Despite this being one of the most frustrating couples I have ever read about, I really am enjoying this series so far. Tensley has grown on me with his little changes here and Molly is finally growing up a bit and into her own. Both fight for each other and for what they want, but it's hard in this demon society. Molly desperately tries to earn back Tensley's trust and when it looks like she finally has, she discovers she has unknowingly betrayed him again. Their relationship is more fractured than ever, but circumstances keep putting them together. We end with them more or less together again, but with a terrifying situation on the way.

I was surprised that Fallen did not make an appearance at all here, but I'm sure going forward he will. And I am so interested in seeing what happens next.

I. Am. All. IN! This story was so much more intense and the romance-! Tensely and Molly have finally accepted their attraction for another and now that it's out there in the open, a whole other can of worms are about to be unleashed. It's an exciting installment in the Blackest Gold series as Molly goes from dealing with the existence of demons in the world to loving one. What's wrong with that? The demon in question can't return her feelings, or he'll grow a heart, the ultimate no-no in the demon world.

I seriously loved this book more than the first. As a hardcore romantic, it was great to finally see them play the game of love and fight to work out their relationship. It was entertaining and fun, engaging with the other characters. Hot in the other scenes, and- just ,wow. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book, and I'm extremely happy I continued because this book sealed the deal for me. Recommended read if you like demons, daemons, the urban fantasy spice of life with a dash of darkness, and- well, Tensely. lol.

This second installation in R. Scarlett's series does not disappoint. If anything, I'd say that Ms Scarlett is finding her voice, the farther she goes with these characters. I definitely enjoyed this part of the story more than the first one and I'll be keeping my eye out for the next one.

I revived this book from Netgalley and didn't realise it was a sequel so I had to read the first book before hand - hence the delay in my review.

Overall, there were some great thought out plots, interesting characters and plenty of kick-assery.

I read both books in one sitting in one day and definitely enjoyed them! These are definitely 18+ NSFW though so beware!
