This is the first book I've read by this author and it definitely wont be the last. This is such an amazing read, with some raw emotional moments within the story. This book flows really well and the characters are amazingly written. This author has a fab way of writing which brings the characters to life, sucking you into there story. This is definitely a page turner of a book, I just couldn't put it down till I'd finished it. I cant wait to read more from this author in the future.
Highly recommended
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book

This Time is a heartfelt, beautiful journey of two people dealing with the aftermath of the ends of two different relationships. Alison has been through hell with her husband. He is an abusive cheater who not only physically, but emotionally, abused her for years. She finally gets up the courage to leave him, but, of course, dissolving a relationship like that is never smooth going. She and her two children move and start over. She gets a job with her friend Jonathan, and it's through him she meets Ethan again, a guy she had been friends with in high school before he brushed her off after she asked him out. Ethan too is divorced and has a young daughter near her own daughter's age. They live a couple hours apart from each other, though, so their initial relationship is conducted through mostly flirty texting and phone calls.
I love Alison and Ethan. She's strong and independent and is a fiercely protective mom. She hasn't let her past abusive relationship turn her bitter or cynical. She has doubts, though, and insecurities, as we all do and sometimes they hamper their burgeoning relationship. Ethan is sweet and swoon worthy and so loving. He's the perfect hero, any woman would love to fall in love with a guy like him. Together, the two of them are so sexy and sweet.
If second chances are your thing, I recommend you read This Time. Be forewarned, though, that there are possible abuse triggers, so stay away if you can't handle these kinds situations.

Wow!! This book will take you on an emotional ride! I caution anyone whose been in an abusive relationship because it could cause some triggers.
The book will tear you apart and then put you back together... you'll fall in love and feel like you heart is breaking, you will feel cautious and want to throw caution to the wind.... and you will experience your heart pounding for true love and also fear,,,,,, and you'll enjoy every minute because the author puts you back together!

This Time is a very good solid story. Good writing all around .Enjoyed!

All I can say right now is Wow!
That was one crazy roller coaster of a book. It made you feel every emotion while reading it.
A.J. Warner did an amazing job writing this one.
It touches on a lot of domestic violent situations that is a very touchy subject to try and write about.
Everything about this story felt very real.
I really fell in love with Alison and Ethan. They both had to overcome so much in their lives. It is amazing they were able to remeet and fall in love so deeply with each other.
I couldn't imagine living in Alison's shoes and I know there are many women out there that have.
I really enjoyed this book. It totally grabbed me and pulled me in all the way until the perfect ending.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

Hold onto your panties because Ethan Glenn will be your new book boyfriend after reading this gem! #swoon This Time is a story about about starting over and second chances. Alison Scott finally takes control of her life after fifteen years and leaves her extremely abusive husband. I found myself fist pumping when she finally put her foot down and left because Tyler is hands down the worst husband in the history of books. And that's putting it nicely. He's physically abusive AND a cheater. Just NO! Not only does Alison leave him but she moves, with her two children, to a new town for a new start. She works for her good friend, Johnathon, and it's through him that she reconnects with high school crush, Ethan Glenn. Six foot, five inches of muscle and bearded hotness. He once rejected Alison in high school (it's pretty funny when you find out why) but now he wants her in a bad way. Because they live a few hours away from each other the two reconnect through social media and start their romance through flirty phone calls and text messages. The chemistry is smoldering and a beautiful love develops despite the fact that both Ethan and Alison are dealing with issues from their past.
I don't want to give out any spoilers so all I can really say is that Ethan Glenn is one of my favorite male characters of all time and I won't soon forget him. He's a man's man all the way but he's also sensitive and loyal, probably to a fault. He knows about Alison's abusive marriage and he treats her with such respect and dignity, the way she or any woman should be treated. He's so understanding when Alison has apprehensions and how could she not after everything she's been through with her ex-husband?
I was really rooting for Alison from the beginning because she certainly got the short end of the stick when it comes to husbands. But what I loved about her was despite everything that Tyler had put her through, she was open to another relationship. She didn't project Tyler's actions on Ethan. She realized that not all men are abusive cheaters and I found that really refreshing. I feel like any woman could easily swear off men forever after going through what Alison went through. Don't get me wrong, Alison certainly has her doubts and misgivings but I didn't get annoyed by them. I understood it and even expected her to be more reluctant in her relationship with Ethan. The book moves at a steady pace and unfortunately, Tyler does show up again. I knew he would and there was always that nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach, wondering when he was going to show up and ruin things. It's not pretty when we he does, either.
Although the story does have a happy ending, Warner had me doubting for a bit but I liked the unpredictability she created. It made the end all the more satisfying. This truly is a wonderful story. There is plenty of steam but it's realistic. There are loud out loud parts and other times the story is extremely sad, so have some tissues ready. This Time will give you all the feels and I hope you enjoy is as much as I did!

Another wonderful find on net galley. A new author for me and a very enjoyable book. Well written and very likeable characters. Definitely recommend.

The story was a lot of telling me and no really showing me the connection between the two. A lot of details surrounding what was happening kept me from connecting with the characters.
