This was a super cute lower YA book. Elvira Parker (Ellie) is a spoiled kid from Chicago who is in trouble. Her parents send her to live in Montana with her uncle Ben for the summer.
Buck Eagle Plume is a quiet kid who's just lost both of his parents. He wants nothing more than to become a rodeo champion. He takes a job on Ellie’s uncle's ranch.
He falls in love with a Blue Roan quarter mare that’s wild. He is determined to tame her but the horse has other ideas.
It was a cute read that all young bourse girls would love!
