A well done procedural with a good lead character in DI Elaine Hope. This one will keep you guessing. Thanks to netgalley for the arc.

DI Elaine Hope doesn’t believe in diplomacy, her job is to take down the bad guys and she doesn’t care who she pisses off in the offing. Her colleagues at the police station don’t like the way she works, the fact that she’s showed their latest investigation to be little more than a witch hunt doesn’t help. The press, meanwhile is screaming for blood. Why is there a killer roaming the streets? What are the police doing? Elaine doesn’t care, she and her trainee Liz Barker are pursuing the killer on their own terms. But Elaine has made plenty of enemies in London, and she may not just be the hunter, she may be the hunted. Elaine is a kick ass, take no prisoners heroine in this solid British police procedural
