First of all Stacey Kennedy is an amazing writer. Once you read one of her books you hooked.


Ryder Blackwood is San Francisco's sexy owner of Blackwood Security. He's also the bodyguard for Senator Winters. Being Senator Winters bodyguard has made things hard for him as far as when it comes to Hadley Winters. Ryder has always made sure his loyalty was to Senator Winters. Even though he had feelings for Hadley.

Hadley Winters who loves controls has always wanted Ryder Blackwood since she was little. No matter how hard she tried to get Ryder to even give her the time or day. He always pushed her away. No matter what Hadley wasn't gonna give up.

I like Stacey Kennedy, and I like this series. I was looking forward to this one...and as a book, it did not disappoint, but as a part of the series, I wanted more of the rest of the men, and more resolution in the situation with the bug in the bar that was revealed in the previous book. I felt there was a lot of build up on that situation that was not fully developed in this book.

That said, the attraction and the chemistry with Hadley and Ryder was wonderful, it was hot, and it was compelling. I loved the idea that the stop to them being together was Ryder and that, ironically, her father really had no issue with it (don't worry, happens really early) and you know almost immediately that it is his sense of duty (hence the title) that is causing any issues with them being together.

The writing was strong, as was the pacing around the relationship. There were parts that I felt were cut out too early, but this was around the bug, and the issues that were brought up in the other books.

For the relationship, the chemistry, and the story of Hadley and Ryder, I totally recommend this book...but if you are looking for a lot of forward momentum in the other story, there is not a lot in this one. It is not totally ignored, but it feels like a lot less of a focus than it was in the earlier books.

I do recommend this book.

This was an absolutely amazing intense, exciting, intriguing read with passion, lies, betrayal, blackmail, secrets and twists and turns that keep you rivited to your seat. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book I highly recommend to read this book it's a must read you so won't be disappointed.

These characters have become like friends, and I am always excited to reconnect with them in the next title. While the men may have made up the DC once upon a time, anymore they are the ones who are whipped. ;-) This most recent installment does not disappoint. I had been eagerly waiting for Ryder and Hadley's story since the first title in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed diving in and seeing what happened when a man who refused to shirk his duty and a woman who wouldn't give up on what she wants combust together. I can't wait for the next title and hope to finally solve the missing pieces of the puzzle and meet the woman who will capture Gabe's heart.

Stacey Kennedy is my go-to author when I need something down right dirty. Her Club Sin series sucked me into a world I knew nothing about and fell in love instantly with each story she wrote. The Dirty Little Secrets series did the exact same thing! Even though this book can be read as a standalone it is highly suggested to read the first two in order to get the full affect from each of the characters’ and their back stories.

The characters were written amazingly well and readers can connect with them instantly. Ryder is a wealthy security bussiness owner who takes his work quite seriously. He has an alpha/dominant personality like all Mrs. Kennedy’s beautifully written men, but it doen’t overpower his sense of self. It’s there in the background..you can see it and feel it, but there’s so much more to him than that. Even so, his alpha tendencies want to come out when his client’s daughter, Hadley, is around.

Hadley is wild as she is beautiful and she’s loved Ryder ever since she was a little girl. She isn’t your usual innocent heroine who falls for the player….no….Hadley is her own woman and is in touch with her desires. She knows what she wants and she’s never been afraid to voice it or go out and get it. I think that is why I loved Hadley so much…she wasn’t my usual type of heroine, but Stacey made me fall in love with her all the same! And the chemistry between Ryder and Hadley is smoking hot, in true Stacey Kennedy fashion! I swear, ya’ll won’t be disappointed at all! I had to stop and fan myself a few times because I swear I felt as if I was on fire! That’s how hot this book is!

The overall storyline is more than just an erotic romance, it’s shrouded in drama and mystery. The plot went deeper than the two main characters finding love…it was about political overtaking, kidnapping, blackmail, and loads of corruption. This book had me hooked from page one and I devoured. Stacey Kennedy left me wanting more!!

While each book in this series can be read as a standalone, elements of this story have been introduced in the preceding books, so reading the entire series is recommended for greater insight and enjoyment.

Privately, Ryder Blackwood is part of the Dominant’s Council that helps to oversee the four BDSM sex clubs that he and his friends own in San Francisco. Publicly, he provides security for a prominent Senator. For years, Ryder has harbored feelings for the Senator’s daughter, Hadley Winters. And for years, Ryder has fought against acting on his attraction for Hadley. But when Hadley becomes a pawn in a blackmailing scheme aimed at hurting the Senator, the situation brings Ryder and Hadley closer together. Before long, their mutual attraction intensifies, and their relationship really starts to heat up!

Right from the very start, the story pulled me in, and it never let me go. The push and pull between Ryder and Hadley was addicting, and the sexual chemistry between the pair had me craving more. With twists and turns sprinkled throughout, the storyline was completely enthralling. A perfect blend of sex, romance, and suspense, “Restrained Under His Duty” is a great addition to this series.

I'm in love with this series! It has just the right amount of mystery, excitement and crazy good sex scenes.

Let's not forget these hot alpha males of the Council, I loved each and every story about them and I can't wait for the next one.

This time it was Ryder's turn, he always seemed so controlled and cold, but in this book we see him loose a bit of that while he crumbles under Hadley's feet.

He feels he has a duty towards her father and that tortures him through the whole book, but we know that an attraction as strong as theirs can't be stopped and he is loosing the battle against his mind.

Hadley knows she has wanted him since she was young, he is everything she needs and nothing will get in her way of getting him. She has demons of her own and she needs Ryder to save her; it's a challenge he can't resist, once he truly sees her there's no turning back.

They are fighting together against a common enemy and at the same time trying to figure out how they feel about each other.

The book is full of thrilling and suspenseful moments that will keep you on the edge of your seat, I couldn't put the book down.

This is the third book in this series by Stacey Kennedy. I have read each of the other books as well. The premise of this series is that four men who were Dominants and billionaires, each bought sex clubs in California. As each of the stories has come about, the men all fall in love and give up their sex club. So far, 3 of the men have been featured. There is some suspense in these books and although the storyline was good, I have to say I was not emotionally involved in this plot. It has a political background as a central theme but I had a hard time getting into the story. I usually love and feel emotionally involved in all of Ms Kennedy's books, and it could just be my frame of mind, but this story did not grab me as the others have. This is just to say though, I am looking forward to Gage's book which is the next in this series. Thanks as always to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this for an honest review.

Another hot addition to this sultry series. It seems that Gabe's story is going to be the last book of the series. I am really going to be sorry to see this series end. I really hope that Kennedy will have more BDSM series in store for us!

Ryder is a Senator's Head of Security who has been in love it seems with his daughter Hadley, but has kept his distance. Then Ryder is sent a scandalous threatening photo of Hadley in an underground sex club. Ryder and some of his friends have a secret business in a Sex Club. Which lately the Sex Club have been targeted and someone has been spying on them. Now Ryder goes forward to help protect Hadley and the Senator. Hadley feels that Ryder is everything she has been looking. I loved these two together! This was a fast past, hot enjoyable read! Another great story by Ms. Kennedy!

I really enjoyed this one! It's very well written and the characters are intriguing. The sex is seriously hot and the twists and turns in the story kept things interesting. There's also a nice pace to the story making it one you don't want to miss.

Ryder Blackwood never realized that providing security for a very public senator could bring so much trouble with it. Trouble in the name of Hadley Winters, the senators daughter. He tries to stifle the attraction he feels when it comes to Hadley but some things are too strong to ignore. As their relationship begins to form they found themselves in so very dangerous situations and Hadley has to depend on Ryder for more than she ever imagined.

Ryder Blackwood is a former Army Ranger who runs and owns Blackwood Security, a multimillion dollar, private security company with his three best friends. Senator Gary Winters hired Ryder to be his personal security when he left the military because of his relationship with Ryder’s dad. He also gave Ryder the money to start his security company, and helped get him established. Ryder is fiercely loyal to the Senator. Even though Ryder has feelings for Hadley, he won’t act on them because of his relationship with the Senator.

Hadley Winters is the 25 year old daughter of the Senator and his personal assistant. She has been in love with Ryder since she was a little girl. For the last year, she has upped her game to try to get his attention. When that didn’t get the results she wanted, she turned to the local sex clubs. Now she is being blackmailed with a photograph and video that would cause major damage to the Senator’s career.

The Senator, who is an honest politician (shocking I know!), is getting lots of pressure to sway his vote; offers of money and prestigious positions.

I had no idea who the villain was until he was revealed. That is unusual for me, so kudos to the author!

The suspense had me on edge a few times. The story is well written. The characters are well developed. I loved Ryder’s character. Alpha, loyal, dependable, fierce, intense, focused, dedicated and a true man of his word. He was exactly what Hadley needed and he just got her. You can feel the chemistry and connection between them.

This is a great romantic suspense. I haven’t read the first two books in the series and easily read it as a standalone. This is my first book by this author and I will definitely be looking for the others. I look forward to Gabe’s story.

From the moment I dived into this sexy little story I was hooked, it was suspenseful and engaging, and had me teetering on the edge of my seat desperate to see how it would all play out... and wow what a story it turned out to be!! The palpable chemistry between Hadley and Ryder spawned some sparks that had my tablet on the verge of melting, and me in dire need of a fan. Their story was a perfectly blended romance story full of passion, mystery, and heartfelt emotion, and I loved every single second that I spent with them! Highly recommend you meet these two, their story will keep you captivated long after the last page is turned!!

Was on edge the entire time!

The characters are developed and deeply involved with every aspect of this read.

Ryder and Hadley collided so wonderfly. You could feel the chemistry that these two possessed. She was the one not to be touched and this made her take matters in her own hands, since Ryder did want too, ugh men. But we see his need from Hadley and her father. ob first, sex second, this made it even harder for him to resist her.

Curves and curves of what might or might not happen. Angst! Angst! Angst! Lots of surprises that make you jerk your head back and say "What?! For real?!"

Definitely was not short of sex. And it was not mundane or the typical "oh baby oh baby oh baby oh". Creative and fun and smoking!!!

This was smooth and fun to read. Had the perfect mix of what I love reading: suspense, angst, drama, what ifs, likeable characters, easy to visualize, well rounded characters and hot steamy sex!

Ryder Blackwood, chief of security for a prominent senator has it bad for his daughter for what seems like forever. Anonymously, he receives a scandalous photo of Hadley, while in an underground sex club. Not only would it be bad for the senator, but the compromising photo will be bad for Hadley as well. But that's not the worst part. The worst part is the arousal he gains from just looking at her in the photo. He never knew she was into bondage....

Hadley is a risk taker. She takes risks because it makes her feel. She's been into Ryder for a long time, but he continually rebuffs her advances out of loyalty to her father. He makes her feel protected and safe-something she craves. She is also sent the incriminating photo with a message directed at her father. Ryder and his team try to find out what the blackmailer is really after. Until they solve this problem, Ryder takes on Hadley's security personally.

As they work the angles of the threat, it seems Hadley is just a pawn in the scheme to get to the senator. Politics is a rough game. People with a lot of money have a lot to gain or lose, depending on bills that are passed. Stakes get higher as information is scarce and no one knows who to trust.

Restrained Under His Duty is book Three in Stacey Kennedy's Dirty Little Secrets series and it's the best yet! I loved Ryder and his work ethic. He has it bad for Hadley, but doesn't want to shirk his duty either. He's just a jumble. They finally start opening up to each other when Hadley is under Ryder's personal protection. Things get out of hand and their sexual tension boils over. Ryder wars with himself-still. Hadley just wants Ryder. But someone is out there watching their every move.

There was a lot of suspense right from the beginning! Stacey Kennedy stories are always well written and she as a knack for getting you to feel what her characters are. The suspense was ramping up and so were the feelings! Tension was high and I had to find out what I wanted to know!! Being third in the series, there are prior characters that are involved here too, and an underlying story weaving throughout, but it isn't a must to read the others prior to this one. You definitely will want to though, because those books are also awesome to enjoy. Plus it can give you some insight going into this story! We have one more book in this series, and I am dying to read Gabe's story! Bring it on!

When I started this series I was expecting more hard core erotic romance but the first two books surprised me with the softness and romanticism. With Haley being a submissive who uses clubs and pain to find control this story comes the closest to a hard core BDSM theme with the soft under tones of a true HEA romance. 
Haley as a little girl had declared that she was going to grow up and marry Ryder but then their paths seemed to diverge with Ryder as her senator father's full time body guard maintaining his distance from her. Then a tabloid newspaper makes up a story about a budding romance between them while Haley receives a black mail tape of herself with two masked strangers in a compromising situation. Thrust together the walls tumble between the controlled millionaire bodyguard and the senator's beautiful daughter who craves to be controlled.
The first grown up kiss between them is addicting and the distance between the two of them crumbles as Ryder finds himself easing out of guarding the father and gravitating to the daughter who's always rung his buttons. With Haley dealing with a compromising black mail tape and a short clock to get her father to resign from his position as a senator Ryder has to use all his resources in an attempt to find the blackmailer before the senator's career and Haley's reputation blow up.  To complicate matters Ryder has his own share of enemies who are targeting him and his friends who own erotic clubs in the city and form the dominants council.
There's a nice element of mystery and violence that gives this story a nice edgy feel.  Ryder and his top notch security team move into high gear to find the blackmailer and do what is necessary to keep Haley safe.  Meanwhile Ryder and Haley indulge their appetites in her bed with Ryder giving Haley the necessary restraint and pain she needs to keep herself in control with her world unraveling around her.   The mystery behind the person targeting Haley and Ryder remains a mystery until the very end with the author very masterfully keeping her readers on edge.
Ryder does manage to find the mole who's been secretly recording the conversations of him and his four friends where they relax and unwind. Unfortunately the unmasking is an unpleasant surprise for the fourth member of the group and hooks the reader into the final story of the series.   All in all an enjoyable tale.
