Once again Nashoda Rose has blown my mind. This series has been one of my favorites since the very start and I love how each character has gotten their own book along the way. Kept from You is all about Killian “Kite” Kane. Killian’s story wasn’t as dark as the other ones but it was just as brilliant and captivating!

This book was full of emotions and hearing Kite’s background definitely pulled my heartstrings! When he and Savvy first met in school and the undeniable connection they had back then. Killian was Savvy's first kiss and he has had her heart ever since. Fast forward to 11 years later and Savvy’s life has brought her back to Killian to ask for help. Something she never thought she would do and from there the story just explodes!

It was steamy, hot, sweet, sexy and fun. Killian lives in the limelight but he is a very private person, always has been, he had it rough growing up but that made him super protective of those he cares about. Savvy is strong willed, determined and just a wonderful Heroine. I absolutely loved her. Both characters are so strong willed, come from pasts that aren’t so wonderful but together these two are just perfection. What starts off as a “fake” relationship wasn’t that at all in Killian’s or Savvy’s eyes, but when the past come back will it make one run away again?

I loved this book. I loved the different feels and vibes we got in one. Plus, seeing all the other characters pop in again and the way they are with Killian and Savvy just melted my heart. I loved every second of it and I can’t wait for the next one!

I have read a couple of the books in this series and hope to catch the ones i missed in audiobook form. I started reading this author last year and liked what i read but it was also pretty intense stuff. I figured this book would be similar to that. Yes there is some violence but it's very minimal in comparison to book one in this series. Killian Kane (Kite) was a bit scary as a 18 year old but 16 year old Savannah (Savvy) was still drawn to him. Just when she might have a chance to get to know him better what little she had in life crashed in on her. She had to leave and she thought she might never see Killian again. Fast forward 11 years and Killian is the drummer in the well known band Tear Asunder. She hopes to get some help from him when she sneaks in backstage to find him but she gets way more. This book was quick to read. It was exciting and interesting for me. It had a little of everything and the story moved along and a nice even pace. It's just one of those books i connected with by the end of chapter one and when that happens you get excited for the rest of the book. This one definitely delivered on that promise.

Part 4 of an ongoing series

My Kept From You Review . . .

Finally we get Killian 'Kite' Kane's story. And what a story it was. Killian for me has always been the mysterious dark horse in this series. Now we find out that there was quite the reason for Killian's dark side. However, we also find out what helps tame his inner beast.

Savannah AKA Savvy has her own past but she always finds the good bits in everyone. This is part of the gift and curse that is Savvy for Killian. He wants her to find the good in him, but he's also tortured enough to think he doesn't have any left and he doesn't deserve any good in his life.

"Because if you come near me again, next time I won't let you go."

Even though Killian was young when he met his savior, he always knew the potential of her. Which is part of the reason he let her go. Now years later and Savvy has walked back into his life. This time around he won't make the same mistake twice.

I absolutely loved Killian and Savvy together. Savvy was a strong kick ass heroine, while Killian was the most loyal protective man you could ask for. However, they both had their pasts to contend with.

Throughout the years, Killian still knew what Savvy was to him and held that dear and near to his dark heart. I loved this part of Killian that he kept for her. Nashoda Rose has such a gift at creating beauty in a darker world. Kept from You wasn't nearly as dark as some of the others. Actually it had more light and hope than the others which helped balance the series out. However, it's Killian's past and fears that create the darkness within him. The guys of Tear Asunder are all near and dear to my heart and I'm so thankful we finally got Killian's story. Thankfully we have a new character in town with Trevor, whom was Savvy's neighbor and we will soon get his story as well. Can't wait!

"I'd thought the piece of Savvy I had inside me had been erased, but a girl like her you couldn't erase. Just like an addict was always an addict, she was my drug."

Fate always has a way of bringing souls together that should be and despite the hurdles each had to go through in order to get to the point of surrender, they did it. Kite and Savvy connect once when they're young but a series of cruel circumstances create barriers between them, pulling them apart.

"Killian used to remind me of a hurricane raging over the ocean, with so much built-up intensity. But after all these years...it was like he'd found his way to the eye of it and it circled around him. But this moment the hurricane was silent.

Reunited by accident...or not, depending on how you look at it, Killian and Savvy are once again at a crossroads in what could either be the worst possible thing to happen to either one of them...or a happily ever after.

"And as he held me in his arm, the sun a soft glow on the side of his face, the week-old scruff along his jaw and a bead of sweat dripping down his temple, I knew there was no walking away from him. He was worth the risk."

This book was all about the risks. And I love that Rose took the time to give Killian and Savvy the story they deserved. It was amazing, my favorite of the series, and one I won't soon forget.

After all, life is all about second chances.

Kept From You has a different feel to it than the previous three books in Nashoda Rose’s Tear Asunder series, which makes sense because Savvy Grady and Killian Kane share a past, and even though it was only one moment…one interaction eleven years ago, they left a mark on each other - one that couldn’t be erased regardless of their contrasting lives or the 11 years they spent apart.

Killian “Kite” Kane has always been the one band member I could never get a handle on; he’s a walking contradiction because in some respects, he’s open and honest. fiercely protecting those he loves but then he’s also extremely private, locking down his emotions and hiding behind his anger and torment, working hard to not form attachments to anyone who could destroy his heart and soul even more than they’ve already been. What interests me most about Kite is that he seems so calm and controlled most of the time, but what readers realize in Kept From You is that he hides behind a wall of numbness, keeping his volatile emotions in check as much as he can without exploding in a way that could destroy everything he worked so hard to overcome.

Savvy Grady tries to see the best in everyone, so despite her fear of teenager Killian, she was still drawn to him and wanted to find his “good bits” underneath his dark and dangerous demeanor. But 11 years ago, neither Savvy nor Killian were in a place to explore their unexplainable connection and because of his past, Kite didn’t want to destroy the innocent girl who calmed him in ways she couldn’t begin to understand but would have an opportunity to explore many years later.

One aspect of Kept From You that stood out for me as a reader is the symbolism of the orchid Killian gave Savvy when they were teens and the flawed pot it was placed in and continued to grow in 11 years later due to Savvy’s care and her desire to keep a bit of Killian with her at all times. Killian gifted Savvy with the flower as well as gave her Orchid as her nickname because it represents her exotic and graceful beautiful despite the circumstances she was raised in and had to endure. Then, when they reunite, Savvy ties Killian to the damaged holder, recognizing his ability to survive despite the outside forces as well as his own guilt and demons weighing him down.

Nashoda Rose does a great job of illustrating the reasons behind Kite’s closed-off demeanor and because readers learn of his inner struggles through his own voice, it’s easier to understand why he tried his best to not taint Savvy when they were younger and even at the beginning of their second chance.

For 11 years, they were kept from each other due to unpreventable circumstances and feelings of inadequacy and rage and even though Killian tries the hands-off approach when Savvy re-enters his life, it’s clear that what’s always been between them is worth the risk and that as long as Savvy can endure Killian’s overprotectiveness and the secrets that he has yet to share, they may just be the balm one another needs to move forward, forgetting about the past and fighting for a future that has limitless possibilities because Savvy and Killian would do anything to tie their good bits together into a life that sets them free and makes them whole and watching them give into those feelings and find what they need in each other was worth the journey!

"I stayed away from you, so you wouldn't be ruined by me."

Another amazing addition to the Tear Asunder series. I've been a fan from the beginning and have been looking forward to Kite's story. Though this one is different than the others, more sweetness and less darkness, it has it's place in the collection. And one thing they all have in common is brokenness, pain that keeps the characters in the dark until they find their light.

They met in high school. Savvy was a good girl, and Killian was a bad boy. The attraction was there even then. They only shared a single kiss, but it was a memory that stayed with them both for years. Killian moves on. He rides the rockstar train out of town leaving the bad stuff behind. Unfortunately he had to leave the good stuff too... her.

Savvy loves music too, but she chooses to express those feelings through dance. Well, at least she did, until she lost her dance instructor job. Nothing like desperation to give you the courage to look up your high school crush at a rock concert and hit him up for a job reference, right? It's been years, so there's a chance that he won't even remember her. But what if he does? Will he remember his promise? Will he keep it?

When Kite & Savvy see each other again, the sparks are still there. But they aren't teenagers anymore. They both have painful pasts weighing them down. Will they be able to get past what's holding them back and take advantage of the second chance they've been given?

Well, you know what you need to do to find out. I'm already anxious for the next installment in the series. I think Nashoda should add a few more sexy, tattooed, cocky band members to Tear Asunder so that we will have more to look forward to for a long time to come. The line forms here...

A scintillating tale of a romance building through the years that gets a second chance. But as always Nashoda interweaves a romance story with characters who go through so much. An intense romance story, but there is also danger and sexy moments. I loved the look into the main characters pasts a great way to build the story more. Kite is a character i have been waiting to read about since the start of this series and i am so glad he has had his story told. I must also say i found this book quite emotional at times, the connection between the main characters was very consuming. I adore this series, author and her way to make me get lost in brilliant and enthralling stories, 5 scorching stars

Another fantastic book by Nashoda Rose. I have loved every book in the Tear Asunder series and I have to say I think this might be one of my favourites. I was looking forward to Killian's story and what a story it was. Heartbreaking in every way. Killian has loved Savvy since she was 15 and when she left school after her Mother's death he was sad to see her go but was of the opinion that it was better for her, he believed he was no good for her and if she ever came back into his life he wanted it to be her choice, that it was her who would look for him.

Fast forward a decade and Savvy finds herself without a job, home and boyfriend and with a bad reputation for work thanks to her cheating boyfriend. Finally she seeks out Killian at one of his concerts and it is as if the feelings all those years ago never left for them both.

Fame hasn't changed Killian and Savvy can still see all the good bits still inside him. There are many twists and turns and when we are finally able to see all the bad parts of Killian's life and why he is the way he is, it is heartbreaking. Savvy tries every way she can to take away all the badness in his life and replace them with the goodness, especially as she can see how life has ended up for the rest of the Band, she wants that for Killian and her and she will stop at nothing to give it to him.

Excellent book Nashoda Rose and I look forward to reading Trevor's story.

Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review another great read.

Fantastic, loved every second of this second chance at love! Killian frustrated me so many times, and my heart was thump thump thumping all over the place. Maybe they weren't meant to be together..then I would think he doesn't deserve her. Then I would tell myself that he deserved a chance at happiness and he had good intentions.

My emotions were all over the place with this one! Don't you just love when you are that invested in a story that you can hardly control yourself!!

Well it happened. It finally happened. After reading all of the boys and their amazing women in this series, Nashoda Rose has ruined me for EVERYONE. Jesus. Lord. I can't stop thinking about Kite aka Killian Kane aka the world famous drummer of Tear Asunder (aka my future next husband.) We didn't know much about him in previous books but in this book boy does Nashoda deliver! He was protective, mysterious and such an amazing guy and GOOD LORD was he SCORCHINGLY hot. Just tie me up Killian and never let me go ;) The author blew the sexy times out of the water!!! It was absolutely brilliant!! Savvy and Killian were perfect together.

This is the fourth book in the Tear Asunder series, but in all honesty this book is a standalone. You don't have to read the other books in the series (but I HIGHLY recommend that you do) because the bandmates (and their wives/girlfriends) from the previous books are secondary support characters in this book. Killian and Savvy have a history together. What happens when an unexpected kiss between the most feared and angry guy in high school, Killian Kane -and the quiet, calming and captivating good girl - Savannah "Savvy" Grady completely changes both their lives? Can Killian finally let go of the demons haunting him or will Savvy have to walk away for a second time?

This book completely blew me away. Anyone who knows me KNOWS that I reallllly do not like past/present books because I get anxious and hate waiting for the other shoe to drop. But I absolutely loved our brief look at them in High School. I WANTED to stay there there with them, folks!! I was DISAPPOINTED that it moved to the present. This never happens to me. But it did and is a testament to Ms. Rose's amazing storytelling ability. This book was perfect. I can go on and on about this book because I loved it so hard. I loved the sexy, protective and mysterious drummer with the tragic past and the amazing girl he never let go. They were each other's home and sanctuary. Their love was magical and just so heartwarming. I know this story will stay with me for a long time. Bravo!!

5 "Just Breathe" Stars!

WOW! What a book! Second chance and a rock star romance…I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Kept From You is the fourth book in the series, and it’s Killian’s and Savvy’s chance to tell their story, and what a story it is! Killian aka Kite and Savvy have known each other since high school. They weren’t friends, but they weren’t enemies either. Kite had the reputation of being scary in school…fighting a lot. But, he fought for the underdogs, the kids that were bullied. Savvy wasn’t really frightened of Kite; she was drawn to him. All they really shared were some words and an unforgettable kiss before Savvy left town. But, they never forgot one another.

“God, it was incredible. It was my first kiss, and I had nothing to compare it with. But it was life changing because every kiss from now on would be compared to Killian’s.” ~Savvy

Eleven years will pass before the two meet again, and this time they will share a lot more than a few words! Ahhh….this is such a GREAT story!

Kite and Savvy are opposites in some ways. He was dark, and she was light. However, the two did share painful pasts but in very different ways. Each had a dream that they went after. As I always say, I love dual POVs, it gives such insight to the character’s thoughts. You had to have insight into Killian’s character to know what made him tick. I loved discovering that he had always been drawn to Savvy.

“But her long red curls had been a beacon and I’d been the lost ship looking for a way out of the angry, stormy sea of emotions.”~ Killian

He just wouldn’t allow himself to have her, and as you will discover, some were very good reasons. I love his protectiveness of her. And, Savvy, I couldn’t help but love and admire her. Life gave her a crap hand, but instead of wallowing in it, she was determined to make it better. She always showed people kindness even when she was in pain or suffering. I love when two characters complete each other, and these two certainly did.

The plot twists were excellent as well. Kite has a past and not a good one, and it just added to the story. I also loved the secondary characters, many from previous novels, even though this is my first book by this writer. Now, I’ll be going back and reading the other books in the series until the next one comes out! I always love finding great new writers so I’m looking forward to reading more by Nashoda Rose!

Kept from You is the fourth book in the Tear Asunder Series. Although you can read it as a stand-alone, I highly recommend you read the entire series from the beginning. The characters are deeply rooted in their relationships with each other, and the story arc is carefully constructed to overlap over the whole series. With each book in the series, I have fallen more in love with these characters and the world in which they dwell. To finally experience Killian Kane "aka Kite" was beyond perfection.

Savvy is beautiful inside and out. A talented dancer she has had to overcome a great loss. Living in her broken little world, she meets Killian. Although he seems hard and cold, she discovers a kindness in him. A spark is set, and although the circumstances are less than ideal, Killian and Savvy form a bond. When disaster strikes and they are torn apart. Both believe they will never see each other again.

Years later, Killian is thriving as the drummer for the hit band Tear Asunder. He never forgot Savvy and is shocked when she shows up backstage after one of his concerts. Savvy is looking for help from Killian, and although he would do anything for her, the help she needs is out of the question! As Killian and Savvy reconnect, the old flame ignites, and the two are brought together again. However, Killian is quite broken and must allow himself to be loved before they can move forward together. As the demons of their past threaten their blossoming romance, Savvy and Killian must cling to one another and find a way to battle the darkness together.

Told in dual POV, Kept from You is sexy, tender, raw, and beautifully broken. The characters are complex, and their life experiences make their stories that much more beautiful. The transformation that Killian makes throughout is heartbreaking, and yet, Savvy offers Killian the healing that he needs to find peace. The secondary characters continue to shape and mold the story with their relationships and circumstances. Loyalty and unwavering love continue to drive the action in this series, and each and every piece of the plot is weaved together with absolute perfection. The passion that exists between Killian and Savvy is fiery and thoroughly explored and the action is intense as the plot continues to unfold.

Overall, Kept from You is an absolute must read. The complex characters, non-stop action, tender relationships, and fiery passion make this second chance romance another blockbuster hit from Nashoda Rose! I simply adore this series! Each and every character is diverse, and yet, together they are complete. When it comes to the Tear Asunder Series, I will simply never get enough!

#NewReview KEPT FOR YOU (Tear Asunder #4) by NASHODA ROSE. We do love a second chance love story and this one certainly fit the bill. Killian is all sorts of kinky alpha possessive yummy, yet he's sweet, vulnerable and romantic as well. Not to mention sexy as sin for good measure! Savvy was a sharp, witty relatable character. We’ve read and loved everything this lady has written and after finishing Kept from You, we're convinced this is one of our favourite series! REVIEW LINK:: http://wp.me/p2WbFf-9ZY

So, the 4th Tear Asunder book.

Wow, it feels like forever since I met Sculpt, and fell in love with him.

So here's a fun fact: Torn From You was the first Dark Romance book I read some 3-4 years ago, and it was the book that made me fall in love with the genre. And because of that, I will forever be grateful to Rose.

Kite, from the very first book had been an enigma- the quiet bandmate, everyone respected, but at the same time so different from the rest.

To say that I have been curious about him would be an understatement.

I have always wanted to know more about him, and it isn't even until the end of the 3rd book, in Shattered By You, that we even come to know of his name.

Killian Kane.

He was every bit the man I expected him to be.

Tormented, possessive and true to his words.

When he was 16 he met Savvy, and from the very first time, something about her called to him. But because both of them were very young and because Savvy had just lost her mother, he let's her go with the warning that next time he meets her, he won't.

Cue 11 years into the future.

Savvy is a dancer, but she has no where to work. Desperate for some sort of job, she goes to the boy she loved as a child to ask for some job recommendation.

I have to say, I really liked Savvy. She was so different from Rose's other female characters from the series, that she was in some ways, a real breath of fresh air.

She was a complete wildcard, and I kind of kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. Well, I was glad that it did not. Sometimes an uncomplicated character is the best thing you can do to the story. For me, she perfectly complimented Killian.

He was very complicated. As a child, he had been really abused by his father, and the loss of his mother and brother fucked him up.

I was a bit frustrated with the way Rose tried to portray his character though. So he's this lady killer, and is into the hardcore stuff.. but he's also a virgin? Yeah I found that a little too hard to believe. He was waiting for Savvy to come back? Really? Yeah that part was the thing I'm not buying. Either he's a kinky motherfucker, or he's a virgin- decide. You can't tell me he's a sex god on his first try. I feel like if I complain about that for the ladies, I should complain about the men too. He's nearly 28, and he's never had sex.. but he's also into hardcore BDSM, and has skills of a seasoned pro. Try and make sense of that.

Other than that little twist Rose tried to throw at us, I really liked it.

Although staying true to it's genre, it does deal with certain dark themes, Kept From You is a lot lighter compared to it's predecessors. It is the perfect conclusion to this brilliant series.

Kept from You, Tear Asunde, Book 4, Nashoda Rose

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  romance,

I’ve loved this series so far, and this latest keeps up the drama and excitement.
When I read the first book Nashoda was an author new to me, and I really wasn’t sure I’d like her style, that first one was pretty dark. The excitement though, the edge of seat drama, the so-real romance and the way she turns everything around, pulled me through and sucked me in to the rest of the novels.
I don’t mind an edge of darkness, so long as there’s a solid and real feeling romance with it. This one is probably the least “dark” though its still got that undercurrent of violence running though.

It was great too to catch up with the rest of the band and families, to see how they’ve changed over the years.
Killian was a terrific lead, I adored him. His feelings for Saavy(Orchid as he calls her) are incredibly intense, but not in that overdone macho way so many reads have. I could just feel how he struggled with his feelings, with his need to protect her, against letting her have her freedom to do what she wanted, find her way, and his background was heart breaking.
Saavy, loved her. Fiercely independent, one of those rare people who see good in others, who will stand up against bullies even though she’s scared.
Now after eleven years she’s put herself back in Killian’s orbit, she needs a favour from him. She’s been let down by her boss/lover and is now jobless, moneyless and soon to be homeless, she needs the dancing job she’s after, but to get a chance she needs Killian’s intro to the owner.
She thinks a quick recommendation if she’s lucky, after all, though she’s nervous she really is at the bottom and got nothing to lose only her pride.

Killian’s never forgotten her and now she’s back in front of him he can’t let go. Wow, the feelings and emotions between these two, the contrast of such contained violence and the gentle man he is with Saavy is amazing.
I loved them, loved the story, the little sub plots running through that slowly joined up, and all made sense as they connected.
The band stuff is there in the background but its not one of those guys on tour reads, more a book about characters that are in a band together.

Its another wonderful read, and just taking a look at what else Nashoda has written I’ve seen the Unyielding series. That starts with Deck and Georgie, important secondary characters that appear throughout the novels, and whom I’ve always wondered about. There’s something about their on but not quite on relationship that is so intriguing, and throughout the books I’ve always wondered just what their story is. So now when the time allows I’m up for reading their story too

Stars: Five, another fabulous read featuring the band.

This book. I don't know where to begin. I absolutely LOVED it. I'm not surprised because I love this series. Every book has been just as good as the first. Author Nashoda Rose is creative and original. Sculpt (book 1) was sexy and intense. Ream was damaged and beautiful (book 2). Crisis was cocky with a heart of gold. But, Kite...dayum...just dayum. He gave Sculpt a run for his money and then he stole my heart.

This book is really about them. Kite and Savvy. Their relationship. It starts in the past, then jumps to the present with some flashbacks of Kite's life as a child. It's told in alternating POV, which I love. Kite is controlling, protective, possessive and dominating. He is a total alpha male. He is also tortured and fighting inner demons caused by events from his past that were not in his control. My heart broke for him.

Tragedy takes Savvy away from her home and Kite. Unfortunate circumstances bring her back. Their reunion isn't sweet. Author Nashoda Rose stays true to her characters and I love her for that. Besides his inner demons, there are other obstacles that threaten them and try to get in their way. Despite Kite's warnings, Savvy refuses to go away. And so starts their dance.

Their push/pull is intense. Their attraction and chemistry is so thick, it's palpable. It's like the air around them is charged. I love that Savvy gives as good as she gets. She doesn't cow down to him. It makes it much more interesting and fun. Their banter and interaction is filled with innuendo. The things Kite says! Sweet Jesus! He is sex on legs. The sex is steamy and erotic.

I love how all the guys and their partners are in the story because they are so close it wouldn't make sense if they weren't. They are an integral part of each other's lives, so although this is Kite's story, Sculpt, Ream, Crisis, Matt, Emily, Kat, and Haven are in it. The bond the friends share is so true. They are family by choice. They provide humor too when it gets tense, especially Ream and Crisis. Savvy's friend, Trevor is pretty awesome too. I want a bff like him.

Kept From You is a dark, gritty, sexy, hot read. Kite's story is a journey in redemption and forgiveness. Of letting go to move forward. One of true love, friendship and what family really means. It is not a standalone but can be read as one. Though there will be spoilers for the other books. I suggest you read the series in order if you haven't yet. It's an amazing series. You won't regret it. If you've been waiting for Kite's story, the wait is over and it was worth it. Highly recommend. Must read.

“Savvy had always had something in her that tamed the lightning ever since the first time I saw her.”

This novel was passionate, electric and erotic!

“Hearing her lyrical voice dripping like honey as she’d said my name was like the wall I’d put up around me splintered and lay at her feet.”

Killian ‘Kite’ Kane is something of a mystery. There is no shortage of women in his life, and rumours abound about his love of kink and piercings. However, no one really knows the real Kite – the real Killian, with his tragic past, except his closest friend, Logan/Sculpt. When a beautiful face from his past gatecrashes one of the band’s concerts, eleven-year-old feelings come flooding back, and he realises that now she’s found him, again, he cannot keep away from her.

“If you come near me again, next time I won’t let you go.”

He’d warned her when they were teenagers. Their connection is just as real as it had been back then. Savannah ‘ Savvy’ Grady, a dance teacher, desperately needs a job, after the messy break-up with her ex-boyfriend, who was also her boss. As a last ditch attempt at landing a dancing gig in an exclusive nightclub, she approaches Killian to put in a good word for her with the boss of the nightclub, as she knows they’re friends. However, Killian is against Savvy dancing at the club. That is, until he strikes a bargain with her. One month of fake-dating in exchange for dancing at the club. It was a win-win situation for Savvy, although she wasn’t sure quite what Killian would get out of the arrangement, as it was well-known he didn’t date and he didn’t have girlfriends. Unfortunately, those pesky feelings interfere and what should have been an easy month of fake-dating turns into something passionate, irresistible, and very real.

“It was dangerous, the way I felt about her. Powerful. Intense. Consuming. And yeah, it was obsessive.”

The chemistry between Killian and Savvy was electric! Killian is a complex man, carrying around haunting guilt, burning hatred, and undeniable love. He NEEDS Savvy in his life. He wanted her desperately – all of her. His orchid. “Exotic. Graceful. Beautiful and strong. And one of the most coveted plants.” – she was all these things to him. I loved how possessive and protective he was of her. Savvy has been independent for so long out of necessity. She saw beyond his anger to the real guy beneath – she saw his “good bits”. She needed him in her life just as much as he needed her. I loved how well she understood him, even though he kept himself closed off from her.

“You’re going to kiss me, Savvy. And when you do, there’ll be no going back.”

God, this book was hot! The build-up to the main event was so sexy and erotic. And, the feels! Gah! I just loved Killian’s intensity where Savvy was concerned.

Such a great book to round of the Tear Asunder series and I ADORED the ending! I understand there will be further novels based on side characters from the series and, honestly, can’t wait to read them!

A sweet Nashoda Rose? I didn’t know there was such a thing. Kept From You had its dark bits but I found myself smiling at the end which was a complete surprise.

Things were not going well for Savvy, our heroine. She put her trust in the wrong man and got seriously screwed. After losing her home, her job, and her reputation as a dancer it was time for desperate measures. She needed to ask Killian, who she had a strange push and pull relationship with in high school, for help.

Killian was dark, sexy, and so full of anger that he battled to contain you could almost feel it coming off the pages. You knew if he ever lost that control someone was going to get hurt or maybe even die. In his life, especially in his teenage years, the only bright spot he could see was Savvy. Back then, determined not to ruin her with his issues he stayed away. In a moment of weakness, there was one kiss right before she was taken away that he held onto. As a teenager he let her go, as a man, he didn’t think he had it in him to do it again but he was going to try.

The drummer for Tear Asunder, Killian had come a long way from the boy he was in high school. He was bossy, controlling, and goodness the man was hot. He also had an interesting secret that when brought to light I wasn’t quite sure how to take. When he finally talked his way through Savvy’s defenses and into her bed, I wanted to be Savvy because damn, he definitely knew how to work a woman.

Savvy was just so sweet and nice despite the difficulty of her upbringing after her father died. Life kept knocking her down but she would just get up, dust off and go on. She refused to believe that a person could be nothing but bad so she was nice to everyone (well, except for Killian’s father whom she thought just might be pure evil). With this being a Nashoda Rose book, who has written some dark books, the more I grew to like her, the bigger a ball of dread grew in the pit of my stomach. I knew the other shoe was going to drop and something bad happening to Savvy would be akin to the world’s sweetest puppy getting kicked.

Although there were dark elements to be found, this was nowhere near the suspense filled dark book I expected. I immensely enjoyed it but I would have like a little bit more action and maybe a more permanent resolution for the antagonist.

I loved seeing old friends and the epilogue was fantastic. I’m looking forward to Trevor’s book. I have loads and loads of questions about him.

Rating: 4 Surprisingly Sweet Stars

OMFG I FLOVE THIS BOOK !!!!! OH MY KILLIAN KANE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I literally wanted to jump into the book and throw myself at him. I love broody Alpha's and Killian was definitely that and then some. He is commanding, demanding and unapologetic and just I have chills.

This book had my heart pounding and I was soooo giddy. Killian owned me the entire time and then when we find out a bit more about him my heart ached completely. Yes he is definitely one of my new book boyfriends.

So many moments in this book where I thought OMFG. I need to lie down for a minute, I feel faint it's hot as sin in here. The sexual tension palpable between Savvy and Killian.

There are some revelations in this book and one in particular that had me in complete SHOCK but at the same time I thought WOW that's it stick a fucking fork in me I am done., I can't believe that I'M DEAD. Even now I still keep thinking NO way and firmly cemented that Killian is officially one of my fav's

This book just went on the list of one of my fav reads this year..

My rating - 5 OMFG LOVED IT stars
