WALK OF SHAME is the fourth installment in Lauren Layne’s contemporary, adult LOVE UNEXPECTEDLY romance series. This is high powered, divorce attorney Andrew Mulroney, and heiress Georgianna Watkins’s story line. WALK OF SHAME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from first person point of view (Georgianna), and third person perspective (Andrew) WALK OF SHAME follows the building relationship between divorce attorney Andrew Mulroney, and heiress Georgianna Watkins. Georgianna is a party girl but the late nights (early mornings) are starting to catch up with our heroine so much so that Georgie schedules her arrival at home at the same time her ‘surly’ neighbor Andrew Mulroney leaves for the gym. Their tempestuous back and forth/ sexually charged banter pushes all of Andrew’s buttons until the day Andrew crosses a line with his snark and rude comments. From a hot, steamy kiss to nursing one another back to health following a raging case of the flu, Andrew and Georgie will face the future until the future comes crashing down.

Andrew Mulroney is a genius; a stuffed shirt who struggles with his attraction to the vibrant and vivacious, over the top tabloid princess Georgianna Watkins. Believing our heroine is nothing more than a spoiled heiress Andrew tries to keep his distance but Georgie is determined to prove that they belong with one another. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense without the use of sexually graphic, over the top language and text.

The world building focuses on the building relationship between Andrew and Georgia, and Andrew’s struggle to let Georgie into his life. Andrew’s famous self control and cold exterior hide a heart and soul that has difficulty letting go or falling in love. But Andrew keeps secret some information that if revealed will destroy Georgie’s life, and in the end will destroy his relationship with the woman with whom he is falling in love.

WALK OF SHAME is a sweet storyline with a heroine whose witty banter and endearing charm will make you smile, and pull you in to a tale about two people whose lives will collide in more ways than one. The premise is entertaining and lighthearted; the romance is captivating and sensual; the characters are passionate and inspiring. WALK OF SHAME is delightful read with a playful heroine, and a hero who struggles between head and heart.

Just like all of the other books by this author, I loved this story. Always written with wit and grace. I recommend every book by Lauren Layne to my friends

Really sweet enemies to lovers romance. I loved the banter between Georgie and Andrew. Opposites attract and a good amount of steam - I really enjoyed this one!

I don't know what went wrong for me here, I liked this book, it was a good solid story with interesting characters that had more to them that met the eye. I really tried to love it more, but something was missing for me.

Georgie is a Manhattan socialite, she comes from money and other than the odd bit of charity work, she doesn't do much else except party all night and lunch with her friends. She sounds really dull, but quite surprisingly she was very likeable and had a good sense of humour.

Andrew is one of New York's best divorce attorney's and he was as moody as they come, his encounters with Georgie when he was going out as she was coming in at 5 am, were funny and full of all that love/hate sexual tension I love.

There was lots of back and forth banter, and I did enjoy their gradual progression from enemies to lovers, it was really sweet, and pretty hot when push came to shove.

Overall, it was a likeable story, and would definitely recommend to LL fans and lovers of love/hate banter.

Fun, witty, and great writing! Loved this from start to finish. Ms. Layne nailed it with the perfect blend of bringing out all the character personalities and quirks without over doing it. Story line and character kept you engaged and wanting to read more- so much that I found myself finishing the book and realizing that my "I'll just read a bit before bed" became "I just finished the whole book and will hate getting up in a few hours". Great book for range of ages. Look forward to more!

Walk of Shame (Love Unexpectedly) by Lauren Layne
This is heiress Georgianna "Georgie" Watkins and celebrity divorce attorney Andrew Mulroney's story.

This was a really fun and entertaining story! Georgie and Andrew are opposites but they are perfect for each other. I loved the banter and chemistry between them.

I loved this story! I was hooked from the beginning to end. The sex scenes were minimal but the ones it did have were really hot and steamy! This is a must read! So, kick back and escape into Georgie and Andrew's world.

FYI, contains mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I can't recall enjoying a main character in a book as much as I did Georgie. This was one of those books I read slowly to draw it out because I didn't want to lose her company. She was not just delightful, but also authentic and real.
It is unfortunately rare to find a well drawn female character who is wealthy and well educated but not mean, bitchy and shallow. - or at least oblivious to people around her who are not in her social circle. Georgie was not perfect, but even her flaws were sort of heartwarming.
Andrew was also an engaging character, and the author took care to explain the roots of his personality style. Despite that, I never felt we got to know him as well as Georgie.
The plot of this tale wasn't especially unique or fresh, an attraction between two seemeingly opposite people and overcoming the obstacles created by their differences. But I have honestly never read a story that tells it in such a charming and engrossing way.

Another great title by Lauren Layne. Georgie and Andrew are fun, flirty and fantastic in this latest book. I didn't want to put this read down.

This was such a fun, feel-good read. It locked me in and kept me addicted to the two main characters. WALK OF SHAME had an office-feel, even though it wasn't really set in an office, mainly due to one of the MCs Andrew. Uptight, proper and lacking in understanding of the word fun is what describes Andrew, but he's a top divorce attorney and work is his life. Living across from Georgie seems to be one of the biggest challenges of his day. I started off thinking Georgie was vapid and annoying but she was actually very sweet, innocuous and kind, if a little lacking in life goals. These two are not a match but they sure had something. A delicious frenemies ensues.

"If you're wondering what Andrew Mulroney looks like while he's in workout mode, picture this: Thor and Captain America somehow defeat biology and have a love child together. And call him Andrew."

There's nothing simple about bringing the differences of Andrew and Georgie together but it made hilarious reading, with a slice of adorable. I really did love these two together, their bantering conversation was great to read. This wasn't a deep book, with depth of emotion and connection but it was such vicarious fun to ride the train with them.

This was my first book by Lauren Layne and I now want to read everything by her. If she can create Andrew, I have high hopes for who else I'll find in her back catalogue.

A copy of this book was provided by the publisher through netgalley in return for a honest review.

Walk of Shame
Lauren Layne
5 "Ridiculously Perfect" Stars
Oh my! Such a sweet and sassy romantic story.

Pampered heiress Georgianna Watkins has a party-girl image to maintain, but all the shopping and clubbing is starting to feel a little bit hollow—and a whole lot lonely. Though Georgie would never admit it, the highlights of her week are the mornings when she comes home at the same time as her uptight, workaholic neighbor is leaving to hit the gym and put in a long day at the office. Teasing him is the most fun Georgie’s had in years—and the fuel for all her naughtiest daydreams.

Celebrity divorce attorney Andrew Mulroney doesn’t have much time for women, especially spoiled tabloid princesses who spend more time on Page Six than at an actual job. Although Georgie’s drop-dead gorgeous, she’s also everything Andrew resents: the type of girl who inherited her penthouse instead of earning it. But after Andrew caps one of their predawn sparring sessions with a surprise kiss—a kiss that’s caught on camera—all of Manhattan is gossiping about whether they’re a real couple. And nobody’s more surprised than Andrew to find that the answer just might be yes.

I absolutely loved this one. The sassy and sarcastic banter between Georgie and Andrew was hilarious!

Okay this is definitely my fav Lauren Layne book so far!

If your ready to become addicted, grab your copy now and start reading. You won't be able to put it down once you begin.

Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

3.5 stars

This was fun and lighthearted but my least favorite of the series so far. And if I can say that and still rate it 3.5 stars that should show just how good these have been.

WALK OF SHAME is just the right blend of everything I love in a book. It is a delightfully funny, feel good story. It has great writing, witty dialogue, memorable characters and the story immediately drew me and I never wanted it to end.

Georgiana (Georgie) Wilkins is a socialite. She doesn't work, she just enjoys life. She stays out all night and sleeps during the day. She spends her time shopping, having her hair done, working on charity events and going to clubs with her friends. She is fun loving, has a bubbly personality and she gets along with everyone. She is the exact opposite of Andrew Mulroney. Andrew is an uptight attorney who lives in the same upscale building as Georgie. Every morning they pass each other as Andrew is leaving for work and Georgie is coming home from another fun night on the town.

Andrew is the most famous divorce attorney in the city. He is also a workaholic and follows a rigorous schedule. He sneers at Georgie's frivolous lifestyle and Georgie loves to say things to get under Andrew’s skin. It is highly entertaining as they lobby snarky remarks as they pass each other every morning.

Andrew thinks Georgie is self indulgent and useless yet, he can't help but notice how attractive she is. There is a lot of sexual tension and verbal foreplay between Andrew and Georgie and they are confused by what they are feeling. Andrew is super smart, formal and hard working. He is the total opposite of Georgie’s friendly, relaxed demeanor. Andrew has never met anyone like Georgie and isn't sure how to act around her or what to say. Even though they are the exact opposite, they are good for each other. Georgie helps Andrew loosen up and Andrew helps Georgie take life more seriously. It is fun watching these two together and I also enjoyed the entertaining secondary characters. Perfection!

This was a little treat that I enjoyed more than expected. I really liked the banter between the two complete opposites, and how they were sometimes uncharacteristically there for each other at times when before they realized what/that they were doing so. And of course, how they slowly fell for each other in ways they didn't expect.

Lauren Layne does it again with another great, fun read! Layne is on my list of "must read each new book" authors. This series is fun and quick to read. I completely fall for her characters and find myself deep into their story and hoping for their happily ever after.

Georgiana is a party girl and finds herself coming home at 5am from an evening of club hopping, let's just say, pretty often. Andrew is a divorce lawyer, he's a type-A personality and a driven workaholic. He finds himself leaving at 5am to head to the gym, like clockwork. The two keep finding themselves in the lobby of their shared building quite often but they could not be less alike. Andrew finds Georgie ridiculous in every way and Georgie loves to keep Andrew annoyed. These two have the perfect "we can’t be right for each other" chemistry! Man, the miscues were perfection and Andrew was a complete jerk enough times to make you want to strangle him. BUT, you wanted the two to make it. Something about these stories draws me in wholeheartedly. Layne can write a helluva good angsty couple. Can’t wait for the next one!

As much as I enjoyed reading Walk of Shame there was a small part of mildly annoyed by Georgie, the main character. That's not to say I didn't like Georgie, because she was such a fun character with her quick wit and an endearing personality, but I just wish maybe her character had a job that wasn't just being a NYC socialite planning charities and living off of her inheritance from her grandmother. However, all in all though, it was still a great read and I think fans of Lauren Layne will have no trouble warming up to Georgie!

Heiress Georgie Watkins has a party girl image to maintain, which is how she ends up doing a verbal sparring session most mornings with celebrity divorce attorney, Andrew Mulroney, as he leaves for the gym and a long day at the office. Those mornings are starting to become what Georgie looks forward to when she's on her way in after a late night out.

Andrew thinks Georgie is a spoiled "Park Ave Princess" who inherited her penthouse without earning it, but one early morning sparring session turns into an unexpected heated kiss caught on camera by the paparazzi. Suddenly sparks are flying between the cynical divorce lawyer and the NYC socialite...

I quickly became a fan of Lauren Layne after reading the Wedding Belles series, which I absolutely adored and highly recommend! Although Walk of Shame wasn't quite as endearing to me as the Wedding Belles were, it was still another great happily ever after read by Layne and I am definitely excited to see what she writes next!

FOUR STARS for Lauren Layne's Walk of Shame.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is another in the series (each of which is a standalone) of really enjoyable flights of romantic fun. This story is about the party girl who wants more, the divorce lawyer who didn't want anything, and how they both need each other.

Here we have two perfectly ridiculously opposite characters who somehow just fit magically together. The journey is full of fun, hope, and smidgeons of sadness. Ms. Layne builds up her leads without overdoing the description, but more by giving us their inner thoughts and being clear about their relationships with others. This ensures that the reader is completely absorbed in the story and as the passion develops, the pages just demand to be turned.

Really good read, enjoy!

Seriously, where have I been that I've never read a Lauren Layne book before now?! I have never read one of her books before but the blurb sounded so cute when I saw the blog tour sign up that I just had to request a copy. I'm soooo happy I was chosen to receive one because I loved this book so much!

It really hooked me from page 1 and the dialog was so snappy and fun that I didn't want to stop reading. I loved both Andrew and Georgiana from the start and their on-going banter with each other kept a smile on my face the entire time I was reading. If all Lauren Layne books are like this then I have definitely found a new favorite author. If you are looking for the perfect romance that will bring a smile to your face then definitely pick up Walk of Shame! You definitely won't regret it.

I was gifted this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion. I wasn't sure where this book was going. But this book quickly sucked me in and I found it hard to put down. We have the cute and quirky Georgie, then there's the way too uptight brainiac Andrew. Who would think these two, type A and type B would be a match? Apparently, opposites do attract! A sweet romance that I give a big thumbs up to! Loved it!
