Jo (JoAnne) Ward’s character had me at hello, folks. Every since I was first introduced to her in the previous books of this series, I couldn’t wait to see this tough, small town, wishes she could redo the past/carries the weight of the world on her shoulders female sheriff get her own HEA. Well, I’m here to give my sworn statement it was well worth the wait. As usual, Ms. Bybee did not disappoint.

Gill Clausen, Jo’s FBI agent love interest, was her perfect match. He was the whole package, folks, and their love connection felt like the real deal. This alpha protective, handsome, brawny, mountain of muscle had the brains to match and a heart he couldn’t help but surrender completely to Jo. Their instant chemistry, flirty back and forth banter, and genuine emotional connection as they got to know each other had me riveted until the very end. I absolutely loved how he couldn’t seem to stay away from her, even after their inevitable separation.

The bizarre turn of events/twists and turns that finally revealed what happened to Jo’s deceased father ten years earlier certainly took me by surprise. Though I must admit it bothered me Jo’s very respectable father got involved with someone he shouldn’t have and how he kept quiet about it even after another big, unexpected reveal was made.

So, in summary, my fellow romance book-loving friends, I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic tale. Catherine Bybee will continue to be an author that always catches my eye with her new releases. Here’s to hoping you’ll feel the same and that my review has been helpful in some way in deciding if this book is a good fit for you.

Book 2 - Staying For Good, Pages: 322, 1/24/17 (Zoe & Luke)

I have been waiting for Jo’s story and it doesn’t disappoint! I really enjoyed Jo and Gill, they had amazing chemistry but beyond that they had a lot in common and they built a caring and strong relationship on more than sex. I loved that there was no stupid fight just to make up, the romance just built brick by brick. This was a fitting end for this series and wrapped everything up quite nicely. I also really enjoyed the suspense elements, who killed Jo’s father and who’s stalking her now, is it the obvious suspect or someone else….are the two things related or not, so many questions. I also have to say I loved Gill, so much. Big, tough, alpha FBI agent but totally able to recognize Jo’s strengths and wants to see them developed. This is a great book, it stands alone just fine but it’s best when you’ve read the previous two books. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

Star Review Making It Right (Most Likely To #3) by Catherine Bybee

This is book 3 in what has come to be one of my favourite series. I had the pleasure of meeting the author, Catherine Bybee in Sydney and I was absolutely thrilled. This is Jo and Gil's story and in my opinion what a way to end the series.

This series is like coming home to a family. We were able to catch up with Jo's best friends Zoe and her fiancee Luke as well as Mel, her daughter Hope and husband Wyatt. One of my favourite characters from this series is Ms. Gina, the owner of the Bed & Breakfast in River Bend; she makes me laugh repeatedly.

Jo has closed herself off since the death of her father 10 years ago, avoiding commitment. I loved that she had to temporarily leave River Bend for tactical training only to meet the man of her dreams, Agent Gil Clausen and what a man! Seriously swoon worthy, hot and dangerous. Jo is beginning to realize that being Sheriff of River Bend was her father's dream, not hers. Gil challenges her on so many levels.

I really love the depth of the characters Ms. Bybee writes, they are not one dimensional, there is always that added layer. When trouble starts when Jo and Gil start re-investigating her father's death danger once again comes to River Bend. Jo will never move on with her life until she has closure. Gil is just the man to help her with this.

This is a story of friendship and love;I would love to visit River Bend and the awesome group of friends that surround Jo and Gil. There were quite a few suprises as well that I did not see coming which added to my overall enjoyment of Making It Right.

This was another fantastic book by Catherine Bybee and I am really saddened that this is the last book in the series.

I received an ARC through the publisher via Netgalley.

The third and final installment in the Most Likely To series, Making It Right, finally give us the story of Jo, the town sheriff and once known as Most Likely to End up in Jail, in the high school yearbook. While each story is a stand alone, the story develops and grows from the first book, relationships are made, and some secrets of prior characters are revealed. I would highly recommend reading from the first book in the series because this is definitely one of my favorite small town romance’s. Well written, engaging characters, killer plot, and that wonderful small town feels, I was hooked beginning to end.

“I’m going to remember this.”
“When we’re eighty, you can repay the favor.”
She smiled. “I’ll leave your sagging ass hanging out of a hospital gown for everyone to see.”
He faked a frown. “Who says it will be saggy?”
“Everyone’s ass is sagging at eighty.”
“I’m going to rock an eighty year old butt.”

Jo was a wild child growing up, always rebelling against her sheriff father’s rules. When he dies, it turns her world upside down and she turns her life around to the point that she picks up his mantle as sheriff of River Bend. However, she never believed that his death was accidental and has always tried to find the real answer behind it. Deciding that she needs a change of pace, she signs up for a special training. But this training offered more than she bargained for when she meets Gill Clausen. Suddenly, life takes on a whole new meaning as the once closed off Jo slowly sees a future with this sexy, stubborn man.

He tasted like fire and a little bit of sin. When she opened to him, his indecent, open-mouth kisses became the fastest addiction Jo had ever experienced. She held on to his neck, lifted on her toes to kiss him back.
For a libido that sat dormant for years at a time, it sure knew how to fire to life when needed. Everything strained toward this Viking of a man.

The story revolves around Jo and trying to find out what happens to her father and damn if it isn’t so well written that it had me guessing until the end as to what happened and why. All this combined with this wonderful romance between stubborn Jo and equally stubborn Gill, and the wonderful relationship between these three friends that are more like sisters, left me with a feeling that this series would always leave an imprint on me. I just can not get over how wonderfully written the stories are and how much these characters have become a part of me. I loved these three ladies stories and I am so sad to see the end of the series but excited to see what the author will write next. Five stars for an amazing series.

“Who do you take after? Mom or dad?”
“I’m the spitting image of my dad. It’s scary knowing what you’re going to look like when you’re going to look like when you’re sixty.”
“I’m sure he’s handsome.”
“Beer gut.”
Jo laughed. “That’s easily fixed.”
“That’s why I drink whiskey.”

Since being appointed Sherif of River Bend, fresh out of the Police Academy ten years prior, Jo has had few opportunities to take time for herself - and even less time to let her hair down, away from the prying eyes of the small town gossip mill.

She is taken by surprise by FBI agent Gill Clausen, partner of her friend Shauna, and the immediate attraction that buzzes between them. When they return to Oregon, it's not long before Gill makes the two hour trek from Eugene to see Jo, and soon the two of them are traveling back and forth on a regular basis.

As Gill and Jo become closer, things in River Bend start heating up. From the moment Jo's father's death was deemed accidental, her gut told her that something was off, and she has been dedicated to uncovering the truth, so when things start going awry in River Bend, Jo's instincts scream that they're related to her father's death.

Catherine's books are always full of heart and love, with a healthy dose of suspense thrown in to keep the reader on the edge of their seat. As the third book in the Most Likely To trilogy, former wild child turned uptight sherif finally meets her match in Gill, a man who has the bad boy look she's always been drawn to, but lives on the right side of the law.

The chemistry between Jo and Gill is off the charts from the first moment they lay eyes on each other, and his persistence, his determination to not allow Jo to wall herself off, makes him the perfect match for her.

Making It Right has the perfect blend of passion and mystery to keep the reader invested from beginning to end. This book was a stay up all night to finish in one sitting read for me, which I haven't done in a very long time - an absolute must read.

I was really looking forward to reading Jo's story after the previous books set up her background. Jo, Zoe, and Mel were such good friends and you could tell their bond was strong. Jo knows something is amiss in town, so she goes to a weeklong class in Quantico to hone her skills. In rolls Rocco, and she's off to the races. What a great way to set up the book! I was seriously itching for more at the end, but Gill was a fabulous complement to Jo and I loved their HEA!

I’ll most likely be so sad to see this “Most Likely” series end so soon. Stories of three friends, their pasts and presents, their hopes and dreams, all so beautifully penned by Catherine Bybee.

The final book, “Making It Right”, gives the rebel of Rive Bend, OR, her very own happy ending as she finally puts a closure to the mystery surrounding her father’s death. Inheriting her father’s legacy as the Sheriff of River Bend, Jo Anne Ward is desperate for some action, as the tiny town makes her job too easy. Signing up for expert law enforcement training is a turning point of her life, bringing special FBI agent Gill Clausen into her life.

As they work together at the training seminar, they also work together in quenching the lustful thirst of desire that sparks between them. To Jo’s restless heart, Gill is her anecdote of patience. As things turn dangerous in River Bend, Gill is the shield of protection that helps in bringing home the truth of Jo’s father’s death and secrets buried long ago.

It’s a beautifully narrated story, charming with witty dialogues, the essence of friendship and care so eloquently shown, the passion and love sublime and the whole story just gives off warmth that fills a heart with pleasure and happiness.

A brilliant end to the series as she finally gives Jo her dream of moving out of River Bend, yet close enough to visit her friends. A protective and calm federal agent who gives her new lease of live, beyond River Bend and a dream job with a future together, “Making It Right” for Jo and her friends.

As Bybee says, “Sometimes, friends are all the family we need.”

Catherine Bybee is one of the most beautiful and entertaining writers I’ve had the pleasure of reading and re-visiting several times and this is one series you definitely don’t want to miss reading.

LOVED!! This is the third and final installment in the Most Likely trilogy and I'm sorry to see it end. I've enjoyed getting to know the people of River Bend specifically Mel, Zoe, and Jo. This is Jo's story and it's fantastic.

After being named most likely to go to jail in high school the last place Jo thought she'd be is in her hometown of River Bend as the current sheriff. After her father passed away at a young age she felt she owed it to him to continue in his footsteps, keep the town safe and find out what really happened to him. It's not that she doesn't enjoy it but she's been feeling restless and looking for....more. When she signs up for special training at the Quantico FBI facilities she doesn't know what will come of it but what she didn't expect was meeting Gill Clausen.

Put this one on the must read list, I highly recommend it.

Making It Right is the third and final book in the Most Likely To series. It might be the last but this one definitely ends the series with a great romance, lots of action, in and out of the bedroom, and a mystery that will keep you guessing until the end. The Most Likely To series is about three best friends who after graduating high school goes off in pursuit of different lives than the one that's been predicted in their high school yearbook. Mel, Zoe, and Jo are best friends forever and River Bend is their hometown is where it all began and where they would find their happy ever afters.

Ms. Bybee continues to surprise me with the way she manages to tell a story that has a simple plot and turns into a pulse-pounding romantic suspense novel. Making It Right starts out already in the midst of an unsolved mystery but it also manages to seamlessly weave romantic elements into it. Jo and Gill are explosive together, not just the sex but also their characters ability to complement each other's personality. It's definitely a page turner and it perfectly balances humor, poignancy, sex, romance and mystery suspense. It's definitely a keeper.

This often emotional, always enjoyable series about three best friends finally finding their happily ever afters comes to an end with a tale of a decade old murder, modern day danger and love from an unexpected place. I’ve been waiting for Jo’s tale since I first started this series and this book does not disappoint as the former bad-girl not only finds a guy who can match her, but one who can also help her solve the biggest mystery of her life – who killed her father.

I like Jo a lot. I’ve liked her all series. Her life might not have turned out anything like she planned, but she’s good at her job and she cares enough about River Bend to protect it and the people who live there. I loved seeing her expand her horizons at training and liked that she was given a hint of just how good she could be. But I also love her loyalty to her town and friends and the way she cared for everyone, including the teens who were just like she used to be.

Gill is perfect for her. Mostly because he’s too stubborn to let her walk all over him. I loved that there’s no hesitation for him. He knows they’re good together, he wants more, so he makes it happen. He never belittles Jo’s dedication to her job, even though many would see her as just a small-town cop of nowhere important. She matters, her job matters, and he lets her know that. I loved him. He’s also sexy and a little bit bad and easily matches the wildness Jo’s been hiding for so long.

The mystery is cleverly teased out throughout the book, seeming obvious at times, perhaps too obvious, or is it? There are enough clues to make you think you know, but enough doubts to leave you wondering almost all the way to the end. Combined with the romance, it all comes together to provide a thoroughly satisfying end to a really good series.

Whether this is your first taste of the series or your third, if you like your romances with a bit of mystery and a really well matched couple, plenty of small town antics, some enjoyable friendships and excellent characters, then you should definitely give this a try. I look forward to seeing where Catherine Bybee turns her attention next.

I've been a Catherine Bybee fan since I started reading her books a few years ago. There hasn't been a book that I didn't love and this one is no exception! The final, book in the "Most Likely To" series is my favorite of this series! I love that the three main characters (of each book) are as different as night and day yet have established a wonderful bond & little family in their hometown after being apart for many years.

JoAnne "Jo" Ward, having followed in her father's footsteps to become the town sheriff, is continuing to struggle with his 'accidental' death while wondering if being in River Bend is what she really wants out of life. So she heads east to attend a training seminar that she hopes will hone her current skills and allow her to pick up some news one that may aid in her investigation. The last thing she expects is for her one night stand to turn into something more but that's exactly what she gets with she meets FBI Agent Gill Clausen.

The chemistry between these two is undeniable from their first encounter!!

I was really excited for Jo's story and I was not disappointed. I was sucked in from the beginning by the mystery aspect. I loved getting a glimpse into the lives of the other residence of River Bend. I adore the friendship between Jo, Zoe, Mel, and Miss Gina. Gill fit in so easily it was hard to believe he hasn't been around this whole time.

I'm sad this series has come to an end but I can't wait to see what Catherine has in store for us next! I have no doubt it will be great!

Wrapping up the series and what a way to get it done. Jo has met her match in sexy FBI agent Gill Clausen. Family secrets abound in this thrilling conclusion that had me glued to the pages needing to find out the answers. And to see what kind of man could finally make Jo see she was more than just a badge.

Jo is growing more and more restless in her job. And her life. Seemingly stuck in River Bend she never sees anything going on as Sheriff. So she decides to shake things up a bit and head to D.C. for a week of training. Honing her skill and making herself better is what she's after. And if she meets someone for the week all the better. What she didn't expect was a big, sexy agent to take her mind off things. Or the secrets that come out about her father and his personal relationships in the town.

Gill is intruiged by Jo. Feels she's wasting her talent in her small town. Only 2 hours away from her he decides to keep up their little arraingement and see where things go. But danger isn't what he expects. New clues start to pop up about her father's supposed accidental death that bring suspicion to her back door. And almost get her killed. Not once but twice.

As Jo and Gill get closer to finding the answers she needs, they are both finding out they need one another. Not just in a professional way but on a much more personal level. Jo has never been in love but it terrifies her. And its Gill's job to make her see that she wants him forever. But can he keep her safe long enough to do that or will her past come back to get her??

Another great book by Catherine Bybee. I fell in love with River Bend last year when I first ready Doing It Over, and honestly Jo always seemed the least interesting of the gang. Boy was I wrong. As it turns out Jo is one of the more interesting characters in these books and her story was a great read. The contract between Jo's professional life and her personal interactions with her friends and especially Gill. Both Jo and Gill are interesting characters and well developed, but Jo is definitely the more complex one. If this is the last of the Most Likely books I'll be sad to see these characters go but have very much enjoyed reading about them this past year.

In high school, Jo Ward was once named Most Likely To End Up in Jail. Today, she is the sheriff of River Bend, a small town where not much happens. She inherited this job from her father after his death sometime after her high school graduation. His death was declared accidental, but Jo doesn't believe it. She believes he was murdered. Jo is getting antsy that she hasn't been able to find any clues and decides to attend a law enforcement training course in Washington, DC. One of her instructors is FBI agent Gill Clausen. While the mice are away from prying eyes, the mice will play. The suspense in this book kept me reading through the night. I closed my eyes at one point in the story, not wanting to read what I knew was coming! After I laughed at myself, I continued reading. I thoroughly enjoyed how Jo and Gill's relationship played and how he was integrated into her group of friends. I loved how Jo and Gill solved the murder of her father and gave her some closure. Though I am sad to see this series end, I enjoyed how it ended. Well played, Catherine Bybee!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from NetGalley.

I absolutely loved Catherine Bybee’s MAKING IT RIGHT. It is the third and final book of the Most Likely To series. The series is about 3 high school friends Mel, Zoe, and Jo and a few others from a small town in the Pacific NW.

Jo is the town sheriff and needs to keep her private life private. Jo’s taste in men runs on the wild side, preferring bikers with tattoo’s and attitude. She is about to meet her match when she is at Quantico for some FBI field training, this is where she meets “Rocco” Which she thinks is going to be a one night stand.

**My thanks to NetGalley and Montlake Romance, for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This series has continued to get better and better with each book and holy hell, where do i find me an Agent Gill Clausen!!

We get to see a slightly wilder side to Jo along with the other personalities that we know that she has to foster. Jo like her friends finds herself in danger, but this time she has someone else apart from her friends who want to help.

Gill Clausen is a man who has a little wild side, but tempers that with his good side as a federal agent. When Jo comes in for a training course offered by his partner who met and befriended Jo when Hope was missing, Gill finds someone who is his match.

I loved Gill, i loved Jo and the fact we get to see her friends relationships evolve as they continue to be happy since their own books.

This is an author that i always greatly anticipate each and every book and this one has not disappointed.

Another must read book.

I've never met a Catherine Bybee book that I don't love and this one is no different and has quickly shot to the top of my favorites list! The third, and final, book in the "Most Likely To" series is definitely my favorite of these books about three girlfriends who are all so different, but have a bond like no other.

JoAnne "Jo" Ward has struggled for the past ten years with the circumstances surrounding her father's death. It was ruled accidental, but for this sheriff who followed in her father's footsteps, she knows just how conscientious he was and the final cause of death just doesn't feel right to her. Couple that with the fact that small town River Bend is starting to feel stifling and restrictive, Jo sets out to try to figure out exactly where she really belongs.

When Jo heads to the East Coast to attend a seminar that will not only improve her current skills, but hopefully allow her to pick up some others that will help her further her investigation into her father's passing, the last thing she expects to encounter is a federal agent that is going to change everything. Gill Clausen is not only great at what he does in the bureau, but he's good at a lot of other things as well!

As Jo and Gill work together, it's nearly impossible to deny the sparks that are flying between them, however will the very commitment phobic Jo be able to get out of her own way? Or will she push away one of the greatest men she's ever met?

There was something about this book that drew me in from the very beginning. I was already invested in Jo, Mel, Zoe and of course Miss Gina and wanted to know how things evolved for all of them, but I think the combination of the mystery and collaboration by this group of friends that was included intrigued me that much more. I loved how easily Gill fit in with Luke and Wyatt and how the group worked together throughout the book to help one another out.

While I'm sad this series is over, I have absolutely no doubt that we have many other exciting offerings to come from Catherine Bybee and I for one can't wait to see what's next!
