Seeing the passion for the Women's March expressed in signs and crowd photos takes this one step away from angry politics and shows the unity for a cause. Some of the signs are disturbing as they should be, but most are full of hope and strong beliefs. That is what makes this country great and it will be celebrated. Young people need to see that peaceful demonstrations for a common cause can sway opinion. My thanks to the publisher for giving me a sneak peek of a book with a powerful message of hope.

This book was a great look into all ,the different marches. It was nice to be able to see all the different signs from all over the world showing that there are plenty of people who are united for equality for everyone!

I loved Why We March! The portraits of the protesting crowds for the Women’s March all over the United States and other parts of the world on January 21, 2017 is so well thought out and put together into a hearty tome. Quotes by famous women meant to empower the reader through the tough times ahead are positioned well throughout the book. I finished it feeling inspired, with a sense of togetherness on a larger scale than I already felt. I’ll definitely be encouraging my circle and my library to purchase this.

Beautiful "coffee table book"! The design and layout are great. I love the quotes on their own pages mixed in with the photos of protesters and their signs.

This book is literally what the title explains; signs from the Women's March of 2017. There are some touching, some funny, and some sad. I wish there had been more exploration of the themes or maybe a quote from the specific marchers but this is a book for any of the women in your lives. Or the men. For the people who were there in person or watching from home. It's a book for those who agree and a way to talk to those who disagree. A fast read that is worth passing on.

This is a vibrant collection of photos of the Womens' Marches all over the world the day after Trump was inaugurated as president. It is uplifting and beautiful. I only wish there had been more images from some of the smaller marches, or like where I marched, a decently sized march in a very conservative part of a very conservative state. In some ways, there is even more power in the stubborn few than in the enormous masses.

Great reminder of such a historical and inspiring day. This would make a great gift for anyone who had to miss that day due to work or illness.

I really enjoyed this book. It included beautiful photos that captured an important moment in history. I loved reading all the clever, inspiring, amusing, heartfelt, powerful, moving signs created by the women, men, girls, and boys across the country and the world that took to the streets and marched that day. This book really illustrated for me the enormity and reach of the Women's March. Would definitely recommend.

Such an incredibly important book to document global history. I had tears of joy in my eyes as I was reading this book. I'm so proud to be a woman.

"On January 21, 2017, over 5 million people in 673 cities around the globe gathered in solidarity for the Women’s March, carrying signs that shone with unwavering hope and determination and demanded the protection of women’s rights, opposed the newly inaugurated U.S. president, and championed equality and justice for all..."

I was lucky to receive this ARC through NetGalley, and I have already placed my order for another, physical copy. All royalties from the sale of this book will be donated to Planned Parenthood.

This book documents the protestors around the world during the Women's March. I was working that day and watched online. This was momentous, historic, an event memorialized so that we never forget that women's rights are human rights, that love is love, that we are all equal, and that we will not give up no matter what.

Wonderful, honest pictures and statements from people all over the world, not just women. The ones I love the most are the men and women in my age group, 65 and older, holding signs that say, "I can't believe we still have to protest this sh_t." and I agree and say, "Exactly." One sign had a young adult woman holding a sign that read, "1968 is calling, Don't Answer." There are so many good, home-made signs by thousands of people, all ages, all genders, all ethnicities, that just proclaim love, peace and living together. The same message in some ways we said back in the 1970s but fuller and more encompassing. I can't wait to buy the book for me, my daughter, and my son! Thank you Netgalley.

This book, like the march it represented, moved me to tears a few times. The imagery is powerful, thoughtful, funny at times, but always poignant and revealing. Perfectly presented. Well done.

This is a great little collection of photographs from around the world, taken from the 2017 Women's March. It's easy to get bogged down in the clusterf*ck of ongoing events right now. This book serves as a nice reminder of the power of protest, the people, and the numbers fighting for what's right. If you marched anywhere, or marched in spirit, I think this book would make a great keepsake.

This is a wonderful document of the historic womens march from earlier this year. The signs are funny, obscene, hopeful, touching, witty and really make you think. I love the huge diversity of the crowds and just how nation- and world-wide this event was.

I was overwhelmed several times while looking through the pages of this book, crying, my heart swelling with hope for all of us worldwide who are making our voices heard.

As someone who marched in the New York City Women's March, I was thrilled to see this book. As I marched I was overwhelmed by the feeling of solidarity with others and knowing that there were marchers all over the world. I also was so impressed with the creativity of the signs and was wishing I could take pictures of all of the signs I saw. This book satisfied my need to have a collection of signs, and I will probably buy a copy for myself and also order one for the public library that I work in.

I love this book! I showed just the cover to a number of my coworkers and based on only that, we are definitely purchasing it for our library. I did of course go through the rest of this lovely photo book. I love that the marches across the world were included, showing how much of a global reach this movement has. My one wish is that more women of color were included; this isn't to say that they are excluded, but there is definite a slant towards white women.
