Now I will admit that I am not a negative person. I’m pretty positive and cheerful, but this book really spoke to me as it focused on choosing happiness. It also had a theme of self-forgiveness that ran through it (one of my favorite themes, if you know me!). Each chapter was very easy to read, with examples and stories, along with Bible verses and activities. My review copy was an e-book (thank you!), but I think it is a compact little book that you can leave lying around, just waiting to be discovered!
Thank you for making me part of the tour!

Tracie Miles' Unsinkable Faith reads like a good friend talking to you from across a coffee table. Approachable yet convicting, truth-telling yet encouraging, Miles challenges the reader to examine their thoughts and align them with Scripture. It may sound simplistic, but the application certainly isn't - we all know that from personal experience!

We always read about bringing every thought captive to Christ (2 Cor. 10:5) - but what does that really mean? Read Unsinkable Faith for a thoughtful (no pun intended!), biblically-sound take on practically applying this verse and more to your own life. While primarily targeted to women, guys could still take away quite a few good lessons!
I appreciated Miles' willingness to share her own story - both the valleys and the plateaus. This lent great credence to the encouragement she provides the reader; she by no means has had an easy life, and speaks from her heart and her own experience. I would certainly revisit Unsinkable Faith multiple times in future; I'm sure subsequent re-reads will spark different takeaways.

If there was ever a book a woman would need in the moment she feels like sinking, it is this book! I was drawn to it with the idea of the book. Loved that the author seemed to have strong experiences in her material and she was kind. It was straight forward and magical.

This is the best book I have read in some time on how to develop a more optimistic attitude. Miles provides practical instruction about how to develop a positive mind, leading to a more positive life resulting in unsinkable faith. She combines her own story with scientific research and biblical insights.

Miles did not want to be a negative and bitter person as the result of an unwanted divorce after 25 years of marriage. She began to talk with Jesus. She realized she could not change her circumstances but could control her thoughts through the power of the Holy Spirit. It changed her life.

I was impressed with the lessons she shares. She emphasizes being aware of our thoughts, something many ignore. She writes about strongholds of negative thinking and how to combat them. She offers great strategies to help us put our faith in control of our mind. She reminds us we need to be alert to the reality of spiritual warfare too.

This process was not easy for her yet she knew she had the tools from God. She developed the strategy she shares with us. She includes great questions to ask and verses to memorize to replace negative thoughts. She suggests reading this book with a journal and I think that is a great idea.

I highly recommend this book to those who want to take control of their negative thoughts. It will mean work but God has provided the tools and Miles adds a great strategy. For those ready to intentionally change their thought patterns, this book is a wonderful resource.

I received a complimentary egalley of this book through Litfuse. My comments are an independent and honest review.

I started this book somewhat sceptical about the subject matter and how it might come across as a 'self-help' book. However as a committed Christian I really appreciated the helpful wisdom given out over the chapters, especially the scriptures and questions to ask ones self at the end of each. I shall be rereading this with a notebook at hand and may well use it in mentoring in the future. Thanks you.

This book really hit home for me. I too went through a bad divorce and felt hopeless. I know all too well the desperation and bitterness that comes with that situation. However, this book can help anyone who is in a bad situation have hope. The author talks about how changing your thought life will transform the way you live. Its a must read for anyone going through.
