Each double-page spread is accompanied by a large illustration. Using the text and illustration, the reader is able to answer a question. These illustrations are made even more appealing by their glow-in-the-dark feature. A fine choice for readers interested in learning about animals.

The illustrations are simple, yet interesting enough to keep kids engaged, and the interactive components are sure to entertain kids as they inform: questions kids can answer about what they can see on the page with the lights on, and glow-in-the-dark clues that they can only see if they turn off the lights. I can see how this might encourage someone who is afraid of the dark to maybe try the darkness for just a few moments, though that's not a guarantee of curing fear of the dark by any means.
