I loved how the various stories were interwoven and the relationships between the different couples were linked. I liked the other books in the Black Light series and found this to be a valuable addition.

Black Light is a dungeon club in DC, where on Valentine’s Day they set up a game between doms and subs in which the roulette wheel chooses partners and acts. Some of the pairings know each other, which can be good or bad, others are playing for the first time.
Though each story has a different author, there’s obviously a common backstory that has to be adhered to. The main ingredient here is a ton of psychology, more than actual physical events. There’s also surprisingly little sex, although the fact this takes place in a dungeon mitigates that a bit.
No matter how much the thrown-together couples hate each other, they all end up happily ever after. The security guy and the bartender was the most preposterous. The most intriguing featured a new sub paired with an FBI agent out of the game for a long time while he got custody of his little girl. Another intriguing one was the famous starlet, but after a while I couldn’t tell the characters apart.

Wow. What a read. This is definitely the type of book that makes me wonder if I could handle the BDSM lifestyle!

A very steamy erotic romance set. The connection between the stories is that they all take place in a BDSM club. All of the stories are fairly hardcore BDSM, so this is definitely not a set for someone starting out reading the genre. I liked the set but didn't love it, but it was a great escape read.

I was grateful to receive a free copy of Valentine Roulette (Black Light) in exchange for an honest review. I really liked the concept of the book, about a BDSM club hosting a Valentine contest, involving different scenes. Each scene had a different author, and a unique style of writing. Some scenes were more likable then others. Having never been to one of these clubs, some of the scenes were difficult to visualize. I definitely learned a few things. As a reader, it was difficult to get emotionally attached to the characters, because each scene was like a short story so there was very little character development/attachment. I would only recommend this book to readers that can handle some very kinky/adult themes scenes.

I decided to go out of my comfort zone with this one but boy was I wrong to do that! After reading the introduction, I knew this was not for me yet I continued reading and somehow survived the first story.
Key word: Survive.
It was bad to say the very least; I wasn't expecting a great plot line in the first place but the story didn't even comfort the reader with a decent one. The writing, honestly, was immature and trying very hard to arouse the reader yet failing badly.

Verdict: There are a lot of similar unpublished wattpad books, skip this one!

This book should come with a health warning as it is truly hot and will raise your blood pressure!!! The perfect read to put one in the mood for Valentine's!

Sizzling read by all these talented authors! There is something for everyone in this compilation. I especially like how they have portrayed BDSM and the community. I am recommending this to all my kinky friends!

I have to admit I did have to Google some things to fully understand, but am glad to have learned some things!

This was a nice box set of eight books. Some of them were quick short stories with few chapters, and others were longer. Adam Quinn was my favorite character of them all.

This box set turns up the heat and gets a little kinky. If you're looking for some good sexy and kinky stories, this box set is the one.

All the stories center around the Valentine's Day event at Blacklight that's specific to BDSM. And even though each story centers around one couple, they all mesh together. Events in one story can be seen or heard in another. In the end they all tie together nicely.

Some of the stories were a little out of my comfort zone, but they were all good. Each sizzling hot scene is graphic and well written. I even learned a few things I didn't know about this world.

All in all this was a really great sexy read.

Interesting book. This was my first time reading a book focused exclusively on happenings at BDSM club. I preferred the stories that offered a couple with history or described their lives outside of the club.

Enticing, entertaining and captivating, the book hooks the reader from the beginning till the last page

Loved this, each story connected together and there were events that happened in each novella so you could see the links. Would've loved to have had a novella about the Masterston's night as well though.

Full-disclosure, this isn't normally my cup of tea. However, morbid curiosity got the better of me. That being said, my studies in psychology in undergrad led me to the study of human sexuality. I don't think that sexual preferences nor inclinations are anything to be ashamed of.

I have, though, had acquaintances that have shared that they and their partners participate in BDSM. In my experience, the few people that have expressed that do not truly participate in it, but more so in a strange power dynamic between partners where one degrades the other.

I feel like this book is an idealized form of BDSM, but encapsulates what the lifestyle is about. Partners do not engage in BDSM because they enjoy humiliating their partner. It is about being vulnerable together. If there is any sort of power dynamic those in the lifestyle know that it is truly the submissive that is in control.

Obviously I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys BDSM. But also to those open-minded enough to look beyond the label to see compassion and love in a place you wouldn't normally associate with it.

I really liked the idea of this book and the way it was all woven together but like all anthologies or collaborations it's hard to feel a uniform way about the entirety of a work when it's all so different
