I really enjoyed reading this book! Griffin and Vickie are new characters to the series (I think. Horrible memory, here!) And I think this is the first of at least 2 books set in Boston, and yeah, I loved the mystery and the romance of this book!
Vickie and Griffin have met before, however briefly. He's the rookie cop that was assisted by the ghost of her baby sitting charge's brother in capturing the bad guy. And well, now they're both grown up and dealing with another killer!
I enjoyed watching these two together! There was this feeling of uncertainty, because hey, they're meeting under pretty awful circumstances, death and kidnapping. But they were also really good together! They had a great dynamic and I really enjoyed reading about them!
This bad guy was pretty clever. His use of poetry and of hiding the victims, pitting the police against time, creepy but clever. So yeah, taking him down was really great, because it meant that he wasn't hurting anybody anymore!
Really fantastic book, and I really enjoyed it! Only 1 book, and I'll be fully caught up, yeah!

Another winner in the Krewe of Hunters series. I genuinely enjoy reading Graham's books as they contain such well researched history mixed in with the fictional plot. The setting of Boston is such a great place to have the past and the present interact. I very much enjoyed the character development as well, very relate-able protagonists.

Another great Krewe of Hunters book! If it has Heather Graham as the author I read it! No disappointment with this one at all!

Another great addition to the Krewe of Hunters series. Lots of interesting history in this one. This series never gets old. Looking forward to the next one.

I really enjoyed this book. As usual Heather Graham tells a great story that pulls you in from the start and keeps you hooked til the end. With the story based in Boston, I love how she uses some local history to help with the story line. This book had the paranormal along with romance and mystery. I thought I had it figured out but I was totally wrong. Her Krewe series are the best books. I can't wait until the next one comes out. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

This was one of the best Krewe Hunters yet. This book has murder, ghost , mystery and great setting for a murder mystery. Can a girl who escaped death once do it again or will she die this time. What I enjoy about each Krewe book is the city it's set in and the detailed description of each location from Louisiana, Florida, Texas, Boston etc. With each location you get a history lesson in that cities past and present and a detailed description of beauty that each on holds. The mystery is masterfully woven and slightly complex but with ghost leading you around and protecting you what could go wrong

This is another exciting story from Heather Graham. Her major characters are solving mysteries with their ghost partners. Both Vickie and her FBI protecter are smart and compelling characters. They work together to solve a brutal and violent series of murders. The end was a surprise to me since I thought I had everything figured out.

I love this group of "detectives". Please give me more!

Another intriguing installment in the Krewe of Hunters series. Readers will enjoy the new addition to the series with Heather Graham's mix of romance, adventure and bits of history as the Krewe solve another case just in the nick of time.

This book didn't have the regular Krewe of Hunters feel too it and I couldn't get invested in the story. The two main characters didn't help either, they had zero believable connection. The whole story felt very forced and not well put together.

Completely enjoyed this addition to the Krewe series, one of the best series out there. You become one with the characters and even without the ability to see ghosts, you believe. Set in Boston, there is some interesting history which enhances the plot. I highly recommend this book and all of Heather Graham's Krewe of Hunters books.

I love the Krewe series. Mystery, Romance, and ghost. It does not get much better

When she was seventeen years old, Vickie Preston survived an attack by a serial killer who had broken into the home where she was babysitting. She kept hearing noises in the house and chalked them up to her "nerves" and viewing too many horror films. Then a ghost (Dylan- the family's dead son)appeared and told her to get out of the house. She grabs Noah, the toddler she is babysitting, and runs out of the house and up to officer Price who saves their lives.
Years later she is drawn into a police investigation when the killer uses her name as one of the clues in a note left for police. A killer (or killers) known as the Undertaker has been kidnapping women and burying them alive, leaving notes with clues as to where their victims might be buried. She comes back in contact with Griffin Price who was the police officer who saved her when she was Seventeen years old.
Special Agent Griffin Price left the Boston police department to work with the Krewe of Hunters, FBI's special unit of paranormal investigators. He has been seeing ghosts all of his life. He also saw the ghost of Dylan the night he saved Vickie and the child she was babysitting from a serial killer. He has always felt a bond to Vickie after that night and knows that somehow everything is all related to what brought them together years ago.
As women keep getting taken, Vickie helps Griffin and his partner attempt to find the missing women in time to save their lives while trying to learn the identity of the killer or killers. Vickie has vast knowledge of Boston and with her insights they are able to find some victims before they suffocate. She begins to have "dreams" of an angel who gives her clues. Dylan is also around to help whenever he can. All together they are on a hunt for the killers and it is clear that the killers are also on the hunt- for who? Vickie?
I really enjoyed this book. It was a fast read with great pacing. I love putting on my detective hat and trying to figure out the identity of the killer/killers. I did think I had things figured out. I thought I knew without a doubt who one of the killers was -and I was WRONG! I kinda like when that happens. I like that there were a few plot twists and turns. Some aha moments.
This book had a lot of things going for it: there is the paranormal element, a romance element, a mystery, suspense and a lot of history of Boston. The Author really did her research. I lived in the Boston area for years and I learned some more about Boston's history in this book! I liked how the Author blended all of the above elements - nothing was ever over the top. I think that fans of various genres can enjoy this book.

Another great Krewe title! I loved it and can't wait for Vicki's involvement in the future. That cliffhanger at the end definately has me excited for what's to come.

As a big fan of this series I was pleased at how well this book developed new characters. As usual the evil that is portrayed is chilling and disturbing. The development of the ancillary characters in this book is particularly good.
