The banter in this book! I love it so much! Not just from Dagan and Chelsea, but from Christian and Emily as well. They were my favorite part of the last book too. Even though I think this is the first time Walker's featured the same supporting couple in two consecutive books, I'm not complaining. I also liked finally getting to know Ace a bit.
But I should probably talk about the main characters. I clearly remember first meeting Dagan in an early book in the series. We weren't entirely sure he was going to be a good guy at the time. He's come a long way since then, but those events still weigh on him. He may not be sure if he's a good guy even now.
Chelsea's appeared in a few previous books, but this is the first time we've really gotten inside her head. She's a geek who references Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings in her internal monologue. She's also mixed race and curvy, which Dagan notices but he talks about how much he admires her mind. (I know, can we clone him?) And did I mention the banter?
I loved the twist in the mystery plot. I often see those coming, but definitely not this time. There are still some elements of the case unsolved, which I hope will get picked up in Christian and Emily's book though. I think this is the first time Walker has carried a villain over from one book to the next, which might be why I felt like the ending was kind of sudden. I might have liked to see an epilogue.
Still I think Fuel For Fire is one of my favorite books in the series. I read it practically in one sitting. And now I'm waiting not-so-patiently for Hot Pursuit, which is coming in October.

Face paced and fun novel, what I've come to expect from Julie Ann Walker and the Boys of BKI. This installment Dagan Zoelner, and Chelsea Duvall are on assignment in England. Sparks have been flying between these two for years, and we've seen them in some previous books. An action packed 24 hours, trying to escape England with the law, and some bad guys on their tail, finally bring all these feelings to head. I also enjoyed watching the sparks fly between Christian and Emily, and can't wait for them to get their story, that one is going to be hot.

Wow! Another fun Black Knights Inc. installment from Julie Walker! I was provided an ARC for my honest review and boy am I glad I was! This is Dagan and Chelsea’s story and is loaded with the fun, snappy humor we’ve come to appreciate and enough steam to fog your windows! I’ve been waiting for Dagan’s story for a long time. Each of the BKI books connect and intertwine, but all can be enjoyed as a standalone as well.
I really enjoyed the story of would-be star-crossed lovers. Both Dagan and Chelsea are determined to push back against the things that seem to prevent them from realizing their romance. Secrets, lies, missions, and perceived failures would be enough to permanently derail any budding romance. Only when there is a real threat of never being with each other can they find the courage to act on their feelings. Julie Walker superbly manages to get them together without circumstances seeming forced or cheesy. This is not as easy as it might seem. Dagan is a real male with all of the stereotypical protective thoughts and Chelsea is a highly intelligent and strong willed woman. These two personalities are never going to have an easy time together but when they do, sparks fly higher and burn hotter than at a 4th of July parade!

This was a great book that I enjoyed from start to finish. The characters Dagan and Chelsea were well written characters that had issues that were relatable to the reader in regards to their personal issues. Their story was written by multiple POV as their story progressed and events unfolded. The characters had chemistry that was palpable and their story that has started to unfold over several previous books in the series finally had some answers for the reader. I also enjoyed the return of some of the characters from the previous books in the series whether their roles were large or small and I liked catching up with them. The plot was fast moving and addictive making it hard for me to put the book down as I wanted to know what happened next. I also could see from the plot the possibilities of future books in the series. I enjoyed this book so much that I would recommend this book to others.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via NetGalley.

I received an advance copy for an honest review!
I love all of Julie's books as they are filled with humour, suspense, action and romance:) Fuel for fire is the story of Dagan, a former CIA operative and Chelsea, the CIA liaison for BKI. The story starts with Dagan, Chelsea, Ace, Christian and Emily in England working on a final mission for the President. However, it is complicated as the President that they worked for has in recent months stepped down from Office and the new President doesn't want to use BKI for covert operations, so they are in England with no support.
Chelsea has been employed by Roper Morrison, whom they believe is Spider, and are trying to infiltrate his computer system so that Ozzie can hack it and get the information they need to give to the CIA to take him down. When Chelsea is finally able to infiltrate into Morrison's office and they are suspicious of her, they try to get information from her, when three men break in (her back up in the form of Ace, Dagan and Christian). What they later discover is that Roper is affiliated with Spider, but is not actually the person they are after. They flee to try make it to France, as Roper calls in favours saying that Chelsea is a thief and has stolen from him, there are multiple attempts on her life. Her and Dagan get closer but she has a secret which she has yet to reveal to him and is worried that this will affect their future, if they have one together...????
Great read and look forward to more from the BKI team, especially Christian and Emily - Ace too perhaps...?

Walker hits the ground running with this one and does not stop! Fast action left me breathless. I read the book in three readings, I think I needed to rest. Complex characters and she keeps finding new people we want to get to know. Just can't get enough of her books. Now I can't wait until the next one. This is exciting, funny, sexy and hair-raising.

Another fantastic book in the Black Knights series!! Have been dying for Dagan and Chelsea's story - and it did not disappoint! Author is genius in building suspense - and tells it from all points of view so you are fully vested in the story. Details are amazing and stories builds perfectly. Dialogue is unbeatable - never fails to make me laugh out loud!! Loved the angst between Dagan and Chelsea too - and there is nothing like a good ending!! I love those Black Knights!!

Hard to believe its was 10 books ago when we were first introduced to ex-CIA agent Dagan Zoelner. Now we finally get his story and as per all BKI books its a equal mixture of action, romance and bad guys wrecking havoc.
The continued hunt for the illusive Spider has Dagan, Emily, Christian, Ace and CIA Agent Chelsea Duvall (whose on loan to BKI) in England with Chelsea working undercover for bad guy Morrison who they suspect of being the Spider. When she is caught after completing her mission a price is put on her head and the team scrambling to get her back to the US in one piece..
For a while two couple have been dancing around each other – Dagan and Chelsea and Christian and Emily. It was nice to finally get more back story on Dagan and Chelsea and the history between them that goes back to when Dagan was fired from the CIA. Dagan has a bit of a chip on his shoulder about the past and Chelsea is eatin up with guilt over a secret she knows about that incident that got him fired. The sexual tension between these two was explosive. The suspense of trying to stay a step ahead of Morrison and his team kept you on the edge of your seat.
As with all the books in the series its not just about the main couple. Christian and Emily are still bickering while trying to ignore their feelings for each other and this time around Ace was the comic relief who can certainly give Ozzie a run for his money in the humor department.
Lots of things left open at the end of this one which I assume will be picked up in the next book which will be Christian and Emily's.

Fuel for Fire is hot! It starts out fast paced and you are barely catch your breath before it heats up again! I loved reading about Daegan and Chelsea! They are a perfect for together and they're chemistry was explosive!

The heat in this book! Whoa! Fuel for Fire was action packed from start to finish. The sexual chemistry was off the charts, and not only between Zoelner and Chelsea, but Christian and Emily as well. A possible love interest for Ace was also introduced. But Chelsea is keeping a big, bad secret, and she has every reason to worry about how Zoelner is going to take it. It added just the right amount of angst to the developing relationship.
As always, Julie Ann Walker writes a great story. You can't go wrong with the Black Knights, Inc. series! I highly recommend them all.
I received this advanced copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Wow! This was an awesome thrilling story!!
SPOILER ALERT!
Chelsea is undercover with a small group from the BKI. Chel's mission is to load a virus on to Morrison's laptop so that Ozzie the super techie could extract information from it about who the 'Spider' is.
Dagon Zoelner's team helping Chel while she's undercover but when she hits the panic signal all he wants to do is charge in to help her.
Chel is on the run with Z and while the bullets are flying they still manage to talk about things...?....

This book had me on the edge of my seat, unable to sleep until the wee hours of the morning, trying to find a lull in the action that never came. The plot was suspenseful, full of unexpected twists and turns and a love that we all dream about, one that endures against all odds. Add to that the wit, humor and personalities of the BKI agents.......what a ride. To say I throughly enjoyed myself is an understatement.
Can't wait for my next ride/adventure with the BKI. Great job Julie Ann Walker.

Julie did it again with a awesome book to the series. there r funny spots with the bantering between them. it is sad that hopefully its not the end of the black knights cause of the president but it's awesome as always. its unique that after so many yrs apart, that 2 people can finally admit their true feelings for each other especially when something tragic tries to come between them. its full of suspense on what would happen next. It's good that men finally get their heads out of their ass and realize the truth of their feelings and how they r being stubborn, etc. lol its awesome and I sooooo loved it all. I cant wait for more from her in the future.

This book! Oh what it will make you feel! This is the latest in the Black Knights Inc books and as usual Ms. Walker doesn't disappoint! This one is about Dagan and Chelsea and I have been waiting for their book! I loved how Dagan got his chance at redemption in the previous books and now he is finally getting his full book! Chelsea always makes me laugh and is the perfect match for Dagan. However, there are lots of ups and downs and there is definitely a big secret that has to be revealed before anyone can get to the HEA! There is plenty of action involved, and as always it is great! The only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars was because I really wasn't liking things about Dagan for a bit. He just seemed to be a jerk and not very understanding about certain things. All in all, a great book! I can't wait to see how Ms. Walker writes Christian's book along with Ace's book! And maybe a little Angel thrown in there somewhere too? Can't wait!!

4 Star A very good read. Add to the top of your TBR list
We first met Dagan Zoelner in Hell On Wheels. Instrumental in helping bring down a corrupt senator the CIA trained agent is now a member of BKI.
Chelsea worked as a CIA counterterrorism analyst and was pretty much chained to a desk. For this mission she is now the official liaison between the CIA and the Black Knights, one of the most clandestine government defense firms in the USA.
With the cast of characters BKI is known for how dangerous can it really be? Well they never do anything the easy way; with former SAS, Mossad, CIA and FBI agents along with former Seals the action is never missing. And nobody does bad guys like Julie Ann Walker.
Chelsea is tasked with a field assignment that Dagan feels she is not qualified for and doesn't bother hiding how he feels about it. The sexual tension between them is making an already tense situation harder to handle. She has a secret that could end them before they even begin and he has no clue what the future holds for him or BKI once they complete the assignment.
Pulse pounding page turning suspense.
Toe curling steamy sex scenes.
Chuckle worthy sparring between two of the characters on the sideline.

I so can't believe this book, Fuel for Fire is so good!!! Im speechless!!!

4.5 stars
Hooray! Walker has finally unleashed Dagan and Chelsea into the wild!
With Dagan, Emily, Ace, and Christian as her backup team, Chelsea heads to England to go undercover for the Black Knights in an attempt to find out who the villain, Spider, really is. Unfortunately, even the best laid plans of mice and men....don't always go according to plan. With Chelsea's life in danger, it's an eye opener for Dagan to finally deal with his attraction and for Chelsea to come clean about her role during Dagan's CIA days.
Until now, Dagan and Chelsea's relationship has been a very extended version of foreplay. We're talkin' at least the last 5 books (or longer?) that Walker has been teasing readers with Dagan and Chelsea's tantalizing chemistry! All I'll say..I loved how they sizzled and burned, and their romance was well worth waiting for!
Book #10 in the Black Knights Inc. series, Fuel For Fire was jam-packed with action, quirky humor, and one smokin' hot romance you don't want to miss! Grab a fan and hold on to your seat because this book was one heck of a ride!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Sourcebooks via NetGalley.

Walker never disappoints with this series. Chelsea and Dagan's story is the usual rough ride, but the ending is very satisfying. This is a solid read that fans of the series will enjoy. Thanks Julie!

Fuel for Fire is the book #10 in the Black Knight Inc Series, this story follows Dagan Zoelner a broody covert operative for BKI and CIA agent Chelsea Duvall. Chelsea was sent in "to be" a personal assistant to whom they believe is "Spider" to plant a usb filled virus onto his computer in the hopes to take him down once and for all. She plants the virus successfully but then things go south from there. We see plenty of interactions between Dagan and Chelsea especially as they dance around each other and each other's feelings. Both have strong feels for the other but communications are crossed where both parties come off as if they didn't like each other.
I enjoyed this book by Julie Ann Walker and was happy to see BKI members in the story even though they only appeared at the last ten percent of the book (still I am happy to Becky and Ozzie appeared). There is definitely a lot of action going on in the story but it felt like the whole "situation" happened within a day's time span. I would have liked to see the story be longer. After this book I am definitely looking forward to reading Ace (and hopefully Rusty's story), and more of Angel. Angel's book is going to be awesome, I'm ready to find out more about him, his missions, and more answers to why he had to have his identity changed including scouring of his vocal cords. Yikes image someone suffering through the pain of such a procedure. -_-'
