The Unexplainable Church is a 10 week Bible study on Acts 13-28. Her first study about Acts 1-12 has already been published, and I would strongly recommend going through it first. The author does a great job tying in church history, other Bible passages giving the background to the study, and also personal stories from her life. The book is formatted in a way that you have 5 days to work through that lesson - the questions vary from what does the Bible say to how can you apply it to your life.

I would recommend these studies to anyone wanting to learn more about Acts. Personally, as a women's Bible study curriculum coordinator for my church, I'm looking forward to seeing more studies by Erica Wiggenhorn!

I was excited when I got to be on The Unexplainable Church launch team. If you are wanting a Bible Study that is deep, informative, and truly beneficial to your walk, this is it! I had the privilege of going through the first part of this study (The Unexplainable Life) and really enjoyed it. This is the second book (and the second half of Acts), and it is wonderful! The questions are thought provoking, and the personal stories as well as Hebrew culture and history make this a very fun Bible Study. Erica has a way of making you feel like you are friends just sitting together discussing the Bible. Her love of God and the Scriptures really shine! Overall, a great study if you want to learn more about the Church in the book of Acts!

I received an advance copy of The Unexplainable Church study from Moody Publishers. All views and comments are my personal opinions.

This book begins in the 13th chapter of Acts, where Paul and Barnabas are called to their first missionary journey. The lessons in this book are designed to draw the reader closer to the Holy Spirit and help you to discover your own spiritual journey to spread God's grace and love.

The author says "the story of Acts 13–28 holds this truth regarding the unexplainable church: whatever comes against it, the gospel prevails. The story of the unexplainable church heralds the atoning power of Christ and the power of His gospel over all sin and death." We are charged with spreading this message to the ends of the earth.

This ten week verse-by-verse study Acts 13-28 dives deep into the scripture. The author urges the reader to make it a daily routine to pray and then read and study each section in order to develop a routine that will draw you closer to God.

Each day’s session starts with a thematic title and Bible passage, followed by an in-depth discussion of the text. There are study questions throughout each section that are designed to help you reflect and apply the material to your daily life. There are also additional resources available for free on the author's website that correlate with the study to help with individuals or groups.

I found this to be a very comprehensive study over these chapters of Acts. The material provides a deeper understanding than merely reading the text alone. The author stays true to the text and her discussions are Biblically sound. This would be an excellent study for small group or Sunday school.

I received this as a free ARC from Moody Publishers on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
