It seems as if every kid goes through a comedian phase, where they love to ask riddles and tell jokes. And it seems as if the worse the joke is, the funnier it is. We’ve given it a whole name: Dad jokes. Dad jokes, knock knock jokes, riddles, wordplay, and puns. It’s all fun and all funny. These books will give your little comedian a whole new repertoire. And they manage to avoid the potty humor genre!

Best Jokes Ever: Jokes for Kids is a fun and filled with a good variety of kid and family friendly jokes. I teach 5th and 6th grade and my students love to find new jokes, so this was perfect for my students. Some were just what we needed to get a smile out of my students, some others were ones were had all heard before or real groaners. As with any collection, some were just what I was looking for, and others were a miss. However, for young joke fans this would make a good addition to their arsenal of appropriate jokes.

I received this ARC from Broadstreet Publishing Group LLC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book was ok, as an adult I didn't find many of them funny but I'm not the target audience and there were a few giggles from the target audience of the book when we read it together, just not as many as I'd hoped having read the blurb, mist certainly weren't the "best jokes ever" sadly - 3 stars

Joke books are those books that attract a certain age group, generally boys although not always. They are usually the children that likes to be silly and follow you around the house or the school yard cracking funnies! I think I have just proved that you don't need to be a ten year old boy or girl to love a good joke book. I was in stitches of laughter as I read Chantelle Grace's ' Best Jokes Ever' book.

A lot of the jokes I hadn't heard before and I had a lot of fun reading them aloud to my visitor at the time...my favourite one was..What did the baby corn say to its mom? "Where is the pop corn?" hee hee hee

There are a couple of things I think are fantastic about this book.
1. The words are spaced out well and although the font is a little bit of a fun type it is still easy to read.
2. The book encourages the reluctant reader to have a go, when your a child it is fun to say jokes to others and if this is all your child reads then they are still being exposed to literacy.
3. The little pictures at the start of each section are very sweet and funny. The character holding their stomach in laughter gives you a sense of what is to come in each section.
Overall I really enjoyed this joke book and think it has a place on many children's bookshelves. It is fun and reading should be fun. So...How did the farmer mend his pants? With cabbage patches.
