5.0 out of 5 stars Ms. Casey's books are always terrific and this certainly is no exception!!!
An amazing story with a super original beginning, and then proceeds from there to be a dangerous romance. The characters are superb and compelling. The writing is superb. The story is spellbinding. This book compelled me to read it as fast as possible so I could see how it ended.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

In this one it was the hero that I needed someone to smack with a sledgehammer. He was a pushy, sulky emotional-blackmailer bully demanding trust while not giving his in return. I couldn't stand the guy and couldn't stand to finish the book.

I could not get into this book. There were entertaining portions in the beginning, but as time went on and their feelings grew for one another I couldn't get back into the book.

It felt like Mika was never going to trust him, she remained emotionally distant through almost the complete book. I loved the rest of the series and I wish I could say the same about this one as well.

WRONG TURN, RIGHT DIRECTION - ELLE CASEY

#4 in the Bourbon Street Boys romance series

UNEXPECTED - 2.5 stars

Plot - 3.5 stars - When Mika has a baby--completely unexpectedly? really?--she finds herself in a difficult position because of her job and the baby's criminal father. Thibault and the Bourbon Street Boys step in to help her out and keep her safe.

Writing - 2.5 stars - As always, I was drawn right into the story. However, in this case the romance moves very slowly. Perhaps it's because we are meeting a brand-new character who isn't already a part of the group. Or perhaps it's the nature of the plot. But, in any case, I thought it started out great, then it slowed down considerably. I was also disappointed that there was zero chemistry between Thibault and Mika. There was no smooth transition between their enforced togetherness and then their love. The writing was a bit choppy because of quite a bit of repetition--I want you to trust me, I don't trust you, I like you but I don't trust you, blah-blah.

Characters - 3 stars - We've met Thibault as a back-up character since he's part of the security company. But since the story is mostly told through Mika's eyes, it still feels as though we really don't know Thibault at all. He's nice and helpful, but he doesn't come across as protective, no matter what he says. I'd actually rather have Toni protecting me than him. I think it's just that the book is so much softer than others, but not in a good way. Mika is totally new to the series, and she's strong but totally clueless about normal stuff. And both of them were so pointlessly stubborn that they hurt themselves. Annoying.

Title - 3 stars - Totally fits with the previous design for the series, although I still think these are a too long and forgettable because they're confusing and seemingly interchangeable.

Cover - 3 stars - Again, this cover fits with the color scheme and fonts of the previous books in this series. I like the bright color, but the long-hand style of font is somewhat difficult to read.

Overall - 2.5 stars - This was just OK for me and didn't measure up to the previous books in this series. Thibault is a good character, but we never really got to know him very well. He kept himself reserved from Mika, and we didn't see any of the story through his eyes. We do get to know Mika, despite her standoffishness, mostly because she tells the story from her point of view and we can understand her motivations. But I found myself frustrated with both of them because of their stubbornness and insistence on demanding trust from the other while not giving trust themselves. There was zero chemistry between them and absolutely no romance, which was disappointing. All in all, a very disappointing ending to what has been such an enjoyable series to this point.

Do you believe in fate? I sure do and after reading Wrong Turn, Right Direction I believe it even more! Who knew taking a wrong turn up a one-way street could change your life forever. Mika meets Thibault by doing that very thing. When trouble comes her way, he's the only one who's able to help and protect her.

This book is Wrong Turn, Right Direction, book 4 in the Bourbon Street Boys series written by Elle Casey. I love the Bourbon Street crew! Its really cool that the story setting is New Orleans, since it's right around the corner from my home. It's really great to see how close of a group all of them are, and how far they will go to protect each other. Tamika is driving her car when she runs into Thibault...lol. Tamika is a survivor and she is used to taking care of herself. When she finds herself in unknown territory will she be able to trust Thibault? Would Thibault be interested in someone with her past? Elle Casey always delivers a well rounded story with real characters that could be the next door neighbors. What would I give to live next door to their office? Yikes! You should start with book one and read them all! I promise you will not be sorry!

I always enjoy reading Elle Casey's books. I have everyone she has written. Since I read this book in 2017 I don't remember much of the plot. I know I loved it at the time and thought I reviewed it on Amazon with 5 star rating at the time I finished reading it. This particular set of books took place in New Orleans. The main male character was sexy and pleasing to the eye. The girl couldn't help falling in love with him. He was surprised himself that he fell in love. It was a great match. They had to overcome dangerous opticals before they declared their love for each other. I guarantee you'll love this book and the other books that go with it.

To be honest I was expecting something a bit different from Elle Casey. I loved her books in the fantasy genre; War of the Fae, Clash of the Underworlds, etc., but this one was a little too trite for me. It was a cute story though and I did enjoy the verbal play between the two main characters Tamika and Thibault. She’s a strong stubborn woman, and he’s a protective sort of man. If you like The Bourbon Street Boys series you’ll enjoy this book just as much. But if your reading this book right after reading one of her fantasy genre series you’re likely to be disappointed.

As with all of the Bourbon Street Boys stories, this is engaging, witty and hold-your-breath suspenseful. Thibault is the last single person out of the tight group of friends and partners. Gorgeous, smart, loyal and with a definite super-hero complex, he is happy for all of his friends and sister, pairing off and having families, but is there a special somebody for him? Tamika has been stuck in a horrible job working for a bad guy who turns out to be a massive player in the Russian mafia. Having suffered through a lot of heartache and poor choices, she has decided to turn evidence over to the cops to bring down Pavel's empire. Her anxiety over the risk of what she's going to do made her binge eat and suffer from near constant stomach upset. When she finally gets in her car, she's so distracted by her worries and these terrible stomach pains that she doesn't notice until too late that she's actually run her car into a guy in the street. An incredibly hot guy. Who's yelling at her for hitting him with her car. And for driving the wrong way down a one-way street. Sheesh. Oh, and when he takes one look at her huffing and puffing over those stomach cramps, he realizes (even though she didn't) that she's in labor! Thus begins the very uneasy relationship of Thibault and Mika. Full of drama, hilarious dialogue and some seriously bad Russian dudes, this story is a winner. Freaking awesome

The forth installment of the Bourbon Street Boys is action packed and focuses on hot Thibault Delacroix. The last team member to fall, Thibault is as loyal and kind as they come. When Tamika Cleary takes a wrong turn up a one-way street and nearly runs him down, their worlds collide in a life changing way. Tamika has lied to herself for the past few months, but now that she has a beautiful stranger kneeling between her legs and delivering her baby, she has to accept the fact that she was pregnant and is not ready to have the baby of a mafioso. Scared out of her mind and with no place to go, she accepts Thibault's offer of help. Thibault knows Mika is keeping secrets, he also knows there is more to them than meets the eyes. They could be special if only Mika will let him in. He believes he can keep her safe and for as long as she lets him he'll do just that. A slow seduction in a fast paced tale of finding love when fighting for freedom and safety.

'Wrong turn, right direction' by Elle Casey is the perfect concoction of romance, crime, violence, strength and suspense.

When Mika Cleary takes the wrong turn down a one way street and drives into Thibault Delacruix badly injuring his leg she has no idea it is going to start a series of events that will change her life forever. Mika is working for the Russian mafia, she has become an informant for the police and she is about to go into unexpected labour. Once the baby arrives in extraordinary circumstances Mika decides she has to escape once and for all to protect her son. With no one to help her Thibault, known for his superman complex, steps in to save the damsel in distress, however, he has no idea that the ones he loves are now in imminent danger and that the Russian mafia will not stop until Mika is dead.

I really enjoyed this novel. For people who really enjoy true mafia, street crime novels it is not for you. I felt it was much more tongue in cheek as it was so utterly unrealistic. I fell utterly in love with Mika and Thibault and laughed out loud at their relationship with one another. It read as much more of an action/romcom to me. I don't know if this was the genre the author was aiming for but I don't care because I loved it anyway.

This is number 4 in the 'Bourbon Street Boys' Series and even though it's not the best written, most realistic it best book I've ever read I will be returning to the series because it made me smile.

Thank you to netgalley for the ARC in return for an honest review.

I have been following Elle Casey for quite some time now. I love this author and she writes amazing books. This one seemed a bit different from her other books. I felt a bit more serious, and maybe a little more outlandish than the past ones. It still had the comedy, the sweet moments, and the serious moments. I liked it, but not as much as her other books.

I like the fast paced nature of this book. It has good descriptive characters and makes you picture being in New Orleans. I like that it's in a series and the characters carry over to the other books. I'm interested in reading the others in the series.

This is the second book ive read in this series. Its better to read them in order but you don't have to. Its exciting and fun. The steam level and chemistry are high the characters are easy to like and root for. I received an arc of this for my honest review

I really enjoyed Elle's writing in The Bourbon Street Boys series. These were the first books I've read by her and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who like action packed romances, with a little comedy thrown in the mix! I was happy that Thibault finally got his own book and we got to see more of him.

What a great ending to the series!

I enjoyed this title but at times I thought it was a little dragged out.

Mika works for a gangster when she runs T down by mistake. Then all of a sudden he is delivering her baby that she didn't even know she was pregnet with..

this is an enjoyable book.

Wrong Turn Right Direction is book number 4 in the Bourbon Street Boys series by Elle Casey. Wrong Turn... follows the premise of the series while delving deeper into the story of each of the men. Although it is part of a series it can be read as a standalone and enjoyed without confusion.
This is Thibault's story. As with the others, it involves a Bourbon Street Boy and a female in danger.
Tamika makes a wrong turn and runs into Thibault (literally) on a one way street. Mika ends up in danger from her boss and Thibault is there to protect her. There's a special appearance by a brand new character right in the beginning. No spoilers here,
This is an enjoyable book in a great series. Do yourself a favor and read them all.
