This anthology is a collection of new short stories by 18 amazing authors for a worthy cause! I have read only a couple stories so far and have been blown away with how wonderfully satisfying they have been. The stories were intriguing and engaging, I cared for the characters, and the sex scenes were hot, sexy and titillating! I started with Free Agent by Robin Covington. I fell in Love with DC & Etienne while they explored their attraction for each other and faced the struggles of living in different cities. They were both strong, loving and thoughtful characters and it was beautiful how they opened up to each other. Their story was so honest and heartwarming and very hot and sexy!
The second book was Blade by Avery Flynn. This second chance romance is part of the B-Squad world. Former thief turned Jazz club owner, Gillie Pike, and bad boy goalie, Flynn Kazakov, separated on bad terms years ago, breaking both their hearts. Now Gillie has been offered a job to frame Flynn with the theft of the Cup. When Gillie shows up out of the blue to tell Flynn she is there to help him, he finds it hard to believe. But he can't deny that he is still in love with her so he gives her a chance. But can he trust his best friends sister after all she put him thru? Gillie is strong, and stubborn and determined to protect Flynn. When things get out of her control, they have to call in the B-Squad which includes her brother, Marcus. This is an exciting, exhilarating and very hot and sexy story. For a quick read, it has everything I look for in a story and is very satisfying. I love the B-Squad series and it set up the next book beautifully. I can't wait for more of the B-Squad!
I have thoroughly enjoyed the books I've read so far and am sure the rest will be just as sexy, romantic and engaging. This is a must have anthology when you are looking for a quick sexy romance story!

Check My Heart by Christi Barth:
Loved Kurt & Lisette! A great story about loss and finding your passion.
In Skates Trouble by Kate Meader:
Oh man, this was one hot story. Loved Addy for her confidence and Ford for his impulsiveness!

Even if you are not a hockey fan you need to get this set, just for the HOT players alone. A great group of authors all pulling you into their stories from the start. I haven't read all of the stories yet but I cannot wait to finish this set.

In the hockey big leagues, when a team wins the chanpionship, each player gets the championship cup for one day to celebrate their big win. This is the story of New Orleans Cajun Rage's championship summer. Each of these eighteen stories chronicles a different player's cup celebration.
Being a Canadian who was a rink rat in my teens, I knew I was going to love this anthology the moment I heard about it and I pre-ordered as soon as it became available.
Hot on Ice contains stories from several of my go to favourite authors so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed, and I was right. The stories here run the gamut from second time around to paranormal to male/male and everything between. Each story offers a hot hockey player and a great supporting cast including an obsessed stalker, a gay physiotherapist, a fire hall administrator and so many more. There are far too many to tell you about all of them, but here are just a few:
Breakaway Brooke – Angie Morgan
A story from the Bodyguards in Heels series. A sweet love story with a bit of intrigue and just a touch of paranormal “woowoo” powers.
Deep Check – Kimberly Kincaid
I wouldn't normally expect firefighters in a hockey story but Kincaid makes it work in this hot but sweet story that proves that sometimes the only way to move forward is to go back to where it all started.
Blocked- Heather Long
Heather is a “new to me” author but I'll definitely be back for more. This celebrity romance was warm, sexy and often funny. It offers a gentle reminder that under the glits and glamour the stars are just people with the same vulnerabilities, flaws and needs as the fans and media who pursue them.
Free Agent – Robin Covington
I'm not normally an M/M romance reader but nobody writes them better than Robin Covington. I fell in love with D.C and the smooth talking Cajun Etienne. I'm guessing you might too.
Under the Midnight Sun – Kim Golden
They say you should write what you know, so Kim takes us to her home country of Sweden for this story about an aging hockey “enforcer” who finds out sometimes you can go home again.
Those are less than a third of the stories you'll get in this fantastic collection. Even if the authors weren't offering the profits to a very worthwhile charity, at about 6 cents each I got FAR MORE than my moneys worth.

Fun, flirty, sexy and sweet!

Review for In Skates Trouble by Kate Meader
Famous plus-sized model, Addison Williams wants to rebuild her independent life and career after her divorce and she’s in Chicago to focus on just that. She never could have predicted that the seductive eavesdropping voice from her next door hotel neighbor would go from one sexy faceless and nameless evening to adventurous shenanigans and then some.

NHL cup-winning right winger Ford Callahan didn’t tell his brother he was arriving in Chicago a couple of days early to be alone with his demons. Turns out he wasn’t as alone as he thought. As he hears women’s laughter coming from the next door balcony, he can’t help but want to know what they were talking about. As the saucy conversation ends and the owner of the sexiest voice he’s ever heard calls him out from the darkness on his eavesdropping, their anonymous flirtation turns into a night they won’t soon forget.

Unwilling to let her slip through his fingers, Ford is determined to find her. But will he pursue her and risk his career once he finds out she’s his boss’ ex?

One of the reasons I love reading books by Kate Meader is that she always makes me smile. I was grinning like a loon by the first few pages with Ford’s snooping mischief and shameless flirtatiousness, fanning myself by chapter two and halfway in love with him by chapter four. He wanted a relationship with a meaningful connection and he knew it would be with Addy pursuing her relentlessly. Addy is equally likeable and I loved their banter, chemistry and relationship development.

I really didn’t want this novella to end. Meader had me completely charmed with this couple and totally on board to read the next book in her series. But with this anthology we do get so much more out of it, as there are 17 other stories by great authors, some I know some I can’t wait to read all for a great price and the added benefit of helping out as 20% of royalties from sales of Hot on Ice will go to Homes for US Troops, a charity that builds specially modified homes for injured veterans.

In Skates Trouble is novella #0.5 and the kickoff to the Chicago Rebels a standalone contemporary romance by Kate Meader. It is a short, hot and easy to read story. Told from both points of view and has a happy ending.

I only read In Skates Trouble by Kate Meader.
It was a great start for her new series, it was sexy and funny with a great hero, sadly I didnt connect with the heroine, despite this only aspect, it was well written, with an interesting story and like I said, a good start of the new series.

Deep Check. Hot on Ice Kimberly Kincaid

In this novella by Ms. Kincaid we meet hockey super star Finnegan Donnelly of the New Orleans Rage. His life has been focused on this moment, winning THE CUP, for the last seven years since he left his home town to pursue his dream. Leaving Remington he left his best friend after a terrible argument and the woman who has always had his heart.

January Sinclair is the administrator for Station Seventeen fire house and she works the A-shift. She loves her job, although right now her life is full of a fundraiser she has to plan, her dad, a detective in the local police force who has horrible eating habits and putting the grief for her lost brother Asher in a box in her heart. Asher, a fireman, lost his life in the line of duty. January also tries to box her feelings for Asher's best friend hockey player Finn Donnelly.

After winning the cup, each player gets a day with the Cup and it's Keeper Edwin Mitzi. Finn is bringing it home to Remington and Asher's grave, the one person who always knew he would win. The sparks ignite immediately between January and Finn and it's impossible to forget their past love.

This is a delightful second chance romance that brings forgiveness and healing. Not to mention the magic the Cup seems to bring with it.

I received this novella from the publisher and Netgalley for review.

Hot on Ice: A Hockey Romance Anthology.......Oh my goodness, this is an amazing Anthology with fantastic authors and stories. A royal hockey player and a "pop princess"!
5 stars
I was given a free advanced reading copy (by the publisher via Netgalley) of only one of the 18 novellas in this boxed set. I voluntarily wrote this honest review of that novella, and I based my rating on it alone.
I would like to point out that all of the novellas in this boxed set take place in the off-season after a hockey team won the Stanley Cup. Therefore, there is probably not much hockey being played during the novellas, which is true of "Blocked". So if you expect high octane sports excitement during a game, you won't get much if at all.
"Blocked" by Heather Long: 5 stars
I was thoroughly enchanted by this romance novella. I love this pair of intelligent, honest, honorable people and how they interact with each other. Archer Durham, the hockey player with the bad reputation, falls for sweet and spunky Hoshi Sato, the 22-year-old winner of a recent TV singing competition. With her Japanese-American culture, she places great importance on family and respect for her elders. She is trying to navigate her new-found fame, and then her brother gets arrested, making her more of a target for the paparazzi. Archer is a minor member of a European royal family and an infamous hockey player with years of experience with this kind of thing, so, like a white knight, he helps Hoshi deal with the paparazzi. Archer is a complicated character, and I love how honest he is with himself and those around him. I really liked both main characters.
I have never encountered a "pop princess" in a romance novel, but maybe I just have not been looking for one. The situation in this novella is different from any that I have read, and it was refreshing. There was nothing stereotypical about the characters, in my opinion. I really enjoyed it, and I am going to buy Heather Long's previous books about Archer's royal relatives. I loved this novella so much that I think only it is worth the purchase price, so an additional 17 novellas sounds like a great deal!

What a deal on 18 hot romances that have two things in common, "the cup" and sexy men of the hockey team of the Rage. Their team just won the cup. I have only read one story from this collection but I'm planning a weekend marathon of reading. I highly recommend this deal, will only be available for a short time.

Deep Check by Kimberly Kincaid. Finn has returned home after wining the cup to make amends with January. They were good friends growing up until a mishap in their teenage years. January is a station administrator of Station Seventeen. Oh how I love Station Seventeen!! A great story of rediscovering love between Finn and January.

This Review is for DEEP CHECK, USA Today Bestseller Kimberly Kincaid

I just love the first responders at Station 17. Something about their group dynamics makes a realistic and fun story for everyone around them. January is a member of Station 17, while Finn is a professional hockey player. I was curious how this would play out, but shouldn’t have worried. Who could resist super sexy Finn. It’s a lovely contemporary romance with some spicy sex packed into a quick story. I enjoyed it a lot.

Hot hockey players? Yes please! 18 hot hockey players - Oh hell yeah!! These are the stories of the players of the Cajun Rage as they each have their day with the cup! I've only had a chance to read a few of these stories so far but they have made the purchase price for this series well worth it and I expect the rest to be just as amazing. Each story I've read is a 5 star read! Put this one on the must read list. I highly recommend it.

Deep Check by Kimberly Kincaid - After winning "The Cup" with the Rage, Finn Donnelly returns to Remington, NC to face the demons of his past. Surprisingly, clearing up the past helps him find the path for his future.

In Skates Trouble by Kate Meader - With his day with The Cup Ford Callaghan returns to Chicago to share the win with his family. Never did he expect to meet the woman of his dreams. One little problem. She's the ex of the Rage's team owner. Career ending?? (Bonus: This is the beginning of a new series!!)

Courage by Lena Hart - Mason Courage has just been named as the new head coach for the champion Cajun Rage hockey team. This should be a happy time but when his wife picks now to announce that she wants a divorce his whole world comes crashing down around him. Will he be able to save the most important thing in his life?

Checking Yes by Misty Waters - On his day with the cup Cooper Banks just wants to show his Pops that he kept his promise to him. Hopefully though, returning to Dove Harbor, GA will not only let him do this but also repair his strained relationship with his brother as well as give him the second chance he desperately wants with the woman who owns his heart - Savannah Jane.

Ransom by Nana Malone - Ransom Cox is excited to go home and give his mom the best birthday gift ever - a day with the cup! Proving that all her hard work and sacrifices have finally paid off. Seeing Lexa Carlisle, the woman of all his fantasies, again is the last thing he expected and the one thing that may blow his whole world apart.

SCORE! I’ve read each and every one of these stories and they are all fantastic! Despite being sports romances they all manage to be unique. You are not going to find a better collection anywhere for any price and the fact that a portion of the proceeds go for such a great cause there is no excuse not to buy this book.
I am not going to review each story individually but I will mention a few of my favorite surprises.
BEAR NAKED, Katie Kenyhercz - I loved reading about a First Nations player and learning a bit about his culture.
COURAGE, Lena Hart – This was the only story about a married couple. I loved watching them struggle to work it out.
BLOCKED, Heather Long – I giggled my way through this bad boy does good story. A fun addition to the Royals.
CAGED, Virginia Nelson – You have to let go of the hurt to let love in.
FREE AGENT, Robin Covington – m/m This story shows the incredible courage of an out gay hockey player and the kids he is trying to reach.
THE WARM UP, Xio Axelrod – If you can read this one without tearing up you are stronger than me.
Each and every story in this collection will tug your heart strings and make you love the guys of Rage.

Holy mackerel! Not only is this a great group of authors who have gotten together to write these stories, but the stories themselves are wonderful! I am not a big hockey fan but this book and another series have made me appreciate the sport. Great read!

I totally loved the three stories I’ve read, so far, in the Hot on Ice anthology collection. The New Orleans Rage has won the Stanley Cup and each story follows one of the members from this team and their day with Cup.

Free Agent Times by Robin Covington is Jamie “DC” Washington’s day with the Stanley Cup. Jamie came out of the closet earlier in the season. Now he is a free agent, trying to get picked up by the Washington DC team so he can go home. When he’s in DC, Jamie spends time with the LBGTQ kids, which is where he goes with the Stanley Cup. Etienne, the Rage’s Physical Therapist, travels to DC to visit a friend on the same plane as Jamie. The attraction and chemistry between these two men is amazing. The heat just sizzles when they are near one another. Ms. Covington wrote an amazing story exploring the gay world in DC. Since Jamie is moving back to Washington DC can he and Etienne manage a long distance relationship?

Blade by Avery Flynn is Flynn Kazakov’s story and his a day with the Stanley Cup. Flynn plans to celebrate with his hometown of Snow Bay, Michigan. Gillie Pike loved Flynn when he lived in Dallas but ruined any future they had when he gave her an alibi to save her from being arrested. Gillian was a burglar, stealing for an organization, earning money to pay for college. After three years of being clean she’s approached to steal the Cup while in Flynn’s possession and hiding it in his home. She agrees but only so she can warn Flynn as payback for saving her. Arriving in Flynn’s hometown, he is more than a little wary of Gillie and her story. However, the attraction and chemistry between these two is amazing. The heat just sizzles when they are near one another. Ms. Flynn wrote an amazing story allowing these two to have a second chance and introduce the readers to her B-Squad series.

Deep Check by Kimberly Kincaid is Finn Donnelly’s story and his day with the Stanley Cup. Finn plans to take the cup to the grave of his best friend from high school, Asher, back in his hometown of Remington, North Carolina. He wants to keep it low key, away from the media. January Sinclair was best friends with Finn and Asher in high school, all the while having a crush on Finn. Finn left town shortly after graduation to play in the hockey minor league, leaving behind his two friends. January now works at Station Seventeen, keeping the place organized and running smoothly. Yet, when these two meet up again, the attraction and chemistry between these two is still there. The heat just sizzles when they are near one another. Ms. Kincaid wrote an amazing story allowing these two to have a second chance and introduce readers to her Station Seventeen series.

These were wonderful, sexy, and entertaining stories with very likeable and authentic characters. The characters were well written with complex characteristics. The sex scenes were amazing. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I enjoyed reading each of these stories and had trouble stopping. I highly recommend this book to other readers.

I voluntarily reviewed complimentary copies of these stories.

I accepted this as an ARC because there was a prequel novella for Kate Meader's new series Chicago Rebel in it. I loved it! I'm so excited for it now. Ford and Addison have amazing chemistry. Fans of her Hot In Chicago series will devour this and anticipate this series as much as I am now.

I did read several of the other authors parts in this anthology and they were all great. This is a wonderful collection and I encourage you to one click this now!

This was a fun introduction into the Chicago Rebels. I really liked Ford and Addison and their off the charts Chemistry. I can't wait to see what happens with the rest of the Rebels.
