I enjoyed reading this story. I needed a book that I was almost positive that I would enjoy so I immediately started reading this book. Yeah, Lauren Layne's work has become an almost guaranteed good read for me. There is just something about the way she is able to blend sexy and sweet into a romantic story that leaves a smile on your face that I just cannot get enough of. This book ended up being as good as I hoped it would be.

This book is listed as being the fourth book in the Love Unexpectedly series but there is really no connection between the books in this series at all. Readers can feel free to start anywhere you want with this series and read them in any order since they all function as stand alone novels.

This was an opposites attract kind of story. Georgie and Andrew are very different from each other. Georgie is a socialite who spends her time working on charity events and her nights going out on the town with her friends. Andrew is a top divorce lawyer who works hard and is very regimented. Georgie and Andrew tend to see each other in their building's lobby at 5 am when she is coming home from her evening and he is leaving to work out at the gym. Total opposites.

I loved the banter between Georgie and Andrew right from the start. Georgie is much more practiced at the back and forth but I loved how Andrew was able to keep up. It becomes evident quite quickly that this pair of individuals are very attracted to each other and the chemistry between then was wonderful. It was nice watching Georgie pull Andrew out of his uptight shell and I loved how perfectly ridiculous they really were together.

I would highly recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. This book is sweet, sexy, funny, and charming. I can't wait to see what Lauren Layne comes up with next!

I received an advance reader edition of this book from Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept via NetGalley.

As a huge fan of 'opposite attract', and after reading the blurb I knew I had to read this book.

It was FUN, SEXY, LIGHT-HEARTED and had great banter.

I love opposite attract - it usually starts with great banter, sexual tension and leads to more fun along the way.

In Walk of Shame I started to adore Andrew Mulroney from the very first moment. He, a divorce lawyer of the rich and famous, was so stuffy and seemed to have NO humor at all. But behind the scenes, he was adorable.

Georgianna Watkins, a wealthy socialite in Manhattan, was easy to love. She was genuinely good, even so she liked to party, she was a trust fund baby and bubbly and fun to be around - like I said she was incredibly easy to like and I would kill to have her as my BFF. :D

Georgianna and Andrew seemed to be like oil and water. Nothing Georgie said made an impression on Andrew. He thought she was RIDICULOUS - perfectly ridiculous.:D

I loved Andrew. He worked so HARD. All he did was work, went to the gym, and worked some more. There was no fun or light-heartedness anywhere in his life- that's why Georgianna was so PERFECT for him. She was the easy going girl, sexy, sweet, seemingly immune to his grouchiness and she brought a smile to his lips.

I LOVED how both were secretly scheduling their times in such a way that they would pass each other in the lobby each morning.

It was ADORABLE!!!

Andrew and Georgie were such a wonderful and cute couple.

They were clearly opposite in their personality but that didn't mean that they weren't perfectly matched because of it. Georgie gave Andrew a part that was dearly missing in his life. Someone to come home to, to cook, to sit and curl up on the coach with. Suddenly his life was not all about work and gym.

It didn't surprise me how easy it was for Georgie to change her priorities. She was ready for a guy in her life - she was ready for Andrew.

Lauren Layne never failed to deliver heroes I fall hard for. Andrew was such a grouch. He kept his feelings and emotions so tightly locked that it took Georgie quite a while to break through his walls. But Georgie was everything else than a quitter. She was fine with taking baby steps, and her strategy was definitely working out for her. I loved watching these two completely opposite people fall head over heels in love with each other

Walk of Shame (Love Unexpectedly #4) by Lauren Layne was such an "enchanting" story that I read it in one sitting. You couldn't have pried it from my hands. :D

An enchanting read !

When a party girl and a stodgy (and I don't mean fat) divorce lawyer meet fireworks are guaranteed.
Georgianna (Georgie) and Andrew live in the same building, and indulge in verbal sparring every morning at 5am.
I just loved Walk of Shame and read it in 1 go, I lost sleep but it sooooo worth it. It's entertaining, it's funny, it's hot, it's simply a perfect read.
I have always enjoyed reading books by Ms Layne and this one is I think one of her best so far.

***4 ‘Perfectly Ridiculous’ Stars***

After my tepid feelings towards Love Story I was a bit hesitant to dive into Walk of Shame, something I hate to admit but truth is truth. But my wonky Libra nature urged me to give it a go because it IS LL after all, and one off’s happen, so I did and I devoured this book. It was a fun, smexy rom com that had a good dose of angst that was tempered by heart and sweetness.

Georgie was raised with a silver spoon in her mouth and to the world at large is a party girl celebutante, but that’s only the tip of the iceberg. I honestly loved Georgie. She was comfortable in her own skin and owned her lifestyle. She may be a party girl, but that isn’t all she is. She has a huge heart and sees people for who they are, not their status. She’s witty, kind and compassionate even when she’s attempting to be sneaky.

Andrew is a high powered divorce attorney who likes his world to be a nicely regimented to the point where his whole world can go sideways should one little thing not fall in line. Oh Logan. I didn’t know what to think about him at first, but as things progress and we find out more about his past I did end up liking him more and more. He’s got a good heart, is smexy as hell, but suffers from ‘foot in mouth’ disease...a lot.

Their opposites attract rollercoaster of a relationship was all kinds of fun and frustrating in equal measure, but I loved how they got under each others skins and have them tripping over themselves to figure out what was going on between them. I would have liked a little more of Andrew, and I know that’s vague, but there is so much to him that I feel we only got the tip of the iceberg (visualize that book vs movie meme with said iceberg). Did it change how I felt at the end? No, it didn’t affect my rating, but had we gotten more it would have definitely bumped it up. Regardless of that, I really enjoyed Andy and Georgie together. They’re bantering was witty and I loved them when they started to open up and relax with each other. The relationship bomb was a big one, but I liked how it all played out and how they got back together made me all kinds of twitterpated.
The writing flowed well and the pacing of the story was good. I thought the movie references were well used throughout the book, especially since one of my favorite movies was also one of Georgie’s. The use of 1st person POV and 3rd person POV was well done. Overall this was a fun read filled with heart and a good dose of heat and it is a true standalone so you can dive on in without having read the previous books in the series.

Georgie Watkins, NYC socialite and professional party girl, looks forward to the mornings she rolls into her buildings lobby after a late night out with her friends. The cap to her perfect nights... a little friendly, antagonistic banter with a fellow resident.

Andrew Mulroney, Esquire... thinks Georgie is... ridiculous. They couldn't be more opposite if they tried, but there is something about her that he just can't stay away from. What starts out as a truce (of sorts) develops into actual time spent together, and Georgie and Andrew still couldn't be more opposite, but can they maybe good for each other?

I absolutely adored this book! Georgie is hilarious. She may be a socialite and party girl, but she is anything but shallow and self-centered. She is a caring, generous and unapologetically friendly and outgoing woman. Andrew is a brilliant man who knows a lot... just not about being smooth with someone like Georgie. They are such a brilliant match, who you would never see as compatible, but end up being perfect for each other.

The writing is, as usual, fantastic. With Lauren Layne's trademark wit and her awesomely snarky characters (my favorite type, btw) who are portrayed so genuinely, that you can't help but become engrossed in their story and root for them throughout all of their ups and downs.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

I have three words to describe Walk of Shame: fun, fun, fun! (I know that isn’t very creative, but it really does describe the reading experience.) It has everything I love and expect from a Lauren Layne book - witty banter, fascinating characters, and a sexy, sigh-worthy love story. Reading it feels like my favorite kind of indulgence.

Andrew and Georgiana are neighbors and opposites. He’s a buttoned-up, serious divorce attorney, and she is a carefree, social butterfly fortunate enough not to have to work. They meet each other while passing in their building’s lobby in the early morning - he’s going to work while she’s just arriving home from a night on the town.

They’re different personalities and opposing lifestyles cause them to rub each other the wrong way, but that friction ignites a sizzling chemistry that could burn down the building. Andrew is a pretty controlled guy, and he attempts to not resist Georgiana, but she’s a force to be reckoned with and can’t be ignored. She also nudges him along by pushing his buttons any opportunity she gets.

Andrew and Georgiana dance around each other throwing pointed (and hilarious) jabs, but they begin to find themselves seeking and enjoying each other’s company. I love their dynamic. He is hilarious and endearing as he tries to stay grumpy and impervious, and it’s highly entertaining watching Georgiana unravel him. There’s nothing sexier than Andrew losing control.

Walk of Shame is exactly why Lauren Layne writes bestselling romances, and she'll always be an auto-buy for me as long as she’s typing.

SOOOO good. This book had me from the first scene, and held onto me for one fun ride. Georgie and Andrew are so opposite, yet so perfect for each other. Even while I saw what was coming, and knew what the "secret" would be, I still held on, hoping I was wrong. I wasn't, but it was okay, because these two had too much fight in them to go down in flames. This may be my favorite LL book yet!

It shouldn’t be this easy – to get dragged into a story with a heroine that ticks every box on the ‘annoying’ scale: gorgeous, rich, frivolous, famous for just existing with a major ‘thing’ for the hero: also gorgeous and famous, as a divorce lawyer, with a penchant for opening his mouth and inserting his foot. But it was Enchanting! Right from the start, I wanted to know why Georgie was all puppy at the pound turning circles and begging for attention from Andrew, who obviously had little time for her combined with that ‘first glance’ dismissal of her value.

But then we see it, Georgie’s heart and honest appreciation of the people she encounters: she draws people to her like moths to a flame: always open, friendly and up for a laugh. She is sunshine guaranteed to brighten your day (even at the end of a long night-shift) with a smile, a conversation or even a maple bacon donut, caged with 11 others from a bakery, a stop made after a long night of dancing and drinking with her friends.

Well, Andrew was a bit different:: rigidly adherent to his schedule, ‘deadly intelligent’, restrained and carefully confined within the little box he’s built for himself: suits that scream ‘successful attorney”, workout clothes that range from black to slate grey, a driven, restrained and dare I say, stuck in a rut man with a firmly held belief that Georgie is frivolous, ridiculous and just the girl he can’t stop thinking about.

So perhaps Georgie does have a bit of the Disney Princess about her, and yes, I swear that there were times that little birds should have sung her awake (at noon) and helped her dress, but she is just so perfectly optimistic and joyful in everything she does, always knowing that things will work out and love will prevail. She’s just driven to make Andrew see that: to force the door open to his heart and make him see that love and life are meant to be enjoyed and experienced. With movie nights with Enchanted, through charming his sister-in-law, partners at the firm, and pretty much everyone else, he’s loosening the reins on his tightly held control….although he never can quite get his balance. Socially awkward with anything more than small talk, even Georgie’s small talk is baffling to him, and he just can’t seem to find equilibrium around her. But he is hooked. Totally and completely. And Happy. The girl with the sparkles and laughter and unselfish need to have everyone around her happy, heard and enjoying the moment has him wanting….more.

Laughter, tears, concern and even a few moments where Andrew neeed to be hit with a stick, and not the happy one, I loved every moment of this book, and went right back in to re-read it a second time. A book hangover of legendary proportions, if you like your romance – you’ll love this book. And if you don’t fancy your romance (gasp!!) this will convert you…. Trust and believe.

I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

I am a HUGE Lauren Layne fan. I have read every book once and some even twice. Some have been absolute favorites, like the Stiletto series and others I enjoyed just didn't love but this story was incredible. LL has created two wonderfully different and fun characters in this story with Georgina and Andrew. If you are looking for snarky and funny story, well run to read this book because it was pure fun.

Georgina /Georgie and Andrew live in the same building and the title of the book is about Georgie and how she is coming home at 5am when Andrew is starting his day at 5am, supposedly she is doing the walk of shame, though she never really does.

Andrew and Georgie meet weekday mornings at 5am and they form relationship around that. The big kiss described in this story happens midway in the book and at that point both characters know they have a relationship with other even if they don't know what to call it.

If I was naming this book I think The Kiss is very appropriate as its a catalyst for how G and A finally end up exploring their attraction, before that they are both resistant to admitting to real feelings for the other. But that kiss changes everything.

I really LOVED this story. Beyond loved. I laughed alot during this story, and I also ached a lot too. This story is actually sweet and romantic. It explores a relationship round two extremely different and opposite characters. But who are both very lonely. Once they come together, they learn what happiness really is.

They have some big challenges in this story but I loved how hard they fall for the other and I loved all the one liners. if you enjoy snarky heroines and lots of laughter along with a sweet and romantic hero, then you will fall hard for Andrew like I totally did.

I haven’t been following Lauren Layne’s ‘Love Unexpectedly’ series, so jumping into ‘Walk of Shame’ because of the intriguing blurb and the hilarious expressions of the models on the cover is probably as good an idea as any to start this book which sounds like a romantic comedy with minimal angst and lots of bumps along the way. A spoiled, rich woman and a hardened, jaded lawyer? Bring it on.

But it’s a story, as I’ve come to realise early on, that people would either love or hate.

I’ll be the first to admit that Georgie Watkins is the kind of character I’d love to hate and it took a long, long while to warm up a little to her: the name-dropping, the airhead monologues (too many chapters were in her POV) and the constant mindless flitting from one meaningless activity to another all told in a mug voice weren’t characteristics I could even force myself to admire in a heroine.

Georgie is like the culmination of every spoiled socialite writ large in all the mean-girl movies and Layne has gotten her down to a science. There’s definitely the effort to show us Georgie’s softer side (she’s kind, caring, concerned for her family and friends) but I think I needed to see something more substantial beyond that. I’d expected to plumb her depths (no pun intended!) given so much of what we see of her is this apparently shallow woman. I’d hoped to see a bit more of an identity shake-up after seeing how Andrew’s own stodgy, awkward personality had changed by the end of the book, which didn’t really happen. In fact, Georgie seemed like someone content to have her head in the clouds, living the only reality she knew, and because Andrew trampled on that vision, he was quickly written off and expected to grovel because she couldn't be rational about her parents’ divorce.

The long and short of it is that ‘Walk of Shame’ was a personal disappointment. It is definitely a light-hearted read though by the end, I wasn’t convinced about their compatibility (Andrew seemed more amused by her ridiculousness than anything else and in turn, Georgie appeared infatuated with this buttoned-up mystery) and liking the colour red felt like scraping the bottom of the barrel. Layne’s banter and sniping did make the story entertaining, but even after I finished the book, I simply couldn’t see Andrew/Georgie as a couple that would ultimately last.

Walk of Shame, Lauren Layne

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  Romance,

I loved Lauren's Oxford sereis, so really looked forward to this one. For me though it was a disappointment. Looking at early reviews I see lots of readers love it yet quite a few like me didn't.

Georgie, she's not the usual type of heroine. I liked her cheery outlook, her friendliness and her general kindness to others. This character in books is usually the opposite to all that, though I'm not complaining, its what makes many books special ;-)
I think for me Georgie lacked any real character though, she seemed all light and fluffy, no real depth to her, just partying along, spending time shopping, lunching, gossiping, its all so vapid and hard to make a character with any depth of of one like that.

Then there's Andrew, totally her opposite, and again we could see why he was that rigid persona, but it made it very hard to see what the connection was between the two, how they could make a relationship work. The colour red is a very tenuous connection...
I liked Andrew in the same way as I liked Georgie, but didn't see how either of them would work in a relationship, they have little in common, don't really know anything about the other, and I didn't feel that magic crackle of attraction.
I love the slow build up, the gradual dawning that each likes the other, then slowly they meet more and more and that deepens. None of that here. just some snark and lust and that doesn't make a relationship.

I didn't dislike the book, just found it a hard read, didn't get properly engrossed in it and kept putting to one side.
I know its not one I've really enjoyed when I find myself glad I've reached the end...One of those reads that's well written but where the actual story just doesn't cut it for me.

Stars: Two. :-( Sorry Lauren, loved other books of yours but not this one. Still, there's lots of other  readers for whom its perfect.

At first I thought this was just going to be "Paris Hilton meets stuffy NY Lawyer and falls in love" but the book turned out to be so much more than that. Georgianna has a lot more substance than I was expecting and while Andrew's character wasn't developed completely, he turned out to be likable and sexy. This is a cute read about opposites that really do attract and I recommend it to anyone looking for something light and fun.

Walk of Shame was crazy addicting, laugh out loud hilarious and continually pulled at my heartstrings. And when I closed the book, I couldn't stop the happy tears! Here's a few reasons why this is definitely my new favorite LL book!

✮Fabulous Heroine -

I put on my widest, sparkliest smile, only because I know it drives him crazy.
As always, I see a muscle in his jaw twitch as I flutter my eyelashes.
“Good morning, Andrew,” I say sweetly.
“Georgiana.”

I loved Georgiana Watkin's voice, aka Georgie, and that her happiness and friendliness was infectious. She was this honest, bubbly, hilarious women who had the most generous heart. She was such a good person.....even though she loved to get under Andrew's skin. But besides all that, she talked directly to us readers, sporadically. It made me feel like Georgie was my bff and I happily listened as she poured her heart and soul out to me. I loved everything about Manhattan's famous party girl!

✮Rigid Yet Sexy Hero -

I pop another piece of donut in my mouth and smile. “It’s fine. I won’t tell a soul you checked me out.”
“I wasn’t—” He clears his throat. “Forget it. You’re ridiculous.”
I’m grinning outright now, because that’s two you’re ridiculouses this morning, and when he takes to repeating himself, I know I’ve successfully gotten under his skin.
Georgie, one; Andrew Mulroney, Esquire, zero.

Andrew Mulroney, Esquire...a famous divorce attorney.... was structured, rigorous and completely no-nonsense. Yet he captivated me, especially when he had his morning squabbles with Georgie. It was so much fun watching Georgie push Andrew's buttons, and getting glimpses into the other sides of him. Even if I was always left wanting to desperately know or learn more about the allusive Andrew. Because even though it seemed as though Andrew was always in control, he wasn't always on his game and he was insanely hot when jealous! And I have to put this out there, but I truly believe that fans of Michael from After the Kiss, will fall just as hard for Andrew!!

✮Fun and Flirty Vibe -

If I had even a lick of sense, I’d forget him and this weird game we’re playing. Instead I keep coming back for more.
I’ve been thinking about why, and, well . . . I’m simply not used to people not liking me. And yes, I know how that sounds. Diva much? But really, usually people at least want to be my friend. He hated me on sight for no reason, and I seem to be having a wee bit of a difficult time letting it go.

Georgie's party girl routine rubbed Andrew's off to the gym and then the corner office vibe at 5am the wrong way. Their morning confrontation in their lobby was always entertaining and the electricity running between the two of them was scorching hot. Well actually anytime they were near each other I always found myself smiling, laughing and then wanting to shove them together lol. Besides Walk of Shame being so much fun, LL writes some of the best banter, and she hit gold with Georgie and Andrew!

This book about polar opposites had me a giddy, laughing, crying mess! And I don't think I have ever happy cried so much, this book, oh, it made me a ridiculously emotional girl! *sigh* Walk of Shame was absolutely perfect! I loved it so much and I hope you do too!

Lauren Layne strikes again. She has written another fabulous contemporary romance that hit me in my feels and made me laugh. She has a knack for writing great characters that are completely relatable and super funny and that's really my jam so I'm super happy that I read this one.

Georgie Watkins is a rich girl who is an expert in socializing. She spends her days recovering from her partying nights and when her neighbor Andrew Mulroney starts his day at 5AM, she's usually coming in from ending hers. On top of being a workaholic, Andrew is a health nut who looks down his nose at Georgie bringing in donuts every morning for the doormen that work at the front desk of their apartment building.

They meet each other in the lobby every morning and they share a witty banter that just filled me up with goodness and I enjoyed each of their daily chats. They don't like each other and they love to antagonize one another and I thought it was the cutest thing.

Georgie was a great heroine who seemed to sense in herself, a quiet unrest that she didn't understand until interacting with the snob, Andrew Mulroney. She realized that she was bored. She was growing up and she wanted more out of her life than nightly visits to the club where she danced the night away with her friends and flirted with cute boys who lived their lives, the exact same way that she lived hers. She wanted more and she also had a huge ol' crush on Andrew, who seemed to take great pleasure in putting her down every chance he got. She didn't understand her crush but ran with it anyway because it wasn't going anywhere. The best part of her days were her morning arguments with Andrew and she wasn't going to give those up.

Andrew doesn't like Georgie. At least, he doesn't think he does. She's everything that he doesn't have time for. A spoiled rich girl who isn't doing a damn thing with her life other than partying with her friends. He's too smart and too driven to throw away his life by doing...nothing. But that doesn't stop him from looking forward to battling wits with her at 5AM, every morning. It also doesn't stop him from admiring just how pretty she is. When a particular battle of wits ends with him challenging her to spend a day in his shoes (he doesn't think she'll last a day), she accepts and things change for the two of them.

The romance between these two was adorable and just so much fun. The chemistry was strong and the sexual tension made its presence known from the very beginning. They were both such great characters on their own that bringing all of that awesomeness together made for a very enjoyable story. This is a story that I didn't even know I wanted and I'm glad that Lauren Layne provided because she delivered the goods with this one. I definitely recommend.

Fantastic! I devoured this one in just a few hours! The last book in this series, I didn't connect with. It was good, just not my favorite. I loved this one.
Georgianna is so dang perfect! She is the perfect book girl! She's funny, witty, kind and smart. You'd expect coming from money she might be a mindless twit, she is the exact opposite. Andrew definitely thinks something of her and he can't figure it out. Workaholic Andrew and Georgianna spar every morning. She's coming in, he's going out. Georgianna is determined to get under his skin and see if he's so uptight as he seems.
A kiss gets caught on camera and here they are on the gossip column. Georgianna dubs them frenemies. Andrew isn't so sure he likes that title. He changes things. He knows the happiness he feels with Georgianna is limited because he has a secret that will break her heart.

Just so good. The book flows so fast. I was sad when the end came and I NEEDED MORE. I hate for great stories like these to come to an end. I need to know how their lives ended up years to come. It's just that good!

Perfectly ridiculous!

Lauren Layne delivers another feel good romance, with all the fun you would expect from her novels. LL is great at writing broody, overly grumpy men who fall hard for the heroine. Mr. Andrew Mulroney, Esquire, was no different.

A high powered divorce attorney, he has no time for the spoiled socialite Georgie Watkins, until one morning he finds he can't spend another minute without her. After months of exchanging snarky comments to each other in the lobby (while she's coming in from a night on the town, and he's heading out to start his day), the two finally come together in a heated sidewalk encounter that ends up on Page Six! With their time together, Georgie realizes that she actually looks forward to her morning interactions with him, and he realizes that he may want a bit of ridiculousness in his life.

As always, there's a tiny bit of angst, but nothing that makes you want to throw your kindle across the room. It's a blip in the overall happy story.

When Georgie, our effervescent heroine, verbally spars with Andrew, a stuffy suitor, sparks fly in the best possible ways. They may be on fire, but can they keep the flame burning or will their differences make them fizzle out? Perfect for romance fans seeking their next HEA...

To be honest, WALK OF SHAME wasn't one of my favorite books from Lauren Layne, but I did enjoy it. As always, the banter between the main characters was great! But I did feel like there was a little bit of *something* that was missing.

Socialite Georgianna "Georgie" Watkins life as a party-girl is starting to feel a little blah, and a little lonely. She's ready for some change. In walks the perfect distraction in the form of her neighbor Andrew Mulroney, a divorce attorney for the rich and famous.

Andrew and Georgie clash right from the beginning. She finds him to be too uptight, and he finds her to be ridiculous. All this clashing, however, just masks the fact that they are utterly and completely attracted to one another. But can two people who come from two totally different worlds make it work?

Walk of Shame was such a fun surprise of a read. I mean I've enjoyed other books by Lauren Layne, but this one just hit all the marks for me perfectly. The initial back-and-forth between Georgie and Andrew is absolutely delicious. I loved that even though they were unsure about each other and about their feelings for each at first, there was still this devotion they had to one another. Neither one was willing to let their feelings go, even when other opportunities arose.

I loved that Georgie kind of destroys all stereotype expectations that Andrew has about her in the beginning. Just because she comes from money, doesn't have to work, and enjoys staying out all night partying, doesn't mean that she's shallow, or brainless or mean. Georgie is sweet and vivacious. Able to make anyone her friend in a matter of minutes with her outgoing personality. It's not a faked personality either, she's genuine.

Once Andrew discovers this, he starts to look at Georgie in a new light, and thereby looks at himself in a new light. Andrew is not the typical, self-assured, handsome, ladies man. For one thing, he's pretty much a genius, and he's worked hard and skipped grades in order to graduate law school at an extremely early age, then making partner at his law-firm by thirty. These are wonderful accomplishments, but he's also been an outsider for most of his life. So his people skills aren't the best, which is clear in the way he deals with Georgie in certain situations, but he tries, and he too is genuinely a nice guy. Georgie helps him break out of his shell a little bit.

Of course there's going to be conflict, and I thought that the conflict that Lauren Layne threw into the mix was extremely plausible. It went along with the story and the characters very well and didn't seem to come out of left-field at all.

Walk of Shame was such a quick read. I would say the only downside was the limited fleshing out of the secondary characters. Namely, Andrew's brother and sister-in-law, and Georgie's mom and dad. They are integral components to both Andrew and Georgie, but I felt like there were a few areas and interactions that I wanted more from.

Otherwise, this was the perfect read for me. Despite the fact that this is #4 in a series, there was absolutely nothing that kept it from being a standalone. I haven't even read the other books, and I was still able to enjoy this one.

I absolutely loved everything about Walk of Shame. It was another amazing Lauren Layne book I can add to my collection that not only made me laugh and swoon, but one that put a big cheesy smile on my face the entire time I was reading it. This was a perfect enemies to lover romance that was sexy, snarky and so damn clever. It was one of her best books she has ever written and I never wanted it to end.

Andrew and Georgia were perfect together. But pure opposites at first glance. He was a rigid, follow ALL the rules, sarcastic and workaholic divorce attorney who looked at love as something that inevitably failed and she was a sassy, optimistic, sweet and caring socialite who was still waiting for her Prince Charming. But what happens when these neighbors inevitably clash and butt heads? Fireworks, folks! Ms. Sweet and Sassy and Mr. Control Freak go head to head in a battle of wits and antics that will have you dying of laughter and all of the swoons. But what happens when lingering secrets come to a head? Will Mr. Commitment-Phobic be able to give Georgie what she needs?

This was an amazing Lauren Layne book that I could not read fast enough. It had amazing chemistry, humor and a connection that was to die for. I can't wait for her next one!
