Awesome premise. I think I went into this one expecting spectacular because of all the hype. Good read, not as great as I hoped.

So many people recommended Ragdoll (Detective William Fawkes #1) by Daniel Cole. It just wasn't for me. I found this book confusing and there was no flow with it.
Very disappointed read as some many readers were raving about it!
I read a few chapters, put it down and went back to it.......Still not for me.
Shame as I love these kinds of book and then deleted it from my kindle.

I hate leaving a poor review.....So I had to purchase the Audiobook of Ragdoll by Daniel Cole Narrated by Andrew Wincott. It took me a while to get into it and Luckily I was crocheting a blanket, surprisingly I enjoyed it So I am glad I gave it a second chance. Now to the second book within this series..........

This book is huge!

The cover of the book adds to the mysterious, murderous vibes of the book itself.
I can't really find the words to describe this book other than se7en!
Absolute pleasure reading this exciting, thrilling, addicting book. I was left with a severe book hangover.

I really enjoyed this book I loved how it was like a cat and mouse chase. It was fast paced I enjoyed the storyline was easy to put down and pick back up again and could easily get back in to the story did get a bit confused with the amount of characters there was. Can't wait to read the next book.

I didn't realize this was only a sample of the book when I got it. I might have liked this book, but I only received a sample and not the entire book. I'm not interested in reading only a sample.

I downloaded a Sampler for Ragdoll from NetGalley and then read the book as a Traveling Sister Group read with Norma, Kaceey and Kendall.

Ragdoll gives a new meaning to the term shock effect for me as I was left pretty shocked at times reading this one. I felt overwhelmed and underwhelmed with this one and sometimes things did not add up for me.

Daniel Cole paces this race against time story at lightning speed using shocking, unexpected and gruesome scenes to drive the plot that left me thinking what just happened at times. Things started moving so fast for me I couldn’t keep up at times and I missed a few things to this story.

I loved the dynamics between the team of detectives and they had me laughing out loud with their humor. This took away some of the tension to the story and gave me a chance to breathe between those shocking moments.

Overall this was a good read and I really enjoyed reading with my Traveling Sisters who helped me piece some of the missing pieces together for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Orion Publishing for sample that inspired me to read the full copy.

Six victims, one body.

This is an exceptional and spine-tingling sampler, it had me absolutely desperate for the book release!

Wow.
Wowsers!
WTAF?!?!?!?
Daniel Cole you are one talented man!!!
Is this seriously your debut? Honestly???
I am in awe!!!
Ragdoll starts like a seemingly routine courtroom drama but it quickly becomes clear that it is anything but!
I am fairly certain that this concept has not been done before, one 'body' which is actually made up with the limbs of six people?!? I mean, come on . . .  I bet Stephen King is well annoyed he didn't think of this one!!! What a genius concept and so utterly clever of Cole to bring something completely fresh to the table in a genre that is saturated with reworking of the same plot lines (not that there is anything wrong with that mind!!)
Ragdoll is totally addictive, you will need to plan a take away, call in sick and get a babysitter before you start reading this because you will devour it in one day given the chance.
It is also the kind of book you don't actually want to finish because it so superbly written and the storyline is that enthralling you want it to carry on and never end.
The whole book has been brilliantly planned and plotted, from the characters to the darkly delicious humour, the chapter headings to the relationships between the characters and this shines through.
A thrilling ride that will have you glued from the first page to the last.
A very, very fantastic debut, well done Mr Cole, well done!

Everything about this sample made me want to read the book. The writing style, especially the touches of humour, was immediately gripping. I'm definitely intrigued enough about the plot to continue reading.

Ragdoll is outstanding from the first page. I'm already addicted and I only got to start the story. I cannot wait to read the finished version.

Detective William “Wolf” Fawkes gets a call about a stitched up corpse made up of six victims named the 'Ragdoll'. He has recently been reinstated at his job after attacking ‘The Cremation Killer” in court. Wolf is assigned this case with his old partner Emily Baxter . Within hours of Ragdoll murder the killer releases list of names and dates that he intends to murder to Wolf’s ex wife ,a T.V . journalist with Wolf’s name being last on the list. Will Wolf and Emily catch the killer on time before he gets any more victims and claims the final prize Wolf?

I was approved for the Ragdoll sampler and had to buy it as soon as it was on sale. It is a dark book with satirical humor and great complex well developed flawed characters. A definite must read for all mystery lovers.

Many thanks to the publisher & NetGalley for this sample copy in exchange for my honest and fair review.

Loved it from the very first page.
One body made from six victims stitched together like a puppet is found suspended from the ceiling and this is the first case for the controversial detective William Fawkes known as The Wolf. who has just been reinstated after punching a suspect in a case

I can't give a book five stars that I've only read a sample of, but this definitely a book a plan to read in its entirety when it comes out. It's one of those mysteries that I just have to know the ending to.

I downloaded this not realizing it was the sampler. But, I still read it...and really enjoyed it! Now I cannot wait to pick up the full book to continue reading it. I was captivated from the start...and found Detective William Falkes, better known as Wolf, to be an engaging, unique character. He definitely has his demons, as can be seen from the fact that he loses it in the courtroom! I am not usually a fan of really gory thrillers, but in the little I read here, I so want to continue reading - and the fact that this is going to be a series really has me hooked!

As horrifying as the premise of this book is, I was immediately drawn to it – I'm a fan of crime, horror and thriller novels, but it's hard to find books that don't follow a generic and formulaic structure. Although I only read the sampler, I Immediately knew this book was unique. The choice of the 'head-hopping narrator' sets it apart from the masses, and although I usually find this style of narration shallow, choppy and hard to read, I felt it served this story well, and all the characters that were introduced in the sampler chapters were well-rounded and three-dimensional.

Based on what I've read so far, I would definitely recommend and will also read the full novel at some point.

This sample is so fantastic. I look forward to reading the full version of Ragdoll. It appears to be a crime fiction novel mixed with mystery, horror, and dark humour. The writing is excellent thus far.
