ego, I mean, working in women's lingerie... but boy was I wrong.

"Baby Jesus in a Manger. The man should be illegal."

He is definitely cocky but he's also smart and sweet. I was surprised at his feelings 80% of the time. I think I probably related to him more than Kate, which is a first for me. I can't even describe it I just felt what he felt for Kate. He wanted her so bad, damned if she was meant for anyone else.

If our relationship was lingerie, it'd be fur-lined handcuffs, latched around you, the key lost, escape impossible."

The chemistry between the two is undeniable. The forbidden office romance, the angst of all the double dates as time goes by. Somehow it always ends up just Trey and Kate with their cute, flirty, sometimes highly inappropriate banter. Not to mention how flawless the two of them are working together, they make a great team. Trey and his business would truly be screwed without Kate.

If our love was lingerie, it'd be leather, thin strips of binding that could withstand a hundred years of war and peace, fights and love-making."

Slow burning friendship... high sexual tension... ends with a fire, literally smokin' hot!

My rating: 4/5 stars

So this is the second book that I have read by Alessandra Torre. I enjoyed the storyline but it didn't capture my heart the way “Moonshot” did. Don't get me wrong it was well written but it just didn't work for me. I just didn't feel the connection between the characters. I mean the sexual tension between the two are hot but that feeling I get when reading a book never happened.

Majority of the book is a push and pull, will they or won't they type read between Trey and Kate. Trey is Kate's boss and doesn't want to cross the line even though he is attracted to her. As the book progress they each toe the line of their attraction to each other and you could feel the sexual tension between the two. I feel that this book would have worked better for me if the couple had more time together as a couple.I prefer a slow burn and don't mind waiting for the two main characters to get together but when it finally happens towards the end of the book it's kind of a letdown. I think if the book was longer and we had more time with them as a couple I would have enjoyed the story much better. Even though this book didn't blow me away like “Moonshot” I will definitely check out more books by this author.

Kate Martin is a beautiful woman living in Los Angeles, California. She's in a relationship with a man she's absolutely bored with & working in a job she hates. Needing a change she interviews for a job at Marks Lingerie. She loves women's fashion, but her passion is undergarments. Kate is interviewed by the delicious owner Trey Marks.

Trey needs a new Creative Director. He is looking to hire someone to help him save his sinking company. Sales have been declining, & he's barely making payroll. He thinks Kate just might be the one to help him revitalize the brand & make Marks Lingerie great again.

Trey & Kate work closely & he soon realizes his company needs her. She's full of fire & believes in Marks Lingerie. They work side by side, working long nights and traveling together. They make a great team. As their attraction grows, so does the extreme sexual tension between them. Trey has strict rules when it comes to his employees. They are off limits. He doesn't want to risk his company or his friendship with Kate by getting personal.

Kate can't ignore the chemistry she feels every time she's in the same room with her beautiful boss. They share a love for the company & have also become best friends. They've grown to care deeply for one another, but neither are willing to act on their feelings. He's become this seductive unattainable man she's desperate for.

Trey falls hard for Kate & has to decide if he's willing to ditch the rules to have her. He is in agony every time he's near her & cant touch her. When they finally come together it's explosive. It's a slow burn, but so worth the wait.
