I finished this book in about a day and half. I really loved it! Annie and Logan have great chemistry, even though they come from different backgrounds. I think the back stories of these main characters really make the story. Logan's background of being a Navy SEAL and growing up in the city. However, his roots are in Nugget and I like how the author weaves that into the story. Annie is interesting in that she is definitely a farm girl, but a well educated, smart farm girl. I think that goes against the stereotype. You really need to know a lot about running the agricultural and economic aspects of a farm. I feel like I actually learned a lot :) I like that Annie and Logan didn't really deny their attraction to each other, but Annie didn't want to get involved knowing that Logan was leaving. Smart of her. However, love is unpredictable. Mix that with smoking hot chemistry and you have a great mix for a HEA book. Speaking of happy endings, I like the resolution of some of the other relationships in the story. Made for a satisfying ending. All in all, I definitely recommend this book. It's a great escape.

I just love Nugget. Stacy Finz takes us back to the small Northern California town in a feel good story about the power of love. Annie Sparks yearns for a place and a family. Logan Jenkins has no idea what he is missing until he meets Annie. The entire town of Nugget takes him on, and the results are delightful. I could see no way that this could end well, and once again Stacy Finz makes it work. These people are worth knowing. (The graphic sex is actually off-putting to me, but I just skip through it.)

A light hearted story of two people who are struggling to meet the one who will be their "one". Logan comes to see where his father was from, and meets Annie, who is working on the family farm. Logan's father, who he never met, had left him money in his will, and the property was purchased by others who were going to set up a place for women to come and heal. I liked the story, and I liked the characters. A few side stories of rotten siblings on both sides, and scary drug dealers, but for the most part it showed Logan and Annie learning to trust and love each other. Hard to put this one down, and enjoyed the writing. First book by this author, but will not be my last. Highly recommend.

Loved this story of a man looking for his roots (ancestry) but finding much more. He found his future. One of the best contemporary romances I've read in awhile. Got thoroughly lost in the book.

this was a great addition to this series of books. everything about it flowed so well and was so enjoyable I didn't want it to end. the main characters fit so well together and the sub cast were old friends we got to see again

I am a big fan of Finz and her Nugget series. I believe this is book #9 and that is a point at which many series just run out of steam. Despite the fact that most of Nugget is already paired up, this book felt fresh and different. It helps that the citizens of Nugget are so well drawn that you feel like you are walking into family.
Annie and Logan come from challenging family situations. I like that Finz adds real life type situations to her characters' lives. This is a very sweet story and it was fun seeing my favorites from Nugget again.. I felt the ending was a little rushed but overall I was very pleased to be a part of this series again. I read this book in one sitting; it is a quick read, leaving you wanting more! There is also a bit of redemption for Raylene which was nice character work. Recommended.

This is the first book that I've read in the Nugget series. I loved it and can't wait to read the rest of the book now.
The since of community. Both Annie and Logan are fairly new to Nugget, but the towns people made them one of their own right away. But along with that comes the busy bodies, everyone needing to know your business. With Logan just getting out of the Seals, he wasn't to keen on this. Annie on the other hand is a social butterfly. Together they made such a great couple.

Whenever I start another book in the amazing Nugget series, I always start humming the song from the Mary Tyler Moore show, everyone knows your name.. Nugget is the quintessential small town where there are no strangers and if you sneeze someone down the block says God Bless you. When Logan Jenkins shows up to find what he can about his roots, he scoffs at the smallness of the town, the fact that everyone wears boots and there pretty much is nothing to do. Then he meets Annie and life as he knows it changes. He doesn't want to fit into the town, he doesn't want to like the people and yet he does. Ms Finz writes in a style that is both charming and easy to read and even if the reader hasn't read the other books in the series, it doesn't matter because the characters from previous books are skillfully woven into this book. Hopefully this is not the last of the series and there will be more to follow. A must read for all of Ms Finz's fans.

I adored Logan and Annie's story. Sigh, I just can't get enough of the Nugget series.
