The plot was thrilling, unique and gripping with vivid and strong description and amazing characters. I loved it and would recommend it to everyone who is a mystery or thriller fan. This was perfect and left me wanting more.

‘Old Game, New Players’ is ‘Episode 3’ in ‘Season 2’ of The Witch Who Came In From The Cold, a fantasy novel from multiple authors published episodically in a series of novellas. The novellas and both seasons follow a single cohesive narrative. It is therefore vital that you have read all the previous episodes in both Seasons before you tackle this latest one.
If you have done so then you can be assured that Old Game, New Players maintains the solid form of Season 2. The improved pace and cohesiveness of the story compared to Season 1 continues. There’s very little padding and the story continues its forward momentum. There are no major shocks or twists but there’s plenty of incident to hold the reader’s attention.
