I am sorry that I couldn't complete the book on time and it got expired. I am giving 1 star because of the book description. I liked the synopsis and that is why I asked for the book.

Cute little book, didn't take me very long to read. It made me smile.

I enjoyed this book, loved the images and it was a genuinely funny read - 4 stars from me!

A decent book, but not really my thing. In being so full of jokes – strong ones, mind, and on almost every page – as opposed to an actual story as such, it has more of the feel of a compilation of newspaper comic strips. Some – especially the dad talking about understanding life and women – seem more likely to hit home with an adult audience. Still, there is always a market for this kind of thing, and if a young reader could feel ownership of this cute bear, his sister and his coming-of-age mission, then that's all well and good.

Showing the everyday moments of the Grizzwell family as they go about their life (get ready for school, eat breakfast, walk to school etc) this graphic novel felt very much like a daily comic printed in the newspaper. It was full of one liners and puns that would appear every few panels or during mini story arc across a single page. Most of these had me smirk or roll my eyes, not laugh out loud. Not to say that this was bad, just average and the cartoon style felt a bit too similar to the Bernstein Bears and even Yogi Bear.

I do want to mention that I adored Tucker's best friends Max and Hector who Tucker introduced to the reader (breaking the fourth wall as he often did) by saying, “Lunch is not exactly a mensa meeting”.

An enjoyable read but not something I would return to as a reread.

A young bear is dreading his coming of age test, and his smart mom, dumb dad, and surprisingly friendly older sister aren’t much help.
I did not know this was a comic strip, and when I found out I realized it was incredibly continuous. This is like the book version of movies like “Airplane!” where the jokes come fast and furious; if one doesn’t make you laugh, or groan, there’s another one coming in the next panel. A lot of these made me groan, but are probably right in the wheelhouse of the kids in the age range this is shooting for.
Some of my favorites include the face he makes when he sees the Tarantula condo is empty; he’s not the only one who breaks the fourth wall with that “yeah, right” look. When Fauna asked for something to cover the zit, her non-specificity is her own fault.
“We all consider you inadequate.” Saw it coming, but still nice.
Detest—new definition, just as good as the first.
“The following program is made possible by a general lowering of standards.”
“My dad said I’d never amount to anything.” “That must’ve taken a lot of the pressure off you.”
“Do clouds ever touch the ground?” “Haven’t the foggiest.”
10 pages of bear facts to end it.
3.5 pushed up to 4/5

If you have been a fan of the Grizwells since the beginning then this is the book for you. However, we do not get much bear/porcupine action as this book is about Grizzwells’ kids. We get to meet Tucker, his youngest son. Tucker is a school boy. He likes TV and other modern technology. The last thing he wants to do is attend Jaws and Claws with his pops. Bad things can happen there, and who cares if it is a yearly jamboree. Tucker does not want to go. And when he is not worrying about that he is trying to get the attention of the lovely lady he is into. A little slow but fun.

Five stars. A total hoot! Meet boy bear Tucker, along with the rest of his family and enjoy a rollicking week of shenanigans. Tucker's dread of "Jaws and Claws" weekend, a coming of age time for bears of his ilk, makes for a week of sleepless nights. Tuck and his sister Fauna find themselves in all sorts of trouble in and out of school. Classes and homework are not their cup of tea. Filled with a multitude of puns and wordplay, adults will enjoy this release as much as youngsters. Definitely worth a read.
