Oh, Nick, how could you. Just when you finally admit to loving her.

I love how both Avery and Nick are broken, but trying to help each other deal with what they have faced in their past. Nick admits to Avery over and over again that he's not a good man, but I never saw his devotion being that deep.

Can't wait for 100 Reasons to see what happens with Nick and Avery.

For 100 Nights, A 100 Series Novel,  Lara Adrian

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  romance, General Fiction (adult)

Well, I looked back to my review of book one on getting this – as usual its quite a time and many, many other stories since I read that. I couldn’t remember the minor details, just the very basic facts.
That’s the main reason I prefer to read trilogies/duos etc back-to-back, so the story stays fresh in my mind. It just loses impact for me when its months or more between parts.

So, moan over, what about this part? Well, I loved it once more.
Once the story started filtering back into my brain I was able to pick up connections, though possibly missed some – I’ve found with trilogies that when I do a back-to-back read there’s always things I’d missed, little hints and snippets that I passed over unnoticed.

Avery, I really like her but...sometimes I get irritated when she takes the least logical course of action. She has to, to let the plots advance that way they do but there are times when I feel an action could have been written differently, so as to make her not such a berk...to not let her do things I feel she wouldn’t have.
I do like the art snippets – as an artist myself I appreciate seeing just how hard it is to get work seen and sold. So many books make someone pick up a brush, and from that first picture they get fame and fortune really quickly. real life isn’t like that, there’s many, many artists like me who have a shed full of unsold paintings ;-)
And the food...mmmm....got my mouth watering! Food scenes can be very raunchy and erotic and thats shown well here.
I love the way her secrets finally came out in part one, but got the feeling – especially after that ending – that there’s more to come. And there is, something huge, though looking back perhaps not quite so unexpected...

Dominic, another rich, I-don’t-do-commitment guy. Seems the romance genre is full of those, and usually they fall in the end. Will Nick though or can he hold out?
Looking at his past he’s cut loose as soon as there’s any kind of real emotion hits a relationship. Will he do it this time, or does he feel more for Avery? Its clear she's in love with him, and she's told him so, and thats been the thanks for a good time, and on-your-way message from him before. She's still here though.

Its a great story, more secrets from both characters coming out, lots of searing sensual sex, and a solid plotline backing it.
Regular readers of my reviews will know that’s a must-have for me, sex without story is just boring, bland, dull. I know there are a couple of books made up purely of sex scenes from different books – to me they’re pointless, and I just can’t see why they sell so well – takes all sorts though ;-)

I’d kind of half guessed at one of the secrets, but not the whole thing, and that played out very well. Katherine is here again, and I actually managed to feel sorry for her, when after book one I really disliked her. I still don’t actually like her, but can understand her a little better now.

The ending – wow – didn’t see that coming, and gah...cliff-hanger. Hate those, but fingers crossed next book due out very soon. Its middle of Feb now and it's due this spring so on the way I hope!

Stars: Five, another hot and sensual instalment with lots of surprises and story.

What made Nick and Avery so provocative as a couple is the secrets they kept. He was a man of mystery that kept his life close to the vest. She was a woman trying to outrun her own demons. Two broken people seeking sanctuary in each others arms proved for a darkly sensual, complicated and dangerous love affair. I am so glad that I had the chance to read For 100 Days first because the two books complement each other in that For 100 Days lays the groundwork For 100 Nights.

Another strong story by Ms. Adrian. Enjoyed her paranormal romances and now get to enjoy another aspect of her writing. I will describe it simply as HOT!

4.5 stars 100 Night continues Avery and Nick story from 100 Days. I loved this book it picked up where we left the last book and didn’t skip a beat. I found myself falling right back into the story with Nick holding Avery to their agreement and all its twists and turns along the way. I look forward to reading the final in this fabulous trilogy.

'For 100 Nights' by Lara Adrian is book Two in the "100 Series". This continues the story of Avery Ross and Dominic "Nick" Baine. This story picks up where "For 100 Days" ended. So I do recommend reading that book before starting this one. In the first book it dealt with Avery, her past and Nick finding out...this book deals more with Nick. Avery is still struggling to trust and with Nick and Nick is struggling with his own secrets. I fell in love with these two in the first book. I love how Nick is a strong somewhat Alpha Male to Avery. Avery has been hurt badly when she was a young teenager and dealing with that and the lost of her mother (went to jail) she has difficulty trusting. But when she starts to learn some of Nick secrets she starts to become stronger for him. This romance has some really host scenes, blackmail, betrayal and most importantly love. Please note that this does end with another cliffhanger that sets up the next book 'For 100 Reasons". I just can't wait for it!! "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."

If you are finding it a struggle waiting for the next Fifty Shades movie to hit the big screen you can console yourself with Lara Adrian’s latest novel. This is the second book in her “100” series and they really do need to be read in sequence otherwise there are some pretty big spoilers in this book.
At the end of the first book Avery had finally shared the dark secret of her Pennsylvania past with Dominic Baine and life in the Penthouse had resumed as normal. As the middle book in the series it was never going to resolve any issues or long term questions but you have to get right to the last couple of pages before there is anything that causes you to sit up and take interest.
Like all Lara’s books there is a lot of sexual activity and it might just be me but it all started to feel a bit mechanical and repetitive. I don’t know whether that is because it is just mere mortals involved than the Midnight Breed but I found myself skipping quite a lot of the grunting and rolling around. It just didn’t hit the right note for me. That’s not to say that I won’t be eagerly awaiting the next book “100 Reasons” because I will but more because of the epic cliffhanger that is delivered in the last few pages. I really didn’t see that coming! (ahem…)

When I read For 100 Days last spring, I was completely captivated!! Knowing it was the first book in a trilogy, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the second book!! Well I am thrilled to say For 100 Nights was everything I hoped it would be and MORE!!! In this novel, Lara Adrian continued Nick and Avery's story right where the first novel left off. I had absolutely no problems jumping back in!!! If you haven't read For 100 Days, you could read For 100 Nights as a standalone, but I highly recommend you start this series from the beginning (because it's that good)!!

When Nick and Avery initially started their relationship there were some crucial personal facts that Avery wasn't truthful about. After coming clean to Nick about (most of) her past, Avery and Nick seem stronger than before. They made an agreement to have a "re-do" of sorts and decide to commit to 100 nights exclusively with each other. The problem is that Avery still has some secrets she's trying to keep hidden! As much as Avery wants to stick her head in the sand to pretend they doesn't exist, her issues are quickly becoming a problem. But Avery isn't the only one not being transparent, Nick has some major skeletons in his closet that Avery has no clue about!!! Wow, wow, wow!!!!

I love the direction Lara Adrian is taking this trilogy!! This book is loaded with steam, seduction, suspense and at the heart of it, a beautiful love story. I always say I love a book that can make you "feel" and this book has a ton a feels!! Of course, being that this is the second book in the trilogy, I cannot wait until I get my hands on the third installment (For 100 Reasons)!!!! Like, really can't wait!! For 100 Nights is a complete 5 star book that is 2017 MUST READ!!! Trust me, if you haven't started this trilogy yet go 1-click pronto!!
