Sheikh Ahmed Al-Qasimi and Melanie.
A short, quick romance read.

Extremely beautiful and sweet story. He's a wealthy playboy. She's a responsible businesswoman. They fall in love.

My favorite part was the epilogue where the sultan totally and instantly falls in love with their squishy little baby. I loved that scene.

I really enjoyed this book. Leslie does lovely sensual books with enough plot to make them interesting. This one definitely didn't disappoint.

I enjoyed this book. It was a little predictable, but I enjoyed the fact that the female character, Melanie, pushed the Sheikh to keep her career, that she was independent.

I loved reading the wonderfully written contemporary romance by the fabulously talented Leslie North. I voluntarily reviewed a copy through NetGalley. Read the highly recommended must read love story of Sheikh Ahmed Al-Qasimi and Melanie.

Ahmed is used to making his own path but still wishes to get the respect of his family and father. He must marry an arranged bride but his former love comes into the picture with surprise for this family. Unique that both parties wanted to get out of this arrangement to find their own ways. Enjoyed the second installment for the series.

Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

Sheikh Ahmed Al-Qasimi has to clean up his playboy image or his father will force him into an arranged marriage. While in Manhattan, he meets Melanie while her company is catering the event. The sparks fly and Melanie gives him two days of passion. Ahmed is called back home and has to choose between an arranged marriage and a relationship with a woman he has fallen for.

I enjoyed this book. Great characters and story.

I was really looking forward to reading more about this family with a father who tries to hold on to traditions a little too much, while his sons want to find love and fulfillment. I am glad I did.

This book features the youngest of three sons (which is a Leslie North standard but makes interesting stories and dynamics), Ahmed, who wants to live his life free from restrictions and follow his own dreams. But while struggling with responsibility, and his own interests, he runs across a woman – an American named Melanie, that takes his breath away.

What I enjoyed about this quick read, is that Melanie comes across as a strong woman, who challenges Ahmed to discover what he wants in life, and not solely life by the expectations of others – or at least feel very guilty for pursuing them. She, as a business owner, can hold her own, always working hard, with a goal in mind, which I very much appreciate.

The only downfall of the book is that it was short, which did not leave much room for deeper explorations of both characters, even though they were charming, and easy connect with.

I am looking forward to the third installation of the series, though, to fin out what happens to the middle brother, who is still – at least for the moment – looking for his happy ending.

Leslie North is a national treasure! Her serial novellas are so witty, funny and blow your mind sexy! She writes with such respect to the cultural differences and I can just imagine myself as the heroine, each and every time!

I rave about this author. It's a must read. That's why I go back to Leslie books.

This was an enjoyable, quick read, but I am finding that most of this author's stories are pretty much the same predictable scenario but with different characters.

Much like the first one. Unwanted arranged marriage with an American bride substitute for the unwanted one. This one includes an accidental pregnancy.

Book 2 of the Sharjah Sheikhs is the story of the youngest son. Ahmed Al-Qasimi. As the youngest son, he is rich, intelligent, intuitive and a playboy. His two elder brothers are dutiful and responsible while Ahmed is looking for enjoyment in life. Then, he meets Melanie while on a business trip with his father and brothers to NYC. Melanie is catering a meeting of the Al-Qasimis with business leaders and vendors and she is counting on this high profile meeting to help her catering business. She hadn't planned to meet the attractive Ahmed and after an enjoyable evening and even more enjoyable night...Melanie and Ahmed agree to spend the next two days and nights getting to know each other, enjoying each other, while she shows Ahmed around NYC. During their very active night time adventures, Ahmed notices something unfortunate with their 'protection' but Melanie is asleep and in the morning she is gone.
When Ahmed returns to his home country his father has plans for his future involving an arranged marriage.
This was an entertaining read with a few surprises, and a HEA ending. Although the story is somewhat superficial, it is quick and pleasant with an international flavor.

Back for a second helping of those delicious Al-Qasimi brothers. I loved Ahmed and Melanie’s New York adventures. When Melanie is hired to cater Ahmed’s wedding, you could cut the tension with a knife. (Too many food metaphors?) Another too cute couple in this series. I admit it, I drooled over Ahmed. Enjoy a lazy weekend day with a sheikh. You will be hooked.

So what is in store for Zaid? Cannot wait to see.

Leslie North has another fun book where we see Ahmed, a sheikh, who is in New York on business with his brothers, when he meets a beautiful girl, Melanie, who intrigues him. He convinces her to take a few days off and spend the time with him, which she does. When Ahmed returns home, his father has arranged a marriage for him to a woman who is high maintenance and does not want this marriage either. Ahmed has a plan to get out of the marriage for both of them. Ahmed hires the catering company Melanie works for, she actually owns the company, to cater his wedding.....and, with the help of his future bride, delay the wedding as much as possible. This is a quick read and enjoyable story with fun characters.....will Ahmed and Melanie get their HEA? You must read to find out.
