This was my second Madden read, and yes, I was as suitably impressed by this book as well. The characters held their own against each other though Zara was slightly annoying at times specifically when his real name was eventually revealed. All in all a good read and I recommend giving it a try.

A.M. Madden has done it again. Her mix of humor, romance, angst and heat is an explosive combination. Lance (aka Landon Price - Hollywood Screen star) was looking for a place to get away from it all. He escapes to one of the lesser known Hawaiian islands. Traveling under the name of Lance White, complete with baseball hat, sun glasses and chartered planes, no one would recognize one of Hollywood's brightest stars. Along comes "Spike", his new found furry friend and soon after Spike's beautiful owner, Zara. With the tables turned, will Lance be able to withstand the charms of Zara and return to his life in the spotlight, under the scrutiny of the public. More importantly will he be able to leave Zara? I am still basking in the love and warmth of this book. I fear I may need to go in search of my own little private beach on an island away from it all. Thank for this little slice of heaven A.M. Madden.

Oh this book ! So many things happening, I was happy everything was resolved. I will so be reading more from this author.

Landon Price is an actor who is ready for his next career move as well as a break. He knows he can't have it if he stays in California, he wants to be himself without fans flocking for attention. He heads to a small island in Hawaii looking for peace and to work on a book he wants to write It doesn't take long before his isolation is breached by a dog. Then he meets Zara Jobert.

Zara has no idea who Landon is but Landon feels something for Zara. He wants to date her, he wants to do more than that while hiding his identity. Zara though has parents who, even though she is an adult, are protective. Can Landon win the girl and will the girl accept him for who he is?

I was on pins and needles with this one waiting for Zara to figure out who Landon is. The chemistry is off the charts and I thought the story behind her parents was one I could understand. Great read, quickly paced and you pulled in from page one.

No Spoilers! The title , Vanishing Act, says A lot!!!!! Tragedy strikes Landon , he then needs to get away and takes sometime for himself. So he changes he identity for a short time (because he is famous) to Lance and sets off to a pretty remote location..... He then encounters Zara and this is where the story , lies, and twist begin...... An overall good read!

I found this book to be a fast read but really nothing to special. Some parts were predictable, but for a fun fast read this would be the book for it. The male lead character is looking to get away from the spotlight and ends up on a Hawaiian Beach. Zara Jorbert is not looking for a man especially someone who is famous and cocky. They are running from something and looking for something or someone can it be each other?

I really love this author. This book was entertaining.

A hero who has enough of the spotlight and would like some much needed peace so he rushes off to find some nice and quiet and sees this girl.. But she knows guys like him and doesn't wanna get into all this.. But he knows different..

A nice romance.

Boy meets dog, girl finds dog, boy meets girl and sparks begin to fly. An unusual, pleasant romance worth reading.

An addictive read by A.M Madden. She really knows how to do a book justice

So, I requested this book thinking it was J.M. Madden - my bad!

Landon Price is a famous actor, he runs away to Hawaii to recharge where he meets a beautiful South African girl, who has no idea who he is! They bond over her dog, which keeps running away and who can blame him with a name like Marshmallow and then proceed to fall instantly in love.

This was just too NA/YA cliched for me, nothing seemed to be happening and I couldn't see the chemistry, it was more like they were the first person of the opposite sex that each other had seen and so it was insta-lurve.

I tried to get into this book three times but finally gave up when a sandy beach and a large gin and tonic didn't help. Recommended for the younger and less cynical.

Love romantic reads of any type. Written beautifully!

This was a good story, not my favorite by Madden but all in all a good story. I love the author's writing style and her characters are well develp[ed. However while reading I just knew I'd read this before. It's the same kind of storyline you see how the time. Maybe next time I'll enjoy the story more.

I liked this story. The writing style was great and the characters well developed, I just felt that I had read this storyline many times already and it didn't stand out as anything extraordinary to me.

I rated this only 3 stars because it was very predictable and there wasn't anything dramatic that happened to keep my attention. It was just a typical romance with not much awe factor.
I won't rule this author completely out. I would still try another book by A.M. Madden in the future and hope for the best.

This is a romantic story. It serves as a reminder, that famous or not, people are all the same. They want the basic necessities in life. Love, passion, a life to share with others, privacy. Landon and Zara are a wonderful pair, who serve to provide you a romance that you can read on the beach, curled in a hammock or in bed. Throw in a meddlesome dog, and community, and this has turned into one of my favorite reads lately. Well written, romantic and worth picking up.

What would you do if the person you were falling for isn't the person you thought they were? Would you fight for the chance with them or would you hide to protect yourself? Each of these characters must ask and answer these questions. Both of them see something in the other person but with both of them holding something back do they have a chance?

This book has many ups and down I want to tell you all about but don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this author will take you on a journey from the very first word to the very end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Anybody that has read other books by the author will love this book. The pace was smooth and at no time lagged. The characters were believable and likeable. I enjoyed the storyline and plot. My one issue was the language but otherwise is was a really great book that I'd recommend to anyone that enjoys the authors previous books.

I loved this book! From beginning to end I loved the dynamic between the two. I think it moved fast during some parts but overall a new favorite for sure!

I'm glad that I have given a chance to read the ARC because I am to have a glimpse of the glitz and glamor of a Hollywood celebrity. I'm thrilled that the point of view is Landon. He is such a romantic and sincere guy, Zara is so lucky to have him!

A South African girl who doesn't know much about cellphone, internet and Landon Price, Zara is definitely a lovely and innocent lady that easily captivated Landon's attention. I'm giving props to Spike aka Marshmallows, he is truly an adorable and smart dog.
