End of a deadly mystery…

I am kicking myself for starting at the end of this trilogy. Harper was a great character. Self-confident, almost cocky, but with the smarts and skill to back up her claims. Dmitry was a quiet bookworm but he was not a pushover at all. Alpha with a bookstore? That was a really good first… How they met and joined forces was as unique as they were, and started what would become the beginning of the end…

“She was a creature unlike anything Dmitry had ever seen before...”

I loved the chemistry that sprang up between these two. Neither knew quite what to do with the other, and trust was on short supply, but their shared goal meant they had to figure it all out on the fly. Harper’s banter, Dmitry’s deceptive quiet, it paved the way for each step forward they made. Good writing and character development, despite its novella-size, meant I was not at all ready for the climactic end…

I cheated myself of the buildup to this emotional conclusion but that won’t stop me from checking out all the Karev brothers from the beginning.

Really enjoyed reading this book!! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Unfortunately this title was archived before I had chance to download, however, that being said I'm sure it would have been as good as all Leslie North's books.

Dmitry Karev and Harper Allen.
This is book 3 and it's best to read books 1 and 2 first.

I started this story a while back and just picked it back up today, not sure what happened as I can only think I got distracted and forgot to finish it. Well I finished it today and am very happy I did. I mean what woman wouldn't fall for a tall, alpha male, blond hair having man bun style, who wears glasses and owns a bookstore? Lol. Be. Still. My. Heart...because that's exactly who Dmitry Karev is. In this last book of the series we have Dmitry and computer hacker extraordinaire Harper who work together to finally put to rest who killed Sergey Karev, Dmitry's Dad. I have to admit I figured out in the last book who it was, so it was no big surprise for me. I loved Dmitry and Harper together. She was good for him, especially since he was so hard on himself. Harper and Dmitry get their HEA. 4 stars

Leslie North is an auto read. She has such a knack for the serial length sexy story that packs a punch!

A great book to round out the trilogy. I really liked Dmitry, but I loved Haper's character. She brought some color, literally, to the books some of the previous characters didn't have.

The third book in the Karev Brothers' series focuses on the last brother, Dmitry. With the help of computer hacker, Harper, can they finally discover who killed Dmitry's father?

I enjoyed this quick series read, but I would've liked a little more storyline. I feel like this wrapped up quickly. I have some lingering questions that are left unanswered. It might have been a little too neat.

Dmitry may be my favorite Karev brother. He has left the mob and owns a bookstore.

He lost his wife five years ago and has not had a relationship since then. But when Harper try downloading something onto his computer and he catchers her he may have just found something he's been looking for. When she tells him of her relationship with his father and that she wants to help bring his murderer to justice, it may be something he can't refuse.

Harper is a hacker. She loves her computer and she has an affection for Dmitry's father who was killed. She has decided to put those skills to work to lead Dmitry and his brothers to the killer. So when Dmitry catches her with his computer she goes along with him back to his bookstore to fill him in on what she has found out.

During their investigation they have to make believe they have an actual relationship or at least a physical attraction and when it turns out it isn't acting neither knows what to do with it. But when Harper makes herself known to someone she shouldn't it will be up to Dmitry to keep her safe.

This is a funny, interesting and action packed book.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Once again I wanted to give this book more stars but it was just too short. I love the premise but I want more. I like Dmitry for the first book (who does not love a sexy bookstore owner). I knew whoever his love interest was, she was going to be his opposite and she was. Harper is spunky and smart and everything Dmitry is not.
The sex scenes were hot as hell Leslie does a great job in that aspect. I would have love there to be 1 horizontal position and maybe a bed but the story moves so quickly there is not enough time. They catch the bad guy and live happily ever after.
If you are looking for a quick read for a plane flight, it is great. No long commitment. It can be read rather quickly, as with the entire series. I love the writing I just want her to go deeper...no pun intended.

I was super excited to read the third installment in Leslie North's Karev brothers trilogy. This was Harper and Dmitry's book and boy did this author end this series on a high. I was so enamored with this couple and did not want this book to end. Her relentless Russian was a fitting end to this series!

I strongly do not recommend that you read this book without having read books one and two. The ongoing plot of who murdered Sergei Karev culminates into a passionate story between a beautiful hacker and the mysterious man she fell in love with.

I absolutely adored this novel and will look for more stories from this author in the future. I would like to thank NetGalley and City Owl Press for generously providing a copy of this ebook for an honest review.

Barely interesting. Lots of introspection. Not a lot of action. Too many leaps to conclusion happened. Well-written, but not my cup of tea.

"<i>I want us to be exclusive,</i>" he said. "<i>If you're inviting any other men home, I want it to stop. You can expect the same from me.</i>"
"<b>I can expect that you won't invite any strange men home?</b>"

After the surprise delight of HER ROGUE RUSSIAN, when I saw HER RELENTLESS RUSSIAN up for grabs on NG, well.. I had to have it.

<i>Her Dmitry had booked a spontaneous trip out of the country? Where was the budgeting spreadsheet, the itinerary, the SPF sunscreen? Where was the plan that would completely rob Tahiti of its fun and turn it into a bore?</i>

And this was fun in a whole different way!

<i>The other Karevs preferred to bust their way heather-like into situations; they approached romance with the fairer sex like a boxing match, where physical strength and domination won the day. Dmitry liked to think he was more nuanced, more thoughtful, in his own approach to flirting. Yes, he <b>liked</b> to think that.</i>

This final installment introduces us to the middle Karev brother and in the wind-up to discovering who killed their father, Dmitry finds himself facing off with the hacker who has been feeding him intel over the course of the last few months. But surprise! It's not some old crusty nerd. Sassy and reckless and relentless, Harper is Dmitry's total opposite. He's a quiet bookseller, long out of the mob game since his wife's death, and she's a hot bombshell of a babe with fiery computer skills who knocks through the walls of his life like a wrecking ball.

<i>Maybe that sexy man-bun of his was pulled too tight around his temples and distracting him from other male extremities prone to tightening in her presence. [..] She was probably more woman than the bookish introvert know how to deal with at a glance.</i>

The chemistry is scorching, the banter and bickering just brilliant, and that epilogue was just adorable. It was also nice to see a bit of switch to the gender stereotypes; despite his mafia background, Harper was far more aggressive than Dmitry was.. and not only in an intimate way. She took charge while he planned and bemoaned her thoughtlessness when diving into situations. I loved it.

This series was a collection of fast action packed novellas that I'm so thrilled to have had the chance to read and I will be definitely going backwards to acquaint myself with Vlad in book one.

4 "he knew they were in bigger trouble then just the situation localized to his pants" stars

~ARC from NetGalley.~

The third book of the Karev Brothers comes to a conclusion as to whom killed their father.

The over all series was really good. It started with the younger brother, the oldest, then the middle. As the story progress, you can see why it was written that way.

Dmitry's wife died, 5 years ago. The event gave him the reason to leave the Mafia life. However, the death of his father and his love for his sibling still made him part of the mafia he wants to leave. Harper in the other hand is someone that I would truly want to meet. Her wit and the way she dressed up everyday was something to look forward to while i was reading the book.

The plot was easy and not too complicated. As the first series that i have read from this author, i look forward to reading the rest of her books.

I am happy that I picked up the third book of the Karev Brothers Series, as it is much better than the first installment of the series, even if I was not as content with it, as the last series I read by Leslie North. Leslie has a talent for tying up her series very nicely, which did not happen as well with this one, as it left me still wanting more - more stories, more conclusion, more resolution. Still, I thought this series as a whole, and this book on it own was entertaining.

Usually, I recommend that you can read any of the Author's books as a stand-alone novel, but I highly suggest that you should read the other two installments first, before diving into this novel. It makes much more sense as a series, than a stand-alone, and will make a lot more sense than if you read it randomly.

That said, I really liked this Karev brother, much better than his arrogant brothers. The female lead - Harper - is feisty, and not someone who would take being bullied into submission, no matter if it is from Dimitri, or anyone else. That was a nice change from the first book, which had a push-over female lead. I like romance novels where both main characters are equal in character.

This book redeemed the series for me, and let some of what makes Leslie North one of my favorite romance Authors shine through.
