A lot of great information for first time parents who haven't heard about the importance of literacy in a baby, toddler and preschooler's life. It hits the major points of the importance of reading, singing and playing in the development of literacy. This might also be useful for childcare providers and daycare centers.

Pick this up at your local library and gain keen insights on how to make reading a vital and enriching part of your child's daily experience. Buy a copy to keep at home as a ready reference or instant source of wildly creative ideas to try out with your children. Every page loaded with concise information, helpful tips, endearing photos of adults interacting with the children, and fun, colorful illustrations. The kids will enjoy flipping through the pages as much as their parents do. Highly recommended.

This book is really great for parents who want to know where to go with their toddlers. It helps parents find ways to use rhymes, songs, and games that will get their child reading for the next step of learning how to read. It also gives lots of suggestions of books to read in it. Though for me it was what I already have learned in my classes to get reading for teaching. This is a great book for parents to read.
