I love these books. I always buy them and wait to read them, well I regret that because this was just so good. I finished it within hours only to realize I'd never read the one before, even though I have it! Grrr!

Savannah/Savvy was desperate - six months without a job, reputation ruined, and her savings were dwindling. Savvy’s options were limited so she had the phony permit that Trevor to get passed security. Savvy was sneaking in to talk to Killian/Kite who was the drummer of the rock band Tear Asunder. Music made all Savvy’s problems go away: overdue rent, piles of bills, and the fear she had lost the chance at her date. But that is why Savvy was there she wasn’t giving up on dancing. Savvy had been dancing since she was six. It was all Savvy had left. It was the one thing that stuck with her after the loss of her dad, her mom, then the four foster homes she had been shuffled around in before sweet Mrs. Everett.Savvy had kinda known Kite and there was the kiss. Kite had been Savvy’s first kiss and she had been fifteen. Killian/Kite had kissed Savvy at the cemetery after her mother’s death. Kite was sixteen when he met Savvy and he had never forgot her. Savvy hadn’t seen Kite in eleven years. Savvy had gotten in and seen Kite down the hall but then the security guy figured Savvy wasn’t with the cleaning crew like she had said she was. So the security guy was leading Savvy out when Kite said to let Savvy go. Savvy told Kite she needed a recommendation from him to a friend of his Brett Westhill who had an exclusive dance club Compass with go go dancers. The go go dancers were the best paid in the city. She didn’t have experience dancing as a go go girl but she had taught modern dance in a dance studio with her ex. Savvy’s ex had been caught with a student in their bed. Savvy dumped him and refused to keep teaching so her ex had spread a lot of rumors about her. The rumors ruined Savvy’s reputation. Kite’s father had abused him when he was young and losing his mom and brother really messed Kite up. Savvy found she was still attracted to Kite. Even though Savvy didn’t know it Kite half owned the club the Compass. Kite had missed Savvy. He thought the piece of Savvy he carried inside him had been erased but a girl like Savvy you couldn’t erase. Kite offered Savvy a place to stay and then some money but she refused and left. He wouldn’t give her the recommendation Savvy had wanted as he didn't want Savvy dancing there. The guys of the band and their better halves were Kite’s family as far ashe and they were concerned.
I loved this book. I loved the pace and plot and non-stop action. I loved Kite and Savvy together. I also loved how savvy felt like everyone had some good bits and she was so giving. Liked how Kite tried to stay away from Savvy for her own good and didn’t want to ruin her. I loved how Savvy pushed Kite to fight for them instead of for control. I loved there was no cheating or floozies hanging all over the band members. There was nothing I didn’t love about this book which was great. Even though this was part of a series it did fine as a stand alone book. I loved the relationship between Kite and the band members and their better halves. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend

From the very first page Nashoda Rose weaves a beautiful love story. Killian and savvy both have tragic pasts. They meet in high school with Killian being an angry teenager fighting feelings for the girl with the good bits. Then tragedy strikes tearing them apart and Years later when savvy goes to Killian for help he tries to fight his feelings but then he decides to to take what he's wanted all these years. Killian is so sexy and delicious I couldn't get enough of him!! Savvy is a strong sassy heroine who stands up to Killian and his bossiness and I love it!! I've been waiting for his story from the beginning and Nashoda Rose broke my heart and put it back together again all in one sitting. The way the story develops will leave you breathless and wanting more. I loved every second of the amazing love story about healing and finding your one true love.
5 beautiful stars!!

Nashoda Rose doesn't just write Romance. She writes emotional, passionate, healing and restoration love stories. These stories are pages of absolutely captivating connections. The people you are introduced to burrow into your heart. They steal their way into all of your senses. Kite has been the mystery..The blank canvas.. what we knew wasn't even a small window into who he really was. Savvy and Kite were the epitome of what a second chance should be. Meeting as teens they shared a small amount of time together but it deeply affected everything from that day forward. Savvy tried to live her dreams and betrayal by a cheating ex pushed her into the path of Killian again.
It was like Killian hadn't been awake until she walked back in. The man inside was hidden behind a wall of torment, guilt and pain. Shining her light and hope on his world brought Killian into living again. These two were what I absolutely crave in my romance. Two people who lean on each other, cherish and uplift each other.

Killian saw healing and grace and a real chance at life when he breathed the same air as Savvy . His orchid, a real life healing balm to his soul.
The shocking turns and moments of pure genuine brilliance by this author had me with either tears running down my face or my mouth hanging open in surprise. I didn't want it to end but when that breathtaking ending came I was in pure reading bliss.

Absolutely beautiful addition to a phenomenal series.

Savannah (Savvy) Grady had a passion for dancing. But a wrong choice led her to desperation for a job and a reunion with someone from her past brought up a different kind of desperation.

Killian (Kite) Kane grew up as an angry teenager. He had the need to upheld justice and protected others, including a girl he cared about. Years later he became a famous rock star and the need to protect and claim came back with her return.

Kite really intrigued me in the last book, so I'm very happy when he finally get his own story. It was different from what I expected, but still enjoyable.

Kite had a broken past. What he endured as a kid was bad and he was still haunted by it. He was detached to protect himself from being hurt. But deep down he cared more than he showed.

Savvy was having hard time with her life. Even after being screwed, she always find goodness with others. As intimidating as Kite was, I like how she wasn't afraid to stand up against him.

I like their story - how they reconnected and made it work. I also like their background. However I was expecting something more. Previous books in the series had more darkness and some suspense elements so that's what I was anticipating. This book was more mellow. There's nothing wrong with that, it's just personally, I'd like to see more complications in the story.

There's a new character in this book that I love. Trevor brought something extra to the story and I just love how he connected with the main characters effortlessly.

Kept From You is a story of a couple reconnecting a special bond and moving on from their hurtful pasts. It would appeal to fans of second chance romance with lots of sexy times.

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Type: Standalone Book 4 from Tear Asunder series
POV: First Person – Dual

"I never wanted to date anyone else.
Just her.
But I kept myself from her.
The one girl who made it okay to forgive myself."

Killian aka Kite Kane grew up with a lot of anger inside; even with his anger he managed to protect the ones he cared about. There was one girl in particular he would fight for no matter what. She thought him since young that perhaps he should use his anger in other ways. He never saw this girl again until one day she came crossing his path once again.

"He was beautiful…The anger that he carried with him ate away all his beauty. Physically he had it, but this was different. This was the beauty inside him"

Savannah aka Savvy Grady loved to dance. Due to some bad choices she was forced to search for a job she desperately needed. Little did she know that she was going to find Kite who she never thought she would see ever again. It was eleven years since she last saw Kite and it was bound to change them.

Kite had a past that he preferred not to talk about seeing Savvy again brought up so many memories and he tried so hard to block it to distanced himself away from her in hopes he don't get hurt again. However; that was not in the plans Savvy came back to stay weather she wanted to or not; life has put them together once again and she would stay to fight for what she wanted even if that meant standing up to Kite and not letting him have his ways.

"I'd thought the piece of Savvy I had inside me had been erased, but a girl like her you couldn't ease. Just like an addict was always an addict, she was my drug."

I truly enjoyed the journey of these two; the chemistry and the history they had that made that connection epic. Seeing them grow out of their issues and work things out with all the support of their friends made this story so much memorable. I do feel like I needed more pain and angst; I seem to enjoy the broken heroes more often than not. Kept from you is a story I recommend to anyone looking for a second chance romance; readers who like a good sexy book will find this book appealing.

I love, love, love this series. I wait impatiently for the next book. The characters are deep the writing is exceptional. This is Killian's story. He just like a few of the others had a rough childhood. Unbeknownst to her, Savvy was a light in his darkness. Even though her life was less than perfect, she was really good to everyone around her. During their school years, Killian was always angry and fighting. He only fought the bullies and drug dealers. He stayed in trouble for fighting. Savvy was the quiet dancer. She was scared of Killian but she did not let him push her around. Circumstances come between them and Savvy leaves. After years of separation, they meet again. This time Killian will not let her go. He is possessive, bossy and sexy. Savvy does not stand a chance. Killian still has his dark moments but SAvvy talks him down This book is not as dark as the previous books but it does not need to be. If we continue on with the new characters it can get a little lighter. Another amazing book in the series.

It's official I am in love with these characters! Nashonda Rose is a must purchase author and I love everything she writes.

That being said this couple is amazing and what they have gone through even more so. Killian (Kite) and Savvy knew each other in high school and she was afraid of him. Even after she decided to be brave when he challenged her she was still a bit afraid of him and knew that his reputation was not just talk. You did not want his attention. If you had it you had done something wrong. He didn't tolerate bullies and he didn't tolerate drugs in their school.

Savvy gog his attention though, and she didn't know why or exactly how much he paid attention because he never let her see. That is until the day of her mom's funeral and the kiss.

Now eleven years later, the band is huge, she has caught up with him in need of a favor and put herself on his radar again. But will she remember what he told her the day of the kiss? That if she ever came near him again he wouldn't let her go.

She didn't get her favor, not from him but she got brave again and it's game on!

Killian is intense and I'm so glad he gets what he patiently waited for 11 years. I found this read interesting because Killian has always seen Savvy as the one good soul, the one with good bits but while you read this you will find that he has the same amount of good in him. He is amazing! A lot of alpha and protectiveness but a lot of guilt, conflict and hurt he needs help dealing with. Savvy was warned to stay away but circumstances in life put them back together and there is no turning back. She is the one who will break down his walls and show him what home and family is all about. She is the missing piece for him to feel loved and at home with a full family. Nashoda never disappoints and I loved all the connections between the different series. You need to read this.

This is Kite and Savvy's story. I love this series from Nashoda Rose, every book I devour and this one was no different.

Kite and Savvy meet in high school even though they don't run in the same circles. However they do catch each other's attention. Neither has great home lives and soon life's circumstances tear them apart. The major difference between the two is that Kite lets his past taint him while Savvy still believes the good in others.

Life brings Kite and Savvy back together again and this time they must decide if they can let each other go or make a life together.

This is one of those books that you will not want to put down. I love Kite and Savvy, they are perfect for each other.

Oh my. This book and ALL THE EMOTIONS.

I am a fan of this author, that's no secret, but what you might not know is that I STILL can tell you every detail about this series because it touched me that profoundly. I feel like this novel took he series and tied a perfect bow around it.

Kite and our Orchid <3 This book was beautiful and sexy while also sweet with an edge of danger to it. It got your emotional all tied up while at the same time had you screaming at the characters. It was a one-sitting read for me.

Also,

Imma need Trevor to get his own book, STAT.

You will see what I mean when you read it. This book brings back all the favorites, while at the same time giving us the answers are Killian we wanted, and the HEA that he deserved.

Nashoda takes a story that needed to be told and opened the curtains on it. Let the secrets come to light and for those broken to heal.

Loved every page.

Well, this is proving to be a difficult book to rate/review. Why? Mainly because I have a completely different opinion of the first 65% portion versus the last 35%. Obviously, it only makes sense to start at the beginning, where we find the main couple still in high school, so wish me luck as I try to elaborate.

Nashoda Rose picked us a good one, my fellow romance book-loving friends. This alpha protective good guy with a high school bad boy persona certainly had thorns you had to watch out for. Well, only if you were up to no good. Then he drew blood alright, the old fashioned painful way, with his fists. There was no misunderstanding the vigilante message he was sending. And that, folks, pretty much had me liking him at hello.

You didn’t have to tell Savvy, the heroine, twice to stay away from Killian. But like a bee to a colorful flower, Killian kept turning up and giving her that gorgeous steely stare. Fast-forward eleven years later and she finds herself a reluctant damsel in distress and who better to come to her aid than this now famous rockstar black knight in black leather.

The First 65% Portion: With writing that flowed, we are dished out a surprisingly second version of Killian that couldn’t have been better. The guy truly always had a teddy bear heart beneath all that toughness. He also wasn’t one to flaunt or parade women around on his arm or in his bed. This avid true romantic at heart, especially appreciated that rare trait among rock star romance leading men. He kept his private life private, so we had the good fortune of not having to experience any past or present OW drama/comments. Well, not until the latter portion when what was likely intended as an endearing true confessions moment came across as crass, contradictory, unrealistic, and TMI. It certainly didn’t help when one of Kite’s (Killian’s nickname) close friends also brought it up. I’m not fond of author’s establishing a character one way then changing their mind and writing them differently for no apparent reason.

Though I liked the sweet sentiment behind his flowery nickname for Savvy, I definitely didn’t think it rolled off the tongue that well, especially during their smexy sessions. An alpha male yelling, “Orchid!” in the throngs of passion just didn’t work for me. In fact, I was embarrassed for him to be written that way. I couldn’t help but also think of her as a sunflower, folks. You see, Savvy always seem to turn her face and heart towards the light and would seek to find the goodness in people. You guessed it. She was on the sugary sweet side. Oh, good grief! Now I’m resorting to flowery analogies, as well!

If you’ve read Ms. Rose before, you know she often adds a very dark element. This one felt lighter than most. Sure, Killian had a tragic painful past but it didn’t completely overshadow the romantic plot. However, it did affect his judgment/rationale regarding long term relationships. Even the aspect of Savvy’s job cage dancing at a club was presented as not overly seedy. Mostly because it was considered an upscale/class over crass type establishment. However, let’s be honest here, folks. It is what it is...cage dancing. At around 70% naughtiness definitely kicked in (dirty talk/thoughts, numerous OTT smexy scenes in unlikely situations, and even some very steamy/graphic BDSM). For me, it was a huge shift change that turned this sweet/steamy heart melting contemporary read into a mostly lusty, erotic one.

With a dramatic ending I pegged right from the start, I felt the last 35% wasn’t as well-written as the rest. The 50 Shades of Gray element that kicked in full throttle around 70% and hijacked the storyline didn’t seem to match the previous portion at all, nor the overly flowery/sentimental writing that also crept in. For me, the best part took place as they were getting to know each other and realize their soul connection that even time and distance had not diminished.

Having really enjoyed Shattered By You, Book 3 of this series, despite its much darker broken heroine theme, I took a chance Ms. Rose would keep the romantically engaging trend going, and for a majority of this book she did not disappoint. But there were enough contradictions/discrepancies in the writing (i.e., the heroine not liking the spotlight/attention but enjoying cage dancing in front of large crowds, Hero not thinking his former sex club BDSM party days with multiple women wasn’t technically being with OW, the writing turning OTT lusty and sugary sweet) that left me feeling this one could have been a 5 star fantastic read but now only deserves 3.5. But this is just my honest opinion, folks. I certainly do not want to keep you from forming your own. Here's to hoping my review has been helpful in some way in doing just that.

Book .5 - With You
Book 1 - Torn from You
Book 2 - Overwhelmed by You
Book 3 - Shattered by You
Book 4 - Kept From You

Title: Kept From You, Series: Tear Asunder (Book 4), Author: Nashoda Rose, Pages: 296, stand-alone but part of a series, rock star drummer, dancer heroine down on her luck, second chance, non-virgin MC, tough alpha bad boy with a teddy bear heart, flashbacks of loss of a loved one, feels guilty hero, flashbacks of child abuse, heroine is graphically/savagely beaten, OTT smexy with BDSM numerous times in the latter portion.

I am completely addicted to this dark and sexy series by Nashoda. Can't get enough of it and was over the top excited for Killian's story. Fell head over heart in love and lust for this delicious rocker. He had layers that get peeled back by the girl who captured his heart with a kiss back in the day who comes back in to get a gig dancing. Little did she know just how connected to that job he is and things get pretty heated fast. I mean total scorch happening between these two. Loved every bit of their story.

I give Kept From You 5 hearts!

4.5 ‘ the good bits’ Stars

“Fight for me, damn it. Stop fighting everything else and fight for me. For us”

Nashoda Rose has done it again! We’ve We’ve loved everything we’ve read from this talented author and after finishing Kept from You, we’re convinced this is one of our favourite series. There’s suspense, grit, passion, emotion and alpha goodness galore, not to mention pierced tattooed rock stars…yummy! What’s not to love…oh and this was bloody hot! And sweet! And a little intense!

We’ve been with the Tear Asunder guys’ right from the beginning. We’ve shared their difficult and painful pasts, we’ve shared their love and happiness as they each meet their soul mate, their missing piece. This group of rag tag rock stars prove family isn’t the blood that runs through your veins, but the loyalty, trust and love that runs through your hearts. They’ve been through so much and there’s nothing they wouldn’t do for each other.

“…Nothing wins against love. It wins every single fuckin’ time.”

We’ve been desperate for Killian ‘Kite’ Kane’s story, the drummer from Tear Asunder in what seems forever and finally, the gorgeous guy with the Irish lilt shared his painful story with us. Killian grew up quite privileged and was loved deeply by his Mum and brother. His father however was a different story. This man openly detested Killian, making his life miserable. Due to circumstances we later learn about through Killian’s POV, Killian has become an angry young man, needing to fight to relieve himself of the pent up guilt he carries with him.

We first meet Killian and Savvy when he is 16 and she is 15. Savvy (Savannah) feels drawn to Killian and believes there is a lot of ‘good bits’ beneath the anguish this young man elicits. Killian, in turn is drawn to Savvy’s innocence and sweetness, savouring the goodness that surrounds her.

‘Her goodness was my fuckin’ drug, drawing me to her. ‘

They part ways soon after, with Killian unleashing a first kiss on Savvy that really would change everything. For both of them. We flash forward 11 years in Toronto, with Killian enjoying success with his band, and Savvy down on her luck, seeking out Killian for a favour. Old feelings are unleashed with Killian not wanting the girl who always had a place in his heart to slip through his fingers. And that’s where the story begins.

‘I had my issues and she’d had a taste of them, and I knew I’d have to give her more of me. The parts of me I kept hidden.’

Whilst Kept from You didn’t quite pack the intensity and grittiness of the previous books, Killian and Savvy’s story was no less emotional, no less painful. We adored these characters and upon learning the full extent of Killian’s sacrifice and feelings for Savvy over the ‘lost’ years, our hearts damn near burst from our chests and we applauded Nashoda Rose for taking this turn with him.

‘I realized that the anger he carried with him ate away all his beauty. ‘

We do love a second chance love story and this one certainly fit the bill. Killian is all sorts of kinky alpha possessive yummy, yet he’s sweet, vulnerable and romantic as well. Not to mention sexy as sin for good measure! Savvy was a sharp, witty relatable character. Whilst this can be read as a standalone, we would strongly recommend reading the series to fully grasp and experience the bond between these men, the relationships of which we feel are the glue that holds this series together.

“You were always meant to be mine, Savvy.”

***4,5 "Orchid" stars***

God, I was waiting such a long time for Killian's story!!!
It's a common secret that I'm a huge fan of Nashoda Rose's books and especially "Tear Asunder" series are my favorite!!!!
We had already witness the bittersweet stories of the rest members of the "Tear Asunder" band and this story is for Kite, the drumer, a very quite and easygoing guy!!!
But is he truly as he appears to be???
One thing that i adore in this series is how connected these guys are between them... They are really a family!!!
But enough with that!!! This is a story about second chances...
This is Killian and Savvy's story...

“Do you ever not get what you want, Killian?”
“Yes, for eleven years.”

Eleven years ago...
Killian was an angry teenager who was always in trouble and he was getting involved himself in many fightings on purpose... Everyone was afraid of him...
Savvy was afraid of him too, but at the same time, she was drown toward him... especially when his eyes were focusing intensely upon her...
Their paths collided and they only shared a kiss that would stay with them forever...
And then, their ways parted but not before Killian warn Savvy that if she ever come near him again, he would never let her go.

“I’m glad you’re leaving town.”
“Why?”
“Because if you come near me again, next time I won’t let you go.”

Present day...
Savvy is in a bad place... She lost her boyfriend, her job and her reputation is destroyed by false rumors. She needs desperately a job and the only person that she thinks can help him is Killian.
So after eleven years and with a crazy plan, she is coming close to Killian for once again...
But will he help her???

"I felt like that rabbit quivering in the hole as the wolf approached. The difference was, there was a part of me that wanted to get caught."

Killian is now a famous rock star, drumer of the Tear Asunder and he is no longer the angry teenager that he used to be. Or the anger is still there but he knows how to kept it at bay???
When Savvy is appearing in front of him for once again, he is losing his mind...
After all, he had warned her what will happen if she ever come near to him... even though that the time is very wrong with all the problems that he is having.
Will he be able to stay away from her???

"I stayed away from you, so you wouldn't be ruined by me. I couldn't chance you getting hurt when you were made up of all the goodness I'd lost."

As you can understand, between Savvy and Killian there is pending sexual tension...
He is pushing her and she is pushing back and that drives Killian mad....
And then a crazy proposition is coming and everything are starting to change...
Will their love help win Killian's demons??? Or the things will be worse than before???

“You were always meant to be mine, Savvy.” {Killian}

"You're constantly fighting who you are by trying to control everything else. Fight for me, damn it. Stop fighting everything else and fight for me. For us." {Savvy}

I liked Killian and Savvy as a couple...
They were intense, raw and perfect...
Savvy had a great personality and she was very strong and feisty... She had a fucked up life, but she managed to turned it around... She was a dancer and she just wanted a chance to prove herself!!!
She had a thing for Killian since high school but she knew that this infatuation with him could destroy her heart forever....
Killian had many demons to fight, demons that he couldn't escape from even if he tried... He was in a good place in his life, but his mind and soul was carrying too much weight....
He never forget Savvy and he knew that if he ever sees her again, he could not stay away from her...
I also liked very much the whole thing with the orchid... God, i loved it!!!

"He was worth the risk. The hidden. The complicated. The man who had demons behind the captivating green eyes, but within the depths also lived a man who cared. Who protected. Who made my heart skip a beat and my breath stop." {Savvy}

“I may have kept myself from you, but you were always with me, Savvy.” {Killian}

For once again, we saw our loving couples from the previous books and i enjoyed it very much!!!
And i was so happy when i saw that Mrs Rose is prepering Trevor's story!!! He was such and intriguing character....
Also, I'm having a request... Please, give us Matt's story too!!!

Sweet Jesus. Thank the book gods!! We finally got Kite's book.

If you've been reading the series about Tear Asunder than you're addicted to this group of fierce and alluring characters. (They are some serious man candy.) However, none of the band members have had it easy. They all have endured some sort of life altering tragedy. But each one of Nashoda Rose's hotties has captivated and entertained me like no other.

Kite and Savvy's story is no different.

At the start of Kept from You, you find out that Killian (aka Kite) and Savvy briefly went to high school together. However, their lives really didn't intersect. They mainly just watched one another - hiding their feelings and attraction because they were dealing with some pretty serious personal issues at home.

The book then jumps ahead several years and Savvy find herself struggling with life. A poor relationship choice has left her career in dire straights so she reaches out to a man who has the ability to help her but no real reason to. She can only hope that she left a big enough impact on him so that he will show her little kindness.

But Killian had never forgotten Savvy. He has wanted her at his side since the moment he first saw her and had hoped for years that she would come back into his life. Now that she's back, he's determined to show her that they're meant to be together.

They have a bit of an uphill battle to find their happily ever after but it's one hot freaking journey. I was consumed by this relationship. Together, Killian and Savvy are passionate, intense - captivating and their story is entertaining as hell.

This book gave me everything I could have wanted for the band and their loved ones. I ended the book with a sigh and such a feeling of satisfaction. I loved the current drama and getting the glimpses back into the other members lives. It was a spectacular reading experience.

So my recommendation is to meet guys of Tear Asunder and all the people who surround them. You definitely will not regret a moment spent with this crew.

4 stars!

"I stayed away from you, so you wouldn't be ruined by me. I couldn't chance you getting hurt when you were made up of all the goodness I'd lost."

Weeee!!!! This is the 4th book in the Tear Asunder series and can be read as a stanalone. But I want everyone to enjoy the series so I say read all of them because they'll totally be worth it. I didn't know that there was going to be another book until I saw it on Netgalley and I'm so happy I did. I love, love Nashoda Rose's work and this book was no different.

I'm not going to give anything away, I just urge you all to go in blind without reading spoilers. You will not be disappointed. Killian and Savvy had some of the hottest chemistry that I've read. Honestly, don't read this book in public.

"What I need is you. Just you and whatever comes with you. The hurt. The pain. The anger. The sweet and the caring. All of you."

I get lost in every story Nashoda has ever written. They're filled with so much passion and emotion that it gets you every time. There's something about her writing that always has me connecting to the every character.

Kept From You is a story of overcoming your fear, your past and making something out of yourself. Being proud of who you are and aren't afraid to show it. I cannot recommend this book enough! This series is probably one of the most different, unique and yet really amazing series I've had the pleasure of reading.
