Favorite of the series by far! I have been dying to read Drew's story and it definitely did not disappoint.

Drew is mysterious and cold in some aspects. He does not let people in. This is not without reason though and I loved getting to know him better. I fell hard for him by the end of the story. Shelby is much more lighthearted and definitely the opposite of Drew. I loved her though and thought she was his perfect complement.

Their chemistry was off the charts smoking hot and I loved seeing how they progress throughout the story. The twists definitely kept me on the edge of my seat and I am dying to read more from this series!

Drew was one of my favorite characters and I couldn't wait for his story. He is the main reason I wanted to read this book so bad!!

Drew is hot and I thought I continue liking him as much as in the previous books but in this one I had some issues with his character, there were moments he frustrated me a lot and upset me.Shelby is a lovable character. She is sweet and strong.

The plot was good but for some reason in the end I felt like something was missing.I love this series and I would definitely recommend it.

I've been waiting for the conclusion to this mystery since RUTHLESS was released last year. I was initially drawn to this series because of the cover on that book. But once I read the synopsis Lexi Blake had my interest and when I started reading those very first words I was completely hooked. The ending of book 2, SATISFACTION, left me with my heart racing and my jaw on the floor. I was not expecting that turn of events.

“She told us to back off or she would finish what she started all those years ago.”

For this review I think you need a bit of background on where this story began. More than 20 years ago the Lawless family is rocked with tragedy when Iris and Benedict Lawless are murdered and their children left for dead in a burning house. Convinced that this was no accident the 4 Lawless children seek revenge for their parents’ lives and uncovers secrets lies and truths no child should learn about the people they love.

“Having his whole world ripped out from under him could have an effect on even the kindest soul. Who would Drew Lawless be if his parents had lived?”

Brooding bad boy with a tortured past? Sign me up. All the siblings play a very prominent role throughout the series and I have been DYING for Drew’s story since the very beginning. Each of the Lawless novel follows a different brother. Book 1, RUTHLESS, is Riley’s story. Book 2, SATISFACTION, is Bran’s story. The long awaited final book, REVENGE, follows Andrew Lawless. The quiet nerd and biggest asshole may just be the most vulnerable of the Lawless brothers. Forced to stay strong when all was lost he’s has always been there for his siblings. As the oldest sibling Drew was thrown into parenthood earlier than any young man should be. He promised to take care of them and to find justice and revenge for their parents.

“The dead have already found their peace. Revenge is nothing more than a selfish pursuit.”

In their last efforts to find the answers they seek, Drew hires Shelby Gates an investigative reporter. He hires her under the guise of giving her the biggest story of her career. Shelby’s life has been altered and her heart broken by those who hurt his family and she needs answers just as bad as Drew does. The chemistry and tension between these two was fascinating. I knew Drew’s lies would come to back to haunt him but I hoped it wouldn’t cause him to lose the one woman to ever make it past his defenses. Shelby broke down his walls and made a place for herself in his heart. Would Drew be able to put his pride and misguided sense of duty to accept her? You’ll have to read to find out!

“And just like that, nothing else mattered. This was the story of a lifetime and she couldn’t let it pass.”

If you love a good romantic suspense that will keep you on your toes, I very highly recommend you pick up this series. It more than lived up to my expectations and I can’t wait to read more of Lexi’s work. You can learn some of Mia Lawless-Taggart’s story in Lexi Blake’s Masters and Mercenaries series. Overall the Lawless novels were gripping. Lexi had me thinking I knew where the story was going only to completely blindside me with something different. This is a story I will definitely be revisiting. Maybe the second time through I can catch something I missed initially.

“Sometimes things that seem coincidental are actually quiet well panned.”

Since the day his parents died and he pulled his siblings out of the fire to safety, Drew Lawless has lived his life with single minded purpose: keep his family safe and bring down those responsible for the murder of his parents. That focus drove him to grow up much sooner than he should have and it shows in the man he is today. Although he is a billionaire with a hugely successful company, he can relate far better to lines of code than he can to other human beings. He is socially awkward and a bit robotic at times, but his loyalty and devotion to his family is proof that his heart beats strongly under the hard exterior even if he doesn't always know how to show it.

The first time he saw Shelby after months of corresponding with her, he finally understood a bit about why his brothers and sister all paired off with their significant others recently. Drew needs Shelby to help him get to the bottom of information he recently discovered without involving his siblings but he wants her on a personal level too. So Drew does what he does best: he approaches it as a business deal with a side of manipulation to stack the deck in his favor while shielding his family.

Shelby knows exactly how ruthless and how much of a jerk Drew can be to anyone who gets in the way of his quest for vengeance. As she spends more time with him and gets to know him better, she gets glimpses of the lost little boy who never had a chance to grow up the way he should have and she comes to understand his limitations. He needs her to help him break through the walls around his heart and to learn how to live for himself for a change. They definitely get hot and heavy but there is always a looming threat hanging over them in the forms of the contract Drew conned her into signing and the lengths the murderer is willing to go to in order to keep their secret hidden forever.

As they race to bring the truth to light once and for all, it is far from a smooth ride! Lingering questions that I have harbored around Hatch's involvement in the murders are finally answered, the Lawless siblings find out they have another family member floating around out there in the world, and years of manipulation and lies are finally unraveled. Through it all, Shelby has to decide if she is willing to fight for herself and Drew since he doesn't know how to do it himself, and choosing him will mean notoriety that will compromise her anonymity in her undercover investigations.

Drew's story was everything I could have hoped for! Revenge was a great conclusion to this story arc and I am hopefully that we will still see glimpses of this family in future stories from the author especially since Mia is part of the Taggart clan as well. And perhaps we may see that new family member in a story all their own in the future- at least I am hoping so!

What would you do to exact Revenge for the deaths of your parents? Would you ruin lives? Would you kill someone? This is the conundrum Drew Lawless finds himself. He’s the protector of his brothers and sisters. He’s actively worked to avenge the brutal death of his parents, but to hammer the final nail in the coffin, to make all his plans come to fruition, Drew needs help. Something he doesn’t ask for willingly. And that help comes wrapped up in one beautiful, smart, sexy package—Shelby Gates.

As an investigative reporter, Shelby’s used to all kinds of things—she’s been exposed to danger on numerous occasions, but never has her heart and soul been threatened. That’s exactly what happens when Shelby and Drew mix business with a whole lot of pleasure. But as Shelby and Drew get closer to solving the murder, they also get closer and closer to realizing that this might be true love. When life and love are truly threatened, will the both give up on their relationship to keep the other safe, or will love prevail when the stakes are life or death.

One word: swoon. I have adored that, brooding, nerdy Drew Lawless from the very beginning of this Lawless series. He’s the ultimate big brother—always putting family first, protecting them from themselves as well as any and all horrible details regarding the death of their parents. He’s not put himself and his needs first at any time. But when Shelby enters the picture, he just can’t help himself. I loved their relationship from the start. There were no secrets between them. It was refreshing! And hella sexy. *fans self* I loved how they just got each other. I loved the interconnection of all the siblings’ storylines too. Loved catching up with them and how the series wrapped up. I really want more—perhaps a novella set a few years in the future? Pretty please!

The story has laughs, danger, suspense, and heartbreak.

I would recommend reading the below before reading this story
Ruthless (Lawless, #1)
Satisfaction (Lawless #2)

This is Shelby and Drew’s story. Drew has a deal for Shelby but will the deal end up putting them both in danger? The chemistry between these two is off the charts but will that help the investigation or hurt it? If they are wrapped up in each other are they really doing the investigating they should be? Will the danger end up on top of them before they can figure out what that danger is? Will Drew and his brothers ever get the answers to their parents deaths?

I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

5 It All Comes Full Circle Stars!!!

WOW WOW WOW!!! Well, Lawless left us with quite the revelation at its ending and Revenge picks right back up where we left off. Drew has convinced Shelby to be his girlfriend while giving her access for the book regarding his parents. I really was quite irritated with him. It was obvious to me that she's the best thing that could happen to Drew and help him get over this lifelong pursuit of revenge and show him there's so much more to life like love and passion and friendship.

In the meantime though, there are so many secrets coming out of the woodwork and from people's pasts that had me in a constant state of shock and my mouth gapping open. There's so many moving parts that haven't even been disclosed but this book brings everything full circle. It also gives the Lawless kids second thoughts on who they thought their parents were including those closest to them. My heart was a little broken for each of them because the life they thought they were fighting to get back, wasn't exactly what they thought it was going to be.

Add in the suspense, the drama, the hotter than hot chemistry between Drew and Shelby and their burgeoning feelings for each other and we've got a book that had me turning the pages as fast as I possibly could.

This is definitely a series that should not be missed and I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to discover and fall in love with the Lawless family!

This is the third book in the Lawless series by Lexi Blake and it’s about the most difficult of the Lawless boys and that’s Drew. The ongoing storyline of who killed the Lawless kids parents comes to a conclusion, and it’s quite a whopper of an ending. No big surprise though, Lexi is fantastic at coming up with some mega-amazing plot bunnies. And no, I’m not going to disclose any here.

Drew has been dealing with pesky reporter Shelby Gates who has been trying to look into his parents deaths, but he’s been throwing road blocks at her, including lawyers. Now, he plans to use Shelby to solve the case once and for all, especially since he knows who the fourth culprit is and he plans on using Shelby to draw them out. He has her sign a contract, promising her the rights to the information so she can publish, but he has no intention on letting her keep that material. He also has her pretend to be his girlfriend. This would never backfire on him, would it?

As always, I just loved this book, though there were so many times in this book I wanted to drop kick Drew for his behavior and how he planned on treating Shelby. But, a happy ending was had by all. And just maybe we’ll get another book out of this series with Noah? Unless he crosses over into Ian’s world.

After reading satisfaction I was in shock, the plot twist literally smacked me in the face ,so when I got the chance to read an Arc of Revenge I was thrilled! I dived into this book as soon as I possibly could and it was fantastic omg! this book was sooo sooo soooooo goodd!!!

In this book we follow Drew and Shelby. I have been eagerly anticipating Drew's book every since we got our very first glimpse of him so I was so happy that this was his bo. I admire him because of how much he wants to protect all of his loved one and at the same time I want to shack him at times because of how closed off he can be at time , because he wants protect everyone ,honestly seeing him open up to Shelby and his family have to be some of my favorite moments in the book .Drew is definitely very swoon worthy and even though he makes you want to pull your hair out sometimes lol he is good person .I loved Shelby , there were times in this book I wish I could be more like Shelby she is so intelligent and honestly gives Carmen Sandiego and Nancy Drew a run for there money when she is getting ready to dig into a mystery . I thought she was perfect for Drew, there are literally moments that these two share in this book that honestly make me feel like one of those cartoons characters with the heart eyes lol . Lexi Blake always manages to create these unforgettable romances that that make you feel all the emotions possible and make you so invested that have to remind your self over and over that these are characters and now real people lol . However there was so much more to this story than just the romance as we come closer and closer to solving the mystery of The Drews Parents death, things are revealed that I once again did not see coming , I loved that Iam constantly kept on my toes while reading a Lexi Blake book , I could have never guess where things would lead and how sick , manipulative and twisted the big villain really is, but at the same time I felt every thing came full circle .Revenge is a sexy , addicting , thrilling read that is officially on my best reads of 2017 list and I cannot wait to see what Lexi Blake will write next .

The Good, The Bad, and Everything In Between
-The finale to the Lawless Series...for now. I’ve learned to never say never because I have enjoyed Lexi Blake’s offshoot of the Masters & Mercenaries series featuring the Lawless siblings. If Ms. Blake chose to continue with this series, I would not object (hint, hint, nudge, nudge).

-More of a straight contemporary/romantic suspense. I love me some well-done BDSM and Ms. Blake knows her way around a BDSM relationship, without a doubt. However, I love that the Lawless series has focused more on the suspense and the romances have been been more vanilla than not. It’s a nice change of pace without sacrificing the level of heat Ms. Blake can bring.

-Hot alpha nerd alert. Drew, the eldest Lawless sibling, is probably the most damaged one of all, as he is the one who saved his siblings from the fire that covered up the murders of their parents and he scraped and clawed his way to bring his family back together and he’s been driving the revenge train to find out who murdered them. He is THE hottest hero in this bunch and he is my favorite. His need to control and manipulate situations to get what he wants is ingrained in him and he’s definitely twisted in his need for that control. I loved his character arc and the way love softens his edges but does more to bring out his positive attributes, not really changing him. He’s the one who his family turns to and he is the one man who needed a strong heroine to go toe to toe with him or this romance wouldn’t work. Thank you RomanceJesus, Shelby is that heroine.

-Ballsy heroine. Shelby has been investigating the Lawless murders and has not hesitated to butt heads with Drew, which pretty much told me that they were destined to get together. I was not wrong. I liked Shelby’s pragmatic side and her empathy for Drew and why he is the way he is. She never felt as if she was just womansplaining for him and she would call him on his BS in a way that worked for me.

-The wrapup to the mystery is satisfying. There’s some long standing questions I had that were answered, though I don’t think the bombshell dropped at the end of the last book wasn’t topped, in my opinion. My only quibble is the inevitable breakup felt a little obvious, and waiting for the climax of the story to come was a little slow, but when it explodes the tension more than makes up for the wait. I think it was satisfying to see the fallout from that bomb play out and the ripples it caused throughout the canvas. Now, that doesn’t mean that there weren’t surprises in this book and one big surprise is giving me hope for the future, so I finished this with a smile and a bit of hope for more, but if there isn’t I am more than happy with the way it all wrapped up..

The Bottom Line 4.5 stars
I really enjoyed this wrap up to the Lawless series and Drew’s my newest hot nerd hero crush. . There’s glimpses of old favorites mixed in with a few surprises, and all in all, good romantic suspense is had. If you were curious about Ms. Blake, but weren’t into the BDSM, I think this is the series for you. I definitely recommend it.

WOW! What a fan-freaking-tastic conclusion to a roller coaster ride of a series. The end of Satisfaction had me reeling, screaming “WTF just happened” and left me wanting more… More passion, more sexy Lawlessness and more answers. I couldn’t wait to get my greedy hands on Drew’s book and finally untangle the convoluted web of secrets and deceptions behind his father’s murder. Although my anticipations ran high, deep down I did not want this saga to end. Seeing all their heartaches and joys, I fell in love with the Lawless family and will miss them tremendously. Lexi Blake has out done herself with another intense romance filled with twists and turns that had me constantly on edge. Revenge was by far my favorite read within the trilogy.

This is Drew’s story and he stole the show and my heart in this read. To fully understand his character, his experiences and the complexities of the story line, you’ll need to read the prior two installments. He’s a survivor. A fighter. A shrewd and successful businessman. Above all - Drew loves his family to a fault, selflessly putting their safety, happiness and protection before his own. Wary of outsiders, very few are permitted into his inner circle of trust, and with good reason. On the surface he’s guarded and manipulative, bringing the broody-temperamental-reclusive hero persona to a whole new level of sexy. But seeing his painful past, I understood the revenge seeking man he needed to be. I adored him despite his often-assholish like tendencies and I could not wait for that heartwarming moment when the iceman cracked under the weight of sweet Shelby’s affections. That’s when I truly fell for all things Drew, seeing him change from detached and unapproachable to so openly loving.

Shelby’s the perfect match for the likes of Drew. This tenacious reporter, hired to investigate the decades old murder of Ben Lawless, has a soft spot when it comes to our hero. Beyond compassionate and understanding, she endearingly tends to all of Drew’s needs - showering him with love while melting his icy heart. Together, their sexual chemistry explodes, making this the hottest read of the series. The connection they share is powerful and instantaneous.

Once again Blake had me under her spell, imprisoned within the pages of her riveting love story. This read had it all…lust, passion, intensity, unending plot twists, lovable characters, nefarious villains and touching emotional moments. For fans of romantic suspense, this series is a must read.

This was a good book! This is Drew and Shelby's book. At the end of the previous book in the series, Satisfaction, a bombshell rocked Drew Lawless and his plans for Revenge on the people who murdered his parents when he was a child. Now Drew's quest for revenge has a new target and in order to keep his siblings safe, he must hide the truth from them. He decides to hire investigative journalist, Shelby, to help him investigate on the downlow, while posing as his girlfriend. Shelby's brother was murdered after investigating this same case, so Shelby has been investigating in on her own, with plans to write a book. Drew tells Shelby that she can write a book if she poses as his girlfriend. Both Drew and Shelby are attracted to each other, and as they work together, their relationship becomes real. But as the past comes back to threaten the Lawless family, Drew starts to fear for Shelby's safety and pushes her away. Shelby must decide to stay strong and loyal to Drew to help him overcome his past and get over his thirst for Revenge.

I felt like this book started off very strong and really enjoyed it. But I did think that Drew's behavior started to get annoying after a while. I understood that he was damaged because of his past, but I really needed him to start to grow and communicate more. I wanted more groveling and apologizing from him for his behavior. Shelby was the one who had to compromise and say she'll stay no matter what he did. I wanted him to man up, express his love more, and say why he loved her. He definitely frustrated me, but I did like him in spite of his flaws. I really liked Shelby too, despite her tendency to let Drew treat her like a doormat at times. Otherwise, Shelby was strong and spunky, with a good heart. Drew was loyal and protective of his family. He was so used to being a rock for his orphaned siblings that it made it hard for him to let go and actually feel feelings for someone besides his siblings. Inside though, he was starving for love and he soaked up everything Shelby gave him. I was glad to see them happy together. Shelby healed his internal wounds and helped him see that revenge was not the most important part of life.

I loved the way the ongoing series story arc concluded. I felt satisfied that everyone got what they deserved. I enjoyed catching up with the other Lawless couples, as well as the introduction of new characters and a cameo by my favorite Taggart, Ian.

Overall, this book was a good suspenseful and sexy read! I have really enjoyed this series and look forward to more from Lexi Blake!

I've been not so patiently wait for the conclusion of this series and I have to say I was not disappointed! I loved Drew’s character but at times I wanted to knock some sense into him when it came to Shelby. He was very stubborn and refused to see what he could have when it came to her and kept pushing her away. I also wanted to tell Shelby to stop letting Drew treat you like that as well. Yes, he does have issues but that's no excuse for his behavior. This story was filled with a lot of twist and turns and at one point I wasn't sure who could be trusted as I kept reading. Lexi Blake has a way of sucking you in with her writing. This was an enjoyable read and sad that the series has come to an end!

Revenge is the third (and final?) book in the Lawless series by Lexi Blake. I wish I could say that I enjoyed this book as much as I loved the other two, but I can't. The story felt too rushed. I don't feel like Drew and Shelby got the attention they should have gotten. I wanted to see them romancing each other without the hurry of finding out all the pieces of the puzzle. I wanted to see more romance.

To be honest, here, I felt like I didn't get a resolution in the end. I am having some "Is this it?" moments and if this is truly the end of the story, then I will be a little disappointed. I expected something more because I know the author can do it. The writing wasn't bad, but the story needed more pages and time to be told. I loved seeing all the characters together and I liked the new addition. For most of the book, I was wondering who is on the good side and who is on the bad. I barely managed to keep myself from reading the end in order to find out who was telling the truth and who was having secrets. I was quite hyped about this and maybe that's the reason I feel like I was let down with the story. While it's not one of Blake's best works, it still better than some of the books I read recently.

Revenge is the intense, powerful and riveting conclusion to the Lawless series and the book I have been waiting for. It combines passion and familial love with intrigue and danger in a fast paced and enjoyable story. It is centered on two amazing characters: tech billionaire Andrew, aka Drew, Lawless and Shelby Gates, reporter extraordinaire and badass investigator.

Revenge picks up where Satisfaction ends. Drew has found the people responsible for his family’s destruction. But one of them is still alive, and he needs to protect his siblings. He has hired Shelby to help him track down this dangerous predator and master manipulator. I loved getting into Drew’s head, he is rational, self-assured, cocky and yet so vulnerable. Drew and Shelby got off on the wrong foot, but they are a great team. Shelby wants to help him finally find justice. Drew is deeply scarred by his tragedy, he is amazed that Shelby can handle him, with his weird, manipulative and ruthless side. She puts up with his socially awkward, frustrating nature. He’s not the most emotional guy, at least not outwardly, but he cannot deny the attraction he feels for her. Their bond keeps getting stronger, they have a natural connection despite their rocky beginning.

Drew is a man who plots and plans to get what he wants, his courtship is unusual. But even though he is a shark in business, with his family, he is sweet, loyal and protective. He has learned to guard himself, but he wants to be a better person for Shelby. She is a wonderful character, warm, tolerant and patient. And obviously, she is not immune to his charm.

I was captivated by this dramatic, sexy and thrilling story from start to finish. Lexi Blake definitely delivered with this final installment that reveals shocking twists, turns and harsh truths. The way this author writes romantic suspense is flawless, with a perfect balance between the characters’ smoldering romance and heart pounding action and drama. I loved the Lawless family, with their dedication to one another and great family spirit. Highly recommended!

Revenge by Lexi Blake is the third installment in the Lawless Series. Book one - Ruthless is Riley and Ellie's book; and book two - Satisfaction is Bran and Carly's book.

Revenge is a contemporary romance novel and can easily be read as a stand alone.
This is Drew and Shelby's book.
Andrew- Drew Lawless oldest brother and head of the family hires Shelby Gates, a reporter to investigate the death of his parents.

I literally just finished this book and now I'm sitting here and I'm speechless. I love this book. I love the words, I love the characters and I love the writing.
Revenge has everything that I love in a book. Heroes, villains, characters those emotions I could feel in the words, twists and very unexpected turns.
I loved to read about the Lawless', the Taggarts and other old friends and acquaintances.
I Highly recommend this book and give 5 Stars. Thank you Lexi Blake!

Would you believe this is my first Lexi Blake novel? And, I started at the end of a series rather than the beginning and now I may be ruined because Drew Lawless just jumped to the top of my book boyfriend list.

Revenge is the 3rd and final book in Blake’s Lawless series, bringing the Lawless family to the brink of the revenge they've searched for, led by patriarch Drew. This guy is a romance novel hero for the 21st century. He's hot, he's a nerd, he's socially awkward, and he'll protect his family at all costs. Unlike some heroes we meet, Drew was far from perfect and his social ineptness made me cringe frequently, but this just made him all the more real. And he met his match in Shelby Gates.

Blake knocked it out of the park with her main characters in Revenge. Shelby is an investigative reporter, a journalist with integrity who digs deep for the truth. She's strong, smart, independent, persistent, and patient, all characteristics that make her the perfect woman for Drew who needs someone to lean on after he's been strong for everyone else. I loved them as individuals and as a couple, a perfect one-two punch.

As I suspect all Lexi Blake novels are, this book, at the heart, is about family and belonging. Drew has spent all of his adult life making sure his family is safe. Shelby has spent most of hers longing to belong to a family after her father abandoned hers and the deaths of her mother and brother. The threat they face as the Lawless family revenge reaches its climax is romantic suspense at its best with danger and surprises around every turn. Even though I haven’t read the earlier books in the series or any of the McKay-Taggart books, I didn’t feel as though I was missing anything. In fact, all the returning characters seamlessly slipped into my consciousness as people I knew and liked. The chemistry between all the characters made this a book that I could read more than once and the intrigue was smart and engaging.

4 stars for Revenge. Heat level: 4/5
