I received this book from Netgalley and loved it. It was not deep or too emotional. I love Leslie North's books and can't wait to read more.

This is a feel good book. The story has potential and needs a little work in the romance area.

Sheikh Khalid Al-Qasimi was ready to marry when wedding was interrupted by a journalist Casey.. She was researching arrange marriage. When marriage was botched thanks to Casey, he has a month to find a new bride. Since there was no marriage for Khalid, he decided to come with a plan and keep his words to his father as well.
All Casey had to do was play fiancee and she will get her exclusive interview with his former bride and his father.
Khalid’s father is not against Casey being a westerner and he is taken with her. Now Khalid had to find a way to botch his own wedding. What will he need to do since time is coming up shortly.....

It just seems like their relationship was rushed....
But it had happy ending.

I loved reading the fabulous and fantastic romantic story by the best selling author Leslie North. I voluntarily reviewed a copy from NetGalley.
When Sheikh Khalid Al-Qasimi’, the notorious playboy, and Journalist Casey Connolly meet under unusual circumstances, Khalid has a deal for Casey. Khalid wants Casey to pretend to be his fiance' to aggravate his father and please the media.
Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written full of romance and chemistry, and a must read love story of Khalid and Casey.

I believe it is impossible to ever be sated by Leslie North's stories. Each one a unique twist on the familiar tale of love and family drama- not to mention the cultural differences that frequently come to light.

Witty, funny and super sexy! I can never wait for the next one!

Casey Connolly is a journalist on a mission to expose arranged marriages. She interrupts Sheikh Khalid Al-Qasim's marriage. Khalid was given a choice to marry or face banishment. When his marriage is interrupted and Casey jailed, he decides the best way to escape the forced marriage is to have a false engagement to the unacceptable Casey. Will the false engagement develop into true love?

I absolutely love Leslie North's Sheikhs. Khalid was the hot hero and Casey was the strong heroine. This was a great read.

I received this ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. I did not receive payment for my review. Thank you.

This story was short and sweet. It was predictable but a cute story to read after a stressful day.

Sheikh Khalid Al Qasimi playboy days are over after a scandal during a diplomatic visit to America Khalid had been given a choice marry or face banishment. Khalid was not ready to say goodbye to his brothers or his country. Khalid understood his father's reasoning but the main reason was it would combine both families wealth. Khalid thought when he finally married it would be for love like his father. But here he was to marry Fadiyah until an American woman broke into the room and started asking about arranged marriages. Then Fadiyah burst into tears and said she could not marry anyone that she would not be treated like a barrel of oil. Casey had been arrested and she had been in her cell for two days. Casey was an investigative journalist and this wasn’t the first time she had ended up in jail. Casey often had to call her boss Luke to be bailed out. But she had not even been allowed a call. Khalid showed up at Casey's’ cell and told Casey if she pretended to be his fiance she would be released to him. Also his father may decide he did not want such an outspoken woman for a daughter and release Khalid from his promise to marry in a month. Casey agreed as long as Khalid helped her get an inside story on arranged marriages. After she was released Khalid took Casey to the palace as she had one hour to get ready to meet the Sultan as Khalid’s fiance. Casey knew there was an attraction between her and Khalid.
I liked this story a lot but didn’t feel it was really realistic. But this is definitely a fun and quick read. I liked the plot and the fact that their are still arranged marriages in today's’ world. I felt the attraction was insta/attraction as was the love but for this story it was fine. I liked that Khalid finally stood up to his father and toke his brother’s place so the wedding didn’t happen. All and all a good read. I liked the plot a lot. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story. I recommend.

[book:The Sheikh's Forced Bride|34196436]
Kindle Edition
Published 6 February 2016
Publisher: Relay Publishing
Genre: Romance, New Adult

3.5 stars

I have mixed feelings about this book. Yes, it is definitely a good read. But there are parts where the plot loses its way. Grammatical and spelling errors, although not so many but definitely noticeable, didn't help, either. I find the transformation of the Sheikh from playboy to wildly in love extremely lacking, making it not so believable to the point that I feel their marriage will not last long. Even the sudden, swift change in the Sultan's attitude towards his sons was not entirely convincing, and as a reader I regretfully felt the story was rushed near the end.

One thing's for sure, though. I will never look at honey the same way as before.

I am very grateful to Netgalley and Relay Publishing for giving me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Entertaining story. Casey is a typical pushy reporter. When she interrupts the wedding of Khalid, she ends up in the middle of her own story.

Quick read, can finish in one sitting. Some of Ms. North's books become repetitive and a little too similar to previous ones, but this one was refreshingly different. No cliffhanger. The first in a new series, I'm sure the brother's stories will be ones to look forward to!

Ah, I am so glad I have not given up on Leslie North, after the last series. With The Sheikh's Forced Bride she is back to her best self, writing a strong romance novel, that has everything you want for a quick read.

I love both main characters, Khalid and Casey are headstrong people from different background, who still have a lot to learn about life, and about themselves. They empower each other in an unexpected way, even if their connection is first a connection of convenience.

What I also really enjoyed are the minor characters, where I can see more stories emerging shortly. Of course, this will happen, as it is the first book in Leslie’s new series, and I am looking forward to seeing what each of them will have to deal with.

I think this is a wonderful Valentine's day read, perfect to cuddle up on the couch with a glass of wine, and a couple of candles.

I have to admit I was interested in this story because I do not read a lot with Sheikh's in them. But I ended up very disappointed. I felt that the "romance" and attraction was a bit forced. I could not connect with any of the characters.
