One of the biggest movements of our time is an unprecedented world-wide coordinated Women's March held on January 17, 2017. This is compilation of 500 signs from around the world of men, women and children marching. The signs cover women's rights, but they also show their view of other issues like the election, the Affordable Health Care Act, LBGTQ rights and a number of other items. The photographs are beautifully displayed. A few quotes, maybe 10 total, are interspersed throughout. You have to pay special attention to the little pink words under the pictures that show where in the world it was taken. The page with four countries showing the same message was moving.

I did not see my personal favorite sign in the book. ("So bad, even introverts are here.") But, I may have missed it. In any case, like any protest, some of the signs are rude or inappropriate, but it is as much of history as the actual election was. Still, I cannot recommend the book for elementary schools.

Recommended: Grades 7 & up

This book will be beautiful to have on a shelf or coffee table and parts are extremely moving. The one problem I had is that many of the signs had been shown on social media and as such I wouldn't buy the book. With that said I note all profits will go to planned parenthood and the cause is important and I hope the book does excellently. Well done to all the women and men involved.

The Women's March on DC and its sister marches across the world were history in the making. I attended the DC march and saw some of the signs featured in this volume up close and personal. It certainly captures many different aspects of the marches, and the quotes interspersed throughout add a nice touch. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see what it is like to march in an immense sea of people, surrounded by like-minded individuals and how empowering it can feel to show up for a cause, even if you don't immediately feel the effects. The book advertises itself as a collection of signs from the protest, but I think what it really captures is a feeling of hope.

What a great book to memorialize the Women's March of January 2017! Stunning, quality photos of protestors and signs combine with quotes from highly visible participants to make a fantastic historical keepsake. I really enjoyed the different perspectives and the insight into international marches.

This book will be a keepsake and conversation starter for many people - whether in a library, on a coffee table, or in a business waiting room.

A little bit of language is depicted on people's signs. If you are not comfortable with children seeing certain slang words about female anatomy or profanity, wait to show them this book. However, in my opinion, the merits of the content far outweigh the objections regarding profanity.

I will be purchasing this personally as well as adding it to my high school library's collection.

A moving compilation of quotes, signs, and photographs from the many women's marches around the globe--women, children, and men of many different ethnic groups and colors peacefully marching together for change.

Order multiple copies. Every friend you have deserves a copy of this book, either to recall their march or to see what they missed.

Looking through this was like scrolling through Facebook the day after the march. So many great photos of women and others participating in the march in DC, across the country, and around the world. A few viral favorites are in it, too, like the group in Antarctica and the little girl on her dad's shoulders holding up the cardboard sign with scribbles. Interspersed are quotes from some of the speakers that day. Might be nice to have around when the fight gets you down to boost you up again. All proceeds benefit Planned Parenthood.

I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book today. It is only 264 pages and it is photos of many of the signs that were displayed all of the world during the Women's March of January 21st. I found it very inspiring and hopeful.

Whether the person who reads this marched, watched from home, or followed along via social media, it's a beautiful and moving reminder of why over five million people marched that day. Whether the reader agrees with the movement or not, it's important to see why people took to the streets and understand what exactly they feel is at stake with the new presidency. It forces us to take a moment to understand how our neighbors are affected and why they are afraid of the next four years. It's also a painful reminder that not too long ago, Congressman John Lewis also marched for civil rights during a time when people were legally segregated and deemed second class citizens. It may seem like a long time ago, but many of the issues they faced then we are unfortunately facing now. This is an amazing book that was nicely put together, and only a small portion of the countless marches that took place all over the world. I will be purchasing a copy of this for my library, as well as buying it for friends and loved ones.

The pictures are all beautiful and of good quality. They are presented without any commentary beyond quotes from well known feminist figures.

I did not get to participate in one of the protests but I had friends that did and I was so proud of them! This is an amazing way to show the world through a peaceful protest that things need to change. The signs were witty, smart and beautiful! All the people that turned out to support equality is wonderful. I hope in the future I will be able to attend one and hold a sign like these people. It's great that they are making a book showcasing the day and the helping those who need it through donations and contributions from this book. Wonderful! #womensrights #womensmarch2017

Great collection of photos showing the true spirit of the woman's march. There have been many who have slammed this march and have questioned it's purpose. Perhaps because of a few celebrities who were unfortunately handed a microphone. But if you want the true story of what this march meant take a look at this book.
