Devil you know was a really sweet and somewhat suspenseful novel by L. A. Fiore. It had heat and heart and a swoony hero you couldn't help but love and want to throw in your pocket to keep forever. I absolutely adored Damian and Thea's love story and was just as consumed by their romance as I was with the underlying mystery storyline throughout the story.

Damian and Thea have a history. Once an angry, neglected and abused child, Thea, her twin brother, Cam, and their whole family take Damian under their wing and unofficially adopt him as a member of their family. Over a series of brief flashbacks over 14 years we see the love and loss that Theo and Damian undergo as teenagers and young adults and how in present day, their feelings begin to unravel for eachother once again. But will danger take them away from each other once again before they can reconnect?

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel as a whole and while I found Thea to be a strong heroine, there were parts I blatantly cringed at because it just seemed like she was so aggressive in her pursuit (aka chasing) of him (during present day) when he wasn't giving her the time of day. I wanted her to play hard to get and let him chase her!! She consistently put her life on hold for him and it was time for him to pursue the one he walked away from. She made it sooo easy for him!

All in all, this was a great read and I look forward to Anton's story!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book for an advanced review.

L.A. Fiore is one of my favorite authors. She writes with such emotion that I do have a tendency to cry at times for the beauty and the suspense.

For anyone who loves Beauty and the Beast parallel stories, this Lost Boys series is for you. I have always been the one to gravitate to the dark, damaged male who you want to save and see find his true love and purpose in life.

In Devil You Know we follow Damian thru his whole life from a very small child, and when he sees "her" everything changes. She is the "it" for him. The promise of a life he never thought possible. But the path to that lifetime will take some twists and turns.

It's an emotional, funny, worthy journey for Damian and Thea. I enjoyed it very much, I did think it slowed down in the middle, but once you hit the home stretch it is all worth it.

***5 ‘Definitely a Trigger’ Stars***

This book sent me on an emotional roller coaster ride, but not in the way I expected, or at least not fully. I got a well rounded story of not only two young people falling in love, making decisions that tore them apart and then slowly, sometimes frustratingly so, coming back together and finding that the love they felt as teenagers was timeless, but also of a group of people who became a family by choice and whose bonds only grow stronger as time progresses.

Damian has fended for himself since he was a young child as he had to bear the brunt of a cruel, twisted and obsessive mind, which caused him to keep to himself even as the anger from the unjust treatment grew steadily inside him. But one kind gesture changes his entire world. God, my heart hurt for Damian to see what he went through, and how he survived, was brutal, but through strength of will and a little help from outside sources he didn’t fall into the darkness. Instead he came out of it with a heart so big that he doesn’t always know what to do with it. I loved his over protective smexy tall dark silent and broody alpha ways, though there were many times I wanted to Gibbs smack the man for not speaking up when he needed to.

Thea has always been surrounded by a loving and caring family. She tends to follow her gut and heart over her mind and has a way of getting under a person’s skin and into their hearts without either of them realizing it. I loved Thea. She’s quirky and has a heart of gold. I loved her quirk, verbal vomiting because there was actually a point to it. She is a tough little cookie and had no problem speaking her mind when necessary.

Damian and Thea’s relationship brought out all the feels because we got to experience everything as they happened from start to finish and it made it so easy to continue to root for them to get over themselves and have their HEA, and believe me both of them put me through the ringer where I had to fight the urge to toss my Kindle in the freezer a few times. But what was clear was their hearts were still connected, but their minds needed to catch up. Thankfully, they figure it and prove why they are perfect together. Thea’s outgoing nature balanced out Damian’s much more reserved one, but they were perfectly matched when it came to wanting to protect and take care those they call their own.

The writing, as always, was engaging and the story was well paced. The mystery/suspense storyline was a bit of a surprise, but done well and kept me guessing until the very end. But what I loved the most were Thea and Damian’s very diverse “family”. Each one was well written and can’t wait to get to know them all better as the series progresses.

Holy Cow!!!! This book was amazing. It truly had everything a 5 star read should have.

If you are looking for an epic and poignant love story that spans over time but also a story filled with mystery, intrigue, suspense and twists and turns that you won’t see coming, then you have to pick up L.A. Fiore latest release…..Devil You Know.

This story spans a long period of time and we get to watch the characters grow up before our eyes. I know what are thinking…great this story is going to drag and be long. Well I will tell you this is on the longer side, but it at no time ever drags. This story will sweep you off your feet. You won’t be able to read it fast enough. I was so captivated with this story and I felt like I was a part of these characters lives. I felt what they were feeling. That is a testament to this authors writing skill and ability. I have been a fan of L.A. Fiore since I read the Beautifully Damaged series and I will continue to read her books.

Devil You Know is the first book in her newest Lost Boys Series and I have to say she is off to a wonderful start!!! This book was truly a great read and I honestly don’t think my review can do it justice. As always her writing was flawless and effortless. This story will have you feeling all of your emotions. I cried, laughed, swooned, yell and got mad, but overall I truly felt the love. And not only between Damian and Thea, but with all the characters. I loved that the author showed us that you can be in someone’s family even if you aren’t blood related. This story is told from Dual POV but we got an overwhelming amount of Thea’s POV. I did wish later in the book that we would’ve gotten more of Damian’s POV. I wanted to know his thoughts and feelings when it came to certain parts of the story.

I won’t be talking about this storyline in this book, because I think you need to experience the love story between Damian and Thea for yourself, but also I don’t want to spoil any of the mystery and intrigue that this book is full of.

I loved all the characters we met in this story. I am truly excited to see where she takes this series and the next book to come out. I loved that she gave us some cameo’s from her other books. They happened to be from my favorite book of this authors so it was so cool to see them.

So if you are a fan of L.A. Fiore’s you don’t want to miss this book. If you are a fan of a book that will tap every one of your emotions and is filled with mystery and suspense and a love story that spans over time…..then you NEED to read this book!!!! One for my 2017 Best Reads list!!!

I am a sucker for a well written second chance love story and we are given that in Devil You Know.

The timing was never right.
The love never changed.

One is dark.
One is light.

One is silent
One is vocal.

Both smart.
Both witty.

Both get thrown into the fight of their lives.
Neither will back down.

It was an angst filled read. You shout at them to “just get it together and work it out! Enough already!” Then you realize, “ok, this is needed.” I definitely needed to take some deep breaths. But when Thea and Damian are “together” it is explosive!

Then we have the element of suspense and who is ultimately behind what is happening and you be surprised of who it is. I was certainly miffed and might have flicked them off, (totally did).

Throughout the book we get to see what makes each character who they are, how they are essential to each scene and the part they play to the plot and subplots. They are developed and lifelike and will show you what family and loved ones are all about.

The “good” characters:
You will cheer them on.
Laugh with them.
High five them.
You cry with them.
You will smile with them.

The “bad: characters:
Be disgusted with them.
Totally hate a them.
Want to throttle them.
Want to scream at them

My main thought on this book is this: Teenage love takes a journey through time that is faced with a different path of choices and unexpected danger, to root itself in their souls to bind them eternally.

Wow just wow! It's been a while since I've read a book by this author and now I'm wondering why I left it so long!

Thea is an hilarious character she is so wild a free, she is refreshing which is the complete opposite of Damien. He is broody, dark and intense! Thea and Damien have a connection instantly and they never really lose it. They have their trials as life takes them in different directions but it always put's them on the right path when they need each other the most.

I was hooked on this book and read it pretty much in one sitting, I have met so many characters that I need to have their story told! So I'm dying for the next book.

P.s I also loved the hint of Trace we got there.

From the books of this author's that I've read I have fallen in love with her writing style and the way she can twists the plots. When I read the description of this book I craved to meet these characters, when I saw the cover, I smiled st how beautiful it was and it made me want to start even more.

Damian proves that he is not the product of his past and I have so much respect for the type of man he is, even when I was yelling at him to get his head out of his bum!

Thea was such a believable character. I really love how she strived to do what was best and was a well rounded person.

This was a very powerful love story. We get the flutters of new love, wenget first heart ache and trying to find your place when your not sure.

I LOVED all the secondary characters. Not only Theas family but everyone that come in. They have such a major impact on this story, that it wouldn't be the same with out them.

This book is so good at being out emotions. I cried at 15%, at 40% I was so invested by not only the characters, but also the suspense aspect that the author put into this novel. This is one of those books that make you wonder but also leaves you laughing hysterically at some of the things that come out of the characters mouths.

This book has all the feels! From laughter because characters have no filters and say random stuff, tear of happiness and sorrow, to a mystery that will have your jaw dropping. LA Fiore has weaved a tale of love, honor and truth. But at the same time the ride she takes us on, it's complicated, it's dirty, it's raw, but it's so beautifully done that you have a smile on your face when done! Get ready because Damian and Thea are two characters that you don't want to miss!

Overall, I love the way the author brought together the story. It was part, sweet, part sexy, part mystery, but overall amazing!!! The dialogue flowed beautifully and the plot was fresh, and breathtaking! This author never lets me down when it comes to her books! So, make sure to start this book when you have plenty of time to read it because once you start, you can't stop. 5 stars #2OCCJD

"Three words and I was a goner. I didn't understand what I felt for this boy nor did I appreciate the uniqueness of it at the time, but I did know that little smile and those three words was all it took for Damian Tate to claim a piece of me that I would never get back."

"He curled his back, lowered his head and kissed me. Not a chaste kiss, a hot demanding and hungry kiss--a kiss that curled my toes and weakened my knees. He kissed me like he would die if he didn't, and I kissed him back because I had missed this."

I am a total and I mean total sucker for a good second chance romance and this one takes the cake. This second chance romance transcends half of a lifetime and will play with your emotions.

When we first meet our main characters, Damian and Thea's story starts off just like any other love story. They meet as young kids and develop an amazing friendship that turns into something more. Over time, their connection and love turns into something bigger than the both of them know how to handle. So, they will separate, go their own way, grow and hope to one day find their way back to each other. Over the years, our two beloved characters will grow and change. They will have chance meetings that will leave them begging for more. They will share moments that will frustrate you as the reader and moments that will have you praying that they will finally get their timing right....

Devil You Know is an incredible and emotional story. The characters are raw and very easy to relate to. Their story will suck you in and leave you begging and I mean begging for more. It is a story that you won't be able to put down and that will have you turning the pages faster than you could possibly imagine. Devil You Know is not an easy story to read. It toys with your emotions and at times may have you wanting to throw your kindle. This story will frustrate you. It will make you want to pull out your hair. It will give you hope and make you not want to give up. You will fall in love and your heart will ache. And just when you think that everything is on track, some great twists will be thrown your way. The suspense and mystery will have you glued to the pages, just as much as the romance will.

Devil You Know is an amazing story and one beautiful second chance romance.
