Okay, to start off our little discussion of the book at hand I must be frank and say that whilst I found the book to be sweet, relatively easy to digest with a dash of predictability I was not drawn into the plot. It didn’t engage me as much as Miracle on 5th Avenue did and I am not to sure as to what is the root cause for this.
Maybe… just maybe it was due to our lead female character, Molly. I was not feeling this character and you know I tend to lean towards the female characters rather than the male ones regardless of how handsome they are described in the book.
Molly is supposed to be a very intelligent woman (the woman had a PhD for Christ sake) yet she believes this crackpot notion that she can’t fall in love because of her DNA (like what?? she could have just been aromantic for all we know) and trust me girl, I have had my share of relationships and now that I am older I definitely do not characterize them as love. So, all in all Molly needs cool it.
There were other instances as well where I really question if Molly really is intelligent because sometimes her logic isn’t as sound as I assumed it would be.
The male character, Daniel, is okay I suppose. Very typical knight in shining armor and AHA! I have just realized why this book was a so-so book for me.
IT’S THE CHARACTERS!
They are just not memorable and when reading you are just like okay… whatever.
The sex scenes in this book wasn’t so great either BUT… this one scene where Daniel and Molly were kissing under the tree under the rain was just pure… FUYOOOOH!!!
The one thing that I was excited for when reading this book was them introducing the main characters for the next book Holiday in The Hamptons and I logged on and requested it on Netgalley so fast and lemme just say I was not disappointed.
Overall, this book was okay. A bit on the meh side for me with forgettable lead characters and a weak plot.

Delightful, fun! Interesting! clever and hysterical, all wrapped up into one amazing novel. What a wonderful series- I can't wait to read more.

New York, Actually by Sarah Morgan (Amazon | B&N | Kobo) came out earlier this year but I can’t let it disappear without a shout out. Daniel is a delectable lawyer hero but I was hooked on his two sisters. They run a dog-walking/dog-therapy/dog-everything business and they really have it going on. New Yorkers are particular about who takes care of Fido! Hence sister Fliss’s reaction when Daniel asks for a dog, any dog, to walk in the morning. How come she wonders—is there a woman involved?
“She’s single.”
“So?” Fliss scowled. “Even if she is single, that doesn’t mean she wants a relationship. It bugs the crap out of me when men assume a single woman is only single because she’s waiting for a man. Get over yourselves.”
Daniel studied his sister. “Which side of bed did you climb out of this morning?”
“I can climb out of any side I like. I’m single.”
“Lend me a dog, Fliss. And don’t give me anything small. It needs to be a reasonable size.”
LoL, what can you tell about a man vis–à–vis the size of his dog?! Morgan excels at dialogue—and family/friend relationships. And heads up, Fliss’s story is coming soon in Holiday in the Hamptons.

New York, Actually by Sarah Morgan was as entertaining as expected. Witty dialogues, touching scenes, wonderfully relatable and charming characters and lot's of furry support characters made this story utterly satisfying.
Sarah Morgan has a talent for writing heart-felt stories that leave me wanting more.
In New York Actually it was Daniel's dry humor and sarcastic wit and Molly's British demeanor and down-to-earth personality that pulled me in. The way the author guided the couple from friendship to relationship felt real, unrushed, and suited both characters.
Daniel, divorce attorney, always in control, cynical, and someone that didn't believe falling in love could ever happen to him - lol.
Molly, successful writer and advice blogger, expert in relationships, heart-breaker, and someone that thinks she can't fall in love.
This couple couldn't have been any more perfect for each other. They clicked, not only in regards to chemistry and attraction, but where it counts as well. Molly and Daniel complemented each other in the best of ways. The more time they spent together the closer they became.
Daniel's interactions with Brutus, one of his sister's rescue dog, had me cracking up. He was so clueless, but gradually came around and impressed the heck out of me. I knew that he would come around but seeing him struggle and find his way was incredibly entertaining.
I'm really looking forward to reading Holiday in the Hamptons (book 5) which will be about his sister Fliss/Felicity.
review will go live july 25th

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I will not be able to review this book. I have deleted it from my system and will buy the book if I decide to read it on my own.
Thank you

This one read like a movie, in a good way! A cute and funny rom-com with heart

Molly is a relationship advice blogger, columnist and author. She does that under a pen name because of a scandal in her past that pushed her to move from the UK to New York. She never wants the two identities to meet and not only that, she feels ass if she isn’t capable of loving someone. This is why she only advises about relationships but she’s never wanted to have one.
Daniel is pretty much the male version of that without the identity crisis. His parents did a number on him when he was younger and he’s now made it his mission to be a great divorce lawyer, because not everyone should stay married as he saw first hand. Relationships are definitely not his thing either.
The way they meet is super cute, and I loved the interactions of each with their dogs! There were a lot of things about this story that were cute and pulling me in, but at the same time I found myself losing interest quite a bit in their relationship. I had a hard time believing Molly and her issues because in the end they didn’t feel as monumental to me as she was feeling they were.
When I started this book, I thought it had all the markings for a cute, fun story like I usually expect from Ms. Morgan. Along the way, I lost some of my steam though. Turns out this might be my least favorite book by her I’ve read so far. Not to say it was bad, it was just a bit forgettable. I’m still very excited for the next in the series, which I hope will be a great beach read!

Love Sarah Morgan and how she puts things together. Also these weren't 21 year old people yeah!!!!
This actually was a delight to read and will look for more from the author :D

It's taken Molly three years to rebuild her life and she's determined that the only man in it will be her beloved dog, Valentine. Her Ask a Girl blog has led to a book deal and she's happy giving advice to others on love from the comfort of her own home. However, she has no time for a man, even if that man is quite attractive and has a dog. Little does Molly know but Daniel borrowed the dog from his sisters in order to attract Molly's attention. Daniel isn't looking for love either, as his work as a divorce attorney, coupled with his own childhood experiences, has him believing love and marriage aren't worth the risk. Will Molly and Daniel find a happily-ever-after despite their own misgivings about love?
NEW YORK, ACTUALLY is the fourth book in the From Manhattan with Love series. Readers can jump right into the middle of this series as each romance is a standalone story. Some familiar characters will appear in NEW YORK, ACTUALLY, and I suspect that new readers will want to get to know all of Sarah Morgan's wonderful characters after getting a taste of them.
I love Molly and Daniel! Molly has hidden herself away from others even as she continues to offer relationship advice that resonates with her blog readers. Her devotion to Valentine is heart-warming. However, it is Daniel and his emotional growth that really make NEW YORK, ACTUALLY such a beautiful story. I laughed as he bantered with his two sisters, the Bark Rangers, but it was his growing affection and love for Brutus that stole my heart.
Sarah Morgan does a marvelous job at infusing humor into NEW YORK, ACTUALLY as this is one contemporary romance you don't want to miss out on. In fact, the whole series is phenomenal as Sarah Morgan has a gift for finding the emotional heart of a story and pulling her readers into it. If you love contemporary romance, don't hesitate to give NEW YORK, ACTUALLY a try!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC from Netgalley.
Oh, how I really really like these New York books from Sarah Morgan. Every story is a different adventure and the characters are wonderful. I was quite interested in Molly's dilemma. That was a new one on me. I don't want to give it away, so I'll keep my mouth shut. Let's just say, it's usually the guy that has this problem. Or maybe not a problem to some of them. hahahahaha It's a great book and I highly recommend the whole series if you haven't read them yet. Can't wait for the next one.....(I say that every time)

Sarah Morgan did it again. I loved this set of new characters.
Molly and Daniel were both very likable. The story had many funny moments.
My only issue was the big "secret past" . I found it was a bit of a let down once revealed. So much building up for nothing so to speak.
The story was nice enough though and the writting was pretty good.

Fun! Just fun! There's nothing deep here- just a good chick lit novel with two wonderful characters in Molly and Daniel. AND, don't forget the dogs! This is light, funny, entertaining, and a good dance between two people you know are eventually going to overcome their differences and get together. Morgan has a breezy writing style and is a good story teller. Perfect beach or travel book. Thanks to net galley for the ARC.

The very first few pages of “New Your Actually” give an insight into the writing prowess of Sarah Morgan. It is pure genius and truly orgasmic, setting the tone for New York’s most famous advice columnist Molly and the crusader of the underdogs, hiding behind a façade of cynical lawyer Daniel and their love story in the Big Apple.
Hiding away from the public after a nasty past, Molly is content with doling advise in cyber space, but how can she resist Daniel and his rented dog Brutus aka Ruffles!!! Well dogs meet, become friends forever, and now Daniel has to convince Molly that he is the person to love her forever and falling in love is nothing to run away from.
The entire story line is a kaleidoscope of wit, emotions, care, and love of two people accepting that love is for real, accepting the fact that new friends can be made and those very friends will stay by you through hurt, accepting the fact there a really good people in this world with genuine care and affection, and that mantle doesn’t entirely belong to only your loyal canine.
Sarah Morgan’s “From Manhattan With Love” series is utterly charming, whimsical and enchanting as the magic of New York spreads to the extended family. I thought “Miracle On 5th Avenue” was my favorite of the series so far, but “New York Actually” steals my heart…. for now. Now let’s see how Fliss and Seth fare their separation, reunion and more.
Received an ARC from Harlequin via NetGalley for an honest review.

Can the city’s best divorce lawyer(him) and the number one relationship advice expert anywhere (her) actually meet and not tear one another apart? A good question. The answer is found in Sarah Morgan’s NEW YORK, Actually.
Molly Parker writes pearls of wisdom about how to have the perfect couples’ relationship, long term and lasting under the pen name AGGIE. The only problem is Molly’s never had a long term, lasting relationship of her own.
Daniel Knight, divorce lawyer extraordinaire thinks that Aggie’s advice is not correct. He’d love nothing more than to meet the elusive columnist and give her a piece of his scholarly mind.
But he has met her. Only he doesn’t know it because Molly alter ego is cloaked in secrecy. No one knows who she is. But Daniel does know one thing: he likes Molly. Really likes her.
What happens when these two finally find out the truth about each other kept me up all night reading! This is a great story. I’ve never read anything by Ms Morgan before but right now I’m going to her backlist!
For a fun, witty, charming and thoroughly satisfying read, NEW YORK, ACTUALLY is actually a goodie!
5 stars from me. I was given an arc of this book from Netgalley for an honest opinion and here it is: you should read this book! That’s my opinion in new york nutshell!

Sarah Morgan is an auto-buy for me. I love her New York series and am so happy she's continuing in this world. I know when I pick up one of her books I'll have a happy, comfy, fun read that will leave me feeling hopefully for the future. Just what we all need in these trying times.

New York, Actually was a cute read! Daniel and Molly had great chemistry and I loved the early banter between them. The slow burn romance was wonderfully done, I never felt there was any wasted time. I adored both Daniel and Molly, even though there were times I didn't agree with their actions. Overall, this was an engaging and entertaining story! I look forward to more in this series, they are all such light and easy reads.

I love books that take place in the hustle and bustle of New York City. So I was very excited to get the opportunity to read NEW YORK, ACTUALLY, by new-to-me author Sarah Morgan. This is the fourth book in the author’s MANHATTAN WITH LOVE series, and I have already put the first three books on my TBR list.
Due to reality TV, Londoner and psychologist Molly Parker was a semi-celebrity. She was enjoying her life until her former costar fabricated an incident that went viral. Molly quickly lost face, and both her personal and professional reputations were ruined. She had no choice but to start a new life where no one knew about her past. It has been three years since Molly moved to NYC, and during that time she has become a bestselling author and a very popular advice blogger. In order to ensure her privacy, she writes and blogs under a pseudonym. Molly firmly believes she is not meant to fall in love, even though most of the advice she provides is about relationships. She is a dog lover, and her Dalmatian Valentine is her best friend.
Daniel Knight is an outstanding divorce attorney whose name is synonymous with winning. He fights vigorously for his clients, and he only represents those who have been truly wronged. Daniel’s good-looks and arrogance are extremely attractive. Relationships are not his thing, so falling in love has never been a concern. His twin sisters manage a dog walking service and foster both cats and dogs. So when he needs a dog in order to introduce himself to a certain woman that runs through Central Park with her Dalmatian, his sisters come to the rescue.
Molly and Daniel harbor many secrets which overtime they share with each other. Their mutual fear of love and commitment slowly dissipates as they earn each other’s trust.
NEW YORK, ACTUALLY is a genuine, passionate, and emotional romantic read. It is complete with desire, well-defined characters, and an engaging plot line. Molly and Daniel are wonderfully perfect for each other, and I immediately connected to them as individuals and as a couple. They have a seductive chemistry, and their ability to learn how to trust each other was quite thought-provoking. The secondary characters, including the charming canines, added a lot of personality to the story. Overall, this is an extremely well-written novel that can be enjoyed as a standalone.
LJT, Romance Junkies, 4.5 Hearts. I was given a copy of the book for an honest review.

"New York, Actually" is a charming tale of two people who believe they can't fall in love--until a couple of dogs bring them together. So if you love dogs, romance, and New York City, this book has pretty much everything you need.
Molly is a relationship advice expert who's never not only never been in a real relationship, but her failures in that sphere have been broadcast on national tv back in her native England, and spent several weeks trending on Twitter. Heartbroken and humiliated, she was forced to flee her home country, change her name, and start all over again in NYC. Meanwhile, Daniel is a hotshot divorce attorney who's never been married, and never intends to be. When he borrows a dog in order to catch the eye of the hot woman he sees running with her Dalmatian every morning in Central Park, all he's looking for is a fun fling. Until events take a number of surprising twists and turns...
One part romance, one part "chick lit," "New York, Actually" is a lighthearted romp through pretty much all the tropes of both genres, minus perhaps the clothes shopping. Clothes play an important role in the book, but it's mainly Daniel's suits that get center stage when that particular topic comes up. But other than that you have the two damaged hearts finally finding love after overcoming a number of obstacles, most of them self-constructed, you have the supportive and slightly zany friends and neighbors, the high-powered careers in a major metropolis, and the adorable dependents who bring the seemingly-incompatible-but-actually-made-for-each-other heroine and hero together, the steamy sex scenes...you get the picture. I can't say that "New York, Actually" breaks much new ground for the genres it represents, but it's an entertaining, readable, well-constructed book, full of good-looking humans and lovable dogs, and sometimes that's all you need. If you're looking for an upbeat love story set in the Big Apple, or a break from heavier reading, "New York, Actually" is a fine choice to read through in an afternoon or two.
My thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a review copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I loved the characters. It started out a little slow but quickly picked up! I really loved the dialogue and the ending. Great summer fun read!
